Meant To Be: Indian Billionaire Marriage of Convenience Second Chance Romance

Rate this book
‘My father’s sixtieth birthday arrived, and I knew my life would never be the same!’

Kanika Goyal, a strong and sheltered girl, found herself in the darkest pit imaginable—father arrested for his shady business, hit with harsh judgements, dumped by her fiance over a text! Lost, distraught, and broken, she reached a point where starting afresh seemed like the only way forward. However, just when she believed she had everything under control, life threw her a curveball that made her question her very own existence. The only option presented to her was to marry him. Him? Never! Naa! She would rather skydive without a parachute than marry that slimeball.

‘I had been so blinded by my own insecurities that I failed to see the innocence behind her tears!’

Abhishek Sharma, the big shot who juggled being the COO of Singhania Enterprises and the CEO of Sharma Industries, was still haunted by his broken past. Trusting girls? That was a hard pass for him. She was a constant reminder of his heartbreak—an opportunist, a gold-digger, an attention seeker, until he finally realised he was letting his past cloud his judgement about her. All he needed was a simple ‘I’m sorry’ to clear the air.

But fate had other plans! That little apology spiralled into a twist that left him with no option but to marry her.

Marry her? Excuse me?! What?

What was meant to be a simple apology turned into contractual marriage! Destiny had made its presence known. It threw together two lost souls with shattered dreams, with a snap of its fingers.

Who knows?

Maybe their fates were intertwined long ago!

'Meant To Be' is the second book in the Intertwined Series and can be read as a standalone book.

Brother's best friend, He falls harder, Desi romance, Contract marriage, Billionaire, Grovel Romance, Hate To Love.

This book gave me a headache. It was unnecessarily long and it reminded me of Indian TV shows with unnecessary twists and turns.

first 50% of the book, they don’t even have a good moment together. It’s all the ‘present’ and the ‘.. month ago’, back and forth and it gets hard to keep up with present and part.

I didn’t even like the MCs, there were the hero and heroine but there were multiple povs in this book which included hero’s mother, heroine’s bestie and cousin. I didn’t like any of them.

Abhishek and Kanika’s relationship was nonexistent. I mean it’s their love story right.. Show some special moments of them together, some emotional moments, some deep conversations, some deep connection. There was nothing.

First 50% of the book, they are fighting constantly. They hate each other. At this point they’ve known each other for over a year or two and married for almost a year. And ask me how many days they’ve spent together… Just 2 days… literally 2. And the in the last 50%, she gets sick and he takes care of her and stuff but again ask how many days they spend together doing couple-y stuff.. just 2. So a total of 4 days. They spent only 4 days together, alone, in the entirety of their relationship. As for the rest of time, there were unnecessary twists, unnecessary drama.

I don’t have any thoughts about the MMC because honestly he wasn’t that special but FMC was dumb and she liked playing a victim. In the first 50% where they were just fighting and hating each other, she broke down and said something like - she’s tired of doing all the things in their relationship and making all the efforts & stuff… I was like what relationship? what efforts?? They only spent 2 days after getting married together, then he basically ghosted her and she didn’t try to find him or talk to him at all. She just accepted it. Even when she returned to his life after 6-7 months, she didn’t make any special efforts, she just tried to avoid him. She didn’t make any efforts and then she’s like she’s tired ?!
There’s this scene where her biological mother gives her some options to choose from to save her husband’s life. One of the option was to sleep with her ex and show that video to her husband and bla bla. She didn’t want to have sex with him and he was literally forcing himself on her. At one point her biological mother told her ex to do anything as he pleases with her. Her biological mother basically gave a green light to ‘Grape’ her. Later on when she confronted her biological mother, Kanika said she was thankful of being given the choice ??? that she knows her biological mother had emotions deep down ?? Make that make sense!!!! are you dumb ??

I’m not even gonna talk about the other unnecessary dramas in this book. It’s 500 pages, but it could’ve been a 300 page book and would’ve been a lot better.

Kanika and Abhishek's Emotional Collision

In this captivating tale of love, Kanika and Abhishek, two strong-willed individuals embark on a deeply emotional journey that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. Kanika, a fiercely independent woman dealing with waves of emotional upheaval, finds herself falling for Abhishek. But while Kanika opens herself up to the possibilities of love, Abhishek is wary, suspecting it may be a trap.

The dynamic between these two characters is magnetic. Kanika’s strength and vulnerability draw readers in, making her journey relatable and compelling. On the other hand, Abhishek’s guarded demeanor adds tension, creating a push-and-pull that leaves readers yearning to see what happens when two strong personalities collide. The chemistry between them is undeniable, with each moment of closeness filled with a heady mix of passion and uncertainty.

This is more than just a love story—it's a raw, emotional exploration of what happens when two people, hardened by life’s experiences, dare to open up to each other. The sizzling connection between them keeps the stakes high, making this journey of emotions both unpredictable and deeply moving.

A must-read for those who enjoy powerful characters, intense emotional exchanges, and the thrill of watching two people come together in unexpected, fiery ways.

'It might take years or it might take a day, but what’s meant to be will always find its way.'

This quote perfectly sums up this intricate tale of love, destiny and redemption.

Kanika’s world is shattered when her father is arrested, and she and her Maa are overnight treated as pariahs. At her brother Rishabh’s insistence, they plan to move to Mumbai, only to face Abhishek, Rishabh’s best friend, who assumes Kanika is a spoiled princess out to exploit her brother’s wealth. He spars with her in a heated exchange of words, venting out his dislike with venom, driving her to flee from her own brother and vows to carve a path on her own. As months pass, and there’s still no trace of Kanika, guilt seeps in and he decides to find her and apologise. Does he find her? And what happens when Destiny plays its own little game and the apology turns into a proposal?

This roller coaster romance isn’t just about love—it’s about second chances and the tug-of-war between pride and vulnerability. The chemistry between them crackles with tension and passion, and their love-hate banter is laced with underlying attraction. Arrogant, Adamant, Adonis Abhishek (Kanika’s words) is in no way perfect. True to his nicknames, he’s cocky and a perfectionist, with a sense of humour. Quick to anger and judge, he hurt Kanika so much, making me so mad at him. But on learning the truth, his about-turn from arrogant and suspicious to tender to devoted is absolutely swoon-worthy.

Kanika is a delight, resilient and badass with her kickass karate moves, she deals with blow after blow life throws her way, but rises back like the queen she is. Their slow-burn romance is peppered with thrilling twists and flashbacks, and keeps you hooked till the end.

All the side characters, Rishabh, Nishi, the mothers, Samar, Aarav (a cutie) add depth and fun to the story. They are sneaky and cute, and you’re sure to love them. Also, the quotes at the start of each chapter are bang-on. A layered tale of romance and thrill, this one is unputdownable.

Meant to be is a captivating novel that tells the story of Abhishek, an arrogant yet caring individual, and Kanika, a tough but simple girl. It is a compelling love story that will keep you hooked from beginning to end. love story is a common trope, but what sets a book apart from others is the unique storyline that intertwines the characters. Each character in this book plays a crutial role. I absolutely loved how the author skillfully develops each character while maintaining a captivating storyline. This book encompasses a wide range of emotions and relationships, including friendship, family bonding, hatred, and of course, love.

When two individuals make an effort to maintain distance from each other, what is the force that ultimately brings them together?aha, You'll have to read it to find out. It's quite intriguing, isn't it? This story is absolutely captivating, filled with suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The intense drama will leave you breathless, and the love story is truly heartwarming. Once you start reading, it's impossible to put the book down until you reach the end. kudos to the author.

Such a beautifully written emotional story and full of so many twists and turns that I couldn't stop reading it. 😍😍
The premise was very fresh and in typical Desi romance fashion, this book came with so much drama and I was here for it. 🤌🤭
I absolutely adored Kanika and just wanna give a big hug to her and Abhishek deserves all the little smacking he gets 😅 But those two are so made for each other! From the first page of their banter to the insults and separation and then the reunion and yearning, I was rooting for them so much!!
Big fan of the side characters and the meddlesome family! Also, I didn't expect so many twists in the story which just made it so much more interesting!
The romance was so cute and the angst had me screaming but such a sweet and beautifully written book!

4.5 ⭐

OMG So much angst and tension. I loved reading this book so much.

Tropes: Brother’s best friend, marriage of convenience, workplace romance, slow burn, she fell first but he falls harder. Spice:🌶️🌶️

I didn’t know I would love reading this book so much.
Kanika & Abhishek’s moments are cute to read. Kanika’s becoming an Independent woman and working her way through is amazing to read. At First i kinda felt bad for her what life through at her and Abhishek’s behaviour towards her. But Slowly understood his past trauma.

I would have loved if there are moments of them together in the first 50% of the book. They hardly met not more than 2-3 times. And the last half is fully packed.

Overall I loved reading this. Perfect when craving a desi couple.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟A book that will take you on an emotional roller coaster right from page one & leave you reeling until way after you finish reading it!

Emotionally, this book will have you totally invested in it! You will be smiling, laughing, crying, feeling all the frustration & hurt & pain, & would want to scream & hurl things on the MCs for some decisions they make, & then would also be chanting "kiss, kiss, kiss" like maniacs when they get close all the same!

Also, I'm honestly intrigued with that epilogue! Can't wait to read Samar & Neera's story! & learn where Aarav stands in all this!

This book was the perfect desi romance I was craving to read. The marriage of convenience trope was so perfect in this one. I loved how this book actually represents their marriage in the Indian culture. I loved every minute of it.

This is one of the slowest I've read in terms of the couple coming together but honestly the pacing was perfect for me. I was enjoying the banter between Abhi & Kanika the whole time. The moment they kiss is beyond perfect and feels so on point to their connection and love.

This book is 560 pages but I feel like it's worth it. You won't feel bored for even a second.

Also the grovelling in this book, was so good. I mean, this is what you call grovelling. Abhishek really redeems himself and that made their connection so much stronger.

Kanika & Abhishek are literal soulmates. Like this a couple you know will never break up. Kanika's character was so sassy and perfect. She always kept Abhi on his toes. Also Abhishek flirting with Kanika is the best thing you'll read in this book. I mean I was blushing so much reading it!!!

A desi romance is never complete without some drama and we have that too which honestly made the book more fun to read.

The best thing was the author's writing. It was amazing and the way she's written Abhi and Kanika's intimate scenes are so good because it always make you feel like 'common just kiss!'.
The anticipation was worth it. I was giggling and smiling so much in the last 40% of the book.

Definitely recommend it if you're looking for an action-packed emotional roller coaster of a desi romance book.

"You might as well give up, sweet-heart. There's no chance in hell I'm letting you go. You're exactly where you belong in my arms," he teased, his eyes twinkling with mischief

I wasn’t ready.
550 pages flew like a fever dream, and I regret nothing.
It delivered—from angst to action, romance to rage.
Abhishek? A lovable, broody idiot you want to slap and hug.
Kanika? A powerhouse—smart, brave, headstrong, and everything I love in a heroine.
The misunderstandings trope, usually a red flag for me, was executed like art.
This book gave me arguments, tension, jealousy, slow-burn spice, and found-family feels.
The emotional grip was real.
I laughed, yelled, cried... then cried some more.
Neha’s writing is chaotic, cinematic, and SO addictive.
Every chapter hit like a wave—and I didn’t want to come up for air.
This isn’t just romance.
It’s heartbreak and healing wrapped in fire.
A full-course meal of drama, intensity, and longing.
I’m still reeling—and I’d reread it in a heartbeat.

This is the second book from the author and the series I am reading and even though I am still partial to Rishabh Singhania from the first book, this book does take you into a whole new level of roller coaster. While yes I admit that the book is all about a fresh new pair ( Abhishek and Kanika) I would still say that it is better to read the previous book to enjoy this book in its full capacity. Although if you want to risk it, you can still try reading it as a standalone because I feel what you need to know about this couple and their story is all well provided but knowing what happened in the previous book will sweeten the pot because the book starts in the aftermath of everything that happened in the previous book. Plus the characters from the previous books are all visiting in here so yeah...following the series will be a good idea.

I feel compared to the first book, Forever Yours, This book had way too many surprises. I loved those because, with every phase of the book, there was a secret being revealed or a sudden turn of events.

The last half of the book was one turn after another turn So much was happening at the end that I felt it was like watching three blockbusters at the price of one. It was exhilarating, pacy and above all kept the book engaging and adrenaline-filled. While I am personally inclined to pick the couple from the previous book, I would admit that this book had a more emotional intensity to it owing to the situations and heartbreaking pasts each of our lead characters had. So it isn't all candy-floss romance but more of a journey of mending broken hearts and picking up pieces to move ahead. So that is why this couple tugs at you differently. This was more of an emotional maturing of two characters who are suddenly put into circumstances and turn of events that were beyond their limits.

The fact that the book brought the characters from the last book in such a seamless way blew my mind. Usually in a series when some characters from previous books are brought in, it is done as a quick in and out but I was happy and surprised that the characters from the previous book had such a wide range to perform and were an integral part of the story. It sort of made the whole series even more intact and well-knit.

In conclusion, I would say that if you are looking for a nice little desi romance with some masala twists and plots, pick up this one and if you could pick up this after reading the first book, nothing like it, but to know the story of Abhishek and Kanika, I feel this book will be good in itself and the breadcrumbs in the book will kind of help you clue in what happened in the previous book a bit. But yes hold on for the end of the book because things escalate pretty quickly just when you think everything is sorted, dusted and ready to settle.

Let me just say this first, this book completely gripped me from the start and did not let go until the very last page. The premise itself is intriguing, but the way the story unfolds makes it impossible to put the book down.
Kanika Goyal is a strong woman whose life suddenly falls apart when her father is arrested, she is judged by society, and her engagement breaks. With no real choices left, she is pushed toward a decision she never wanted.
Abhishek Sharma, the town’s most eligible bachelor and a powerful COO, carries the weight of a broken past that makes trust difficult for him. Circumstances force these two into a contract marriage neither of them believes in.
What truly makes Meant to Be stand out is how layered the story is. This is not just a romance. With secrets, investigations, and unexpected revelations, the book often feels like a crime thriller running parallel to a love story. Every few chapters, something shocking comes up, and trust me, your jaw will drop more than once. Just when you think you have figured things out, the story takes another turn.
The storytelling is fast paced and extremely engaging. There is never a dull moment. Each chapter ends in a way that makes you want to immediately start the next one. Emotionally, this book puts you through everything. One moment you feel heavy and heartbroken, the next you are shocked, holding your breath, and then suddenly you are smiling and blushing like an idiot, kicking your feet in the air 🫣💖
The author has done a great job balancing suspense and romance. Even when the plot dives deep into darker elements, the chemistry between Kanika and Abhishek never fades into the background. Their bond grows beautifully through tension, misunderstandings, passion, and emotional vulnerability. Their possessiveness and intensity honestly set my Kindle screen on fire 🔥
Another thing I loved was the inclusion of a few POVs apart from the main leads. They add depth, clarity, and make the narrative smoother and more impactful.
Overall, Meant to Be is gripping, emotional, intense, and addictive. If you enjoy romance with suspense, twists, strong emotions, and powerful chemistry, this book is a must read. Skipping it would honestly mean missing out on something truly exciting.

Some things that are meant to be will happen no matter what you or anyone in this world tries to do to obstruct it. This is what I learnt from this book. If you lost faith in this world due to any reason you will establish it again.
There are many problems in our life that we need an easy solution to but sometimes god also wants us to go through all the problems in order to reach the place we deserve or we can say we need to go to find peace. Sometimes, that peace is a person or place but we need to go through every problem to reach that peace.
This is the story of Kanika who just lost her father who was a very grotesque criminal who was sent to jail by her cousin and his best-friend. She or her mother never knew the real face of her father and always believed him to be the good person. She was broken due to this and wanted to start a new life without the support of any person not even her cousin. She leaves everything behind and moves to Bangalore to find a good job and place to live with her mother.
Abhishek is Kanika’s brother’s best friend or more like his brother who helped him to send her father to jail. But the problem with him is hie trust issues especially with girls. He can’t accept the fact that Kanika didn’t know about her father. He believes she is just spoilt princess who will now leach off her cousin now that her father is no more in the picture. But Kanika’s sudden decision to leave everything and everyone behind makes him wonder if he was wrong in judging her but its too late to apologize and make amends.
These misunderstandings lead to many hurtful words and thinking on Abhishek’s behalf and which makes Kanika suffer a lot in her personal as well as professional level. The problems she has to go through after her father went to jail and there are truths about her own life that breaks her strong will at every point but she comes back stronger every time.
Read this story to find out if Abhishek is the person in Kanika’s life that will bring her peace after the chaos her father created or increase the problems for her.

Vibe: Desi Billionaire, Contract Marriage, Enemies to Lovers, Rollercoaster of Emotions

Do you love reading enemies to lovers, or contract marriage like me? Then Meant to be is absolutely going to steal your heart, the way it stole mine.

The story is about Kanika our FMC and Abhishek our MMC. They began with a huge like huge misunderstanding where he thinks she is a gold digger. And he hates her, like really hates her (he has his own reasons and a past).
After some events, they end up in a contract marriage that forces them to face their pasts.
Sometimes it felt like I am reading a romance thriller because there are so many plot twists going on, which kept me hooked from the first page.

Can we please take a moment to talk about Abhishek Sharma? He is the full package, hot, cute, and romantic kind of all in one package. Even during the phase where he claimed to hate her, you could see how much he actually cared, and I swear, every time he called her "Mrs. Sharma," my stomach was full of butterflies. Watching him shift from anger to redeeming himself through patience and actions was beautiful, but it also left me feeling a huge void because, seriously, where can I get a man like him?

Then there is Kanika, who is such a strong woman. Her life literally falls apart, her father goes to jail, her engagement breaks, and society judges her, but the way she held herself together was amazing. She continued to love and care for everyone around her despite her own pain, which made her character so easy to root for.

I absolutely loved their banter and the intense chemistry; and when they both got jealous. It’s a perfect mix of angst, passion, and family bonding that you don't want to miss.

And and and, let's not forget Rishabh, the mastermind😂👀 He is a true friend😁

This was my first book by author Neha, and now I realised what I had been missing out on. I didn’t expect to read more than 50% in one day especially when the book is around 550 pages, but I was completely hooked from the very beginning.

Abhishek Sharma hated Kanika. He believed she was a liar and a gold digger who had manipulated his best friend (who is also her cousin) for helping her financially after her father went to prison.

Kanika’s life changed completely when Devesh Goyal (her father) was imprisoned, leaving her and her mother to face the consequences alone. Though her brother Rishabh tried to help, Abhishek never trusted Kanika around his best friend or his family. He confronted and insulted her, accused her for using Rishabh to maintain a rich lifestyle. Heartbroken Kanika left with her mother to start a new life.

Later, Abhishek realised his mistake and went to Bangalore to ask for forgiveness. However fate led them into a contract marriage. The first week was manageable as they slowly grew comfortable with each other, until a major misunderstanding tore them apart once again leaving Kanika alone.

Abhishek and Kanika’s love story was anything but simple. It was messy, emotional, and filled with misunderstandings rooted. Abhishek didn't  trust because of his past and  hurt her continuosly with his words.

I loved Kanika’s character she was so strong, independent, and faced every challenge on her own. As for Abhishek, I honestly disliked him at first, but I appreciated his growth. After realising his mistakes, he didn’t just asked for forgiveness he earned it through his patience and actions, not just words.

Overall, I had a wonderful time reading this. Every character was well written, and Nishi and Rishabh added so much depth to the story. I’m now very curious about the rest of the series and can’t wait to read Samer’s story next.

Meant to Be is a heartwarming romance that blends the enemies-to-lovers and marriage of convenience tropes, giving readers plenty to enjoy. The story follows Abhishek and Kanika, two characters who are pushed into a marriage of convenience and start off as enemies, only to slowly fall for each other. The way their relationship builds is beautifully done, with a perfect slowburn that feels natural and real. Kanika’s strength and Abhishek’s stubbornness make for a fun and emotional dynamic throughout the book.

One of the best parts of this story is the many twists and turns it takes. There’s always something new happening, keeping the plot exciting and unpredictable. Each twist adds more depth to the characters and their journey, making it hard to put the book down.

The side characters, Rishabh and Nishi, are also a highlight. Their role as matchmakers brings humor and charm to the story, as they come up with clever ways to get Abhishek and Kanika to fall in love. They’re more than just side characters—they actively help move the plot forward and add to the fun.

The multiple POVs were also a great touch, allowing us to see different perspectives and understand each character’s emotions better. It made the story feel richer and more engaging.

The pacing in the first half was a bit slow, with some back-and-forth moments between the characters that felt repetitive. Some changes in the plot also felt a little sudden.

Overall, Meant to Be is a lovely, engaging read filled with romance, surprises, and well-developed characters. If you enjoy a story with a lot of twists and turns, strong characters, and a slowburn romance, this book is definitely worth picking up!

This book is such an amazing tale of heartbreak and love❤ I enjoyed it so much. I think I'm always a little partial towards Desi-romance books(because Of course I have to, they just feel so relatable and involving)
but this one was more than just romance, all the drama and suspense really kept me on edge. I loved the whole heartwarming family vibes.
Abhishek was an asshole. We all wanted to kick him in start, thank god he did grovel properly. Kanika is epitome of Desi woman(All independent and with biggest self respect) , won't take anyone's bullshit. Not even Abhishek's.

The whole jealousy thing from both the sides was my favorite part of this book✨ We love Jealous Abhishek in this house😂

Slow-burn was painfully slow but the wait was worth it☺ let me just give you a taste of it.
They are making out.........
Abhishek- we should stop.
Kanika- Why do you always stop?
Abhishek- sweetheart, on the night of our wedding, you’ll be the one saying we should stop.
*SCREAMING*
Also one of the best thing about this book was how proper desi it was. The culture, rituals and the intimacy part was portrayed as exactly as we all see around us in desi households.

Okay last this was so fun to read,I laughed and swooned for All the "MY WIFE" moments.
And I can't wait for samar's book👀

Thank you so much @ne for writing this book and @ for giving us the opportunity to read this❤❤

The moment the first book (Forever Yours) ended, I was eager to read Kanika's story, mainly because of the turmoil that the first book brought towards the end.

This book began with such an emotional encounter that it left me on the edge. Every chapter had a revelation which I wasn't ready for. I always had tears in the back of my eyes because of this.

Kanika Goyal, is my favourite character from this book, and I want to give her a tight hug. She's the strongest girl I have read about! Her resilience and dedication for the people she loves is commendable.

Abhishek Sharma, Mr Grumpy, who initially (and I won't lie), I hated 😂 I wanted to smack his head and put some sense in that empty brain of his to start trusting people. Not all experiences have to be bad. He was harsh on poor Kanika. But once he started putting in small efforts, like sending a special lunch box for her, had me melting. He was a grey character in the book,, who I ended up loving.

One thing that I hated (personally) was how almost everyone was unfair towards Kanika. Not only did Abhishek think that she was a privileged spoiled child, but Bhanu too made comments about her being privileged. They weren't empathetic to the situation she was going through. When in reality, every character from this book held some financial advantage or the other. I felt like such characters were made to her. This is just my personal judgement.

Overall, it was an emotional rollercoaster ride for me. This will make you feel frustrated, emotional and loved all at the same time.

I finished it... and then went right back to the first page. Because once was simply not enough !!!

Abhishek and Kanika's journey is layered with misunderstandings, pain, growth, and a love that doesn't come easy. It's messy, emotional, and beautifully human. This isn't a story about perfect romance, it's about learning, unlearning, hurting, healing, and choosing each other even when things get complicated.

Kanika is everything I admire in a female lead. She is resilient, grounded, and quietly powerful. Life tests her relentlessly, but she bends, grows, and rises stronger every single time.

Abhishek... frustrating at first, yes. But his character development is incredibly satisfying. He doesn't just apologise; he evolves. His growth feels real, earned, and heartfelt.

The constant twists and turns keep you completely hooked till the very end, and trust me, you won't be able to predict the core mystery

The last few chapters were pure chef's kisses. While many might think it's another hate-to-love story, it goes far beyond that. It's about understanding your own emotions and learning how to make the other person truly understand your heart.

Nidhi and Rishabh played such an important role in this story, and I absolutely loved seeing their after-marriage phase It added so much warmth, comfort, and emotional depth.

What I loved most is how the book handles heavy themes without making the reading experience overwhelming. It flows beautifully, pulls you in effortlessly, and makes you feel every moment.

Kanika and Abhishek. They are truly meant to be.

Feisty, head strong FMC trying to stand on her own after going through so much which starts with first her Dad’s betrayal then her Fiancé’s betrayal on top of it her Mom’s sickness. Poor girl can never catch a break but she comes out strong on top of it all!

Meet MMC,

Abhishek Arrogant Sharma
AKA
Abhishek Adamant Sharma
AKA
Abhishek Adonis Sharma

He needed swift kick to his butt and I loved all the groveling he had to do. All the angst. To get back in FMC’s good grace. He definitely made up for all his wrong doings with all the perfect surprises and gifts to get her back.

Little snippets before every chapter was everything 🤌🏼

Everyone is keeping secrets from everyone and they ask each other to not tell it to another person but some ended up telling it and this creates so much drama omg you’re gonna love it!

If I can have a penny every-time MMC is nuzzling FMC then I would be millionaire by now. Haha literally butterflies swarming in my tummy every single time.

But seriously, book is beautifully written. Here’s some quotes that I loved.

“The past May chase, but it won’t confine me; It’s bite may sting, yet it won’t define me.”

“That single touch was enough to rekindle a dormant part of me, igniting a flame that I thought was long extinguished.”

“You’re the yin to my yang, we perfectly blend, Without each other, our story would end. Together we thrive, apart we resist, For without you, I simply don’t exist.”

It is cute enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience romance which will hook you in right from the start.

Meant to Be by Neha Chenani Khanagwal is a heartwarming and enjoyable story about love, destiny, and drama. The book tells the journey of the main characters in a way that feels real and relatable, making it easy to connect with them and the challenges they faces.

Author's writing is smooth and simple, which makes the story easy to follow while still being full of emotions. The characters are well-developed, each with their own strengths and flaws, making them feel like real people. The relationships in the book, whether romantic or between family and friends, are portrayed beautifully, showing the ups and downs that come with them.

What makes Meant to Be stand out is how it balances lighthearted moments with deeper themes like destiny and choice. The story flows naturally, with a few twist and turns along the way that keep the reader hooked. By the end, you're left with a warm feeling and the belief that sometimes, life has a way of working out for the best.

It was a perfect combination of love, mystery, suspense, emotional and everything in between. Once I started this book, I couldn't stop myself until I finished it but still I feel like I want more!!!

I fell in love with author's writing. I am going to read every single book written by her and the book she will write in the future🥰

Overall, Meant to be is a perfect read for those who loves desi romance with bollywood vibes and the idea that some things in life are simply 'meant to be'.

I just finished this book, and honestly, this one was like totally a rollercoaster! But that's obviously something to be expected in Neha's books, right? Abhishek and Kanika felt relatable right from the starting chapters and their chemistry definitely kept me hooked throughout. In the book, their mix of fiery arguments versus the sweet and tender moments is the really amazing part. I loved how the story wasn’t just about romance but also touched on usually sensitive topics like personal growth, family problems and how to handle them as well as relations and bonds. Kanika and Abhishek, two people who misunderstood each other and how they were situationally coerced into the marriage shaped a lot of their starting interactions but they got close together and fell in love, ready to fight for each other.

What really stood out for me was the slow burn and forced proximity trope done so well. The way their relationship evolved like with all the push and pull,, the author kept the tension alive with banter without ever feeling dragged out. The author’s writing style is easy to read, with just the right amount of drama and heartwarming moments to balance their epic love story.

Summarizing my review, this book was a delightful escape. I would recommend it to readers that love an emotional romance and a true connection. I found myself laughing, swooning, and even tearing up at times. Loved it a lot!

I have been a huge fan of the entire series, and this part is not less. I had a great time reading this book that talks emotions, that spread laughter and allow you to float on the deep connection shared by protagonists.

"Meant to Be" by Neha is a desi billionaire romance featuring a marriage of convenience between Kanika Goyal and Abhishek Sharma, blending slow-burn tension, family drama, and emotional healing.

Kanika's life unravels after her father's arrest for criminal activities, leading to betrayal by her fiancé and social ostracism; she flees to start anew, only to clash with Abhishek, her cousin's best friend who misjudges her as opportunistic.

Coming from a bad experience in the past, Abhishek also has reasons to judge people but when he understood the truth guilt prompts him to apologize, but destiny forces them into a contract marriage amid misunderstandings, past traumas, and escalating twists involving family secrets and suspense.

The narrative shifts from hate-to-love banter to heartfelt groveling, culminating in mutual healing and passion.

The writing is superb, leaving behind a trace of fulfillment and happiness. The conversation and dialogues kept me hooked the entire time.

Abhishek - I am head over heels with your character. Can't tell you how much I loved you the entire time.

Highly recommended to all the romance lovers.

Meant To Be by Neha Chenani Khanagwal is a compelling desi romance that blends emotional depth with some of the most loved tropes—marriage of convenience, hate-to-love, and second chances💖
Kanika Goyal finds herself at rock bottom when circumstances beyond her control force her into an arrangement she never wanted. Abhishek Sharma, a powerful yet emotionally guarded CEO, is weighed down by his past and his inability to trust. What begins as a reluctant apology soon turns into a contractual marriage that neither of them is prepared for.
The strength of this book lies in its character development. Kanika’s resilience and vulnerability make her easy to root for, while Abhishek’s internal struggle and gradual self-realisation add emotional weight to the story. Their relationship evolves naturally, with plenty of tension, misunderstandings, and heartfelt moments that keep the pages turning✨
The writing is engaging and fast-paced, and the emotional beats are well executed without feeling overdone. The desi setting adds charm and authenticity, making the story feel grounded despite the billionaire romance angle💕
Overall, Meant To Be is a satisfying romance filled with angst, growth, and redemption. A great pick for readers who enjoy trope-driven love stories with emotional payoff✨💖.

🦋 Kanika is heartbroken after knowing her father's true colors. She is Rishabh Singhania's cousin sister and Nishi's best friend. She decides to find and job and settle with her mother away from prying eyes of people.

🦋 Abhishek Sharma COO of Singhania enterprises , best friend of Rishabh Singhania. He thinks that Kanika and her mom are not innocent and were well aware of her father's deeds. He thinks Kanika as an attention seeker and gold digger.

🦋 Though Kanika has a soft corner for Abhishek she never shows it. And Abhishek leaves no chance to hurt Kanika.

What happens that they get married?

Yet another 5 star read. This book was definitely much better than the 1st book. Though it can be read as a standalone, it's better when you read the 1st book and then this. Each character is woven so intricately making the story more enjoyable. Kanika's pain was heartbreaking and I wanted to kick Abhishek the way Kanika kicks Ajay😂 oh that scene was out of the world and they way everyone tells Abhishek to be careful of Kanika's kicks is epic. With each twist the story get more and more interesting. The climax was totally shocking and left me speechless. Grab this unputdownable romantic suspense which will keep you on the edge yet entertained.

Meant to Be pulled me in way faster than I expected and honestly didn’t let me breathe until I was done. What starts as a tense, forced situation slowly turns into something intense, emotional, and surprisingly layered. Kanika’s life unravels all at once, and watching her navigate judgment, loss, and pressure without losing her spine made me admire her so much. She’s soft but never weak.

Abhishek, on the other hand, is complicated in the best way. He’s guarded, stubborn, and driven by a past that clearly still owns parts of him. His journey from mistrust to quiet care, from distance to devotion felt incredibly satisfying to read. Their dynamic is full of friction, sharp banter, jealousy, and moments that make your heart squeeze.

What really worked for me was how the story never stayed predictable. Just when I settled into the romance, twists and secrets shifted everything, giving it almost a thriller-like edge. The emotional highs, the tension, the slow build of trust it all blended beautifully.

If you love intense romance with drama, suspense, and flawed characters, this one is worth your time.

This book truly lives up to its name. From the first few pages, it pulls you into a journey that feels intense, emotional, and very real. Abhishek and Kanika’s story isn’t easy or smooth—it’s messy, painful, and full of moments where you question everything. But that’s exactly what makes it so powerful. No matter how many times life pulls them apart, something keeps drawing them back together, like they were always meant to find their way home.

Kanika’s character especially stayed with me. She goes through so much, yet she doesn’t lose herself. Her strength, her choices, and the way she stands up for herself and her mother made me admire her deeply. Abhishek, on the other hand, frustrated me at times—but watching his growth, his efforts, and understanding his reasons slowly changed my perspective. He isn’t perfect, and that imperfection makes him human.

The relationship between them is filled with fire—strong emotions, unspoken tension, deep love, and moments that make your heart ache. The story balances romance with drama, family bonds, and emotional depth beautifully. Every chapter makes you want to read just one more. By the end, you don’t just finish the book—you feel it.

Meant To Be is an amazing book where the love story of Abhishek and Kanika who had to tie the knot as confusing and hesitant couples via marriage of convenience to later becoming inseparable lovers who falls head over heels with each other has been so finely narrated due to which it makes for a thoroughly enjoyable read till the end.

The sweet and sour chemistry of this lovable duo and the ways in which they react whenever a so-called lover comes into the picture and also their strong support for each other truly gives examples of couple goals.

Kanika, who is sentimental, a bit stubborn and a strong girl who doesn't hesitate in showing her awesome avatar as a black belt karate champion emerge as an impressive lady whereas Abhishek who initially dons a bossy attitude later appears as a swoonworthy hero who goes above and beyond to impress Kanika.

The dramatic story of Abhisbek and Kanika's parents and the intense twist brought about by Sonali or Maria and also the friendship tales of Nishi, Risabh, Samar, Neera altogether makes this book an entertaining literary masterpiece.

Meant to Be Exceeds Expectations!

After devouring Forever Yours, I eagerly awaited Meant to Be, and I was blown away by this amazing novel! The contract marriage trope is skillfully woven into a unique narrative that stands out from other books on the same topic.

The chemistry between Mr.Abhishek Adamant Sharma and Mrs.Kanika kick-ass Sharma is undeniable, and their banter is laugh-out-loud hilarious! The author seamlessly weaves in characters from Forever Yours, adding depth to the story.

If you enjoy love stories with perfect humor and a touch of drama, you're in for a treat! A must-read, especially the dedication part - it beautifully captures the feelings couples have for each other. I was so moved that I shared it with my husband!

I've already read Meant to Be thrice and can't get enough of it! It's a book that can be read multiple times, and each time you'll discover something new to love. So, dive in and enjoy the ride!"

I am eagerly anticipating a new love story featuring Neera and Samar. Can't wait to read their love story!
