Took me less than 3 days to finish the whole novel. And by the end of the last page I’ve finished a whole box of tissues. I can’t stop my tears from flowing like waterfall while I read the last few chapters, I can’t even breathe from all that crying.
The story started off slowpaced, with hints of angst and pain. As the story gradually unveils between the kieng and ket, I found myself enjoying their dynamics. One person wishes to forget the past and move on, while the other returns to resume where they left off two years ago.
With the help of people around them, kieng and ket finally had what they missed when they broke up, but fate is really playing games with them. I already knew something was definitely wrong when khet showed symtoms, but I didn’t expect it to be this bad. I didn’t even expect this ending when I started the novel.
The novel was such a tearjerker. I look forward how they’d adapt this to a series. I think the current casts, pie and golf, would portray khet and kieng perfectly. If done right, the series adaptation could be phenomenal.
