Hiro Mashima (Jap: 真島ヒロ) is a Japanese manga artist.
He gained success with his first serial Rave, published in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 1999 to 2005. His best-selling work, Fairy Tail, published in the same magazine from 2006 to 2017, became one of the best-selling manga series with over 72 million copies in print. Mashima began the currently ongoing Edens Zero in 2018.
Fairy Tail won the Kodansha Manga Award for shōnen manga in 2009, and Mashima was given the Harvey Awards International Spotlight award in 2017 and the Fauve Special Award at the 2018 Angoulême International Comics Festival.
That scene between Lucy and Aquarius is probably one of the top-3 scenes of the series. One to remember and deserves the 5 stars on its own. Great development for this arc
So, Natsu’s doing the bulk of the fighting and taking the most direct hits, and his clothes, aside from some dirt, are completely fine. Lucy is on the sidelines and takes a couple blows, and her shirt is just shredded? Right...
Anyway, this volume feels like it’s treading water a little with some pretty underwhelming fights and some slightly nonsensical resolutions. (Like the end of Mira’s fight. Really? His single blow was enough to take out an enemy Mirajane couldn’t match? I don’t think so.)
But, similarly to how volume 44 was Wendy’s, 45 is Lucy’s (naturally, her breasts are the focus of an especially bizarre and gross exchange). And it really does sell Lucy’s commitment and resolve through some pretty extreme trials. I’ve always liked her, so I didn’t really need any additional buy-in for her plight, but a moment of sacrifice on her part (that I’d forgotten about) did take me by surprise and delivered a moment of genuine emotion.
This was followed by one of the series’ most bombastic moments, and actually made celestial magic seem potentially useful even at this tier of power, though at a fairly dramatic cost. So, there’s that.
Pd: me siento tan contradictoria :v

😢😢😢😢 Ahhhhhhh! This volume is the saddest story so far!! I couldn’t read the scene that Lucy summoned the king of celestial spirits without crying!! I didn’t expect this happening so I was soooooooo shocked! Definitely, I read this story again and again.
ASPECTOS POSITIVOS - Las peleas.
Non-stop action is the story of the 45th volume of Fairy Tail! Fairy Tail barely scrapes by the victory, but Tartaros unleashes yet another monster: Mard Greer!!! This does remind me of Dragon Ball Super, with tough challenge after tough challenge just keeps coming at our heroes. With virtually the entire guild being swallowed...it's up to one final member to save the day! I will always praise Hiro Mashima's art and storytelling skills! This volume is consistent with the great things you have seen in the previous 44 volumes. I found the cover a bit fan-service friendly...but this entire series has had that all the time. I feel it's been upped a bit more and more as the series continues. I can argue for the first time in the series I start feeling fear of someone not making it thru the volume...and that alone is the emotional response you want from an action series! Great stuff!
