Nothing’s what it seems.
Escape is just another broken dream.

In a city where vice and corruption reign, my life has become a nightmare.
With no one to turn to, I'm left with only one option—the man I should avoid at all costs.

Mateo Escuro.

The infamous crime lord who controls this city and everything in it, is now my only hope.

He promises to help me, but his terms aren’t I must become his wife—in every sense of the word.

He is ruthless, unpredictable, and dangerously possessive.

As our twisted relationship intensifies, secrets from my past start to unravel, and I realize just how deeply Mateo is entangled in my family’s history. To survive this, I’ll have to surrender to him completely.

But in a world built on lies and deceit, surrendering to him might mean more than losing myself—it could cost me everything.

PLEASE NOTE
Queen of Vice is the first book in a duet, replacing the Old Money Trilogy. This is not a new release, but an updated version of Queen of Diamonds with significant changes and a full rewrite. Queen of Vice is a dark romance featuring a morally black mmc. This story isn't for the faint of heart. Reader discretion is highly advised. A CW can be located in the back of the book.

-Queen of Vice is the first book in a duet that replaces the Old Money Trilogy. This isn't a brand-new release but a completely reimagined version of Queen of Diamonds, featuring significant changes and an extensive rewrite.
For those who loved the original, get ready for new twists you won't see coming. For new readers, welcome to a world of vice, power, and corruption.-

As someone that’s read the OG storyline and now the new one, it’s still a 5⭐️ twisted tale for me.
Elena looses her aunt and sister they the beginning of the story but she’s well aware her sisters casket is empty. Her sister is still out there and games are being played …

The head of a criminal empire, Mateo Escuro is obsessed with Elena and he’s about to make it very known.
He’s a villian. A true villian. With zero empathy or morals, he’ll go to every length imaginable to submit and subdue Elena exactly where he wants her.
Wife her up he says…
I’ll bring you the hands of any man that touches you .. and so he does…

“To get what I wanted I had to marry him, live with him, play this sick game.”

Mateo claims to know where Elena’s sister is…. How far will Elena submit to find her sister? How can she trust this man that’s placed a ring on her finger and doesn’t take no for an answer?

It’s a twisted tale of fuckery and I’m still obsessed as I was reading the OG storyline!

This is a revamp of The Old Money Trilogy with one helluva twist! I am loving this twisted tale it has Natalie B’s writing style stamped all over it it’s darker more wild and intoxicating Mateo is the definition of a Villain he is definitely cray cray for our girl Elena and bless her naivety she is definitely going to have to learn to toughen up although I think her submissive personality calls to the dominant in Mateo this book was super hot with sex scenes that are on fire and a plot that will keep you interested and turning page after page ! Can’t wait for the next book already!

Wholy Moly. I know I read this old version and I knew this is a revamp but it really has gotten so much better and it seems like a totally new story to me all the way. There are a few things that ring a bell but it really seems brand new to me. I love it ! Maybe I don't remember the old series well. I'm gonna do a reread of the entire trilogy after this. Lol Elena is a twin and is not above sacrificing herself to find her missing twin! Mateo is a monster who wants to devour Elena entirely and control her every breath. Mateo is on some 'even in H E double hockey sticks we will not part'. Lol There is a plot and secrets and then more secrets and smex and then more secrets and then more smex. How can it be all plot and all smex at the same time.? Natalie has accomplished this. It is full on DARK ROMANCE and supreme dominant spicy. Forced ahhs and oooohhhs.. I wonder if this review will be approved. Mateo is the villain of villains and I think I would not be mad if he had a tragic accident. Lol Nat is the Queen of DARK through and through. Love love love.🖤 🖤 🖤 I LOVE being on her street teams!!!!

Ill be continuing the series eventually when it comes out to see how our FMC acts out against Mateo.

I thought this book was going to be a kick ass Queen book but its not. It was a FMC going to the King of the underworld Mateo for help finding her sister. He has his own agenda for helping of course and during the WHOLE book doesn't really help her. They get married to please both parties as a condition for the help. Mateo is seen harming people over drug shortages and whenever he is with the FMC he puts her in her place sexually treating her like shit as he dominates her. And the after comments are like TAKE THAT HA. Its very lame. Im hoping since the ass end of the book finally uncovered something about the FMC's sister she gets the hate she has and anger toward her family and Mateo and ATTACKS, since all shes done is eww i dont like it, please more. AGAIN LAME.

This book was amazing! I absolutely loved this book. Elena is a naive girl who was sheltered from the life of crime by her parents. They once were in power but don’t have much sway anymore. Then tragedy strikes and she’s has to go back to the city. Now trying to find her sister she has a couple encounters with Mateo and little does she know the plans she has in store for her. I loved the character build up with each character and we get a glimpse of just how ruthless Mateo really is. He truly is the villain. I am anxiously awaiting for book two to see where the story goes. I need book two like now. Natalie I can never get enough of your twisted mind. Please don’t ever stop writing.

Queen of Vice
by Natalie Bennett
I didnt read the original Old Money Empire trilogy (I know, sad face) so I had no idea what the story was about or the rewrites that happened.

Elena comes home to an unexpected tragedy. Determined to get the truth, she entrusts 2 friends to help her find out what actually happened that night.
Enter Mateo, who comes in and scares everyone around him. Brutal, lethal and takes no issue in seeing things through himself.

The ending of the 1st book had me like ... what the actual f.... I hope book two unleashes some feminine rage.

Queen of Vice is book one in the duet. Elena's life has become a nightmare and the one person who says he will help her is one she should avoid - Mateo Escuro, the infamous crime lord who controls the city. Mateo says he will help her if she becomes his wife in every sense of the word.
Mateo was ruthless, brutal protective and so possessive of Elena. Elena is the opposite - sheltered, a little naive and kind of sweet. They were pretty explosive together. I can't wait for book two.

I love me a mafia romance especially with a dark and twisted male lead! Mateo leaves you frustrated in his arrogance. He will definitely leave you wanting more. The story line is good mafia princess back after a tragedy only to be in the crosshairs of the biggest leader of all the influential families. Elana will do anything to find answers to what plagues her. Will that include making deals with the devil?

Now this is a twisted read, that leaves me with more questions than answers at the end of this part. Elena is thrown back into a life she did not want to be in, Mateo has set his sights on her and there is no way he's letting her go. Her search for answers and her sister has gotten her into something she has no clue how to navigate. Can't wait for the next part of this read.

The description doesn’t match the book. It made it look like the FMC reached out to- but in reality everything was forced. Brutally.
It’s not romantic and anyone who says Mateo is BF/Husband material is lying - he’s anything but that. He treats the FMC like shit. Suppressing her. Being sadistic towards her. Won’t be continuing this series
