We all need an escape sometimes, so let my mountain men sweep you away for a while. My type of man is big, bearded, brave, and obsessed with the woman he loves. He worships her, protects her, and is consumed by desire.

The mountains are calling...

Saved by the Grumpy Mountain Man is part of the Curvy Queens for Hunky Heroes series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, opposites-attract, grumpy-sunshine, curvy girl gets her mountain man romance. Leigh is a 29 year old curvy baker who is working to open her own bakery. Forest is a hunky, grumpy, 49 year old mechanic. His car repair shop is across from her would-be bakery. He can't keep his eyes off of Leigh ever since she arrived. He watches her through the window. She finally gets up her nerve to take coffee to him. He offers to fix her car, which leads to helping get the dilapidated bakery ready to open in a month. These two were so sweet together. The chemistry was so hot and the ending was very happy. I loved it!!!.

Saved by the Grumpy Mountain Man by Raven Moon is part of the Curvy Queens for Hunky Heroes Series.

Leigh has recently moved to the mountains to fulfill her dream of starting a bakery. However, because she has rushed this dream by several years and before she was financially ready, the property she chose needs a lot of work. She has also noticed the mechanic from across the street, constantly staring at her. When she finally gets the nerve to go over and meet him, she is shocked when he offers to help with the lengthy list of repairs her store requires in order to open. Then, when she realizes he not only cares for her but is also the first one to support her dreams, she can't believe it. Her nosy, stalkerish neighbor may be everything she ever wanted.

Like all books by this author, this is a sweet quick read. You do not need to read the previous books to enjoy this one. Although this one seemed to move a tad bit slow for me, the plot was good, and the chemistry between this couple was great.

ARC was provided by Booksprout, and this is my honest review.

You might think Forest is a bit of a stalker, lurking in the door of his auto shop as he watches Leigh hustle to get her bakery ready for opening day. Her to-do list grows longer by the minute, and the stress begins to pile on, pushing her to seek a distraction and what better way than to meet her neighbors—starting with the brooding man across the street. Forest embodies the term "strong and silent" in every way. When Leigh brings him a cup of coffee as a neighborly gesture, she does most of the talking, but there's an undeniable attraction simmering beneath the surface. What I loved most was how Forest's natural instinct to help Leigh shines through—whether it’s fixing her car or lending a hand with whatever needs fixing at her bakery. Without making a fuss, he becomes her quiet hero, and his unspoken kindness doesn’t go unnoticed. As Leigh starts to spend more time with Forest, she’s drawn to his rugged charm and quiet strength, while Forest, in turn, can’t seem to take his eyes off her. She’s a vision in her sexy dresses and heels, "a pin-up girl bursting at the seams." Soon enough, Forest is spending more time at her bakery than in his own auto shop, and their connection deepens in ways neither of them ever expected. She realizes that maybe, just maybe, she doesn’t have to shoulder everything alone anymore. “How am I supposed to handle all of this shit when you’re around looking like that and being so God damned handsome and charming all the time?” Leigh’s question pretty much sums it all up, doesn’t it? The chemistry between these two is undeniable, and you can just feel where this slow burn is heading.

Leigh (h) moves to a small mountain town to turn her dream of opening a bakery into a reality, even if it means taking on more than she bargained for. The rundown shop and a long list of problems quickly overwhelmed her as a new business owner. Just when she thinks she’s in over her head, gruff and reserved mechanic Forest (H) steps in to lend a hand. Forest doesn’t talk much, but his actions speak volumes. As he helps Leigh fix up her shop—and her old station wagon—the two form an unexpected connection. Leigh finds herself drawn to the quiet strength behind Forest’s rough exterior, while Forest is captivated by her determination and charm. As they work together to get her bakery ready for its grand opening, their attraction grows into something more and things heat up between the two. But challenges threaten Leigh's dream, and she struggles to balance the bakery and a relationship with Forest. Hot and steamy instalove, age gap, curvy girl, mountain man, small town romance, exploring love, connection, determination, and supporting those we care for.

4.5 Sexy Age Gap Stars!!

This is an age gap romance with a pretty significant gap—twenty years to be exact—but I loved it, it was so sweet!

Leigh was new in town and hoping to open a new bakery but the place was in much worse shape than she had imagined and, with only a month until opening day, to say she was stressed was an understatement. The man staring at her from the garage across the street wasn’t really helping either.

A self professed jerk, Forest has no idea how to talk to the beauty across the street. Even when she walked over with a cup of coffee for him and to introduce herself, he still wasn’t sure what to say. Not that it mattered overmuch…Leigh was immediately attracted to the bearded silver fox and did quite a bit of stammering and stuttering herself.

I’m a huge fan of age gap romance and this one was super sexy. If that’s one of your weaknesses too, snap it up, you’ll be glad you did! 4.5 stars!.

Oh boy is the a hot, intense, fun read of Curvy Queens for Hunky Heroes series.

Forest has been known as being a good man, but quite the grump. He sorta known for his grump and grunts. That all changes when the beautiful baker moves in across the street. Now he'd turn into sunshine is it meant he's get more time with Leigh.

I love the intense connection these two have. It might come a little studded at first, you see these two jump into the deep end with their feelings. Forest doesn't mince words, and is willing to redo the entire shop if it would make Leigh happy.

Its got a strong funny story line. I enjoyed watching his friends giving Forest a good ribbing. I love how Leigh is determined to make it work, and is so humbled by the help Forest offered.

Their connection is real, very heavy like a firework, and an amazing HEA!.

This outstandingly talented author just adds the sizzle and more to this exciting ebook. Leigh moves to a small mountain town to achieve her dream of owning her own bakery. She notices a good looking mountain man, Forest, staring at her from across the street with a frown on his face. When Leigh and Forest meet, theres so much electricity in the air you can just hear the crackle. Will Forest and Leigh become a perfect fit for one another or will Forest grumpy attitude keep Leigh away? Can Leigh accept Forest's help or does she want to keep her independence and do it herself? This author's 5⭐️ ebook will have you believing there's hope for everyone and dreams coming true. So if it's passion, dreams, and hope that get your attention, then this ebook is definitely one that you won't want to miss.

Leigh is struggling under an ever growing list of things that need doing before she can open her bakery. The only thing that takes her mind off of her troubles is the mountain of a man that stares a hole in her front window every day. It only takes one cup of coffee to break his reserve.

Forest is a grumpy individual and he knows it but one look at the curvy baker in the shop opposite his garage and he's hooked. Now he just has to get up the courage to talk to her.

A sweet grumpy sunshine mountain man romance full of hot passion. A new to me author with a deft touch, likeable characters and enough depth for a quick read.

These two just bring everything you want in a love story.. the connection and the fire. Forest is a grump and but a good. That all changes when the beautiful baker moves in across the street. Now he sees sunshine when he sees Leigh.

At first, it was a little weird for them but they both jumped fright in with their feelings. Forest doesn't mince words and is willing to redo the entire shop if it would make Leigh happy. She is a little head strong but at the end she knew he was there for her, and he would do anything for her. He believed in her and it was more than any of her family and friends did for her. I enjoyed watching his friends giving Forest a good ribbing. A great story!.

Saved by the Grumpy Mountain Man
This one has a special something that makes it stand out. If I could define it, I would, but all I can say is WYKYK. Forest is super hot and the whole grumpy thing hides a good heart that he’s willing to share with Leigh. They have a spark that makes the story a joy to read. It’s not perfect; there is a moment so corny it’s cringe and another cringe moment when he’s thinking about his… size. But it’s a delightful story between a grumpy auto mechanic and a sunshiny baker.

The Boulder and the Rose

Forest Willows has no intention of letting anything squelch the optimism of the sweet curvy baker, Leigh Crane, from opening her shop. This is my first read by this author and she has a ringing endorsement from me. This witty, humorous, delightfully steamy short story will savor the heartiest appetites. It’s an age gap romance between an auto shop owner and a lush newcomer. He’s almost monosyllabic and she’s bold and chatty. He stares…she swoons. Too adorable and worthy of rereading. Easily a 5 star 🌟 short story.

Leigh has had a dream of owning her own bakery;so she has bought a former closed bakery in a small town. She is working hard to get it ready to pass the her fire and building inspections that are needed before opening. The mechanic across the street has been watching her. She learnt his name is Forest and he wants to help Leigh any way that he can. Repairs to the bakery, fixing her car, and telling people about her upcoming opening are his ways. Leigh and Forest seem to be attracted to each other. Will it continue in the future? Do they want a future together?.

I loved this book from the first page to the last. Leigh has moved to Pine Whistle to follow her dream of owning her bakery. Forest has the mechanic shop across the road from Leigh's bakery location. Every day, Forest watches Leigh work on the rundown shop she is trying so hard to turn into what she has dreamed of for so long. I adore these two characters: Forest, the big, gruff, bearded dude, and Leigh, the bouncing ray of happy sunshine. Then toss in all the chemistry and spice, and you have a book you can't put down! I love this book! I will be saving it in the re-read file!

This book is part of a series called Curvy Queens for Hunky Heroes series. Tropes: mountain man, grumpy/ sunshine, curvy FMC, and age gap ( 20 years). Leigh is trying to open a bakery in a small mountain town unfortunately there is a lot of stuff that needs fixed. Forrest owns the car shop across the street and can't keep his eyes off his new curvy neighbor. I liked how Forrest was grumpy with everyone but Leigh. Such a sweet story.

small town romance.
Leigh is a courageous and ambitious young woman. She has just bought a small shop to transform it into a bakery, she did not expect to have so much work.
Forest is a mechanic he sees Leigh moving in on the other side of the street it is love at first sight. He does not know how to show his feelings because he is a cold and distant man. He then offers her help with the restoration.
Will Leigh understand the message and will she share these feelings….

It’s a very cute and cozy read. It’s grumpy x sunshine, on of my favorites, at its best. She brings sunshine, even in her misery and he is infatuated. Their chemistry is super hot and I absolutely loved how the story evolved. An epilogue would have been nice, a little look in their future with a possible cameo of previous characters, but that’s just a minor thing I love in books and doesn’t make this story any less worth of reading.

This was a DELICIOUSLY DELIGHTFUL book. I enjoyed every part of this story. It had the perfect combination of humor, steaminess, heat (and I don’t mean just in the baking ovens.), and sweet grumpiness.
I adore the mountain men, and Forest is my new favorite.
When you have an hour and want to reset your mind from stress to PERFECT RELAXATION, read this book. It is the perfect “treat” to satisfy your craving.

This was a gem

There are so many Mountain man stories out there, but this couple caught my attention right away. His grumpy ,gruff exterior was a big cover for a kind and giving heart. The fact that he was big muscular, and hot was all bonus . Leigh was a ray of blinding sunshine, that he couldn't stop staring at, so when she decides to introduce herself, it's the beginning of a beautiful thing. Read this book to ALL the FEELS . Wonderful story. I loved this one and I read a Lot!

Saved by the Grumpy Mountain Man: A Steamy Curvy Girl Instalove Age Gap Romance is a Stand-Alone book in the Curvy Queens for Hunky Heroes series by Raven Moon. This is a great super short (I read it in under an hour) lunch break sized book, so I’m not going to give you any spoilers it wouldn’t be fair. However I highly recommend reading it definitely NSFW, but you probably guessed that already.

I enjoyed the story immensely, especially we need to bring to light the insecurities that curvy people such as myself have. The grumpy mechanic from across the street turns out to be one of the best written characters I’ve read recently.and not to mention hotter than my frying pan. I will probably reread this a couple times more since I was so excited to reach the end. I sort of did some speed reading.loved it!

Leigh & Forest

Leigh bought an old run down building to run a Bakery, Everything is broke and needs fixed to pass her inspection, even her car. The gorgeous man across the road stares at her all the time. He fixes her car
after she brings him Expresso. Is it possible they could fall in Love with an age gap.

I was really looking forward to this because they both had normal jobs and he wasn’t a recluse on a mountain. However this one sucked. She was a complete jerk when he tried to help, then he left her fur like an hour then walked over and they had sex? She didn’t deserve him and I stoped reading at like 55%. Not a fan.
