Murder Daddy #2

Kiss, Kill, Thrill Me, Daddy

Rate this book
Tatum
Scotty Levinson is a dead man. My (alleged) best friend has stolen my license, assumed my identity, and married my kidnapper on my behalf. That’s not even the worst part. Now, I find out he’s planned a double wedding for us behind my back. He can claim it’s because he’s too scared to walk down the aisle alone until he’s blue in the face, it doesn’t change facts. Abi Kincaid is my kidnapper, not my husband. So, no. I am not returning home for this busted-up, backwoods wedding, I am not introducing my parents to my kidnapper, and I am not walking down any aisles. Contrary to what he might tell you, I am not Abi Kincaid’s property, nor am I his pretty baby, little one, or any other stupid endearment that falls from his unexplainably delicious lips. I’m just a man with a lackluster plan that will allow me to finally break free.

Abi
Tatum St. James is a mystery. An enigma, wrapped in a hot-pink jockstrap and a skin-tight crop top. For six months, I’ve cared for him. I’ve nursed his broken heart. When he’s lonely, I provide companionship. If he’s drowning in self-doubt, I slip a finger inside to remind him he’s safe. I even indulge his newfound exhibitionist kink, because a body like his deserves to be seen by the masses. He can claim stress-induced memory loss as many times as he wants; six months ago, Tatum St. James begged me to give him a bigger, brighter life, and I always keep my promises.

Kiss, Kill, Thrill Me, Daddy is an over-the-top, absolutely unhinged, dark MM rom-com with exhibitionist themes, kidnapping as a love language, and vast amounts of finger warming. While most of the topics are handled lightly, there are dark subjects broached, so please check the content warnings to decide if this is the book for you. While it can be read as a standalone, it’s best experienced after reading book one, F**k, Marry, Kill Me, Daddy.

“Honestly, Abi, you’re unhinged.” “Da,” he agrees.
“Unhinged for you.”

I have mixed feelings on this one.
Tatum and Abi? YES. This plot line? Not really.
Just like F**k, Marry, Kill Me, Daddy, this was a crazy and wild story, the weirdest found family I’ve ever encountered, and hot AF smut.

Dirty talk through the filter of a Russian accent has no right sounding as sexy as Abi does right now. It’s like he’s fucking me with his voice.

Abi was so sexy and swoony. I loved how he worshipped Tatum, the possessiveness, the absolute adoration for his little one.
BUT, and I didn’t think I’d ever say this, I preferred the more vanilla spice than the crazy kinky scenes.
I enjoy exhibitionism, but these two were into some EXTREME public play. Instead of having that dirty dangerous edge of someone might see us, it crossed the edge and landed in the kind of weird territory of let’s have all our friends watch us have sex.

“Hope you die,” he whispers. I snort. “Yes, I know. You hope I die and hope I cry. But do you know what I hope for?” “What?”
“A lifetime by your side,” I state matter-of-factly.

Other than the crazy sex and the push and pull to their relationship, there wasn’t much of a plot. Pretty enjoyable and fun, but not as much fun as book one was for me.

But the twins though??!! I need the Bens book immediately, because they seemed super cute and hurt and poor babies who need cuddles.

The rounding up is exclusively for Abi, because who doesn’t want a man with an accent that worships the ground you walk on? [Me please, I want one.]

“Like the fucking air I breathe, I need you all the time.”

i thought distance would make my heart grow fonder for this book, but i just don’t think it’s for me. i tried to give it another chance but omg it’s dragging. tbh, it’s a bit ridiculous considering we could’ve gotten our hea a few chapters ago. i don’t get why tatum is still trying to navigate his feelings for abi as if he hasn’t already said he loves him awhile back. and then there’s all this random stuff happening in-between that just feels unnecessary. officially letting this one go 😔

book 1 is definitely better than this, but it’s still promising. will return to sometime later

Well, that was an adventure. I was so excited to continue with Tatum's story after reading F**k, Marry, Kill Me, Daddy (which I absolutely loved). This story was just as over the top and unhinged as the previous book. We get a lot more found family vibes in this one, which always makes me so happy. They are a super dysfunctional found family, but their hearts are in the right place... sort of. These characters have zero boundaries, which made for some crazy shenanigans amongst our Murder Daddy family. I love Tatum so much. Lansdale does a wonderful job of balancing out the serious with comedy. Tatum is still healing from his mentally abusive relationship, but Abi is there to pick up the pieces. Tatum resists him (kind of) every step of the way. The beginning of the story flashes back to when Tatum and Abi meet and the alleged "kidnapping," then flashes forward to 6 months later to the present day. Scotty causes some problems, Tatum isn't super thrilled about it, Brody threatens Tatum (and various inanimate objects), and the Murder Daddy team works through it. This is the most not-so-wholesome wholesome story I have ever read, if that makes any sense to anyone. Whatever. I'm here for it. I laughed so much reading this from the absolute absurdity of it all, and that's a big reason why I love it. This was a crazy fun time, and I'm already looking forward to the next book.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Tatum & Abi just became my absolute new fav book couple out there ~
They are both psychos (less than Brody and Scotty) but damn they are just so precious ! Tatum is my new cinnamon roll that needs protection at ALL COST. Thankfully Abi is here to protect him.
Our Russian stalker is here to support Tatum in any situation even though Tatum is insecure due to his past relationship! My heart bled a little for Abi because he had to fight for his love, and Tatum did not make it easy.

Even though the book is high on second degree and dark humor, each characters have insecurities and real emotions that just hit home. I couldn’t NOT fall in love with them. It’s the “purest” love but a very deep and toxic level (be aware). I really appreciate this série for that and how the author wrote it. 🤌🏻

This book is full of emotion, from sweet level to “please call the police” 🚨😂 and as the first book, it’s a dark rom-com, and I love every second !
Please read the triggers before reading it.

I enjoyed having the whole gang again, Scotty is still deranged and high on degradation with his psycho Daddy Brody. Fee is still here to be the mascot of it all, haha, love that girl !
Scotty is a HUGE little brat in that book, that I wanted to shake him a little at some point 😂 but well, sweet nostalgia from book 1.
The author wrote a found family, borderline poly, without it being poly, just brilliant ! 🤌🏻🤌🏻
Like Abi would say “it just feels right !” 😉

The fact that we saw Tatum’s parents and had a better view on how he and Scotty function as a best friend, was really nice to see. Chef kiss on how he and Brody relationship evolved through the story.
I was scared that Scotty and Brody would have stayed the same as the first book, without any improvement or non improvement ;) but the author did not disappoint ❤️

Now I’m deep into the Ben’s and I just cannot wait for book 3 to come. ❤️

Oh this book... THIS BOOK!!! Absolute bonkers, total carnage, non-stop insanity and I loved every damn word of it!! Tatum is an absolute joy to read and you cannot help but fall in love with him

There are no words that can do this book (or series so far) justice and you simply have to read it to believe it but, damn is this good!!!

Now I'll be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of Abi in book 1 but this book has completely flipped my opinion. I love him, like actual kidnap-me-too-please-daddy love him and I want the whole world to know it. He’s just so bloody adorable!! He’s beyond smitten, totally unhinged in his love for Tatum BUT (and this is the bit I liked the most) he has enough of his sanity left to put a stop to things when he can rationalise the situation. And that is exactly what Tatum needs. He needs someone who is bat-crap crazy and will dance to his dance but he also needs someone to bring the reality back every now & then. He’s perfect, for Tatum and in general and I’m so glad he got his book so I could change my mind about him.

IMO Tatum out-does Scotty in the dramatics department in this and, if you've read Scotty's book, then you'll know that's near impossible to do! But he's such a sweet, fucked up little brat-shit that he's actually perfect and I didn’t think I’d love him as much as I do. Yes he’s a brat but that’s surface level. Beneath all that the tenderness, insecurities and love that the author brings through is stunning. You see this desperately fearful young man who finally has what he wants in Abi (big, strong, protective, hopelessly in love with him) and, now he finally has the chance to be happy by being him; he still has his demons to wrestle with. And yes, like I've said, he is bratty and yes, he’s a bossy little shit but wtf would be the story if he wasn’t?!

Oh, and the slut in me loves that Tatum hardly wears anything but a jockstrap 😂

P. S. Finger warming - big fan... BIG fan!!

There's also soooo much Scotty and Brody in this and I am so here for it. I will NEVER not love these 2 and I am so so glad they’ve stayed exactly the same. So many times you see characters from previous books pop back up and there’s something off about them, like the author can’t be arsed to keep them as they were because they’re not the focal point. But this isn’t the case here. They are literally as I remember them. Scotty is the queen psycho-twink I remember him to be and Brody still threatening random objects because they touched Scotty is something I’ve missed so much!!! Loved them in this, loved how involved in the story they are (not too much so they steal the plot of the book away from A&T, not too little that you just get a glimpse here & there). They are perfect in this and I’m so happy they’re in it and I could literally picture Scotty’s drawings in chapter 5 😂. The only thing missing for me from these 2 is Brody saying The Wrath 🍆.

Honest opinion overall is that, to me, this is Lance Lansdale best work to date. FMK was stonkingly good, it’s what got me into his books in the first place, but this one just pips it to the top oh-so-slightly. The comedy in this is perfect. It’s funny as well as sarcastic and that’s my favourite type. The softer/tender moments are beautiful and even the tantrums/arsehole moments from Tatum are written in a way that the character doesn’t annoy you, just makes you love him even more.

Book 3 is on the way and I cannot wait!!!

I received an ARC of this book from the Author and this is my honest review

Here I am once again, wondering WT actual F did I just read?!
Lance Lansdale Has done it again. ‘Kiss, Kill, Thrill me daddy was utterly, unhinged, batsh*t, beautifully gorgeous chaos, and I am here for it ALL

This is the second book in the ‘Murder Daddy’ series and, whew, I am absolutely loving getting strapped in for this crazy ride. Seriously LOVING IT.

Honestly these books are kind of, ‘you just have to read it’. Right from the authors foreword, you know this isn’t your average romance story. I was crying laughing before I even got to chapter one. I don’t know how a book can make you feel so off kilter but give you such a sense of love and belonging.

Tatum and Abi are life! As mm couples go, they are right up there as favourites , I adored their bizarre, beautiful connection and as strange as the pairing might seem, they are absolute perfection together. I mean, ‘kidnapping and drugging’ aside and all 🤣
Tatum is delicious, he’s a glitter bomb in a confined space. Abi, (oh how I love you Abi) is a lil bit (a lot) psycho , and a lil bit (touch him and 💀 ) obsessive, what could go wrong?!

Ok so they have their issues, as funny as this book is, there is some serious content and some of it gets a bit heavy. The author has an incredible way of separating the humour and all out insanity from the weighty stuff. It’s done with sensitivity and so well written. There is really great balance to this book and that’s what makes it so readable.

The, ummm, spice in this book, 🫣 oh where do I start. There is a LOT going on. There’s exhibitionism and public play (no sharing) on an epic scale, like watch out for the old lady level. Kinks all over the place. Is that finger cold? 🤣 But there’s love, so much love. There’s sweetness and a lot of care and attention. These characters are there for each other, the found family aspect is strong.

And yay! Scotty and Brody are back. I loved this content (more utter deranged delusional bratty behaviour) and the evolution of their relationship. More, more, more of all of these guys please!

Really you do just have to read this book. I will definitely say to read the description and TWs before you go in. I’ve never read anything like this. It feels a bit wrong to crave so much more from this series but here I am lavishing in the delightful depravity of it all bring on the ‘Bens’
This can be read as a standalone but honestly I think you’d need to read the first book to fully be this one.

Thank you Lance for creating this adorably chaotic series, it’s a joy to experience.

Tatum and Abi have my heart! 🩷 I read this in ONE SITTING - I couldn't put it down! 🙌🏻 It was just as unhinged as book one, but so freaking good. And it had me all emotional! 🥹 Scotty was just as chaotic and Brody was Brodying. Tatum is the cutest sassiest ever and Abi 😍😍 Easily another favorite read of the year for me. I also hope we get a book about the Bens and Austin because those sweet boys deserve a happy ever after too 🥺🩷🩷🩷

Abi and Tatum

— dark rom com
— obsessive
— codependency
— exhibitionism
— found family

Sooo I like Tatum and Abi as couple more than I did Scotty and Brody. But, I’m not really sure what else was going on with this?? This felt like it lacked direction.

I mostly just felt bad for Abi. He needed someone to love him completely like he loved others, and I don’t feel like Tatum ever gave that to him. Tatum had his own issues that he had to work through, but he had no problem taking and taking from Abi. Constantly asking more of him while not willing to give anything back to him. I felt Tatum was very manipulative of Abi and very selfish.

I don’t have a problem with one MC having resistance and there being a push/pull. However, Tatum never really “redeemed” himself in my eyes. He got all jealous of Abi and Fee’s relationship, acted jealous and childish, while continuously pushing Abi away. But then he had no problem ignoring Abi and being all over Benji and Bennet?? How many times was Abi’s internal thoughts about having to shove down the pain he was feeling from the things Tatum said/did.

And then there’s the whole exhibitionism aspect. It felt more like Tatum wasn’t capable of just being with Abi. The only way he could justify it was if he was doing it in front of all their friends?? Idk maybe I’m being too sensitive but Abi deserves the world, and honestly I felt like Tatum didn’t deserve him.

I loved Abi and he needs protected at all costs. He had been though so much, and he was always so strong for everyone else. I had trouble connecting with Tatum and since it was mainly his POV this was a hard one for me.

✨ARC REVIEW✨
This book is as unhinged as the first one, if not more. Because exhibitionism, finger warming, and wearing a jockstrap in public, on top of two unreliable narrators, are just a few of the delights this story packs. Abi is devoted, obsessed and as patient as a saint. And Tater Tot is dramatic, lives for Abi's finger in his most sacred place, loves a good public masturbation and is a big fan of CNC.
The amount of times the word 'ejaculate' makes its appearance is too much to count and it made me cackle every time.
It's great to see Scotty and Brody haven't lost their dynamic and haven't become a normal couple. And Fee is amazing.
Also, great bi rep with amazing conversations around regular issues us bi people face.
Lol book, ridiculous shenanigans. And a surprising slow burn.

***ARC Review***

This is my honest and voluntary review for the ARC I received.

Just like the first one, this book is a wild ride that requires you to suspend your disbelief in some parts. It’s completely over the top and zany, but it’s also incredibly charming and endearing. Tatum and Abi’s story can be read as a standalone, but it might be better read after the first book in the Murder Daddy series. While this story is amazing, you might want to pay attention to Lansdale’s content warnings at the beginning of the book, to check for any potential triggers.

Tatum is a make up artist and Abi is the man obsessed with him. They first cross paths when Abi and his girlfriend Fee are looking for Scotty (Tatum’s BFF) and Brody (Scotty’s fiancé). Abi is immediately obsessed with Tatum. He has a soft spot for him and wants to let Tatum see him in a way no one ever has before. Tatum can be a bit bratty at times and is definitely not willing to admit that he wants or needs Abi. Tatum tries to fight him at every turn, but it’s apparent how much Tatum desires Abi on multiple levels. The spice is off the charts in this book! The chemistry between Tatum and Abi is next level.

Abi is unwavering in his devotion to Tatum, and it’s really sweet considering some traumatic events in Abi’s past. One of the ways that Abi comforts Tatum is definitely original (IYKYK). Once Tatum and Abi learn that Scotty and Brody have assumed their identities (because S &B are on the run) and obtained a marriage license, things really get wild - and that’s all before T&A learn about the double wedding Scotty has planned. Honestly, this book reads like a soap opera and I was 100% here for it! I love how Fee has Tatum’s back as well…and someone else’s close to him (again, IYKYK). This book/series gives good found family vibes. It will definitely make you laugh and it has surprising moments of tenderness as well.

Overall, this book is entertaining and delightful. You should check it out!

Author Lance Lansdale's writing & pov is fun, fresh, completely unhinged & OTT hilarious. And just underneath that surface is a heart-tugging, you are my everything kind of love! Are situations unconventional and sometimes (ok, A LOT) ridiculous? Absolutely yes. But it's what I freaking LOVE about this book. It's a wildly fun way to show the beauty of expressing one's love, acceptance, & support; and that there's a multitude of ways to show it, albeit super dirty, somewhat (ok, 100%) scandalously, and totally deliciously smutty!

I am so in love w/ Tatum & Abi! Not gonna lie, Abi is TOP TIER BOOK HUSBAND material! I've already called dibs on him. Abi's MINE! Tatum is totally a brat, which makes me want to hug him through all his trauma caused by his dastardly ex! He's precious & comes alive when Abi shows him how much he loves him. Fiona "Fee" Foster is THE ABSOLUTE BEST! I love her and all her badassery.

Lance Lansdale writes in a way that makes me feel seen as a reader. Not gonna lie, this is a book that would totally bring unsolicited judgement from people I know. Which makes me hide pieces of myself when I'm with them. Will I gladly, enthusiastically still carry this book around town with me? You bet your sweet jock-strapped ass I will!

F**k, Marry, Kill Me, Daddy (book 1) should be read first, as its a continuous story but w/ different MCs that were previously side characters! These books are an absolute blast & totally the most magnificent smutty smut that ever smutted!

3.5/5. I love Tatum. He is precious. He's bratty and insecure, but also so loving and sweet. He cares deeply, he just struggles to show it. I love Abi, too. He's obsessed with Tatum and I'm obsessed with that. He loves him so much he would do literally anything for him even when Tatum gives him nothing in return. I thought they were really fun together in this completely unhinged story. I like their little found family as well as Tatum's real family. I thought it was maybe a little long and could've been slightly shorter with a little less repetition, but overall this was fun. It had me laughing out loud!

Notes: 2/5 spice levels, bratty mc, obsessive mc, possessive mc, LOLs, found family, codependency, size difference, nickname, daddy, instalove, exhibitionism, past relationship trauma/abusive ex, supportive family

**Full ARC REVIEW **

This book is just a different vibe from Book 1 in the best ways. Still completely outrageous. Unhinged laughter. There still had some action scenes as well which I always love action in my books. But I do feel like there's just more of that emotional connection side of it. We get to see Tatum and Abi grow in their relationship, and see how Abi love Tatum. And vice versa.

Abi and Tatum hold a special place in my heart, I adore them. So happy they finally got their HEA!!

What in the name of Lisa Rinna did I just read? Granted, Tatum and Abi are a tad less unhinged than Scotty and Brody, but only a tad.

This book takes you deeper into the Murder Daddy world. The whole gang is present as they get to Texas for a wedding to end all weddings. But things happen and I’ll never look at Walmart the same again.

As with Scotty and Brody’s book, you need to just suspend disbelief and get on this ride and let it take you the places it goes.

There are places where the story meanders a bit. The middle part of the book could be tightened up a bit.

Thank you to Lance Lqnsdale for the ARC. I’m looking forward to the next one.

i’m fine with suspension of disbelief. that’s like not a problem at all.
however, there are a few problems.
one, i wanted to violently murder scotty. i don’t remember him being that insufferable in book 1.
two, reading several 30 minutes chapters feels like punishment to me.
three, same things going on for the whole book.
four, way longer than it needed to be.

i won’t waste my time expanding my thoughts.

i was so looking forward to this book bc Abi & Tatum were really intriguing in the previous book, & with all honesty they sounded much more promising than Brody & Scotty (who annoyed me in this book more than in their book). but i don't even understand what happened in this book.. it was a mess.. & not in a fun way. while i enjoyed some things in the previous book, it become clear to me that this author's humor isn't working for me.. but i was really just so hopeful for Abi & Tatum, bc i did enjoy their interactions in book 1! sadly this book didn't do them justice imo..

also Abi deserved better. so much better than all the tantrums & shit Tatum gave him in this book. i'm so sad for Abi..
i would've loved to see some improvements in the last part of their story, but i had to realize it wasn't worth it for me after i tried picking it up in between other books to give it another (multiple) chance(s), it really just wasn't working for me.. so dnf-ing bc life is too short for books that don't give you the feels you were expecting.. which is ok, not every book is for everyone👋

additional note: idk what possessed me (maybe all the promo i keep seeing about the Bens - which should not spark my interest & get my hopes up, as it's becoming clear this series isn't working for me..🤡) but i ended up skipping ahead & skimming the last few chapters, this whole mess of a story only got crazier & crazier🥴💀🤡 i have no brain cells left to rewrite this or to write a coherent review sorrynotsorry..

Kïss, Kïll, Thrill Me, Daddy

Tatum, was once a go-go boy at his now ex boyfriend’s lounge, had a lovely group of boyfriends minus Benito, Nito can kïck rocks. When he receives a text message from his best friends sälker turned boyfriend, telling him that they’ve run and he needs to keep his head in a swivel, he goes looking for his bestie. Only he doesn’t find him, rather his own stälker who insist on calling him “little one” or “pretty baby” after only one meeting. Tagging along willingly/unwillingly on a trip to find the runaway bestie and his stälker, only to find they are in love and not returning to Texas, so now he’s stuck with all of these crazy people, while his feelings for Abi Kincaid shift but not in a stöckholm sÿndrom kind of way.

Abi, has always known he is bi-sëxual more so leaning towards the females, seeing himself settling down with a woman white picket fence, kiddos running around in the yard. That is until his best friend fled his post, claiming he’d fallen him love with his tärget, putting a bullseÿe on his own back in the process. Unable to trace him they go searching for clues on socials, finding the tärgets best friend who has put Abi into a trance. Being the 3rd in his best friends open relationship has been push aside, Tatum St. James has become his new obsession. He will stop at nothing to claim his “little one” as his own, going as far as letting him be the first one to call him by his real name.

Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Lance, you kept the unhinged roller coaster running with this one, even though I think Scotty and Brody still take that trophy for 1st place, Tatum may be the next in line. I thought Abi was going to be the loose cannön, but seems Tatum took the torch and ran, or he tried since Abi will always chase/find him. Abi is just the sweetest and just wants to be loved by Tater-Tot, it just takes Tatum a lot longer to find his feelings for Abi.

I cannot tell you what I just read, but I can tell you I’ll never forget it.

This is just as…wild? Ridiculous? Fantastic? As the first book, maybe more. It’s a roller coaster will zero destination, just buckle up😂

Abi deserves the world and more. Tatum was meh. He was so flaky that it stopped being cute after a bit but I understood why he was. He was just kinda hypocritical and manipulative when it came to Abi and it broke my heart for both of them.

Scotty is…insufferable in this book so if he’s your fav, I would prepare for his wrath.

I loved how unhinged all of the characters in this world are. Just absolutely bonkers, all of them, in the best possible way. Given that, their story was actually really sweet. Abi is just the best guy and he would do anything for anyone.

Overall, if you loved the first book, you’ll love this. I love how Lance just throws romance norms out the window and just lets these characters fly 🥹🖤

I received a complimentary copy of this book but this is my honest and voluntary review! 🖤🖤

Omg I absolutely devoured F**k, Marry, Kill me Daddy ( Book 1 ) so I’m very excited for this next book. New favourite author unlocked !

Author notes “While this book technically could be read as a standalone, you're probably going to wonder why Scotty is absolutely bananas, so I suggest starting with book one.”

So let’s begin the love story of Tatum and Abi 💕 Put a pause on reality and get ready to lose yourself in zany, the unconventional, hilarious and a lot of sexy times.

Tatum - Make up artist, willing kidnap victim ,the denial is strong, Abi’s Little One

Abi -Hitman, Russian , Insta- love with Tatum, possessive issues, Tatum’s wannabe / potential future Daddy,

These two are pretty much obsessed with each other from the beginning.

“I mean, did I get a little tipsy and set all Fiona’s clothes on fire after I caught her holding Abi’s hand? ”

There’s A LOT of sexy times. Abi is desperately in love , Tatum keeps declaring he is a prisoner in some kinky Stockholm Syndrome scenario.

Aww Tatum … he doesn’t believe anyone can truly love him because he believes he is nothing. Worthless. Tatum constantly pushes Abi away while knowing Abi is his safe place, his home.

“All these conflicting, confusing feelings I have for Abi—I’m not ready to share them yet. They’re mine.”

Tatums issues continuously push Abi away are breaking Abi’s heart.

Scotty, Tatum’s unhinged bestie from Book 1, decides to do a practice run of getting married to his fiancée Brodie. By committing identity fraud. Legally Abi and Tatum are now married. Tatum is terrified.

“You wish to end the marriage?”
“Of course I want to end it. We’re not even dating.”
“I know,” he says, sounding defeated. ”

Aww I just want to hug Abi. He’s in love with a flight risk.

Tatum, Abi, their psychotic best friends and Fiona ( Hitwoman, Brodies ex wife / Abi’s ex lover ) head back home to Tallulah, Texas for Scotty and Brodies wedding.

Abi meets Tatums loving parents who are under the assumption they are engaged thanks to Scotty. Tatum is furious and issuing threats.

“Our little found family is one I love completely, but weapon play and death threats are generally frowned upon by upstanding members of society.”

Unbeknownst to Tatum and Abi, Scotty is in the middle of planning a DOUBLE WEDDING, with them as the other couple.

Abi is fitting in with the in-laws , who have said to call him Mom and Dad . He is loving this and it’s fulfilling some deep need of family for him. They are caring and doting parents but it feels like that marriage is on the rocks . And momma Tatum , does she have a thing for Fiona ?

Tatum’s heart and headspace are all over the place. He won’t admit he wants forever with Abi, he hates hurting him but Tatum can’t seem to let himself have this. It must be past boyfriends trauma because his parents are supportive, and adoring of him.

“Somewhere along the way, we formed this silly, stupid, ridiculous family, and I think part of me wants Abi to find me each time.”

In the midst of wedding preparations , Abi and Tatum go on their first ever official date. Before it even really starts, Tatum is breaking Abi’s heart. Omg Abi loves him so much but Tatum keeps him at arms length and consistently shuts him out. Those ex boyfriends of Tatum have left him with feelings of rejection , damaging his self worth.

“Benito broke you. He forced the Bens to break your heart. Now, I am going to break his neck.”

Ooh fun first date idea - smashing the ex boyfriend’s possessions and having sexy times in his townhouse. Those pricks made Tatum feel like nothing, seriously I need him to love and worship Abi already. This guy is a keeper!!

Argh Tatum declares his love during sex but then accidentally takes it back and doesn’t reassure Abi that he did mean it . OMG !! Stop hurting this precious Russian protector of yours .

Yeah I know… Hurt people hurt people 😭

What the actual fuck?! One of Tatums exes ( Benji) is in a dog crate!! Ok , Benito is evil with his pathetic boyfriend score cards, emotional manipulations oh and the freaking dog crate. He needs to die.

Holy shit! Benito kept another boyfriend - Bennett- locked in the attic! These Ben’s have been traumatised.

While Tatum is lovingly looking after his exes ,poor Abi feels like he’s losing the man he loves.

“The little one belongs to me now. You may not have him back”

Tatum decides the Bens can come home with them, much to Abi’s displeasure.

“The commune is already overrun with murder-happy killers and terroristic twinks. There simply isn’t room.”

Aww poor Abi has a complete Russian breakdown and snaps .

Oh and Tatum honey, you have proved over and over again Abi’s heart is NOT safe with you. You need to smash the concrete around your own heart first.

Hmm so Tatums mother seems to lean towards Fiona and his dad seems to be leaning towards a Ben…

The Bachelor party is held at that bastard Benito’s gay bar. Why?

Ohh … more smashing and destruction of Benito’s property - excellent!

The double wedding day is here! Oh wait , it’s the rehearsal . Oops. In a church with a homophobic pastor presiding.

Tatum and Abi are having a cute moment to themselves when suddenly Abi is shot! What? Why? Who?

“I’ve loved you. All this time. Every single second.”

Aha! I was right! While Abi is in surgery we find out Tatums parents are divorced .Tatums mum and Fiona are together!

Thankfully Abi survives being shot and they get to have a wedding ceremony.

“I am his. He is mine.”

We are at the end of this crazy , roller coaster of a love story. Omg what a ride! Book 3 hmm will that be about Dad and one of the bens? Both bens ? 🤷🏻‍♀️

This one is just as unhinged and off the wall as book 1, except even better. I liked Tatum and Abi's chemistry so much. Honestly a bit more my vibe than Scotty/Brody (though I love them too, I promise).

I absolutely love how zany and unique the characters are in this series. Abi is a complete marshmallow underneath and it was an adorable contrast to the ridiculousness of the plot. I had a lot of fun reading this one just like book 1, this series will certainly get your mind off real life. If you do decide you're brave enough to venture into these books, you're in for a wild and fun ride.

I wish I could read this book for the first time over and over! After reading book 1 in the series, I thought there was no way the crazy in that book could be topped. I was WRONG! This book was a hoot and a half. I laughed so damn hard over and over that I had to eventually clue my poor, confused best friend in on why I had been laughing all day. Explaining the plot to a normal person was not easy 😂! It’s been nearly 10 days since I finished and I find myself going back to the highlights I made in the book and cackling all over again as I remember the scenes.

It was also insanely hot and I need to figure out how to get my husband on board with me finding my own personal Abi! I could feel Abi’s raw love, passion and desire for Tatum from start to finish. How did he make an offer to murder someone for Tatum sound romantic??? Ugh I’ve never been so jealous of a fictional character.

I cannot wait for the next book in the series! Honestly hope this series never fucking ends

Loving this series! Tatum and Abi were amazing together. The love that Abi has for Tatum was beautiful. Would have liked more spice. With them mentioning Abi’s 12” dick, I would have like more than 1 sex scene. I’m so excited for the next book. Kind of hoping we see some age play in it.

Bonkers in the best way.

Every single character is unhinged and the dialogue had me in stitches with laughter. I don't even know how to begin reviewing a book like this but each addition in this series is like a shot of pure happiness straight into my veins. I can't help but devour each page and want to reread multiple times.

Tatum and Abi have an unusual dynamic and add in the content from Brody, Scotty, and Fee (aka Murder Mommy) and the tongue in cheek comments that break the fourth wall - this is just a rollercoaster of a book. Action packed. Spicy. Absolutely hilarious. Tatum is full of hateful love. "Hope you cry, hope you die." and I adored him. I'm really curious to see how the next book plays out with the Bens.

Kiss, Kill, Thrill Me, Daddy kicks off with a prologue that sets the chaotic tone perfectly: Abi and Tatum’s first meeting. Tatum’s sporting his iconic ‘uniform’: “Hot-pink crop top. Magenta jockstrap. A knowing smirk meant for me and me alone.” Really, Abi? He doesn’t even know you yet, but okay…

Tatum is adorably fragile when it comes to emotions, and Abi? Well, he’s head-over-heels from the start, over-the-top in his devotion. They might seem well-adjusted next to Scotty and Brody, but don’t be fooled—they’re just as unhinged in their own special way. Case in point: the (w)hole finger-warming thing. It starts off hilarious, but somehow, it grows on you. Sweet? No, that’s not the word. But it works for them.

Abi and Tatum are an oddly perfect match, each bringing their own brand of vulnerability. Abi, shaped by parental loss, and Tatum, haunted by his past with Benito and the heartbreak of losing the Bens and Austin.

In any other situation, Tatum’s hot-and-cold routine with Abi would drive me up the wall. Push, pull, push again. But considering his messy relationship history? It all just... makes sense and makes him a sympathetic character.

Let me just say this: Benito? I hate him! Top of Fee’s hit list, thank you! And how adorable is it that Tatum convinces himself it’s just a “hate list” and not an actual hit list? Um, Tatum, sweetie, you do know those three are contract killers, right? So delightfully delulu.

It wouldn’t be a murder daddy book without Brody threatening some poor inanimate object or serving up a fresh dose of unhinged Scotty and Brody antics—and, oh boy, does it deliver.
Scotty and Brody are a special breed of unhinged that makes Abi and Tatum look, dare I say, almost normal. And yet, they’re not at all normal.

These MCs? I was thinking how they’re peak unreliable narrators, right before reading this: “Abi also claims later that night, he woke up with me trying to sit on his cock, and I know that’s a fucking lie, so he’s hardly a reliable narrator.” And let’s not even start on Scotty and Tatum’s friendship, which is both disturbing and yet somehow endearing. There’s no way I’d forgive the shit they put each other through. But biffles forever, apparently.

Again, bonus points for the cheeky meta references to the next book. Loved every moment of this wild ride.

Side note: Tatum’s parents? Completely unbothered by everything. They’re a welcome introduction and I can’t wait to read more about them. I’m so excited for the Bens’ story, they really deserve their HEA.

Kiss, Kill, Thrill me Daddy
Lance Lansdale
A decent instalment at 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
There's quite a few CW at the beginning, but this one felt relevant: "As with book one, suspension of disbelief in this crazy, ridiculous world I've created is an absolute must".
Oh yes, book one featuring Scotty and Brody with a hint of Abi and Tatum was absolutely bat**** crazy but tonnes of fun.
You will definitely get more from this book if you've read book one and understand Scotty a bit.
This book starts part way through book one.
Abi Kincaid and Fee (Brody's wife) are searching for Brody and Scotty and find Tatum along the way. Abi's found family in hiding includes Brody’s dachshund, Daisy, Fiona and the missing Brody; he's starting to wonder if Brody was the glue holding he and Fee together.
Until Tatum - the delicious twink BFF of Scotty.
Tatum even followed Scotty to conversion camp just to keep him safe when they were younger.

"Who could ever love someone like me?"
Despite his outward sass, Tatum has serious self esteem issues, a lot of it from the insertion of Benito who pushed him out from his own polycule.
There are moments of poetry within the murder, the kink and the erratic twins. This may be about bullets, but the imagery is beautiful: "Bullets line the ceiling, sending light fractals shimmering in like a tapestry of stars."
Lansdale is definitely growing as a writer, though structure wise and proofreading there are some errors.
There are some decidedly dark and out there moments; the giant cake scene, the 'hospital' near the end, and Brody's affectionate slurs for Scotty might be a bit much for some readers, but this is basically guano crazy.
There are hooks that hint at where the next books might go and it's kind of like if Austin Powers was queer and kinky, but it's also a lot of fun. There are definitely snort worthy moments.

4.5 stars
This story was hilarious, funny, deranged and ridiculously unbelievable, but I had so much fun reading it.

Tatum and Abi's story began in the first book, when Abi tried to interrogate Tatum to see if he had informations on Scotty and Brody's whereabouts.
Now we know that Abi has been online stalking Tatum for a while, to get to know him and his habits but, as a result, he's completely fell under the twink's charme. And Tatum, although kicking and screaming and complaining about being kidnapped, followed him where Scotty and Brody lived.

Besides all the humor and all the inconceivable situations the two of them have to face, deep down more serious topics start to arise: Abi's pain about the death of his mother, his loneliness, his crave for someone to love; Tatum's trauma after the psychological abuse one of his boyfriend inflicted him, isolating him from the others and stealing his confidence and his self worth.
There were some parts that really make me sad for Abi but, at the same time, I understood Tatum's conflicted feelings.

What prevented me from giving five full stars:
The story was a little too long and sometimes I struggled to keep my focus.
I didn't like the last scene (but I'm not going to comment to avoid leaving spoilers).

I'm not going to comment about Scotty because in this story he's completely bananas and nothing he does make any kind of sense. Brody is murderous and treathening as ever, but I loved how he took care of Tatum when he needed it. I actually like Fiona better than the first book, I'm happy she found her person.

Next book will be about the Bens, Bennet and Benji: now, I know that a certain person said he wasn't interested in them, but I'd love for the author to surprise us and let the Bens fall in love with that Daddy.

Very recommended.

In order to enjoy this story more and to not get lost in all the mayhem, better read the previous book first.

I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest review.
