Rate this book
Othman Talib attended KGV Secondary School, Seremban for his secondary education. He received Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) from UKM, Master of Science (Pedagogy) from UPM, and Doctor of Education (Science Education) from University of Adelaide, Australia. He has an interest in Chemistry Education and Animation research, where he was awarded with GOLD MEDAL at the Invention, Research and Innovation Exhibition (UPM), the Research and Innovation Exhibition (UPSI) and the Malaysian Technology Expo (MTE 2012), as well as SILVER MEDAL at the Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX 2009). Better known as Dr. OT, he is a casual blogger that discusses problems regarding postgraduate students involved in research and thesis writing. His blog, www.drotspss.blogspot.com has been accepted by many until it was awarded among the three of the best blogs by the Malaysian Educational Blogging Summit 2011. He has produced various techniques and efficient ideas for thesis writing such as RFOT (Research Template of Thesis), OFOT (One File One Thesis), ZDOT (Zero Draft Thesis), KOT (Keep on Track), and SROT (Speed Reading on Target), and he has often invited to conduct workshops for THESIS WRITING, MENDELEY, SPSS and ATLAS.TI.

This book of Zero Draft of Thesis (ZDOT) is written as a reference to participants of "Penulisan Cepat Tesis dan Pengurusan Artikel dengan Mendeley" workshop that he organized. As a consultant under UPM Consultancy Sdn Bhd, the workshops that he organized throughout the country are conducted on the platform of Malaysian Postgraduate Workshop Series (MPWS) and are well-received by the participants. The technique of ZDOT is introduced in workshops that the author conducted, which is an acronym to the technique used to start writing the proposal and followed by the thesis writing. The ZDOT technique is also available at the blog "Suka Penyelidikan Suka Statistik" at www.drotspss.blogspot.com. While producing this book, the blog has been read for about 800,000 times! This figure is surprising for an academic writing-oriented blog related to research and statistic.

A very straightforward guide book on how to write a thesis in one single file using MS Word and Mendeley softwares. Easy to understand and follow. This guide book is to make the process of thesis writing a lot easier and faster! I believe anyone with a basic computer background can follow this, inshaAllah.
