This holiday season, Christmas gets a little bit naughty, and love just might sneak onto the list. When there's a suddden vacancy for the role of Santa, Christmas is left without a leader. Penelope, the Head Elf, is determined to save the day. But she needs a magical figurehead to make it happen.
Enter Krampus, the billionaire playboy and the last monster anyone would expect to step into Santa’s boots. But as luck would have it, he’s the only one with the magic to pull it off.
The problem? Krampus has zero interest in spreading holiday cheer. Desperate to save Christmas, Penelope is willing to do whatever it takes to get the monster's attention. And once she has it, she'll stop at nothing to keep it.
As the days pass, Penelope finds herself drawn to his devilish charm, and Krampus starts to realize there’s more to Christmas—and to Penelope—than he ever imagined.
I loved this story of Krampus and Penelope! There was definitely some surprises inside this one! I’m usually pretty good at predicting books but woah! I love how descriptive it is so that you can fully imagine it in your head. Never thought I’d find myself reading about Krampus but here we are! It was such a good read, I want a physical copy of this one AND beaneath the monster for my “trophy shelf” (bookshelf) lol. I’d be proud to display such great stories! I love fun little reads.
I liked this at first because I thought the tension was going to have a great culmination, but it never got to be the sexy/sweet story of the last book, and then it became a fmm situation (which normally I have no problem with — but it was not advertised at all and it was not at all what I was in the mood for).
I wanted more emotional conversations and realizations. I didn’t believe either of them cared enough about one another, or even knew each other enough, to be anything more than sex partners. Did either of them grow? Honestly not sure. About halfway the sex scenes stopped appealing to me entirely. And why do they even give a shit about Peter? Like what? Who is he even?! Ok rant over.
But listen, if you like fmm with a krampus turned Santa, a head elf, and a rando — the spice is 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Oh my Krampus! I didn’t think we this series could get better than Grim’s story (and cinnamon candy cane goodness), but I’ve been proven wrong! This is a wonderful take on the story of Krampus, and his red velvet deliciousness (seriously! Who doesn’t love red velvet!?) when I say this is spicy…. It is knock your socks (and panties) off HOT!! Do yourself a favor and read this book! Please give me more of this series!
I didn't think I could love another holiday monster like Grim, but Kram has proven me wrong!
Kram is the perfect combination of gentleman and monster. He gives off Lucifer from the TV show Lucifer vibes! And then Penelope, the people pleasing elf who just wants to be selfish for once in her life. I loved both of their characters and even loved me some Peter!
Great holiday read for anyone starting out in the monster romance world! Looking forward to reading more by this author!
I loved the first book and this one was good but I won’t lie Krampus was a little annoying at first. The man was so self centered it was ridiculous. I wanted to love him but I had to wait and see if he was redeemable.
I like Penelope loved how she stood on business, and stood up to Krampus when she needed too. I especially enjoyed the jokes she had.
A romance about Krampus, yes please! I liked getting a glimpse of Krampus in Beneath The Monster and then getting to know more in his own story. Want to know what flavor Krampus has to offer? You will have to read it to find out. Hint, it's a type of cake. When you find out that when Krampus was little and went with his father delivering presents that he changed put one for coal. First I was shocked and then I was laughing because of who it was. This was a good holiday read.
I’m not entirely sure why I enjoyed this one more than the first. Maybe because it’s a sequel and the world was already built giving it more background. Maybe it’s because there seemed to be an actual plot to go with the smut of a goal outside the romance. Whatever the case may be, Krampus and Penelope were fun duo to read about.
Such a cute but smexy book! Flavored come! Mmf scene! Honestly a must read! Krampus is a bit of a grumpy cinnamon roll who must step into his father’s place (Santa) as he’s the only one able to open the book of naughty and nice! Follow Penelope and Krampus as they navigate saving Christmas and mingling instant attraction.
While this book was good, I don’t think it compared very well to the first book. This was just an okay read for me. Was sexy at times but felt like it ended abruptly. Interested to see if future books come out and if this couple is mentioned much. It started out strong but just didn’t hit the mark as well as the first one did for me.
Loved the first one but this one was okay. I’m a whore for krampus stories but this one fell a little flat for me. Peter came out of left field. I was constantly feeling confused about where we were. And I had trouble wrapping my head around the whole idea of selfishness. Like I get the sentiment but it was trying to do too much.
If you're looking for a quick little holiday monster romance - this is definitely the series to read!! The characters are entertaining and the smut is on point!! This is actually so well written for the monster romance genre!
I didn’t like the characters in this as much as in the first book, but for a quick holiday read where one of the characters is Krampus, it’s a good quick read.
A bit too much going on IMO The story has potential, but it just felt like there was too much jam packed in it and I feel a case of whiplash coming on.
I genuinely liked this book more than the first which is uncommon! But I felt there was more story to this one and the spice was way heavier! It was a great read!
