The book itself was great but toward end of the book the author did some typos and mix ups in the writing. At one point its written “ If Scout and Raven had heard any of this, they would have come. But there was no sign of them. Scout and Preston were going to die.” But it was supposed to be Chelsey and Raven that were following. Then at the end when the culprit is revealed Scout calls Chelsey and says “Coach Jona Reid” but it is Coach Jona Klein and the other coach is Coach Reid so they mixer up the names. Which with it being the turning point into the Falling Action its a little irritating that things were messed up. But otherwise than that the book was great and has lots a mystery and action.

I loved this series it's not dark like Logan and Scarlett series, Thomas Shepherd series and Darkwater Cove series. Hit and Run you get suspense, college drama and growing pains. I like how Dan Padavona is incorporating Scout growing up, dealing with college classes, dealing with her feelings along with solving mysteries. I like how Dan Padavona brings friends from home to help Scout. In my opinion Hit and Run is a great continuation of the series.
The Scout Mourning Amateur Sleuth Mystery series by the great Dan Padavona reaches Book 3 with Hit And Run, the central event which results in a return to high school for Scout. Clashing personalities, mixed emotions and a ride into danger overshadow a major football season finale and bring danger in their wake Read Hit And Run today and tell all your friends not to miss this unputdownable mystery-thriller!
This was another fantastic addition to the series. I guess that I spoke too soon in my last review ~ cause this book was exactly what I was afraid this series would be like! Lol! Luckily, it was just the one story. However, it was still a terrific story. It is very sad that schools have become so extreme and violent, and seem to be getting worse every year. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.
Ok, that was a close one for Scout! I have to think it was hard on her Preston, Brody and LeVar. I thought it was someone else who did the hit and run. She pulled everything off with class and confidence.
Nancy Drew Meets 21 Jump Street & Friday Night Lights
16 year old Scout goes undercover as a high school student to find out who ran down Kane Grove High's star QB a week before their biggest game of the season. Quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
A different kind of investigation but I enjoyed it.
Talk about mean girls in high school! In the 60's , when I went to high school, I don't remember any bullying going on. It is so sad that there's so much if it today. Anyway, You will enjoy this book by Don Padavona..
