The heart-pounding conclusion to Diana's story! "Absolutely loved the opener of this gritty, sexy new series by Shannon Mayer. It's packed to the gills with action, intrigue, and paranormal badasses! Can't wait to get my hands on the next one."
-Christine Gael, USA Today Bestselling Author
"This is the most fun I've had with a book in I don't know how long! There is this amazing flair of historical, nearly Bridgerton vibes, right down to the sharp humor and sexy men. Throw in the political undertones and the tension between the main characters and I couldn't look away. Do yourself a favor, and get reading."
A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, I was born into a family of Star Wars nuts. I have a lot of siblings (somewhere I lost count but I think there was more than could be numbered on one hand) and being one of the young padawans I was subjected to Star Wars marathons, on a regular basis. If you've read any of my books you'll see there is often a reference to said movies as a small homage to my upbringing. May the force be with you and all that jazz.
I started writing when I realized I didn't want to grow up not believing in magic, or not believing in creatures everyone else said didn't exist. That being said, I have never seen a fairy, unicorn or dragon. I had a neighbour who swore they fed the leprechauns in their garden, but I never caught the little buggers no matter how long I lay in wait. (And consequently had to help the neighbours plant new flowers to replace those I killed waiting for the leprechauns to show their faces.)
Along the way, I found my husband who is the rock that keeps me from floating away into my dreams, and we have a little boy who is the centre of our world. Living on a farm keeps us busy (as if the writing wasn't enough) and I have more than my share of stories about wrestling with cows, helping birth calves and ending up in the creek during the process, falling in the mud (we'll call it mud but we all know that on a farm, mud is rarely mud) and chasing escaped livestock in the hopes the four legged convicts don't make it to the highway.
I've taken up archery, and the goal is to move into horseback archery in time (you know, when I can hit the target on a consistent basis) and when no one is looking, I love to bake (this doesn't happen often as it's hard to keep the sweet treats in stock with two boys in the house.)
As to what's coming next for me? More stories (since those never stop inside my head, I might as well share them with all of you!) and more adventures. Pretty much, when the fancy strikes, I'll jump on it. Leap before you look I'm sure that motto was created for me.
Or was that . . . think big and dream bigger, ready, set, pull the trigger . . . yeah. That one is a good one too. But only if you have a gun. And are hunting elephants. Which is not cool because of so many reasons. Let's stick with the first one with an addendum.
Leap before you look and let your dreams carry you on their wings. And that, my friends, is me in a nutshell.
This series is captivating with a blend of dystopian and magical realism, intense emotional depth, while showcasing the brutal nature of both humans and supernatural beings. From the prologue to the final page, I found myself completely engrossed. Diana's journey, her struggles and self-doubt, the deceit and betrayal, had me instantly hooked. The series is significantly influenced by intricate political dynamics, adding depth to the unfolding story. The concept of found family adds another layer to this world, and I truly appreciated the conclusion of this trilogy. Each installment continues to get better and better! I loved the narration and I can’t wait for the next trilogy!

Well this was an emotional roller coaster – Diana goes through it in this one and while I understand she is grieving and doing her best, I was also internally screaming because she took a lot out on Raven… That vamp is a saint, he is so patient. So much happens in this book but I’ll be honest, the beginning felt like it dragged a bit. In the second half of the book, the pace picks up and the action and twists just become non-stop. I AM SO HAPPY DIANA FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGES WHAT A WORM MAVERICK IS. And yes, that absolutely needed to be all caps because FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! At the same time, GOODNESS ME IS HE EVER TERRIBLE. *insert me re-enacting the Grinch pointing at Maverick’s name and snarling LOATHE ENTIRELY* I also don’t know how I feel about this being the last book in Diana and Raven’s trilogy!?!? Things are a little bittersweet – I’m both sad for Diana, this is truly the end of a chapter for her, but I am also happy for her because she can be free of this weight on her shoulders and focus on other things. Moreover, I feel like there is so much left to do! How can this be the end!? But I will trust in the process and just say that I CANNOT wait to see where this goes and that I really hope we get to see Diana and Raven again on the road to what will surely be an epic battle with Lilis.
Rating: 3.75 rounded to 4 out of 5.
Thank you to the author for the ARC for review. All opinions are my own.
The stakes are high in this thrilling conclusion to Diana & Raven’s trilogy.
Diana is grappling with the loss of a crucial part of her and emotions are high. We see her pushing Raven away because she blames him for taking away her choice. But no matter what Raven and Diana are still drawn to each other and they will need to work together, now more than ever.
With a looming werewolf Civil War and the future of The Alpha Territories hanging in the balance the story is fast paced and full of action. I love how this story gave characters from the first trilogy more of a role and helped build future allies. While our main big bad for the series, Lilis, wasn’t prominent in this story things were still building to the inevitable showdown.
I found this to be a quick book to read in a couple of short sittings. While this book does round up Diana & Raven’s part of this series, this definitely won’t be the last we see of them.
Thank you to Shannon Mayer for gifting me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Consumed by Fate by Shannon Mayer The Alpha Territories book 6
I just love how Shannon always picks up right where she left us in the previous book. It’s like I didn’t have to wait the months for the new one. 😆 I’ll be honest, Diana got on my nerves the first few chapters because of her whining BUT it did get better and afterwards I realized I was being too hard on her. She did go through something life changing and honestly who wouldn’t be upset? Diana is such a queen through and through, she’s fierce, loyal, and wants to do right by her people.
This book is definitely getting us ready for the next book within the series and having to deal with the one who shall not be named. It was a good transition book for sure! So much suspense and action, kept me hooked and needing the next page.
The relationship between Diana and Raven is amazing, there is tension between wanting to strangle him but also the desire, sooo much attraction between the two. 🔥 Raven is the epic mate, he does not want to take away any choices if he doesn’t have to, he knows Diana is an independent queen and wants nothing short of everything for her. 5 ⭐️ 3 🌶️ #consumedbyfate #thealphaterritories #shannonmayer #hiddenbyfate #cagedbyfate #fantastybooksofig #fantasyromancebooks

⮞ 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 ⮜ I loved every character in this book minus Maverick, he legit can go and kick rocks. OMG the most annoying dude and you could tell he's a piece of work from miles away!
⮞ 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝-𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 ⮜ The world-building is not the main attraction of the story. You get enough details to know your location, how looks look, and the action mostly takes place on the supernatural world hidden by the humans.
⮞ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐝/𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐝 ⮜ I was waiting for this book because I needed to see how Diana's story will end. It's fast-paced, funny and really takes you on an adventure, and the romance that forbidden romance between a Werewolf and a Vampire? O.M.G, loved it! Is impossible not to love every character in the book tbh, minus Maverick, never liked him.
⮞ 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞/TW ⮜ Definitely 4 pepper flames. There's multiple sexual scenes quite descriptive, I'd say they are NOT overly smutty but they are definitely not closed doors.
The final book in Diana's story is here and you are in for quite for the whirlwind ride. When we say this book is epic...we mean it. We start off with a fantastic prologue that ensures that if you didn't hate Mav before...you hate him with a passion now. So ready for him to finally get his. But then the story transitions back into familiar territory. Diana is struggling with what Raven did. She knows the truth - that there was no other choice, but she's struggling with herself about it. Understandable, but frustrating nonetheless. Her problems keep mounting, and boy does the tension mount along with it all, too! You're going to be on the edge of your seat half the time on the verge of becoming a nail-biter. LOL! If you don't get chills at certain points reading this book...are you even alive?! LOL! Myrr is still hilarious. I absolutely loved the family dynamics, and the delicious spicy scenes scattered throughout. My advice on the final couple of chapters...grab a couple of tissues...they are going to be tear-jerkers. The story is not over by any stretch and we are here to see it all to the end! Absolutely fantastic story and I can't wait for more!
I started this series without realising I started from book 4 (Diana and Raven’s story) Found family 10/10 (my favourite has to be Myrr she is so unhinged. But overall I loved it, I finished all 3 books in 24 hours i literally couldn’t stop reading. Ending had a few flaws but I’m happy how it ended and I can’t wait to read book 7 and see what happens with the war
I’m giving this book a 4 stars because of the wholesome aspects of it however it pissed me off Diana took 3 books to accept the bond and Maverick is somehow alive after everything. Lots of words but nothing happened
I’m speechless! I’m a mess. Shannon Mayer, words don’t do this one justice. This book was well worth the wait. It blew me away. It has everything, betrayal, heartache, found love, some delicious spice, laughter, all in a world that’s being torn apart. My mind is blown. This has always been my favorite world by you but now, now it’s one of my top favorites. And the epilogue, you’re a genius and I can’t wait to see what happens next
Consumed by Fate is the final of Diana and Raven’s arc and I knew we were in for a doozy. But oddly enough, it almost felt like it dragged a bit? Normally, with this world, I get sucked straight in. I mean, Raven has and will forever hold a slice of my heart. I love the intersecting/over-aching plot lines between the Alpha Territory storylines (Sienna and Diana, so far). I kept wanting to push SOMEONE to tell Diana about the truth behind the little boy from her childhood and just about SCREECHED in joy when the latter half of the story finally made that dream a reality.
But it took until maybe the halfway mark or a little after for the world to suck me back in. Could’ve been the life moments dragging down my enjoyment—I mean I was going through some major life changes, and still am—but it felt like the first half of the book was a lot of filler? I definitely wanted to shake Diana a bit. BUT I also get she was mourning her former life, a part of her soul, and everyone grieves differently. But OH BOY did I absolutely LOVE how she finally started putting Mav in his place and seeing him for the manipulative person that he is. Whereas Raven stayed by her side through it all, even while she was pushing him away.
Even with that slight meh moment, this is still a wonderful world with amazing characters that I cannot wait to keep reading.
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (3.5)
Thank you to Shannon Mayer for providing an early copy to review 🫶
Finally done with Diana and Raven’s arc, and as much as I enjoy Raven as a character, I still have problems liking Diana. She’s just too contrary as a character. One minute she’s all icy royal inside and out and then she’s a hot mess of hormones and doubting herself and back to icy again. She’s a bi-polar roller coaster and it just makes her look selfish (because she is- she has no problem using Raven without remorse for what she wants, but then sulks and spends too much time avoiding him. Being taken in once again by Maverick and his manipulative self certainly doesn’t help.
We’ve already discovered late in the game that Theo secretly has magic, but then we get the same from Maverick? It just seems a bit convenient to the story, forcing the plot onto new paths it didn’t need. Maybe for Theo it will be important later, because it hasn’t been necessary yet… and pushing this “ooh, Maverick has secrets he doesn’t want to come to light” side plot is also a big waste unless he’s somehow going to shove himself into someone else’s story and do something big with it.
We spent most of the novel with calling him Nicholas, but once again the author spends a chapter or so with people calling him Nick before it goes back to Nicholas. Pick one or the other, please, as you have plenty of characters trotting about to start monkeying around with one.
So what did I like of this book? Really, not much.
I won’t be continuing the series either- as it is I’ve now read two romance arcs that were so padded to bloat them to trilogy status when it is definitely not needed. I am six books in and only two of five shards have been found. We have yet to get demon Gabriel’s story completed (only one of those out so far) but we also haven’t had the stories from the Winged Seraphim or the Fae. If the author stands firm with how she’s doling out the books then this means I still have NINE books left just to find the shards and possibly another trilogy to cover the final battle to save the supernatural territories.
Nope. I’ve done by waiting game for books before (looking at you Wheel of Time). It’s fine when you’re younger but I don’t have the patience for it at my age, and definitely not for a subpar series.
As always fast paced! Plus lots of action and heat. Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2025 This Is the 3rd and final book for Diane and Ravens story and the 6th book in a great series! I really grew to love Diane in this series but sad for her at the same time. She was so strong and unbending at first she was not very likable. Yet Raven helped break those barriers. Love that vampire! Diane is just trying so hard to prove herself worthy as a Women to lead her people. A pack of werewolves who look for strength and think only men can lead but Diane has that and more. Even after proving this she proves she always has the future of her wolves and their best interest in mind. Start this journey as we watch Diane mourn a loss and discovering who she really is all while finally finding her true mate and kicking some giant butts. Finally giving Maverick what he deserves. What an emotional roller coaster. We may not see Diane and her family in a final battle with the big baddie in this book series but small battles as she tries to unite the werewolves as they have been divided and lied too by someone she trusted. Loyalty, traders, vampires and werewolves. Gods, Angles and demons. You name it you will find it in this awesome series and lots heat and battles and great characters along the way. Always nonstop action going on. I can not wait to see where the next book in this series takes us and who we may be following. Sienna and Diane have to find the rest of the shards to save their families , friends and the world from ending. I love how we get to hold on to all the old characters we grow to love. All while falling in love with new. What’s next?!? Can’t wait. What a fun fast and exciting read. Don’t miss it!
"Consumed by Fate" is another great installment in the Alpha Territories series. This read challenges Diana in every way. Although Raven saved her life, the result was that she lost her wolf. She is grieving and in her grief she chooses to avoid him. Of course, Maverick attempts to use this as an opportunity to get close to her but it doesn't work. He is definitely a snake and Diana is well aware of it.
Another issue that comes up when Diana loses her wolf is many of her people no longer trust her. Despite all of this Diana has to try to gather allies in order to fight against Lilis and the evil she wants to bring. Diana holds meeting with both allies and enemies to varying degrees of success. One thing for sure, Maverick continues to move forward with his own agenda and he is not opposed to killing Diana and Raven in order to gain the power he seeks.
There are many secrets and truths that will be revealed in this read but I must confess that I also got the feeling that the author was stalling the inevitable a little and running the plot line longer than necessary. I was expecting to be in full battle mode by now. Hopefully, we will be getting to that in the next read in the series.
I enjoyed this installment and was very happy that Diana finally took the blinders off with regards to who and what Maverick is capable of. I can't wait to see where this goes and how it will play out in the ultimate battle with Lilis.
Shannon Mayer does it again! Consumed by Fate is an electrifying, emotional rollercoaster that grabs you by the soul and doesn’t let go. This book delivers everything fans love—high stakes, sizzling tension, betrayal that cuts deep, and a heroine who refuses to back down.
Diana’s journey is gut-wrenching yet empowering. Stripped of her wolf, she’s forced to navigate a world that suddenly sees her as weak, all while facing political upheaval and the looming destruction of the Dark Goddess. Her struggles feel so real that you can’t help but root for her, even when she’s making choices that have you screaming at the pages. And Raven? The brooding, complex, utterly irresistible mate who proves time and time again that he’ll fight for Diana—even when she’s determined to push him away.
The action is nonstop, the romance is deliciously complicated, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Mayer has mastered the art of blending supernatural politics with deep, emotional storytelling, making this installment a gripping read from start to finish. And that ending? Let’s just say it left me breathless and desperate for the next book.
If you love fierce heroines, swoon-worthy mates, and heart-pounding suspense, Consumed by Fate is a must-read. Five stars all the way!
The ending had me tearing up and feeling fierce both at once.
Diana’s story is coming to its end, in this adventure anyway. I love that this is part of an interconnected series and we get to see all our old friends and keep meeting new ones to love.
Diana is the werewolf queen but things are changing quickly. It never sat right with me the way she could never seem to be herself when she was in front of her people. The crown felt ill fitting honestly. Though she certainly never lacked in love for her people. She did everything for their well being. Many things against her felt unfair and was enraging. She sadly lost something very important and you could tell it was not just a loss of her wolf but of everything she believed true of herself.
Raven is one of my favorites. However, i felt his personality was somewhat lost in this book. It seemed he only existed to prop up Diana. While I can appreciate his love and devotion to her, it was a shame that he almost faded into the background in this final book in the trilogy. We saw glimpses here and there but I would have loved to see him shine a bit more.
That epilogue though!!! It was truly epic. We get a meeting, an intro of new characters, and a reuniting! Oh man it was so good.
I can’t wait to see who the next book is about and what the next adventure will be.
Consumed by Fate is the 6th book in the Alpha Territories and was a fantastic conclusion to the Diana's story. From start to finish, I was captivated and couldn't put this down.
The story starts where the previous book ended. Diana went through something life changing and now has to deal with the aftermath, while balancing her duties as Queen of the werewolves and forging alliances to fight 'she who shall not be named'. Her journey was both empowering and heartbreaking and I was rooting for her throughout.
The novel was action packed, steamy, and angsty, filled with tension, secrets, betrayal, political dynamics and so much more. The character growth was incredible and the found family aspect was everything as these characters provided so much support when needed.
This was a well-written, descriptive tale and a fitting ending to Diana's story. I can't wait to see what's next and would definitely recommend it to paranormal romance lovers.
🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 I listened to the audiobook which was narrated by Tilly Hooper and Will Peters. They gave a fantastic performance and brought the characters to life. They gave them differing voices and personalities and were able to bringbout the emotion of the characters. It was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.
Consumed by Fate brings the whirlwind saga of Diana and Raven to an intense, emotional close—while making it clear that the larger battle for the shards and the realm is far from finished. Shannon Mayer once again proves her skill at blending action, magic, and character-driven storytelling into a fast-paced fantasy that keeps you turning pages late into the night.
This final piece in Diana and Raven’s dedicated arc is packed with the tension, betrayal, and high-stakes choices we’ve come to expect. Their bond is tested like never before, and Mayer doesn’t pull punches when it comes to the emotional fallout. Fans of slow-burn development and morally complex heroes will find plenty to love here.
The pacing occasionally felt a bit rushed in places—especially as major decisions and plans piled on toward the climax—but the payoff is worth it. And while it wraps up Diana and Raven’s personal quest with satisfying weight, Mayer leaves enough threads and intrigue to make readers hungry for what’s coming next in the larger fight to recover the shards and save the realm as alliances are made.
If you’ve followed the series this far, Consumed by Fate delivers the payoff you’ve been waiting for—and sets the stage for even more magic, danger, and destiny to come.
OMG I read this in one sitting it was so good! We pick up from where we left off with Diana being really angry at Raven for taking away her decision regarding her wolf but as the story progresses and more is revealed, feelings must be put aside and the team must come together to find a way to bring down the dark goddess Lillis once and for all. It’s one hell of a read as all supernatural factions must work together to find the missing keys but of course there is always one that thinks they are untouchable. On top of that the rebel wolves think they can take down Diana herself as someone in the group sets out to betray them all. It’s a complex and tension filled read and I have to say Diana totally kicks ass in this and I am definitely on her side. Her relationship with Raven is complicated and the chemistry between them is super hot and off the charts and secrets are revealed to Diana that shed new light on her past. It’s an incredible conclusion to Diana’s story, action filled and full of drama and danger but boy this underlying storyline is far from over and I for one cannot wait to continue it.
👑 ⚜️ Book Title - Consumed by Fate ⚜️ Author - Shannon Mayer ⚜️ Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⚜️ Some Genre/Themes/Tropes: Adult Fiction, Romance and Fantasy
I received an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book via the author. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This is my honest review.
What an epic wrap up to Diana and Raven’s story! This book was an absolute whirlwind, packed with intense moments and incredible character growth. Watching these two evolve throughout their journey was both captivating and deeply satisfying.
I also loved the crossover with previous characters—it added an extra layer of depth and nostalgia that made the story even more enjoyable.
I would recommend this book to others. I’m keen to dive back into this world and definitely will look for other books written by this author.
I want to say thank you to the author for the ARC.
Note (How I rate): One is DNF. Two is got there but struggled. Three stars is a good, enjoyable read. Four is an excellent read and five is a comfort read that lingers with me for life (very difficult to get but not impossible).
⭐ Spicy Fantasy Romance ⭐ Wolf Shifters/Vampires ⭐ Fated Mates ⭐ Banter ⭐ Feminine Rage
This is the 6th book in The Alpha Territories series and the 3rd and final one in Diana and Raven's trilogy. Diana is struggling with a huge loss and coming to terms with a new reality amid an already volatile world. She seeks help from the other Territory leaders to banish the evil and restore the Veil.
This book is filled with betrayals, secrets, and alpha males who think they should lead just because they're male. And lots of feminine rage and hurting the fragile male ego. 🙌 Diana is a strong queen who will do anything that will help her people and this conclusion was no different! With the help of her friends and family, her allies, and her loyal Wolves, she can overcome that which threatens to break her and her kingdom. Like all of Shannon's books, you'll find delectable banter, fierce women, possessive mates, and heart stopping action!
I can't wait for the next installment in this series and see where the journey to save The Alpha Territories goes from here! Thank you so much to Shannon for the advanced copy in return for an honest review! ❤
Stand-alone trilogy or larger series consisting of trilogies This is the final book in Diana’s story, which can be read as a stand-alone trilogy OR if you like longer series, you can read it in order with Sienna’s trilogy and learn her story in Taken by Fate where it all begins. Either way, Shannon wraps Diana’s story up with all the action, angst, twists and turns that you’ve come to expect. As Diana is struggling with the loss of her wolf, life continues to go on and throws chaos her way. Chaos of course being Raven and Maverick who are men, need I say more. However, she can feel that they are both hiding something from her. Will those secrets come out and how will she handle them when they do? In this conclusion to Diana’s story, we learn a little more about the history of our characters, which helps build the background for why everything has happened the way it has. We also get to meet a few new characters, and Shannon has already set them up to cause a lot of laughs and action in the remainder of the series/trilogies, but who will the next trilogy be about? Who will pick up the torch to find the next gem and fight the goddess to save the Alpha Territories.
This action-packed installment delivers everything readers have come to expect: epic battles, long-hidden secrets (yes, including Chickenshit's—if any character were deserving of a literary strangle, it’s him), and a summit that unites all the Alphas. But this book also digs deeper, exploring themes of change, evolution, and the shifting dynamics of power.
The stakes are higher than ever as the characters confront treason and face the passing of the mantle. With new forces emerging, we’re left questioning the future of the territories. Will the Veil be restored? Are all the territories destined to hold a piece of the shard? What other unforeseen forces will come into play?
While this is the final chapter for Diana and Raven’s story in the werewolf territory, it also sets the stage for the next territory to unfold. The conclusion of their saga leaves us satisfied but teeming with anticipation for the story that lies ahead. It’s a fulfilling, thought-provoking end to their journey, but also a seamless transition into what comes next in the ever-evolving world of The Alpha Territories.
Consumed by Fate is an absolute masterpiece that had me hooked from the very first page. The emotional journey of the former werewolf queen, torn from her wolf and grappling with betrayal, is both heart-wrenching and exhilarating. The complex relationship between her and Raven is beautifully portrayed, filled with tension, undeniable chemistry, and the struggle between forgiveness and desire.
The plot is a rollercoaster of suspense and action as they navigate perilous alliances and face the looming threat of the Dark Goddess, Lilis. The stakes are incredibly high, and the twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat. The unexpected (yet we all knew) betrayal by a loved one adds a layer of depth and intrigue that makes this book impossible to put down.
The climax is nothing short of epic, with the protagonist facing an impossible choice and ultimately giving her all. The vivid descriptions and intense emotions make every scene come alive. Consumed by Fate is a must-read for fans of supernatural romance and action-packed adventures. Five stars all the way!
All. The. Feels! That’s what I have to say about Consumed by Fate by Shannon Mayer. This is the final part of Diana’s and Raven’s story arc, but we will definitely be seeing them again as the Alpha Territories story continues. This has to be up there as one of my favorite books and series. I loved the conflicts within Diana and Raven and how they finally work through them, how they both grow as characters and how they both face their internal and external battles. And if there is one character that you will love to hate, well, you’ll know him when you read this series. I can’t wait to see how this all inevitably unfolds! Overall, the storyline is captivating and the action kept me on the edge of my seat. The way Shannon describes these scenes is so vivid and real, you can imagine yourself inside the action, emotions running high and waiting with bated breath on how it will all resolve. I can’t speak highly enough of this author and this series! Give this series a try – you will not be disappointed!
Consumed by Fate is the last book in the Werewolf Territories (Alpha Territories series) by Shannon Mayer and I loved it! This book picks up right where Hidden by Fate left off which is what I love about Shannon Mayers books. They’re so fun to read and easy to get into.
Throughout this book, Diana is coming to terms that she is no longer a wolf. She has to fight for her crown and her people some of whom no longer want her to rule over them.
I loved how Diana and Ravens love story wrapped up, I loved how Raven never wanted her to be with him just because they were fated mates but because she loved him for him. He also never stopped her from doing what she needed to as Queen.
I also felt like there wasn’t much happening during this book. I’ll be honest, most of this book felt like a set up for the next alpha territories book which I’m so excited for. Gabe has been a character I’ve loved from the beginning so getting to know him better is something really gonna enjoy! The conflict with Lilith is still coming and I’m very interested to see how everything turns out.
I loved the next chapter of Diana and Raven’s story!! We continue directly after the ending of Hidden By Fate, Diana is facing the issues brought up by the previous books.
I love how Diana not only refuses to give up and is the picture of determination and resilience but that she’s also focused on the best thing for her people. Raven is perfect, set on protecting Diana, whilst respecting her boundaries, his devotion is one that is inspiring and heartwarming!! Their chemistry is also 🔥🔥!!
Their campaign to save the world and fix the veil is a noble one and leads to a plot that does not stop and keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time!!
I love that we still get to see so many of the characters from the first series, Taken By Fate, and I am loving that we’re seeing so much more of Myrr (the oracle) and even more of Scarlett and Dom!! I could have lived without more Maverick but he is essential I suppose even if he is a 🤬🤬
Definitely one to add your tbr!! And I can’t wait to see where the series goes next!!
**⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Electrifying Finale Filled with Passion & Betrayal!**
*Consumed By Fate* is an **absolute page-turner** that kept me hooked from start to finish! Shannon Mayer delivers an **explosive mix of romance, betrayal, and high-stakes action** as the werewolf queen fights to reclaim her strength while navigating an impossible choice—**love or duty**.
The tension between Raven and our fierce heroine is **off the charts**, blending heartache and passion in a way that had me **feeling every emotion**. The world-building is immersive, the political intrigue gripping, and the action sequences are pulse-pounding.
With shocking betrayals, powerful alliances, and a love that **defies fate itself**, this book is a **must-read** for fans of the *Alpha Territories* series. If you love **strong heroines, sizzling chemistry, and edge-of-your-seat storytelling**, you won't want to miss this! 🔥🐺✨
I absolutely love the story of Diana and Raven. It appears this will not be the last time we see them, I just hope it’s more than cameo appearances.
While trying to work on finding the other women who absorbed the rest of the shards, Diana is trying to set up a meeting with leaders of each territory. While that is going on, she deals with mourning her wolf while trying to figure out who she is becoming. She fights her feelings for Raven as she feels he betrayed her by taking a choice away from her. Betrayal of those who never thought a Queen should rule. Meanwhile, Raven is losing his mind not being able to be close to her to help her navigate through it all.
We get a good glimpse into Maverick’s history and this book brings his jerk factor from a 5 to an 8.
We meet a few new characters in this book and I can’t wait to see who will be in the next trilogy.
Before reading this trilogy, I thought there was no way anyone else’s story could be better than Sienna and Dom’s. I should have known Shannon would give us another great set of characters. And the ending………go read it!
This is the final book in Diana’s story. It can be read as a stand-alone trilogy but is part of the same world as Sienna’s trilogy which started with Taken by Fate. Diana’s HEA may be wrapped up but this storyline is far from over.
Diana struggles with the loss of her wolf, and her anguish made my heart ache. Raven continues to keep the secret that she is his fated mate and Maverick, well, my feelings about him were proven correct.
With the final book in this trilogy we learn a little more about some of the characters, which helps us to understand why everything has happened the way it has. We met a few new characters, and the story is set up to continue in the next part of the series (trilogy?). Looking forward to seeing who will be up next to find the next shard and fight the evil goddess to save the Alpha Territories.
