Caught in the heat of one reckless night, I couldn’t resist him. He’s my dad’s best friend, a single dad nearly twice my age. But I'm supposed to find him a wife--not carry his twins.
I’m a professional matchmaker for New York's elite. But my own love life? A total disaster.
I go on a blind date, for research, expecting to meet a stranger. But instead, I’m locking eyes with Adrian Stone - my dad’s best friend. The silver-fox billionaire I’ve fantasized about for years.
We both pretend not to know each other, but that one night leaves my body trembling and my world shaken. Now my dad is forcing me to find Adrian the perfect wife… while I’m hiding I’m pregnant with his twins.
How do I focus on finding him a match when the only woman I want him to choose… is me?
Hp vibes with silver fox in the middle. He’s her father’s friend, he me her when she was 15, now they’ve hooked up ten years later. He’s 45 and she’s 25 but he acts like he’s 15. He doesn’t want to ruin his friendship with her father so he keeps her secret. Until she gets pregnant. She decides to wait to tell him and he claims she lied to him since she didn’t tell him as soon as she finds out. He also reacts like a scared child, ghosting her not once but twice for his own insecurities. Maaaaan. If you want to write about age gap and silver fox he has at least to be mentally adult, not with a brain of a guy half his age. He runs and leave her and is unable to decide if he wants the child or not. They’re twins. So suck it up. And all the drama of him not trusting her and accusing her to deceive him because his first wife was a liar and a cheat. Grow a pair. It could have been ok had the hero not acted like an immature and sulking teenager. Safe to me, they met when she was 15 and he 35, then they met again ten years later. There were no feelings from both sides the first time thank god, she was a kid. Both have had other partners but after meeting again they’re not with anyone else.
I went back and forth on how to rate this. It hovers at 2.5. (Possible spoilers ahead)
Age gaps usually don’t bother me but for some reason, this one did. H is 45. h is 25. The last time he saw her, she was 15. H is BFF with h’s dad. Maybe I would have liked it better if H wasn’t friends with the dad. 🤷♀️
h acted more mature than H. H’s POVs were painful sometimes. He spends a lot of time feeling guilty for lying to his kid. Dude, your kid doesn’t need to know every detail of your life. His big thing is “omission is the same as lying” *hard eye roll* 🙄
h was so stressed about how H was treating her, the poor thing had severe panic attacks. He finds out she’s pregnant and basically breaks up with her all because she didn’t tell him for 2 weeks. Ugh It didn’t even cross his mind that during those 2 weeks he was dealing with some stressful situations involving his company
Then….he accuses her of lying. (They were supposed to tell her dad together that they were in a relationship except somebody told him first. H thought h told him)
He did the bare minimum of grovel. This man has basically called her all kinds of nasty names, caused her to have several panic attacks (one which put her in the hospital) told her he wanted nothing to do with her/baby (but he would support it) and all he has to do is show up at her office and spout some pretty words and she’s falling at his feet.
The epilogue was just weird. The twins are almost 1. They’ve been living on a boat for a month and she wants to stay longer. For some reason, the 9 year old son is watching the twins while they talk. Then he’s feeding one of them. h wants to homeschool the 9 year old. I guess life is good 🤷♀️
Good Read. Ava and Adrian ages are 20 years apart, and they are at different places in life but couldn't resist their strong physical attraction. Aca has had a crush on Adrian since age 15, and it didn't matter to them that he was her father, David's, very close friend. They pretended not to care about societal norms or how their relationship would affect her father or his son. I say preend because they lied and tried to keep their relationship a secret. Of course, this was a big mistake, and the fall-out from the discovery was intense. Though I found some of the plot predictable, I enjoyed the build-up of this story and the growth of the main characters.

This is not the typical trope but I love Mia Mara's work so I gave it a chance... I am so happy I did! I loved the blind date and how they both pretended not to recognize each other. Ava and Adrian had tons of steam and passion. This was a fun book with a good twist of mystery and a couple surprises. Highly recommend anything written by Mia Mara, you will not be disappointed!

I liked the relationship in this one. It felt like it was valid and taboo in a fun way. And surprisingly the accidental twins were pretty low-key on this one. Not sure how they made that happen but go off.
So far, All the books I have read are age gap / silver fox books with a baby "surprise" and they aren't even well written. This is the second one I read by Mia with a dad's best friend trope. Maybe I should actually read the author's note at the end of the book because I do not feel like the author has an editor. If they do, they need a new one. After three or four books with horrible grammatical errors and typos all over the place, I hope they're not paying their current editor.
That being said, the characters are not very interesting in the long run. They're kind of weak-natured on both sides - male/female. It leaves me feeling like I want to throw up my hands and say, "cry me a river."
They're not characters that make you want to escape reality to. I'm very happy when I finish a book because it means I'm done with the characters. In other situations, I never want to end the books because I want more of the characters. That is not the case at all here.
I keep hoping the next book will be better and I keep being disappointed. That's on me I suppose. 🤷🏼♀️

Well, there’s two and a half hours I’ll never get back.
After reading Mara’s holiday book, Accidental Christmas Daddy, which I actually did enjoy, I gave this one a shot. Problem was, neither of the main characters in Accidental Twins was particularly likable, especially the MMC. He basically turns his back on the MFC twice: first, when he wrongly accuses her of going behind his back and telling her father—who’s also his best friend—about their relationship (which they’d formerly agreed to do together since they knew it would upset him) and then again later when, after passing out in his arms during a panic attack (a panic attack that he exacerbated by yelling at her), she tells him she’s pregnant while lying in a hospital bed.
Ok, I totally get that we need a third act break-up, but the man needs to do a hellava lot more groveling than he does to get her back. He basically just hangs his head and says, “I love you.”
But it’s the Epilogue (which in the KU version is not even identified as an epilogue even though it takes place a year and a half later) that left the whole book on a weirdly sour note. Here we find the MMC and the MFC together on a sailboat with their now one-year old twins (plus her ten-year-old stepson) sailing off the Amalfi coast (Italy, had to look that one up). She’s reading a book, and hubby has to drag her away from it to tell her again how much he loves her. (Must be tough cruising off the Italian coast and being interrupted from your reading to actually enjoy the scenery and your love-smitten husband.) Then dad asks the ten-year-old to check on the babies while mom asks whether they could just homeschool him because she doesn’t want to go back to NYC. (Ok, like she’s gonna teach him 5th grade history and math on the boat??) Oh, and when one of the babies starts squawking, dad—who comments that he can’t tell the twins apart from this distance (which begs the question, how big is this boat and how far away are they? Also, dude, you seriously can’t tell your kids apart? Maybe get a vasectomy?)—asks the ten-year-old to feed them. Sooo . . . Lol, do these people parent at all?
Idk, sounds like an unhappy ending with the titular twins putting a significant dent into mummy’s and daddy’s me-time.
“He sat there in his black suit, his tie slightly too loose, his white shirt fully on display under his unbuttoned jacket. He lounged against the back of the sofa, his arms out on either side, his legs crossed at the knee. Salt and pepper hair was styled back and out of his face, save for a single clump that didn’t seem to want to do what it was told. But it was how he looked at me that absolutely demolished me.”
This says everything. Adrian is the epitome of a silver fox. In spades. Ava is his best friend’s daughter. In a case of hidden identity (mistaken doesn’t fit this situation), they have a tension-filled date that ends with a tryst on his boat. They both leave knowing it can’t happen again.
It’s all semi-okay until her father, Adrian’s best friend wants her to take him on as a client to find him a wife. Could things get any more screwed up? Don’t ask. The answer is yes. She’s pregnant. With twins.
What can I say about this book? Mia Mara is a master at age gap silver fox romances. She manages to get the exact mix of elements to make them steamy, sexy, illicit and downright delicious. Adrian is the epitome of a silver fox and even more yummy because he’s a single dad.
There are moments that were nearly painful because they could not be together. Other moments were blissful because they had a moment or two that was totally meant to be. I am a huge fan of Mia Mara and her books never leave me disappointed. She nails it every single time.

She is out of college, recently moved back to the city to open her matchmaking business. She is going out on dates for market research, when her date for the day ends up being someone she knows. Someone she has had a crush on for years. Adrian, her father's best friend. She thinks he doesn't recognize her and lets herself enjoy what she knows will never happen again. He is a successful business man and her father's friend, with a young son at home, he recognizes her and how taboo this is, but is powerless to stop himself. They know it can't continue. They know it has to stop. When her father insists that she help him find a mother for his son, they are thrust back together. This had decent character development, you had a strong sense of each of the mains as well as their personalities and vulnerabilities. They had great chemistry that got you from the beginning. There is family and business drama that they have to navigate to get to their HEA. It is worth it.

Just when they finally admit to what they want Ava learns that she is pregnant and isn't sure how to tell him. Can they finally admit to what they want? Will her father come between them?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.
This book was pretty good. The emotional connection was great, and I could feel what they were for the most part.
Editing-wise, there were a few big issues that definitely should have been caught. There was a new paragraph and sentence that were not capitalized. I couldn't wrap my head around it long enough to remember if the sentence was broken up, or what. Another thing had a misspelling. A sentence began with Ggod. As this was during a mental breakdown of one of the people, it wasn't as bug of an issue for me, since it fit itself right into the messed up frame of mind.
I like that she didn't take him back right away when he apologized after he messed up, but it felt like he just apologized one more time and she jumped back with him. I think more should have been done.
Last, that last chapter should really have been labeled as the epilogue, and the time jump provided. I was a bit confused for a minute.
I don't think I will read the other book in this series, but this one was enjoyable enough.
I love a good taboo romance, and Accidental Twins delivers on all fronts. This story hits so many of my favorite tropes—father’s best friend, age gap, and a surprise pregnancy—all wrapped into one addictive read.
The forbidden aspect of their love, with the hero being the best friend of the heroine’s father, added a layer of excitement to their connection. The age gap made their dynamic even more intriguing, and the surprise pregnancy twist was the cherry on top—keeping me hooked from start to finish.
Mia Mara did a fantastic job creating characters and a romance that had me rooting for them despite all the obstacles. Their passion and bond were so strong, and I loved watching their relationship develop.
If you enjoy a steamy, forbidden romance with plenty of emotions, Accidental Twins is definitely a must-read. I absolutely loved this story and these two characters together—they're the kind of couple that sticks with you long after you’ve turned the last page.
Mia Mara never disappoints me with her storyline. This book is no exception. Ava has crushed on Adrian since she was a teenager. There are twenty years of age difference between them. They reconnect because of a dating app both using aliases. Both recognize each other but don’t admit to it. They have a very steamy connection. One that neither can deny but they sure try. This is the beginning of their very complicated journey to love and commitment. There are several barriers they have to overcome such as lies, betrayal and sabotage. It is interesting how the characters are built and develop during this storyline. It kept me very invested in their story and anxious to see how they will grow together. I love the way Ava connects to his son and how he connects with her. It appears to be love at first sight for them. I would give this book more than 5 stars if possible.

I enjoyed Ava and Adrian’s story. I loved that this was a little bit of a forbidden romance, a dad’s friend age gap romance. Like I always say age is just a number! Starting up a matchmaking business comes with surprises, some good and some bad. When Ava goes on a blind date never did she expect to meet Adrian, one of her father’s friends that she’s crushed on forever. Both using aliases neither were sure if the person in front of them was who they were thinking they were. Yep, it’s a I think I know you, but… When one thing leads to another, the one rule she has is not to sleep with him, but that all goes out the window, because you know she’s crushed on him for years. There are some twists and turns with their relationship, especially keeping all this a secret from her father, who will undoubtedly lose his mind when he finds out. I really enjoy this author's writing and so happy I saw this pop up on BookSprout.
Accidental Twins is a contemporary romance that’s finds MFC Ava who is trying to start a professional matchmaker business going on a blind date for market research with a man who doesn’t remember her or seen her in ten years. Her fathers best friend and teenage crush, silver fox billionaire, MMC Adrian Stone. Oh what a tangled web we weave!
Needless to say during the date he finally realizes who she is but doesn’t let on. The two have a strong attraction for each other and one thing leads to another as do the complications that will follow, an unexpected pregnancy being one. This was a nicely written story filled with family dynamics, corporate intrigue, and passion, as this emotional roller coaster of forbidden love unravels across the pages. Another entertaining read in the Unintentionally Yours series!.

This is a great age-gap story about Adrian & Ava. He’s a widower with a young son who is best friends with Ava’s dad. She’s had a crush on him since she was 15 yrs. old. She goes on a blind date, under an alias name, meeting her date who just so happens to be Adrian, also using an alias name. They both pretend they don’t know each other & have their first best date night. They’re playing with fire as once her dad finds out his best friend is messing around with his daughter, he’ll be a dead man according to Adrian.
There are hurdles for them to overcome & he risks so much by being with her on a personal level. Ava’s crush hasn’t subsided. In fact it has bloomed into a bonfire of love. Adrian realizes he can lose her by his actions. Will he be able to fix his mess & will they be able to trust each other once again? Another good story by Mia Mara to read!

This is the second book I.ve read of the silver fox series. Although a good read its lacking in details. In both stories things move on with no information how much time as passed you no idea of ages of anyone . These kind of details are needed. Also ava forgave to quickly. It went from I aint sure if things can be fixed to next minute all forgiven. Then they married and babies are god knows how old. These details need to be improved. Not sure if I would read another book from same writer. Details details details is a must . Also if your doing a epilogue always state a yr later ect. Also the story doesn't flow due to these details. One part I had to go back because I was sure I missed a part as it didnt make no sense what so ever. You ended the one chapter and the nect was like a missing chapter was missing story doesn't flow. Plus everyone is just a bit to nice
The conflict was resolved too quickly with just a pretty speech, hundreds of promises to do better and a couple of sorrys.
Nothing new with this age gap book. Just a grown ass man, being 20yrs older (45), having one of the most immature brain and berating and blaming a younger woman (25) for his unresolved trauma. Mind you, the FMC was pregnant with his child when he did and said what he said. Not to mention, this woman quite literally had panic attacks after panic attacks for fear of adding stress to the MMC when she found out she was pregnant. Only consolation is that the FMC wasn’t a virgin. Low bar, but that’s the state of books these days.
I believe that for an age gap to work, both parties must have the power. Not just the older (usually a man) character setting all the rules, the pace, the are-they-broken-up-or-not decisions.
Great read, will keep you reading until the last chapter.
A teenage girl’s crush evidently lead her to the love of her life. Adrain had lost his wife two years before going on a date with a young woman twenty-three years younger than him but she was also his best friend’s daughter. Ava love life was lacking a lot of excitement and her dad was meddling in her life. She went on a date with a that had provided a different name just like her but when they met at the museum, they realized they knew each other. There date led them to spending the night with each other. So many complications and one of the board members to his company was trying to sabotage him and take his company. Beautiful love story of two people finally finding the love of their lives. I recommend reading this book.
I adore Mia Mara’s writing, but seriously — is the concept of safe sex that hard to write? I mean, come on! I loved this couple, genuinely. Their relationship unfolded in such a cute and overwhelming way that I couldn't help but root for them. Honestly, it was even better than some of the other couples in this series, and that’s saying something.
But here’s the thing: I’m so over the ‘unexpected pregnancy’ plot twist. Like, I know it’s a trope, but must it be in EVERY. SINGLE. BOOK? And can we get an MMC who doesn’t turn into a full-on jerk the moment he hears the word ‘pregnant’? Can we have one that stays chill and not, you know, transform into a walking red flag? I liked the book, I really did. They had chemistry, and the romance was swoon-worthy. But seriously, a sane, non-insecure MMC who isn’t a complete disaster would be chef’s kiss for me.
I quite enjoyed this book until literally the last few chapters but mainly the last one. Ava went from 15 weeks pregnant to the twins are about to have a birthday.
Excuse me? We went from we will tell Lucas together to oh he's 10 now, we are sailing to different places and the twins are going on i assume one. No explanation, just one chapter ends and the next one starts and we have skipped 6 months of pregnancy, informing Lucas he was going to have siblings and working together to repair the bumps in the relationship.
I don't mind an epilogue jumping a year, 2 years or even 10 years but that last chapter wasn't even stated as an epilogue. There's zero explanation on how Adrian's company is after the Andrew mess, nothing on Ava's match making or did she focus on painting? Just too much skipped over for my liking for this to be a full 3 - 4 stars like I figured it would be.

This is my second book of Mia’s I have read. She is amazing. She is able to move you with her words and wrap you up into the story. It’s amazing! Each emotional upheaval you will experience. It’s emotional, lust filled, passionate, hot and scorching. It’s forbidden, but will that be enough for them to stop? The main characters are so perfect for the story. Adrian is successful and just looking for a mother for his son. Ava is just starting out in her business and really without knowing it just wants to be loved. Something happens that shouldn’t and then it’s figuring out the next course of action. An excellent story. So good!.

Accidental Twins is a Silver Fox Dad’s Best Friend Romance story. Accidental Twins follows the story of Ava and Adrian. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this fantastic romance story. I couldn’t get enough of Ava and Adrian’s amazing story, I thought their story to be entertaining, enjoyable to read, well-written, well-balanced, and perfectly executed by author Mia Mara. Author Mia Mara is starting to become one of my new favorite authors to read. Accidental Twins is a captivating age-gap kind of a romance story. I would certainly recommend this book for anyone to read.

WOW this book blew me away and is really an amazing read. The characters Adrian (John) and Ava (Lily) are absolutely perfect and even though this is a dad's best friend age gap romance book it had me all tongue tied and twisted up like a pretzel due to the chemistry they share together with some really BIG SURPRISES. This book by Mia is not only a 10-star read but you will be seeing the best seller banner for this book due to the suspense it has. I would be crushing on Adrian as well if he looks anything like the silver fox stud on the cover just don't tell my husband I said that. :).
The attraction between the leads, Ava & Single dad, Adrian was undeniable, yes there was a 20yr gap, but the chemistry made up for it. He was hot! (& the fact Ava had been attracted to her dads best friend for absolute years,) well this caused the story to become an insta-love of sorts, with all the spice & feels. These 2 went up in flames, the pregnancy made for a cute HEA. I really enjoyed their sweet story, and devoured the book once I started it.

Adrian pretending to be someone else goes to a date with someone he meet on a dating app and here he meets Ava that as him was pretending to be Lily; and it turns out that they knew each other as he is Ava's father friend. Really spicy and there were moments that I was mad with them. In short this is a very interesting read with no cheating, gorgeous mature main character, lots of spicy scenes and a HEA. Mature readers only!.

This was a good book! There was some spice but it was mostly focused on the storyline and all the other things going on. Adrian and Ava were so great together and then her relationship with Lucas was so genuine and everything. You could feel the love and everything. There was a third act breakup but i felt like there could have been more groveling but there was groveling so I can see it. Then Adrian going to David to tell him that he loved Ava and showing him proof of how he flit the photos and why was great. I respected that there was proof and not only just words of how it happened.

I loved this and read it in about 12 hours. I just kept turning the pages hungry for what came next. There was nothing revolutionary about the plot: age gap, dad’s best friend, accidental pregnancy, etc. All pretty formulaic, really, but I think the characters themselves are what drew me in. I loved the false identities, the travel photographer and artist, I loved the gallery day and the boat… the characters were people I would want to know. They were leading a life I could have seen myself leading. It was a sweet book with a happy ending. Emotional and relatable.
