Alicia started writing her debut novel in 2020. When the rest of the world turned their creative energies to planting gardens and becoming You tube sensations, she wrote Book One. Then she was hooked and couldn’t stop.

Her writing style is like the old children’s song, “Deep and Wide.” Deep: rich, layered characters wrestling with serious issues. Wide: multiple points of view for a broader reader experience. Children often bring unique perspectives to her stories.

Alicia currently lives in Florida, smack dab in the center of the state. So, no, you won’t find her lounging on any beach-front property. Actually, when she’s not writing the next book, she’s serving foster families with her revered organizational skills.

I really enjoyed this book! The writing is so good and very engaging! Agent Quincy “Q” Adams is such a great character. I first met him in “Rekindling Hope” and liked him a lot. Don’t worry, this book definitely works as a standalone. He has a fiancée, Hope, and is still learning how to be romantic and share feelings. He is assigned to get the trust of a woman, Candace or “Red”, who has committed crimes but they need more information from her. Candace has also had her share of trauma and Q helps her with some of it. But he also has to reassure his fiancée that he loves her and isn’t leaving her for another woman. This was a great story and I love the Christian content! I also liked that the main character Q is questioning Christianity and becoming a Christian. I love how that progresses. I felt so bad for Red. But I really enjoyed this great redemption story! I definitely recommend!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Content: Red comes onto Q but gets shot down quickly (very mild), murder

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

"If he learned that Red had simply been another trapped victim doing her best to escaped from a horrible life, his conscience would be clear to say so in his testimony. Even if he didn't like Red personally. And even if those PR people didn't appreciate his two cents. The jury needed the whole story; that's how the system worked."

Quincy Adams is a junior FBI agent. He is fine with being behind the scenes. So when an informant proves to be difficult, he is not exactly thrilled to try to get proof of her guilt by interviewing her. What follows is many difficult interactions. Some even seem to affect his upcoming wedding. Can he find the truth? And what kind of impact will this have on Quincy himself?

Such a wonderful thought-provoking book. The characters are complex and interesting. Told from three different viewpoints, all of them experienced growth and change. And one minor character (known for her coffee), might have made the most impact with her wisdom found in an unexpected package. Many parts surprised me and left me feeling uncomfortable in all of the best ways. The book challenged me to think about choices as well as how I view others and faith.

No one is beyond redemption. While not all of the details are wrapped up in a neat bow, the book has the right amount of resolution. This title is connected to the author's Seth Browne trilogy and specifically to the Rekindling Hope novella. I am glad that I read those books first, but one could read this story as a stand-alone. Reading those other books helped me to fully appreciate Quincy as a character and appreciate him a bit more.

I did read an advanced copy of this book. I wanted to read and review it as I really enjoy this author's perspective on life. All opinions are my own.

Alicia Gilliam hooked me with her novella, Rekindling Hope, and I have been a fan ever since!

In The Testimony of Agent Adams, Gilliam wove Biblical principles and scriptures into the narrative while keeping the story engaging.

I also felt that Gilliam expertly blended spiritual growth with the main character's relationship development in way that seemed both natural and compelling.

I highly recommend this book!

God does the doing part. Trust in His process and don’t get in the way.

Quincy Adams is used to sitting at a desk and helping finish up cases.to be asked to go in the field and get a confession from someone that no one else has been able to get, seems rather crazy. It would appear that he has no choice, however, so Charlotte here he comes.

Hope is Q’s fiancée and a student counselor at an elementary school. They have been doing a BIble Study together at her church. She is learning much about her faith and he is slowly realizing that he cannot rely on his fiancée’s faith to carry him. He needs to find his own.

Attempting to get a confession out of Red (Candace Jenkins) is much harder than Q expected. Trying to figure out her past with the hope that it will clarify why she has done what she did. Ask questions, build trust and hopefully get that confession. But will it work? It’s all about who holds the power.

An early copy was received through BookFunnel. These thoughts are my own and were in no way solicited.

The Testimony of Agent Adams is the second book I have read by Alicia Gilliam, and it did not disappoint. Though you could totally read this as a stand-alone, it is kind of a spin-off of another series, Seth Browne. Which I still need to get my hands on and read. The Testimony of Agent Adams was an easy read.

The character development was perfect. I enjoyed getting to know Agent Q and Hope a little better and getting to know Red. I loved seeing the difference in characters. Quincy’s journey to faith was fun and encouraging. Hope dealing with her relationship issues. And Red dealing with past trauma and trying to find her way in this world. I enjoyed each character and the role they played in the story.

The storyline was great. I always appreciate a good criminal justice story line. So having Agent Quincy on a case, really drew me in.

The relationship aspect was perfect. Nothing over the top. Just sweet and light. I always enjoy when an author keeps romance to the perfect amount and doesn’t make it the physical aspect the center of the story.

Alicia Gilliam did a wonderful job intertwining faith throughout the book. I always appreciate when faith is intertwined and not just an afterthought. Also showing that faith is not always easy. Sometimes we need to struggle through it.

Alicia Gilliam is one of the best authors you have probably never heard of. Her books are truly in a class by themselves. An amazing journey through spiritual doubt and lies leading to a satisfying destination of peace and love is waiting for you in these pages. You will relate to Q and Hope in a personal way, and root them on as they struggle to find their path to God and each other through difficult circumstances.
This book is a spin-off of the Seth Browne trilogy and the short Christmas sequel Rekindling Hope. But it is easily a stand alone novel. Get the big picture in this book, then go back to the other books to get all the details. For deep, real-life fiction that you will not be able to put down, this is a great place to start. 5 stars!

This book is different from any other book I have read, and has taken me awhile to write a review. My favorite part of the book is it has a strong faith element and the reader gets to follow along with the characters as they question what they truly believe. There's a little bit of suspense and relationship struggle. The relationship storyline was one I personally wasn't as fond of because of how the characters handled the situation. It made me a bit frustrated because I didn't understand why there was such a lack of communication, especially on the therapist part. Of course the author was trying to show that sometimes we need to let go and let God. In the end, it was an enjoyable read, and I would recommend the book.

I received an ARC copy from the author and was not required to leave a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Testimony of Agent Adams is a refreshingly different Christian fiction novel. The characters are very relatable and compelling and I found myself rooting for all of them. I love the way Gilliam weaves Scripture into the spiritual development of her characters without having that one trite gospel conversation that is so easy to just skip over as it has little to do with the plot of the book. Instead, the reader is drawn along with the characters on their quest to find Truth. And just as Q’s testimony relates to both his testimony in court and his testimony in a spiritual sense, the characters are looking for both the truth of what happened in the hotel and the ultimate author of Truth. I love Gilliam’s writing style and look forward to reading more from her.

The Testimony of Agent Adams drew me into the main character’s search for truth in a way that
made it hard to put down. Although this book follows the Seth Brown Trilogy, I promise that this
book can be enjoyed even without having read the others. The faith elements in this book were
refreshingly specific. I was challenged and even convicted at times. I felt that I was able to
really get to know all of the characters and found myself rooting for every one of them. My
favorite character, however, was a delightful woman with special needs, whom Gilliam wove
beautifully into the story line. Certainly a book I will be recommending!

The Testimony of Agent Adams is a hard book to catagorize. It isn't truly a sequel, even though Alicia Gilliam's previous books have Agent Adams as a character. It isn't suspense, even though there are suspense elements. It definitely isn't romance, even though there is love. It isn't humor, even though the characters and situations bring humor. If you desire a book that breaks molds, makes you think, deepens faith and has great characters, this is the book for you. If this is your first book by the author, you will want to read all the others as well because they are just as wonderful.

I received an early copy from the author, but all opinions are my own.

I enjoyed getting to delve deeper with characters introduced in previous books. Alicia has once again written a compelling story with characters that feel real and have real & relatable obstacles to overcome. It’s another great read!
