She needs a werewolf … and a wedding. Lydia’s inheriting a werewolf pack ... and a vicious bully who wants to take it over. By pack law, only the alpha and their mate can fight a challenger, and Lydia can't take on that monstrous wolf by herself. She needs a mate. Fast. And when she runs into charming wanderer Case, she just might have found what she's looking for.
Case never thought he was the marrying kind. But when a gorgeous stranger marches up to him with the weirdest proposal he's ever heard, something in him can't resist. Sure, becoming a werewolf is dangerous enough even without signing up to help fight for a pack’s survival, but Case has always loved adventure. And Lydia might be the biggest adventure of all.
The one thing neither of them was ready for was falling in love—and realizing they’re mated by fate, not just convenience ….
Zoe Chant loves writing paranormal romance. Over a cup of tea (or something stronger) she whips up sexy tales of hunky heroes and adventurous heroines to tantalize and satisfy her readers. Sizzling hot romance, no cliffhangers!
While series should ideally be read in order, all of Zoe’s books are standalones and can be read in any order. This includes books within series.

Wolf Wanted de Zoe Chant.
Argumento:
Lydia is inheriting a werewolf pack from her grandmother because she is passing away. There is another werewolf that is wanting to take over and he is, of course, not a good guy. Lydia isn't strong enough on her own to take charge of her pact. she finds Case tell him everything and he is down for it, he wants a place to call home when he meets Lydia, it clicks for both of them and they get married and it is very cute.
Combining a marriage of convenience with becoming a werewolf is an interesting setup I haven’t come across before, so my attention was caught immediately. The setup also gave a certain sense of urgency, so there was some tension (but not too much) and a good reason for the characters (and the plot) to keep moving forward.
I really liked Lydia’s strength and determination. She stood up not only for her pack, but on occasion for Case, too. I loved that Case wasn’t just the answer to the immediate problem, but his perspective also had a great deal of value to Lydia and to the pack. Both characters had some nice growth over the course of the story, something that’s always a big plus for me.
It was also lovely to get a MMC who was just an all around good guy. I’ve never really gotten into the book boyfriend thing, because as entertaining these guys are to read about, they’d be just about impossible for me to live with in real life. Case, though…Case I’d take home in a heartbeat, lol.
With engaging characters and a feel-good storyline of good people coming together in the face of a threat, this was the book I didn’t know I needed right now.
I enjoyed this fated mates, marriage of convenience romance with a side of bullying. The story had a good balance of humor, heartwarming love, real life issues, and spice. Lydia is a wolf shifter and the granddaughter of the pack alpha. Hers is a small pack in a small Montana town. Knowing that there is a strong and angry lone wolf waiting to challenge her as alpha as soon as her grandmother dies, she is desperately looking for a solution. Case is a writer who travels from place to place doing construction work. He is drawn to Lydia and agrees to be turned in order to mate her and fight by her side for the pack. The plan includes that he will be free to leave once the challenge is defeated. Of course, feelings rarely stay in the box you try to keep them in and Case and Lydia’s mating begins to feel more real almost immediately. To get to their HEA, there will need to be truth telling, baggage unpacking and leaps of faith all while the MCs are fighting off the bad shifter. This well written story included engaging dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow and a captivating storyline.
I really enjoyed the story. It all started when the old alpha was dying, and Lydia, the new alpha, was challenged by a bad guy. To solve this, she had an ingenious idea (indirectly inspired by the bad guy himself) to have a co-alpha. And that's how we got to the story about not only fighting a bad guy, but also trying to navigate the new relationship she formed with a random guy in a bar. I appreciate how their love story line was written - they were going through the realisations but were not hiding their true feelings for each other for long. It was nice for once to have a "simple" kind of love, fighting for themselves and their whole pack. And that the bad guy was not giving up that easily, yet we got our HEA.
I absolutely love the Zoe Chant collective! Their books are heart warming, often funny, and are always well written. The characters Lydia and Chase have huge personalities. I also love that, unlike other shifter romance books I have read, the wolves also have personalities and really communicate with their human counterpart. It takes the true mate bond to another level in my opinion.
When Lydia realizes that her pack is in trouble, she goes all in when the only help she can find comes from a human. Her bite changes him to a wolf shifter, but he also just happens to be her true mate. Together, they navigate their relationship along with a threat to the pack.
This book is definitely worth reading if you love shifters and happy endings ❤️
a decent story, it could have been cut down to remove excess filler, dragged out the story too much. Trim the fat! It would be a better read. And if you are going to include a mystery story…within the story. You had better give the ending and a finale closure of said story.. that alone knocked off a star. For leaving us in the lurch without proper closure. 3 stars lost two for. Dragging the book out too much , too much filler & fat, then leaving us in the lurch for not giving closure to the story with ing the story . Leaving “shadows” without an ending. Not cool dude! Not cool!
Lydia's in a pickle. Her grandmother - and alpha - is dying, and werewolf law dictates that challenges can take place for Alpha between death and funeral. Reeve, a lone wolf with archaic beliefs is on the fringes waiting for the time to challenge Lydia for Alpha.
Case is a nomad roming the world, when he helps Lydia through a panic attack ... and she decides he may be the answer to her problem.
I really enjoyed this one. Case comes to realize he's reading for HOME, and Lydia has to overcome her extreme burden of becoming Alpha ... and realizing the way things are now ... are not how they have to stay.
I wouldn't put a 'marriage of convenience' as one of my favorite tropes, but this one really worked. When Lydia and Case meet, the attraction cannot be denied. But there is more than their HEA on the line. Case ends up being way more than Lydia ever could have expected. A lover, a friend and her savior. The characters were all great. I would love a few more stories from Mountainview. Excellent read!
Taking a leap of faith was no small act. Case Jackson had plenty of safe options, but he chose to help Lydia protect the folks at Mountainview from an evil bully. As always, Zoe Chant built a vivid world in which the book's characters have the ability to grow as a community. Strong main characters find themselves in dangerous circumstances. Some spicy interludes. Enjoy!
This is not one of this authors best reads, I have read most, I found this very slow, I loved Case and poor Lydia did not have it easy, grandma alpha Ruth was a interesting character she was hard and gruff but she treated the pack like her baby kids. So it made a interesting and original but I found it to slow.would of been nice to have extra friends characters more involved for future books
This was an intense, complex, and intriguing story with many unexpected twists that will hook you from beginning to end. It's a fascinating story that lead two people to one another at the right time in their lives, not knowing that they were actually fated to be together. It's a terrific story. I would definitely recommend this book and outstanding author.
Wolf Wanted by Zoe Chant. Wolf shifter Lydia is alpha in waiting for her pack. Her grandmother is alpha and is dying. Waiting to challenge Lydia for the Alpha position is wolf shifter Reeve, who will rule with fear. In desperation Lydia asks human Case if he will let her change him to a wolf shifter and help her get rid of Reeve. Case agrees, much to Lydia’s surprise and after the change they realise they are fated mates.
This is a fascinating fated mate’s romance, even though it seemed weird that a human would agree to be changed in those circumstances. The pack dynamics were also a bit off, but the characters really made the story, Case is awesome and is definitely the best part of the book
Good story but I am sick to death of every single book now featuring same sex couples. In the real world - not the far left fantasy land - same sex couples are relatively uncommon. It would be extremely difficult for humanity to survive otherwise. Believe it or not, men cannot have babies nor can women produce sperm.
Case Jackson being the greatest man ever and one of the top all time book boyfriends!!! He was just the best on literally every level and perfect😍😍😍 seriously what he did no one would do and he was just so perfect and there's no man like that in the real world sadly haha.
Lydia and Case are 2 great main characters. They flow together well and make you want to read more of the story.
This is another HEA shifter story in the series. I do want to know what happens to Meg though and maybe a glimpse of the moms finding out what their baby boy went through!
This was a fantastic story that had me hooked right from start to finish. I loved Lydia and Case together. The story has action, romance, laughs and surprise twists. I would of liked to read about when they meet his parents but that is very minor and I highly recommend this story.
A great read with a lot of character insights. You get to learn how they think and how much they want to be loved but also how to love another person. My question is what happened to when the fight ended what happened to the other female Meg did l miss a couple of pages or what?
A book with some promising ideas, which it fails to deliver on. The characters are just not fleshed out enough to care about, the romance is utterly unconvincing, the plot is predictable to the last detail by reading the first two pages. At least no grammatical or spelling errors, which in this genre puts it above the median, so two points.
This was a different take of the shifter romances. Case is a human who decides to let Lydia turn him into a werewolf to help save her pack from a hostile takeover bye and unscrupulous and mean loner werewolf. You usually do not hear too much about the turning of someone... I think it was handled well and of course Case's inner Wolf was kickass.
Well written story and well developed characters! The people in this book are so relatable. The story sucks you in and doesn't let go! I love Zoe Chant's books and this one sure doesn't disappoint!
The Alpha is dying and her granddaughter, Lydia, is the Alpha in Waiting. Unfortunately, there is a cruel wolf watching and wanting to take the pack over, and he is larger and much strongerthanLydia, but wouldtear the pack apart!
This was a slow starter and it really mostly dealt with the dynamics of the pack. I did enjoy the whole turning part of the story, but was a bit slow coming to the point.
Different definitely describes this book. It's a great read..marvellous characters. Excellent story line and another Zoe first. I loved it and would love to see more like this.
I really did love this book not only is it my favourite animals but it also has everything else family feuds, alpha challenges and most of all true love can't wait for the next 1
Case and Lydia are a remarkable couple. Their ever shifting relational dynamics transform Mountainview's perspective, and it's an amazing morph from cowardice to courageous.
I liked Case and the way her thought the pack should run. What I don't understand us how the alphas survive if they don't het paid anything yet have to do everything. Where did their money come from? I missed that information. Cheaters deserve Karma!
Great reading again. Zoe's characters are marvelously thought out with a wonderful storyline. Can't wait for the next book. Thanks for the enjoyable reading!
