Bad things in my life seem to come in threes. I thought waking up in the middle of my teacher-summer-vacation to the pipes of my house bursting was bad. I thought that finding out our middle school would be absorbing the students and staff of another, whose foundation was deemed unsafe, was worse. Penelope!
I’ll start by saying, you have to read the other books. Sure they can sort of be stand alone but with this one - you need the others. Anthony and Penelope were teased so much!
I kind of assumed a lot with these two but I was off the mark. They both had so much more of a story to tell.
I enjoyed how much the author dove into Anthony’s ADHD and what he called “bees in his head”. It was well written and thoughtful.
Penny’s history with her Mom was important but I felt like we were left with a bit of holes. Penny often dug her head in the sand and it felt like this relationship was left hanging.
The end was sweet and what you expect it to be! I assume this is the end of the series and it was a lovely gathering of everyone.

Struggled with this one
I put off reading this one for a while and then still struggled to get through it. It took a few days and that was with me pushing myself. I just really didn’t like the storyline. And I probably should have just skipped it. Least favorite in the series for sure. **Spoilers ahead**
Don’t read if you don’t want spoilers
The way Anthony hurt Penelope and then had the audacity to say he fell in love with her on that beach yet still went back to his ex and for what? Honestly it just ticked me off. There was too much left unknown about how it happened and maybe that’s why it made it feel so much worse. He knew the ex didn’t want kids yet still chose to hurt Penelope bc he didn’t want to hurt his ex? He didn’t deserve a second chance regardless of how “good” he was to her now.
This book was entirely too long and repetitive. I probably should have just dnf as soon as I got the ick from Anthony’s excuse.
The only thing I actually liked is the epilogue that looks into the future of everyone.

Never disappointed
Man. The men Allie writes about are so smoking. Golden retriever in public and woah in the bedroom (maybe in public too). Her characters Anthony and Penelope have so much depth and character, you can’t help but fall in love with them. This book talks about second chances, adhd and a family that’s both found and blood. I also love that you can read each one of these books and see characters from previous ones.

This was such an odd book, I'm really happy they weren't Disney adults, although Ant was an Avengers freak and these two were both so immature throughout the whole book. I'm also still really confused on how they resolved things? I feel like their conversations were no more than 8 sentences at any point. Idk, didn't hit home, but it was also lightyears better than the other books in the series

this is my favorite
I have my own version of him in real life (which is hilarious because my ex husband is Anthony😂) so I love to see a man admit a mistake and grow from it. He’s truly A rose bush, gets prettier with all the time passing, great job as always.
