Tempting the Tight End by Lisa Suzanne

Tempting the Tight End is another new and addictive book in the Nash brother's series. And I think it might be my favorite in this particular series.
The book starts with Asher Nash still finding his place in the Vegas team. His teammates still judge him for his past mistakes. And they assume his brother, their coach, is favoring him over them. He is trying his best to prove them otherwise.
Asher attends an event and last minute Desiree Dixon comes to the event as well. Desiree's father just became a new coach of the Vegas Aces and the two of them are seated at the same table. Coach Dixon has one rule. Stay away from my daughter. Asher has no idea who Desiree is and she keeps her lips pressed together and doesn't tell him she is the coach's daughter. She keeps her lips pressed because she and Asher have the most amazing chemistry. And they both let those feelings consume them and they spend the night together. Desiree has to leave in the middle of the night because her father needs some medicine. She leaves Asher a note, but he never finds that note and thinks she just up and left.
For a few excruciating weeks they think the other one is ignoring them. And when they bump into each other again... Asher cannot control his feelings and goes after her into a hallway and presses her against the wall. I love how honest they were and how quickly things were cleared up.
Their chemistry was so mind blowing and I felt every emotion run through my own body.
But Asher is struggling with a lot of guilt. He really thrives under Coach Dixon and he feels guilty for loving his daughter. He wants to stay loyal to his coach.
Desiree thinks they can keep it a secret and that is what this book is about. It's about two people who crave and love each other but can't really be together. They only can have these secret moments and it messes with their heads.
I love how honest Asher was. And how he never hid his feelings and confusing emotions.
I also loved the side stories that were woven through this story. The Nash brother's finding out a huge secret of their father. I also liked the new people and how new friendships were formed in this book. I think some of the events might lead to two more books in this series.
This book has such a great flow. I was completely sucked into the story and I loved how vulnerable Asher is. And how he embraces that vulnerability.
The only thing made it a 4.5 stars book instead of a 5 star book is that the ending was rather slow. I think that could have been tidied up in scrapping a chapter or 2.
But all in all an amazing, addicted and such fun book. 4.5 huge stars from me for Asher and Des!

Tight End, Asher, meets Desiree at a charity ball; what he doesn’t know? She’s the new coaches daughter.
This book had me in a chokehold! Asher & Desiree had so much chemistry it was palpable, and this book goes to number one for me in sports romances.
There was a great storyline with different twists and turns as well as the all important spice, which was absolute perfection. Tropes I wouldn’t normally be a fan of I even found myself liking, which shows how well Lisa Suzanne has done with this book.
A must read for all sports romance fans out there!

I wanna say that I've been looking forward to Asher's book because he's so eccentric and from the snippet we got in Spencer's book and him tell Spence that there's a girl, I knew this would be a good one.
Asher Nash is more than his very out there fashion. He's the youngest Nash brother and he's trying to find his place in this world. Yeah he loves and breathes football and is very good at it. But he was surrounded by controversy as soon as he became apart of the Vegas Aces. Apart from his fashion, he didnt know how to stand out from the shadows of his brothers and his father. Until he met Desiree. I'm not saying he figured out everything at once but she changed him in all the best ways. She made him look at family and life differently than the way he viewed it before.
Desiree Dixon is an event planner and the coach's daughter. She was a San Diego Storms fan through and through but when her dad left that team and took a job at the Vegas Aces, everything changed. She attends the charity ball and fell into instalust with Asher. They both did. She was caught between staying in San Diego or move to Vegas when things got a bit serious plus the job opportunity of a lifetime. Oh and she's a book girlie; one of my favorite things to see in books now. She and her friends are locked in with all the smutty goodness novels plus yeah a book club. So awesome.
These two were meant to be. They matched each others energy and freak level lol. You can see throughout the book why they are how they are. Why he doesn't believe in commitment and why her dad doesn't want her dating a football player. But no matter how much of a pull away there was, they always ended up in the same place or missing each other. Again, meant to be. Fate.
Now, apart from the romance which is a HUGE part to the book of course, there were twists and turns that had me with EYES. WIDE. OPEN. I have never liked Eddie Nash. I started to but not a huge much and then he shows up in this book. The man is despicable and I hope to never read about him again. But we have to see again and trust me the reason why we'll see him again, well, it'll shock you but not really because he's a disgusting human being who never appreciated out beautiful Missy. The only good thing to come out of him are his AMAZING sons. Apart from that ass-wipe, it was so wonderful seeing Lincoln, Grayson, Spencer, Jolene, Ava and Grace again. I love this family so freaking much. Plus, we got to meet two other special people who will continue to make our hearts swoon; I'm so giddy, can't wait.
Overall I rate this book a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5. There were parts of this book where I wanted to slap Asher in his face and cuss him out BUT the thing about these Nash brothers, when they mess up, they grovel and make up for it. She should've made him grovel a bit more lol, but they're so beautiful together. Asher is the type of man that when she felt sick, he dropped everything and ran to her, well flew because they were in two different states. He put away the fact that her dad did not approve to let him and her mom know she was sick and going to the hospital. When he came to his senses, he didnt let anyone or anything stop him. And Desiree. She's a straight forward woman and knows what she wants and goes after it. She made him aware of what she wanted and didnt regret it, she knew it was forbidden but she was basically like "fuck it". I love her. This book was phenomenal. Oh and the spice, let's just say you wont be disappointed. Remember, their relationship started with light then heavy flirting and then that one night stand. *chefs kiss* They had so much chemistry and passion between them which only intensified their spicy moments. 😏😏😏😏😏 Asher and Desiree are definitely one of my favorites. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Book 3 in the Nash brothers series Asher and Desiree story
This is a Football romance,coaches daughter, forbidden /secret romance.
After reading the first to book in this series’s I couldn’t wait to dig deeper into Asher the youngest out of the four Nash brother and I wasn’t disappointed, Lisa has written Asher character perfectly he grown so much and Desiree she just calms him.
Desiree and Asher just clicked, I loved there story how there worked on there relationship as it was forbidden on both sides daddies girl can’t date a football player and the coaches daughter is off limits but as we no in this book world that never happens 😀
As i always say I love a series as you get to see characters from previous book, you get the chance see were there are in their life’s.

Tempting the Tight End is the third book in The Nash Brothers series, but it can be read as a standalone. Asher Nash is trying to bounce back after being suspended from the NFL for a year because of some poor choices. Now, he wants to clear his name and stand out, especially since his brother is the head coach. At a charity event, he meets Desiree, and they click right away. Desiree slips away after spending just one night together, leaving her number behind. Asher tries to move on but can’t stop thinking about her. He later finds out she’s the new offensive coach's daughter, which means she's off-limits. Despite trying to stay away, their attraction is too strong to ignore.
The forbidden nature of Desiree and Asher's relationship had me locked in. They had amazing chemistry. I loved Asher! He is easygoing, fun, charming, and all in with Desiree. There was more to him than meets the eye, and I enjoyed the growth of his character throughout the story. Desiree is confident and knows exactly what she wants. Desiree and Asher were meant to be together. Tempting the Tight End is an easy-to-read sports romance with the perfect amount of drama, humor, and heat. There are also twists and side stories that make it impossible to put the book down. I love how different the Nash brothers are, and it's so fun reading their stories.
Narration:
Kelsey Navarro Foster and Tor Thom did great with this dual-style narrated audiobook. Kelsey did a wonderful job portraying the intelligent, confident, sassy Desiree Dixon. Thor did an amazing job portraying the "wild, unpredictable, spontaneous" Asher Nash. This was a fun listen!

Asher Nash and his tacky outfits stole my heart! I loved his and Desiree’s story so much. It’s my favorite of the Nash Brothers series.
Asher is the tight end for the Las Vegas Aces and the youngest Nash brother. He comes from a family full of football players. He’s known to wear very wild outfits to get a rise out of his siblings. He never thought in a million years that he would meet someone who would turn his world upside down.
Desiree Dixon has been warned by her father (who is a coach for the Aces) to stay away from football players. She was simply living her life as an event planner when she met Asher at a charity event one night. They spend one night together and things are never the same again.
I could not put this book down. My favorite thing was Asher’s character development. He struggled to find his place among his family and his team. He was the carefree youngest brother but there was some very real baggage that he had to deal with. There are some surprises in store for you in this book too! Words cannot adequately describe how much I loved this story!

Desiree Dixon is a smart and sassy junior event planner in San Diego when her parents relocate to Vegas, her dad an NFL OC coach. They want her to move and dating players is a hard no. Desi loves her friends and their spicy book club gatherings but her job could be more in line with her goals.
A forbidden, electric, unforgettable night can’t be ignored. This couple are layered and interesting. They should be careful and cautious, they most definitely are not!
If you are after a football story with heat and drama, this book might be for you.
I enjoy reading Ms Suzanne’s complete novels set in Vegas, Asher did not disappoint. This can be read as a stand-alone novel but is best read in series order.

I enjoy reading Ms Suzanne’s complete novels set in Vegas, Asher did not disappoint. This can be read as a stand-alone novel but is best read in series order.

I started this book believing it was my last brother Nash, with all the nostalgia of finishing a series and saying goodbye to your favorite characters and then Lisa Suzanne surprised me again

What is it that makes sneaking around so darn sexy? One wild night turns into a secret relationship with his coach’s daughter. Asher Nash is a great leading man. He’s hot, has great personality and surprisingly a lot of responsible attitudes. Desireé is fun, independent and full of spunk, just how I like my leading ladies. He never meant to fall for her, but their initial chemistry ignited a fire that just wouldn’t go out. Loving the playful way Des turns the tables on Asher at every turn. The forbidden nature of their relationship sizzles at every interaction. This book is pure fire! 🔥 There were a lot of bumps and bruises along the way which made for a wild ride. I enjoyed the brother bonds, the supportive friends and all the playful banter.

Oh those Nash brothers 🤭 Tempting the Tight End will have you laughing, smiling, and blushing. I’d been looking forward to Asher’s story since I first read Wedding the Wide Receiver and got to read all about his out-there outfits. Desiree and Asher’s chemistry is off the charts from the first night they meet. Fate brought them together the night of the charity ball. Des knew who he was, but Asher had no idea she was his new coach’s daughter. And supposed to be off limits 😬 It was only supposed to be a one-night-stand, but fate had other plans. Desiree is feisty, Asher is loyal, and it was insta-lust for the two of them. If you love football romance, one night stand, secret relationship, found family, with a couple twists, definitely check out this book, and the rest of The Nash Brothers series.

Asher Nash (28) is the youngest brother of four famous NFL Football Nash Brothers. However, he also has hanging over him the disgrace of being the son of Eddie Nash, the ex-NFL player who has disgraced the title and then dragged his son into it by getting him to bet for him on his team since he now lived in Vegas. Asher didn’t stand a chance. He did it out of love for his dad, after years of hero-worshipping, conditioning to obey the man, and then listening to the same man who verbally badgered him non-stop on his worst plays after each game only to try and reconcile himself to understand that yeah that’s his father. And don't get me started on her dad Coach Dixon. Talk about a pain in the behind. What an a$$! He needed to get over himself. He would have been sleeping on the couch, doing his own laundry, etc... That was an unreasonable expectation, to begin with since hello she is 25. Did he really think getting him traded was going to earn him any brownie points? She would have gone with him and so would the baby and his wife. Because he said himself he’s gone so much he doesn't need her but her daughter and her family will.
Never one of the good ones. Then he had the overpowering need to try, to get a voice, to stand out, to have his own identity, or to forge his own path, and to not have to live up to a playbook set by his brothers. He wants to be his own author in a playbook that he writes.
Then there is a charity event he needs to attend and only needs one ticket, and gives the other back in case someone might need it. And he ends up with the perfect date for sure. When he sees Desiree Dixon (25), he realizes all those stories about love at first sight are true, but love at first lust is true, too.
Not only that their personalities and humor complement one another, but, it is their sexual frustration and pent-up energy to please one another. However, secrets are being kept all over the place. On day one, the first secret kept was Desi from Asher. She knew who he was but not the other way around, but by then it was, too late they had caught feelings. Desi and Asher have kept them from the whole Aces organization, from Desi’s Dad especially. Mainly because of his unrealistic order given to his 25-year-old daughter. Then, there is ‘Good Ol’ Eddie Boy’ he has a secret, that blows his sons out of the water. They are about to air all of his father’s dirty laundry.
Okay, I’m sorry. Why do they keep enabling their father? “What about the utilities?” Are you kidding me? Your kids, all four are chipping in to buy a condo for you. So you can move out, and they will handle the monthly mortgage. And that’s Eddie’s response. Oh, I don’t know, Ed. Stop racking up gambling debt, and get a job. I hope he gets his come-upins. Oh, his awful dinner with Asher and Desi was just beyond low and despicable.
It was nice to see Asher find someone who was his equal in every way. Who complimented his strength and could pull him out of his depths and vice versa.

This book starts with Asher, who has had a checkered past, however, he wants to overcome his past mistakes and be a better person and a better team player and earn his spot on the team. Asher attends a charity event for the team and a beautiful woman by the name of Desiree gets seated next to him. Asher isn’t blind, he can see how beautiful she is, but Desiree is the coach’s daughter and the Coach has one rule: Stay away from my daughter! However, Desiree is forthcoming with that tiny little bit of information and chooses not to tell him who her father is. As the night goes on, they hit it off. They have undeniable chemistry, the attraction is there and the banter is top-tier. They let the night and their chemistry carry them away and they end up having a one-night stand and Desiree dips out in the middle of the night leaving Asher a note while he’s asleep alone in the bed. Unfortunately, he never sees the note and he’s left thinking that she just took off.
Weeks pass, life goes on. He can’t stop thinking about that night. He can’t get her out of his head. It drives in crazy that he thinks she just up and left him. It’s when they bump into each other again that the truth comes out and Asher can’t control himself, or his feelings and chases after her and pins her up against the wall demanding answers.
It was cleared up fast, but now Asher has to deal with the fact that Desiree is the coach’s daughter he has a lot of respect for the coach and now holds so much guilt that he’s broken the one rule he has made but even though he’s only known Desiree a short time, he’s completely head over heels for her, the chemistry and attraction is there and he doesn’t want to let her go…
Can these two keep their relationship hidden from everyone, especially Coach? Or will he find out and will there be hell to pay? Is how Asher feels about Desiree worth risking his position on the team and the respect of his coach and teammates?
I loved this! I think this would have to be my favourite book by Lisa so far! I loved that they were straight to the point to clear things up so there was little to no drama and confusion. I loved how Asher wore his heart on his sleeve when it came to Desiree and that he was willing to risk it all for her. *Swoon*

This book starts with Asher, who has had a checkered past, however, he wants to overcome his past mistakes and be a better person and a better team player and earn his spot on the team. Asher attends a charity event for the team and a beautiful woman by the name of Desiree gets seated next to him. Asher isn’t blind, he can see how beautiful she is, but Desiree is the coach’s daughter and the Coach has one rule: Stay away from my daughter! However, Desiree is forthcoming with that tiny little bit of information and chooses not to tell him who her father is. As the night goes on, they hit it off. They have undeniable chemistry, the attraction is there and the banter is top-tier. They let the night and their chemistry carry them away and they end up having a one-night stand and Desiree dips out in the middle of the night leaving Asher a note while he’s asleep alone in the bed. Unfortunately, he never sees the note and he’s left thinking that she just took off.
Weeks pass, life goes on. He can’t stop thinking about that night. He can’t get her out of his head. It drives in crazy that he thinks she just up and left him. It’s when they bump into each other again that the truth comes out and Asher can’t control himself, or his feelings and chases after her and pins her up against the wall demanding answers.
It was cleared up fast, but now Asher has to deal with the fact that Desiree is the coach’s daughter he has a lot of respect for the coach and now holds so much guilt that he’s broken the one rule he has made but even though he’s only known Desiree a short time, he’s completely head over heels for her, the chemistry and attraction is there and he doesn’t want to let her go…
Can these two keep their relationship hidden from everyone, especially Coach? Or will he find out and will there be hell to pay? Is how Asher feels about Desiree worth risking his position on the team and the respect of his coach and teammates?
I loved this! I think this would have to be my favourite book by Lisa so far! I loved that they were straight to the point to clear things up so there was little to no drama and confusion. I loved how Asher wore his heart on his sleeve when it came to Desiree and that he was willing to risk it all for her. *Swoon*
Amazing banter, undeniable chemistry and extremely well-written!

Asher, like his brothers, is a professional football player and after a suspension, is making a comeback, trying to redeem himself and revamp his image. So next time she visits her dad in Vegas, he learns who she really was, the coach’s daughter, and was off-limits. I loved all the layers of this story and how it all played out, with the perfect balance of drama, charming humor, witty dialogue, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. The writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Lisa Suzanne, thank you for another amazing story that captivated my attention and tugged at my heartstrings the entire time.

I loved how they took each role and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound, with both nailing it in both the lead roles and the secondary roles, showcasing all aspects of their personalities. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling each one. These two made an amazing team, with complementing voices and talent and a performance that elevates this already fantastic story to another level. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another wonderful listen.
