NIGHT ORACLE

Rate this book
Nan Troy’s dreams come true but she sure as hell wishes they wouldn’t; they’re destroying her chances at love and the lives of those around her.

Cal Banks hates to close his eyes; that’s when the night terrors come, leaving him breathless and hollow as his past tries to catch up. He’s hounded by his crazy ex, his domineering sister, and the desperate patrons of his nightclub, The Nocturne. Fleeing day for the safe veil of night, Nan, a frustrated artist, is drawn to the moody ambience of Cal’s nightclub, and then by his magnetic allure.

Falling for each other is not in either of their plans. But neither is the sudden death of Cal’s former fling, which casts suspicion on Nan, nor the orphaned child with a claim to Nan’s past. As they spiral toward love, their attempts to untangle Nan’s dreams unleash a chain of events that imperils the child and Nan’s freedom. Nan will have to rely on a man she’s drawn to but barely knows, and the unpredictable oracle of her dreams, to save them all in this sexy novel of romantic suspense.

Jordan, once again you've outdone yourself. This was a great read. The primary story line meshed beautifully with all the "side stories" to the point that you literally flesh out an entire town as you read along. Forged in Grace and Night Oracle. Both incredible. I need the paperback to go with my Kindle. I can loan it to others this way.

I was so excited about reading this book, and after the first chapter, I should have just walked away. But I kept at it, thinking/hoping that it would get better. it didn't. I had a hard time following the story. I just don't see how everyone thought this book was great because in my opinion, it wasn't.

I love when an author whose work I've read in the past goes down a completely different path. And with Night Oracle, that's what J.P. Rose (aka Jordan Rosenfeld) has done. In Nan and Cal, Rose has created two incredibly damaged people who are drawn together... even if maybe, just maybe, they shouldn't be. Each has their own reason to avoid sleep, and each has issues than eventually spiral out of control. What follows is an intriguing blend of drama, melodrama, intrigue, mystery, secret-fueled shame and some good, old-fashioned lust. To say more would be to give away some of the great surprises that unfold over the course of the story... so I'll leave you with simply a hearty recommendation that you go into the book blind and let the story reveal itself to you.

I was really taken with this book. Having not heard of J P Rose I wondered if it would capture my attention as much as the blurb did.
And it did.

The arrogant nasty seeming bitch of a sister was a character I followed as she was quite complex at first until you got in deeper.

I don't want to give the game away, but this is a unique sexy thriller which will keep you hooked from page to page.

Cal gets night terrors. Nan has this sort of second sight, so together they make for an interesting couple! then Cals ex gets murdered and suspicion is thrown on Nan. All this will keep you glued to the book.

Thank you to Net Galley for allowing me a complimentary copy to read and review.

I was just floored on how good this was. It was suspenseful and sexy, which I loved. Cal and Nan were great characters, each with tough and mysterious past. Nan feels she will never have a chance at love in her life, because her dreams come true. This is a problem. Cal is the owner of a nightclub and has a troubled past that continues to plague him. He also has dream terrors. These two individuals will be headed towards something...but what will that be? I highly recommend Night Oracle for those who enjoy suspense with a sexy side.

This was given to me as a gift.
