"I may not survive the implant, but my brothers will live and live free." He leaned in as close as he could without touching the glass and looked down. "And know this, you fucking prick. Before I die, I will be the one to put you into the ground."

This book was Epic! The perfect ending for the Dean brothers!!! Total Surrender gave me everything I needed. Jory Dean has awoken up from being in a coma for 2 years after being shot. Now he has to escape his prison cell at the secret military compound that he is being held at by the Commander . He has to get free and deactivate the kill chip in his brothers spines. He knows his is damaged and that he will die, but if it's the last thing he does, he will save his brothers. He will even kidnap the beautiful woman, who has been brought in to try to fix his kill chip. He burns for Piper , but she thinks he is evil , and she is the Commander's daughter. But that won't stop a dead man from having just a taste of heaven.

Jory:

Jory was just damn sexy. Everything about him was hott. He had so many sides to him. He was computer geeky, Super soldier, dominant sexy caveman, and light hearted little brother. I loved me some Jory. Perfect man!!!!

"One taste, Piper. Before I die, one taste of you. I'm not going to heaven, but maybe I could have a taste before I go."

"If I could, I'd spend every second of every day keeping you safe and warm. Totally loved without one concern." Still connected inside her, still pulsing, he breathed deep and leaned down to kiss her tear away. "Baby I'll always love you."

"I can't offer you forever, Pipe. But I learned the hard way when I was young that life is full of moments, and if you get a good one, take it."

Piper:

 photo tumblr_m20wcdV7hp1qbz5eyo1_500_zpsikl9vegm.png

Piper was awesome. Little miss sexy computer hacker had tons of sassy attitude. She was smart, and brave, but she had a sweet , naive vulnerability to her. She really wanted to have a relationship with her dad. She had a big heart and a cute personality.

"Fuck you, Jory. You fucking asshole of a cold-blooded soldier traitor son of a bitch." The words started to flow together so rapidly she lost track of verbs. " You are all robot- not even fucking human. You don't feel a thing, you sociopathic dickhead."

"Yes. I'm the hero of my own damn story, Jory Dean. Protect me all you want, but this once, I'm needed with you. War or not."

"That darkness you try to hide so well? That keeps us safe and protected. It's time to stop worrying about whether you're good or not. You're great."

 photo jory and piper_zpsliykg9yv.jpg

This book was action packed. The story grabbed me and kept me on the edge of my seat. Jory and Piper together are smokin' hott! The Dean brother's reunion had me in tears, like a sappy lil girl. GOD do I love those brothers! All of them are so damn sexy . I wanna collect em all!!!!! Total Surrender kept me guessing, had me laughing, crying , breaking out in a happy dance and over all just made me feel good. What a perfect ending to a freakin Awesome Series! I love Rebecca Zanetti. I may have said that once or twice, but for real I freakin love her!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Below I leave my favorite moment in the book:

"Well, that's, well-" She sputtered. "You're both assholes." "Yep." Nate sauntered through the room. "You're not the first one to make that remark. Josie, Shane's wife, held a gun on me once." Jory blinked. "She did?" "Yep." Nate grinned. "Come to think of it, Laney, Matt's woman, held a Glock on me once, too." He chuckled. "Good thing Piper doesn't have a gun." Piper sputtered, looking from Nate to Jory and back. "You guys aren't bonding over this Neanderthal code, are you?" Nate's gaze warmed as he looked at his brother. "Nope. We bonded decades ago, as solid as can be. Right, Jory?" "Right." Jory grinned back. "I wish I could've seen them hold a gun on you." "Good times, and we'll make more in the future."

I am going to miss this series!!!

Epic…what a beautiful ending to this great series!!!

I fell in love with Jory……
 photo 78c9e5e18d5aa6fa1fa473e546d2185a_zpsn7jdm9tx.jpg
. The pain, torture and loneliness he has felt are beyond belief…but he has not given up in destroying the people that caused so much anguish to him and his brothers. After being in a coma for 2 years he awakes with incredible powers than he had before.
As he tells…..
“Because I'm a fucking killing machine, and you're a sweet little hacker who likes to flirt with danger. Baby, I am danger."

The sweet little hacker is Piper Oliver….what an unexpected and totally unbelievable connection she has to the Dean Brothers!!! Hell, was I more than surprised!!
She’s working for the Commander in trying to find a new code to detonate the chips implanted in the Dean Brothers….he has a very secret and very evil plan in his latest shenanigans!!!
Piper may be a brilliant computer geek, a gorgeous one at that…
 photo 0abdd8e2f1a2debcdf3e93c69afb3f99_zpsfecaroap.jpg
She’s so starved to make her just discovered father love her that at times, she’s blinded by that acceptance. She also shows a lovely and caring side that is really nice. But soon she will have to make a decision. Who can she trust? Who is telling the truth and who is lying to her?
“Jory gripped her chin, turning her to face him. His jaw hardened, and he tried to remain gentle. “Time to make a choice, sweetheart. Please. Choose me.”
I adored Jory & Piper together. The sexual tension and chemistry and love were really beautiful… photo tumblr_mld6qiWxc11so4tv9o1_400_large_zpsihcm4bzr.gif
Finally, all four brothers together!!! The love and bond between them is beyond amazing…
 photo download_zpslqlitlpz.jpg
The Dean’s family dynamics at the end is truly inspiring and absolutely lovely and really sweet.
 photo images_zpskqejtpgn.jpg

“No more fucking good-byes. I am so done with that shit and with all of us sacrificing our lives. We’re fucking done, and we’ll all fucking live. The first guy who tells me good-bye ever again, even if he’s just going to the fucking grocery store, gets a fist planted in his fucking face.”
A new revelation about the Dane brothers at the end – are we going to get more Dane Brothers in the future?????

In the meantime, I am going to check out some more books by this author!!!

There was a demand in the way he touched her, in the way he kissed. One she should run the hell away from, if she had any sense of self-preservation. The sexy soldier wanted everything she had to give, and she knew better.

It's been almost a year since I finished Blind Faith and not once in my months of waiting has my anticipation for this book even slightly diminished. If anything, with every month I came closer to finally getting my hands on Jory's story I just got more and more excited. So with anticipation like that, a girl builds up some high hopes that would be practically impossible to live up to, right? Well, maybe if you're anyone BUT Rebecca Zanetti it may have been. But she managed to finish off the series with a hell of a punch that will only leave you begging for more. In short, I loved it!
What are you doing?"
"Picking up your challenge." Smooth as silk, his lips brushed her cheek. "Didn't you think I would?"
"No...I, ah, didn't."
"That was your first mistake." His voice rumbled so close to her ear, the tenor vibrated just under her skin. Oddly, soft, and intriguingly gentle.
"Wh-What was my second?"
"I'm hoping you make that soon."

Jory Dean is the youngest Dean brother that has been thought dead by his brothers after they saw a video of him being shot in the chest. Although almost two years have passed, even when his brothers were fighting for their own lives, they never forgot him or stop digging into the events that led up to his death. This all came to a head in the last book where finally a video surfaced that show the possibility that the shots that went through Jory's chest may not have been fatal.

Unbeknownst to his 3 brothers, Jory spent the last 2 years in a coma inside the very military facility that they had escaped from all those years ago. Back in the evil grasp of the commander, Jory spends his days locked in a cell while a beautiful computer hacker attempts to save his life by accessing the kill chip that's embedded in his spine that has been damaged in his shooting.

Piper Oliver is a talented young hacker. Working for a facility that she believes does good, she's attempting to do the job she's been hired for while a man with gray eyes and an intense presence seems to steal her every thought. It soon becomes clear that everything that Piper had once believed may not quite be as black and white as she thought. The enemy that she believes she's fighting against may just be her only ally and the one person she believed had her best interest at heart just may be the biggest threat to her life.
All intelligence and masculinity rolled up into an explosive package.
The possibility of that explosion, of that detonation, had been hinted in him since the beginning.
She knew, without a doubt, that was the exact characteristic of his that attracted her. She wanted to detonate with him.
God help them both.

Total Surrender was an explosive, action-packed and super sexy final installment in the series. Piper and Jory burned up the pages together. What starts as the bantering between two enemies soon begins to turn into something so much more. When Jory provides Piper with more and more proof that he's telling the truth, Piper knows that she has no other choice but to help the man that she's slowly but surely finds herself falling for.

A week with a Dean brother is like a year with anybody else. You know. With the shooting, the espionage, the fighting for their lives.

I loved the reunion between the brothers that has been 4 books in the making. There was not one dull moment in the entire book. It was an entertaining, non-stop ride from beginning to end.

I loved getting more of the other 3 couples from the series. It was so great getting their own final pieces of HEA at the end of the book. Of course it's not all cut and dry, and Miss Zanetti definitely leaves just enough room for a possible (or I'm hoping) spin-off. While she gives you just enough answers and conclusion to satisfy, she also gives you that much more question to whet your appetite for more. I really hope to see a spin-off series with secondary characters that were introduced here. I won't tell you who, since it'll spoil the experience, but let's just say the set up is absolutely perfect.

While Total Surrender is perfectly written so you'd be able to enjoy it as a standalone, I'd highly recommend reading this series in order to truly appreciate the story and all the characters.

4.5 TOTALLY AMAZING STARS

I've been waiting on this final book about the youngest Dean brother for what seems like forever and boy, this one didn't disappoint! Jory's story was one action-packed steamy escapade and the reunion between these four fine, hot men was AWESOME. This girl wishes there was more!!

In this book, we finally meet Jory, the youngest of the four Dean brothers and also the one presumed dead by his siblings. Jory has been held captive for 2 years by the Commander and it's now a week until the kill chips at the base of the Dean brothers' spines detonate.

 photo TS_zpskajfhrha.jpg

The Commander brings in a young hacker extraordinaire, Piper, to work on bringing Jory's chip back online (it was damaged when he was shot). Piper quickly finds herself caught in the middle between the Commander and Jory, and she has no clue who to trust.

Of course, the chemistry between Jory and Piper is HOT and despite what the Commander says, Piper can't help but get pulled in by this hot, sexy lethal killing machine of a man.

This book was non-stop action and getting to see the brothers unite was pure bliss! I loved how in the previous books, each brother, Matt, Shane and Nate, longed for and thought of Jory as the little brother. But, when we finally get to meet Jory, there is nothing little about him. Jory is ALL. MAN.

Loved Jory's caveman ways and demanding words. Even with her sass and attitude, Piper didn't stand a chance.

"I love you, Piper. All of you. The smart, the sweet, the lost. Everything you are and whoever you'll eventually become."

"I love you, Jory Dean. the tough, the sweet, and definitely the geek."

Another get treat was getting to have the brothers, their mates and others all together. It was great to have some time with each couples. I just love all the Dean brothers...

"A week with a Dean brother is like a year with anybody else. You know. With the shooting, the espionage, the fighting for their lives and the great sex...don't forget the over the top, excellent, many times over...sex."

While this was the end, there were some surprises that could potentially mean more for the Dean brothers. I know, you can't blame a girl for hoping!

"One taste, Piper. Before I die, one taste of you. I'm not going to heaven, but maybe I could have a taste before I go."

 photo Total Surrender Casting.jpg

What a ride! Total Surrender was the fourth and final installment in this Sin Brothers romantic suspense series. If you've been reading this series, you know that Jory is the elusive Dean brother who has been presumed dead this whole time. But there was the question of the video that Shane saw where he could've sworn that he saw Jory blink. It was a complete long shot, but none of the guys have been able to accept his brother's death ever since.

Total Surrender begins with Jory, very much alive, and in holding in a cell by the commander. At this point, we have just over a week until the infamous and DEADLY chips detonate, killing all of the brothers. Yeah, to say that this is an angsty read is putting it very lightly!!! I was dying the whole time and couldn't read fast enough!!

Piper is the sexy hacker that the commander brings in to try to figure out the algorithm that will provide them with the needed code in order to deactivate Jory's chip, at least...since none of the other brothers are there.

The story kind of has an enemies to lovers quality to it because when Piper initially meets Jory, she isn't a fan. Piper is a true patriot at heart, something that the commander knows and has chosen to exploit, therefore filling Piper's head with lies about how Jory has committed serious crimes against his country.

 photo TS Teaser1.jpg

I have loved all of these Dean brothers, but I think that Matt and Jory are my favorites. Jory is a fierce protector, ready to lay down his life for the sake of his brothers. He's also a bit of a computer geek which begins to speak to the inner geek in Piper before too long too!

These two have some crazy sexual tension going on before very long at all. And in, what has now become typical Zanetti fashion, the steam does not disappoint. However, I don't know if it was the whole, I have less than a week to live thing but when there was some sexy time, I felt like I couldn't really enjoy it. I wanted to dive into the book and tell them to put it back in their pants. They had lives to save!!

 photo TS Teaser2.jpg

My only complaint here is that the last 25% or so seemed rushed to me. I stated this in my review for Blind Faith, but I wish that Zanetti wouldn't have left all of the plot resolution for the fourth book. It just set her up for this, in my opinion, because there was soooo much that needed to happen in this final installment.

And again, even given the sci-fi twist, a few things seemed especially OTT to me. For example Hmmm, a bit much for me.

To me, my fave of this entire series will always be Matt's book, Sweet Revenge!! I thought the pacing and believability in that one, totally hit the mark.

 photo TS Teaser3.jpg

I did absolutely LOVE finally getting to see the brothers reunite. And I also loved the very end, and how we got a little piece of all four brothers' HEAs! The author leaves this series in a very good place. I was very satisfied with the ending, however, it does leave a small opening with potential for more. ;)

If you're a hardcore romance reader like me but like to switch it up every once in a while, I highly recommend this series. One of the best romantic suspense authors out there.

Jory Dean is the youngest of the Dean Brothers. He was thought to be dead since the beginning of this series. When it was finally revealed that he was in fact alive, I could not wait to dive right in. He has been a prisoner of Dr. Madison and the Commander’s for the entire time. Jory’s brothers are hard at work in trying to save him. But time is running out, as a there is only a week left until the chips implanted by their spines detonates causing all of them to die. Unfortunately an incident that put him into a coma, is what caused his chip to disconnect. The Commander needs Jory’s chip back online so he brings in his daughter, and hacker genius, to help him.

When Piper sees Jory for the first time, he is in a cell. The Commander feeds her lies as to why Jory is held there, and since Piper is over the moon that her father seeked her out and wants her help, she believes him. The more time she spends with Jory trying to work her way to his chip, the more she starts to doubt everything her father tells her. Jory is a smoking hot alpha, just like the rest of his brothers. So, I can’t blame her for not being able to resist this badass fighter. Meanwhile, Jory has accepted his fate and knows he will most likely die. That doesn’t mean he won’t do anything in his power to save his brothers Matt, Shane, and Nate. He needs Piper’s help, so he tries to convince her. She gets stuck in the middle not know what to believe. All Jory wanted was some assistance, he never imagined he would end up falling for the Commander’s daughter.

This book was a crazy suspenseful ride. I had a real hard time putting this one down. There was some great action, some awesome angsty moments, and of course some scorching hot romance. I loved it! I loved having all the brothers together in this final book. I loved the fast pace of it all, which is what I have come to expect from this series. I loved Jory! He was so damn sexy, I mean, seriously! Overall, I was very pleased with the conclusion of this series. I love the Dean Brothers and I will miss them. I loved the ending, especially the bits we get of how each brother is doing. It was really heartwarming. If you have yet to read this romantic suspense series, than I highly recommend this one!

Jory Dean ... oh how I have waited for this story! We were uncertain of his status for the majority of the first three books in the series. Dead ... or alive? Well ... (not so) spoiler alert ... he's alive. Very, very alive.
Being the youngest of the brothers hasn't weakened him in any way - in fact, I'd say just the opposite. This man is crazy deadly. And super freakin' hot.

Like the rest of the series, this book is full of action and suspense. And sexual tension. Lots of sexual tension. The build up to Jory & Piper's encounter(s) is slow and burning ... maybe a little too slow? But when they finally get together ... Wow!

There were a few twists and surprises to this one ... I would have liked a little less of the mental tension and a little more action ... But overall a satisfying ending to a really great series.

4 - "Thank you for being my brothers." Stars!

Rebecca Zanetti, is one of the few authors that I have on my Drop Everything & Read list. Reason being, and the reason I have read every book that she has published to date:

She. Never. Disappoints.

Not once, I cannot think of a book by this author that I have finished and not loved, the only disappointment I ever feel is in the fact that I have inevitably then have to wait for her next release.

”Even the smallest lion can have a big roar.”

Jory Dean at the beginning of the Sin Brothers Series was dead, his brothers Shane, Mattie and Nate were forging on with their lives and trying to keep out of the Commander and Dr. Madison’s crosshairs, whilst trying to resolve the issue of what was essentially the fact that their bodies had been turned into ticking time bombs.

Matt was fierce.
Nate was constant.
Shane was pissed.

As the books progress and his brothers meet their women along the way, it becomes apparent that what was initially thought of as a recording of him being shot and killed may not be the full story…

”I’m not going to heaven, but maybe I could have a taste before I go.”

Total Surrender has been a book a long time in the making for most readers of this series, as soon as I knew there was potential for Jory being alive I wanted his story. This book is also the climax of the series as a whole, his brothers although settled in one sense with their hearts and their women, are still seeking the closure for their years of abuse and mistreatment at the hands of the Commander and Dr. Madison as well as looking for a way to remove issue of the microchips that are counting down the hours until their demise.

Jory is still in captivity at the beginning of the book, and comes into contact with Piper Oliver due to her mad-skillz on the computer hacker; she’s been recruited and is being used for those skills, as well as the start of this book offering a slow burn to the chemistry that gradually builds between them, especially while Jory is still being held captive. Piper has been fed one story by the Commander, while Jory attempts to convince her of the truth and what follows is more twists and turns that you could draw a cohesive map for.

”Bad guys shouldn’t look like you.”

I loved it, as a reader you go through one hell of a lot of emotions with this one. If you have followed this series from the beginning like I have the Dean Brothers have almost become part of the family. I laughed, and ohmygod did I cry, the emotions that have built up for these guys through the reading of the last three books really did come to the fore in Total Surrender and at points I actually had to put my Kindle down so I could have a little bit of an emotional melt down. But it was so good, I had my heart ripped out, re-inserted and restarted all in the reading of it.

I don’t want to give too much more away of the story if I am honest, if you have ever read a book by Rebecca Zanetti, you will understand just how much happens and can change within the space of a page or two. Pick up the book and enjoy the ride, you won’t be disappointed. This book offers resolutions, answers questions, raises new ones, gives you solutions to issues that have been prevalent throughout the previous books, you get endings, new beginnings and pretty much everything in between.

”Life is full of moments, and if you get a good one, take it.”

This book, the series, its characters and their stories are definitely a ’Good Moment’ for me, and I am sad to say goodbye. I hope it isn’t the end, as I said there are a few new beginnings in the pages as well, and a couple of loose ends that although not pivotal I would like to see tied up. I also think the epilogue for all four brothers offers the reader more of a ‘Happy For Now’ and it could definitely be extended to at least a novella to give us their ‘Happily Ever Afters’…

”I wish we had forever.”

After waiting almost a year, we finally got Jory's book. I mean we read about him two years ago when he was first mentioned in Forgotten Sins as the MIA brother who they suspected was murdered. Of course that isn't so, and this is not even a spoiler.

But the mystery surrounding the missing Jory had been speculated since Book 1 and continue throughout the series. Finally we are getting some answers!

The heroine, Piper came in the form of a skilled hacker employed by the evil Commander to help remove Jory's kill-chip because the Commander can't just let his 'creation' die. You know since Sweet Revenge, we knew the brothers only have 6 weeks to live unless they remove the chip in time. I can't believe I spent more than a year waiting for their 6 weeks to take place.

In the beginning, Piper was lead to believe that Jory was a traitor, thus she was having a hard time believing that Jory was innocent. Piper real identity also came as a surprise and resulting in a quite a delicate situation between her and the brothers.

I felt the romance was done just alright due the limited time they had shared. From the time they met until the climatic ending, they only have one week left before the kill-chip detonation. Is hard to make it into the kind of epic love like Nate and Audrey. Therefore, in my opinion compare to the rest of the brothers, I think Jory had a weaker romance plot.

To me, the highlight of The Sin Brothers series are always the fast pacing plot, action-packed, suspense, romance and the camaraderie among the Dean brothers. The major draw for me is always the brothers, especially when they blow things up together. They are all so badass. I know, is confusing why the series is called Sin Brothers, but in actuality they are the Dean brothers.

Honestly, I thought this is the last book of the series. But apparently Rebecca is gearing for more or maybe a spin-off. I'm not sure whether I like the similar direction that the author seems to do going for. Since I had finished all 4 books according to sequence, I shall gladly declare that I love Blind Faith featuring Nate's story the most.

The Dean Brothers: “Never alone.”

4.5 badass, action packed stars

I have been eagerly waiting for the release of this book – the final in the Sin Brothers series, and the conclusion to an absolutely epic story full of action, adventure, suspense and, of course, romance.

The Dean brothers (as they call themselves) were genetically engineered to be super soldiers. Conceived in a laboratory, trained to be hard core killers, and possessing heightened senses and abilities that only enhance their skills, the four boys clung together, doing everything they could to survive while under the control of a sociopathic Commander. The four boys blew up the compound and escaped five years ago, and ever since they have been fighting to protect each other and secure a safe future for them and their loved ones.

Although each of the books focuses on a different brother, it is essential to read them in order. There is an overarching storyline that runs through the whole series, with each book gaining momentum towards this, the final instalment. And it gave me everything I wanted!

Jory, the youngest of the brothers has, up until now, been presumed dead. Instead he has been through hell, and is now being held captive by the Commander at yet another top secret compound. He has regained his strength, completely focussed and motivated by the driving need to get back to his family and save his brothers from a ticking time bomb that threatens all of their lives.

Piper is an expert hacker. She has been brought in by the Commander in an attempt to see if she can repair Jory’s “kill chip”- a device planted near the spines of each of the brothers that is set to kill them in 7 days if the correct codes can’t be found to disable and remove them. Pressure!

Jory and Piper’s beginning is turbulent. Piper believes he is a traitor and a criminal and has been warned about his powers of persuasion so she does her best to ignore him. While Jory brushes aside his immediate attraction to her, seeing her as not only the way to help him with his chip, but also as his way out of his imprisonment. Add to that the mad chemistry between them, and it’s all on!

“I’m a fucking killing machine, and you’re a sweet little hacker who likes to flirt with danger. Baby, I am danger.”

Piper has her own motivations for working at the compound, and when things don’t seem to add up she has to dig deeper to find out what she is actually involved in. And as she slowly starts to learn more, she finds her very life in danger, and her head and her heart are constantly battling as she tries to uncover the truth. And the more time she spends with Jory, the clearer that battle becomes.

Jory gripped her chin, turning her to face him. His jaw hardened, and he tried to remain gentle. “Time to make a choice, sweetheart. Please. Choose me.”

The romance builds really nicely and even though the story is fast paced, it still feels like there is a nice build up, with plenty of passion and steamy time, as well as the development of true feelings. And atching the hardass warrior fall was a total swoonfest!

“I love you, Piper. All of you. The smart, the sweet, the lost. Everything you are and whoever you’ll eventually become.”

There is so much going on in this book, and the romance is just a part of it. I don’t want to say too much about it because the story twists and turns with some very unexpected surprises along the way, but once again this is a wild ride from start to finish.

As a fan of this series from the very beginning though, I will say that this book gave me everything that I wanted – at one point I was in tears over the awesomeness of it all . I love that of the characters from the previous books are all very much a part of the story and they haven’t lost any of their badass-ness – in fact, it’s probably more present in this book than in any of the others as the bond between them and the lengths they are willing to go to for each other is once again shown in heart-clenching, yet still badass, ‘us-against-the-world’ fashion.

I also love that we get to check in on each of the couples from the previous books. The Dean boys are a protective bunch, and I love the way they are with their girls, and it was great to see each of them still going strong. But the girls are also strong, they give back just as good as they get, and I really like that.

“I’ll do my best to get back to you.”
“I’m coming with you.” …
“No.”
…“Yes. I’m the hero of my own damn story … Protect me all you want, but this once, I’m needed with you.”

Fast paced and action packed with a lot of heart, this is a great finish to the series. I was sucked in from start to finish and was very satisfied with how it all ended. But there is also definitely potential there for more and if there is, I’ll be diving right in.

I loved it – 4.5 stars.

5 Sinfully Sexy "Sin Brothers" Stars!!!

I've been hooked on this series since reading the first book Forgotten Sins!! At the time, three of the brothers, Shane, Matt, and Nate, weren't sure if their youngest brother Jory was alive. They had seen evidence of his death, a death they would not accept until they themselves prove beyond a doubt that he was dead.

Well, Jory is indeed alive, he's also isolated and held captive once again by the vile Dr. Madison and the evil Commander, who continue to use him as a test subject. There's also the issue of the kill chips in each of the brothers have implanted in their spines, and time is running out before they are activated and the brothers are killed instantly. Unfortunately, Jory's chip is damaged, so even if deactivated, he may not survive. Regardless of his own fate, Jory is determined to escape as he is the computer genius in the Grey family, he will stop at nothing to save his brothers!!

"I’m a fucking killing machine, and you’re a sweet little hacker who likes to flirt with danger. Baby, I am danger.”

Piper Oliver is a brilliant computer programmer/hacker who's attempting to get Jory's kill-chip back online after it was damaged by a bullet. She's not entirely sure why the Commander has given her this assignment since she’s been told that Jory's a condemned prisoner and a traitor to the United States. Still, she’s drawn to Jory, he's an enigma, the attraction is so powerful it's overwhelming, but she's determined not to let his gorgeous grey eyes and seductive persona sway her from her duties to the Commander. Piper has her own agenda when it comes to the Commander and doesn't want to jeopardize her position....or the Commander. She has plenty of her own secrets, not to mention her heart to protect.

"Jory gripped her chin, turning her to face him. His jaw hardened, and he tried to remain gentle. “Time to make a choice, sweetheart. Please. Choose me.”

This was one wild ride; past secrets are brought to the light and lots of new secrets revealed, secrets that had me chanting, “OMG No Way”, out loud a few times!! Once again, there are many twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat, while you’re hoping and praying for a happily-ever-after.

I love this series and now that we have the last of the brother's books, there's an opportunity for a new spin-off series (keeping my fingers crossed). Hopefully, that will be Rebecca Zanetti's next series.....please!!!!

***4 Stars***

...a family made by blood, circumstance and hope.

And so we say goodbye.

I have really loved this series and will miss the rough and tough, sweet and tender, protective and possessive Dean brothers.

In this final installment we're down to one week before the kill chips inserted in the brothers' spines detonate. Time has never been on their side, but the sense of urgency has reached its peak.

Jory, the youngest Dean brother, has gone through hell and back and he's been waiting to reunite with his brothers for years. In his quest to get back to his brothers, Piper enters his life. She's both exactly what he needs to help him and a complete complication that throws his plan and his life on its head.

That's it. That's all you're getting from me. Anything more would be a complete spoiler. And trust me....you want and need to experience all the twists and turns firsthand. If there's one thing that Rebecca Zanetti delivers in spades with this series....it's the element of surprise. Just when you think all the cards are out on the table, she pulls a few tricks from up her sleeve.

The reunion with the brothers was over three books in the making...and boy did it live up to my expectations. It was badass and it was emotional. These guys would kill and die for each other, and have no hesitation in showing how much their brotherhood means to them.

However, I must be honest about my rating. It's the average broken out from the two elements of this book - Romance (3 generous stars) and Suspense (5 stars).

As I mentioned before, Rebecca Zanetti can spin you around and make your heart race with a simple paragraph...a sentence that's a direct hit...and at times a single word. The way she wove all the intricate details of this plot over the course of four books was fantastic! I often found myself holding my kindle in a death grip and barely breathing from all the action taking place on screen. And this final installment was no exception. The final showdown was not what I expected, but just the way it should be. Simple. And to the point.

With regards to the romance....I was disappointed. I just never really warmed up to Piper. The way the book is written we know what the truth is and what's going, while Piper does not...so she's stuck trying to unravel what to believe and who to trust. At first, I was rooting for her to figure things out...she is a genius after all...but after a while it became too frustrating. Her emotions overrode her brain and she came off as a horny girl with childhood issues.

Also, I never felt any real spark or chemistry between Piper and Jory. They fell completely flat for me. Maybe it's because it took Piper too long to fully trust Jory? Maybe it's because they didn't really have many quiet moments together? They were constantly battling something....whether it being people or emotions. I don't know what exactly it was or what could have been done differently to change this, but that's pretty much where I stand.

Let me take a minute to discuss the ending and that epilogue...

Rebecca Zanetti ties a beautiful bow at the conclusion of the Dean Brothers' story, while keeping the option open for a possible spinoff with new characters introduced in this final installment.

Overall, this was a fantastic series filled with pulse pounding suspense and heart melting love.

I'll give the last word to Mattie, my favorite, because in the middle of all this uncertainty and chaos, his possessive and larger than life love for his brothers managed to make me laugh out loud.

"No more fucking good-byes. I am so done with that shit and with all of us sacrificing our lives. We're fucking done, and we'll all fucking live. The first guy who tells me good-bye ever again, even if he's just going to the fucking grocery store, gets a fist planted in his fucking face."

“Time to make a choice, sweetheart. Please. Choose me.”

4 Stars. These Dean brothers are so sexy!!

“One taste, Piper. Before I die, one taste of you. I’m not going to heaven, but maybe I could have a taste before I go.”

Finally we meet the youngest Dean brother, Jory. Since the first book his brothers has been looking for him, fearing he was dead, and in the previous book they found out that he had been shot and in a coma for a long time. But Jory is tough just like his brothers and once he came out of his come he made sure his body will be ready for when he escapes the Commander’s clutches again. For Jory is intent on breaking the code to their kill chips and saving his brothers, even if he can’t save himself. Jory was just as wonderful as his brothers, a total alpha who is so very broken because of how they were raised and fiercely loyal to his brothers. And I loved how protective he was over Piper.

Considering that her taste in men truly sucked until just recently, it figured she’d be attracted to him. But really, who wouldn’t be? The guy was every movie hero, romance novel antihero, and sexy villain she’d ever seen all trumbled into one seriously hot package.

I liked Piper and how stubborn and feisty she was. Her naivety in believing her father about all the lies he told about the Dean brothers in order to get her to cooperate, annoyed me although it was perfectly understandable that she would rather have believed the father she only recently found than think of him as evil. I loved how she stood up to Jory, especially since the Dean brothers can be quite bossy and I loved that she accepted and loved Jory just like he was, the ruthless soldier and computer geek.

For months, he’d been fine with the thought of dying, so long as he could save his brothers. But that was before Piper had stormed her way into his heart, before he knew he could love a woman. The raw need to stay with her, to grow old with her, to protect her from the dangers he knew too well existed in life heated his very blood.

The romance was great and even though the attraction was there from the start it took a while for them to get together since Piper didn’t think she could trust him and Jory because he knew his time was short.

“Come on, Mattie.” Jory yanked his hands from his pockets. “You’re probably twelve or so… don’t you want a last name we can all share?” He looked down at his feet, and his eyes stung. His brothers never cried, and neither would he. “Just in case the commander sends me away, I want us all to have the same name. Just so I know what it is so I can find you guys.”

I love these brothers and all the flashbacks we get with every book about when they were young, how hard they fought to stay together and alive and how deep their bond were even then. Seeing how they were treated when they were younger, how they decided on their last name, made my heart hurt so bad, but made me love it even more that they fought so hard against the Commander. Their love for one another is so beautiful!

The pacing was fast and action-packed in this book, with the brothers and Piper racing against time to crack the codes to the kill chips and staying out of the Commander’s clutches. And in the end I’m very glad with how things worked out for them. They certainly deserved their HEA.

With the secrets revealed in the end, I’m really looking forward to the spin-off series. If you like your heroes dominant alphas, your heroines feisty, steamy romance and gripping suspense, then this series is a must read.

The Dean Brothers, elite super soldiers enhanced by breeding and supernatural gifts, were raised as soldiers/slaves by the evil Commander in a top secret government facility. When they escaped his compound he relentlessly pursued them, but with each book the Commander’s hold became weaker, and one by one each of the brothers found love in a strong woman. Total Surrender is the exciting conclusion to the series with Jory, the lost Dean Brother, taking center stage.

The Dean Brothers were bonded by love and a staunch dedication to each other. Jory had been missing for two years with his fate unknown, something that gutted all the brothers, so when they finally were all reunited it was an emotional scene.

It was a treat to “see” all the previous couples and their continued happiness together. The Dean Brothers and their mates were a big happy family the boys always craved while growing up.

Jory and Piper’s romance was my least favorite of the series partly because Piper was a bit annoying and also because it was an insta-love situation I didn’t feel their connection as much as the other couples. Still, Rebecca Zanetti can write some steam and she came through here as well.

The book also felt a little long. It felt like I was reading and reading and still not getting far, but maybe it was partially due to a slow start and a lull somewhere in between. I ended up skimming to get to the good parts.

Total Surrender
was a satisfying conclusion to the exciting Sin Brothers series. While it wasn’t my favorite of the series, there were a lot of positives and I’m happy with how it all worked out.

After three hair-raising installments of wondering whether the fourth Dean brother was alive, or not, we finally have our answer, however their reunion might be short lived because D-Day is upon them. This series has been one gigantic adrenaline rush, and Rebecca Zanetti doesn’t hold back in TOTAL SURRENDER; in fact, she severs the brakes, and pushes listeners off the largest hill she can find with an evil grin plastered on her face. This audiobook didn’t just get an emotional reaction out of me, but a physical one too, and Karen White led the charge with her narration.

This series is a great example of nature vs. nurture in that all of the SIN BROTHERS were test tube babies, and received near identical upbringings, and yet they couldn’t be more different. Jory has the highest IQ ever recorded, and Piper is a gifted hacker, so I totally geeked-out over these two protagonists. I also loved that the author filled in the remainder of the gaps by sharing minor details like how the siblings got their last name, and major ones such as who shot the youngest Dean. You might want to strap on a helmet because the blindsides just keep on coming!

I’ve heard of close calls, but apparently down to the wire just didn’t cut it for Zanetti because she left no room for error when the deadline on the kill chips was up. Thanks for the gray hairs! I went into this installment thinking that it was the last one, however when Chance & co. showed up, I began to have doubts. I was excited at the prospect of more volumes, although the idea of the Commander living to fight another day brought on a fit of rage. Ultimately, I was satisfied on both fronts, and even more so by the closing chapters, along with each brother’s mini HEA.

The blame for my newly found heart condition doesn’t rest solely on the author’s shoulders because even though she brought the grenade, it was Karen White who pulled the pin with her narration. There were so many voices in this audiobook because all of the characters were in it, and yet the reader conquered every single one of them as though it were child’s play. My only beef with this novel was the overuse of the word ‘intense'; I’m tempted to buy the eBook edition so that I can run a search, and tally it up. Nevertheless, Zanite and Romantic Suspense go together like chocolate & strawberries!

Sticking with the food theme, TOTAL SURRENDER was the cherry on top of the SIN BROTHERS sundae.

3.5 Better than the previous one

Not bad, I liked the two and I was really curious about the end of the story. I have to admit, this series made me a bit curious (not a lot, but more than I expected, lol).

Worth reading, especially if you've read the others.

I had a great time with this book! I have really enjoyed working my way through this series and have been really eager to read Jory's story and to find out how everything would work out for the Dean brothers. I would recommend reading this series in order if at all possible since some story arcs do carry over from book to book. I thought that this was a wonderful conclusion to the series.

Jory hasn't seen his brothers in years. They have actually believed that he was dead and he did have a close call. Since that close call, he has been kept at the facility under lock and key. Piper has just recently met her father, the commander, and has taken a job with the organization that uses her skills. She is tasked with trying to get control of the chips embedded in each of the Dean brother's heads. These chips are set to kill the brothers in a very short time.

I liked Jory and Piper. They had fantastic chemistry together and had quite a bit in common. They seemed to understand each other right away and I liked that Piper took a chance and trusted Jory. In addition to focusing on the romance between Jory and Piper, this book also had a big focus on all four brothers and their mission to deactivate the chips and gain control of their lives. I really enjoyed seeing the brothers and their significant others working together to get the chance at a family that they have always wanted.

Karen White did a fantastic job with the narration. I loved all of the voices that she used and never had any difficulty distinguishing which character was speaking. I thought that she added a lot of excitement and emotion into the story. I wanted to listen to this book for hours at a time and feel like the narration added to my overall enjoyment of the story.

I would recommend this story to others. I really fell for the Dean brothers over the course of this series. Each installment featured a wonderful romance and I loved how strong the bond was between the brothers. I thought that this book wrapped the series up very nicely and I am looking forward to reading more of Rebecca Zanetti's work very soon.

Initial Thoughts
I enjoyed this one. It was really nice to see how things would work out for the Dean brothers. I do think that readers will get the most out of this book if they have read the previous books in the series prior to this one. I liked Jory and Piper quite a bit. I thought that they had fantastic chemistry and liked that they had quite a bit in common. Karen White did a wonderful job with the narration.

What an incredible journey for survival and freedom! The Sin Brothers captured not only my heart in Forgotten Sins, but it had my pulse racing in Sweet Revenge, took me by surprise in Blind Faith, and ultimately had me cheering, stomping my feet and cradling my heart in Total Surrender.

The youngest of the Sin Brothers, Jory, has been in a coma for two years. He is now awake and residing in a cell just waiting for his chance to escape and reunite with his grey eyed brothers. Lucky for him, a beautiful computer geek just might be able to help him.

Piper is told not to trust the prisoner she has been tasked to save. But it doesn’t stop her from taking note of the beautiful specimen behind the bullet proof glass. Piper is new to the organization she is working for and is beginning to see that all is not what it seems.

Total Surrender is Jorys turn to find happiness and love. At the same time, Matt, Nate, Shane, and Jory must do whatever it takes to save not only themselves, but the love they have found and the family they have created along this journey. Never alone: a mantra, a beacon, and a hope created by children and carried into adulthood. These sexy soldiers were created to kill and be the ultimate warriors, and they will do anything and everything in their power to keep the promise. Never Alone.

I am in awe of the world Rebecca Zanetti created with her Sin Brothers. The four book series is a testament that Zanetti can deliver well thought out books with fresh ideas and remain true to her characters. I have loved this series from the beginning and I am sad that the ride is over. But hey! I can always re-read because....

“A week with a Dean brother is like a year with anybody else. You know. With the shooting, the espionage, the fighting for their lives.”

THIS BOOK IS AMAZING...

description

I could have ended my whole review with only that one statement and GIF but I need to let all my feelings out regarding this book before I freaking burst!

So to keep give you guys a head up, I never read the three previous books before this and I AM SO UPSET. Not that you really need to read them to understand the book, I just feel that everything would be clearer if I did. On the start of the book I was confused as to whether this book would feature werewolves or something like that which it did not but it did feature men who have been genetically altered to be stronger and more intelligent than us normal human beings.

Piper Oliver was the daughter of the Commander and she was tasked to remove the chip that was planted on Jory Dean in order to save his life. She was made to know that Jory betrayed his country which t first believed but when she got to know Jory more, she didn't know who to trust. Her father that she just recently came to know or Jory, who was mysterious as hell but never really did anything to intentionally hurt her.

When I said this book was amazing I was not lying. This book is one of the few books this year that has been able to make me laugh, cry, get scared and all the emotions in between. This book was so well written that I was feeling all the emotions the characters felt whilst reading and that's something I never feel with every book I read so I am very thankful for being able to read this book.

One thing that I really liked about this book was how Jory and his brothers loyalty to each other. From the very start to the very end of the book, the family bond between Jory and his brothers was something that really made this book absolutely spectacular for me. No matter what the circumstances were they stick together like glue and I can't help but tear up little (okay, maybe a LOT) every time they shed their tough guy attitude and cry because of how they missed each other. Men who cry are never weak, they're just strong enough to show the world what they're feeling which is really admirable.

Jory and Piper's relationship was another part of this book that really I liked. Well everything about this book was likable but the relationship between Jory and Piper was really something special. Jory was a typical alpha male but Piper never let him take full control which I liked. There relationship in and out of bed was also great and although they have only been with each other fr a short period of time they're very invested already and it makes it seem as if they have been with each other for a very long time. I guess when you met the one it doesn't really matter how long you've known each other, if he's the one then he's the one time holds no meaning.

This book was a perfect book to read and I cannot wait to read more about the Dean Brothers.

4 Brotherly Lovin' Stars

I feel like I have been waiting for Jory Dean my whole life, or at least for the past year! This is the 4th and I am so sad to say, the final installment of the Sin Brothers Series. I was looking for EPIC! I was ready for an intense game of survival and battle to the end moments. I was unprepared for "little brother" to be so damn dominant! Where did baby Dean come from????

 photo PhotoGrid_1428011367046_zpshb5izfbe.jpg

Jory Dean, the baby, the weakest link? UMMMM, NOPE! The smart survivor with one goal...to stay alive. He was thought to be dead, but just a prisoner of the Commander. He is on borrowed time with a defective chip deep in his spine. He yearns and plots for just a minute of space...a chance for freedom. He wants nothing more than to find his brothers...to never be alone!

Of course, there is a girl! Of course it can't just be an easy relationship of sorts. Again, drama, as Piper...Jory's sudden interest just happens to be the Commander's daughter! A computer geek and beautiful hacker has come to Jory's prison in attempts to "save" him from detonating! She is unprepared for her pull towards this sexy prisoner and she battles everyday between a taboo lust and doing what is right. But who is right? Who is the bad guy?

 photo PhotoGrid_1428011958343_zpsr9uvklsc.jpg

While it would not be the same if Zanetti didn't deliver her oh so good sexual tension. This book is very fast. I wanted to stop time numerous times. Perhaps the whole "days left to live" accelerated the tale, but Jory and Piper were over the top attracted and balls to the wall horny for one another. I do not blame the girl...I mean Jory Dean was...just wow!

 photo PhotoGrid_1428012473460_zpscnoehipq.jpg

Again, as in the previous books, lots of action, lots of heat, lots of betrayal, but he best...the DEAN BROTHER'S REUNITED! Best Scene ever! So, I will say that overall, it was really good...a great conclusion with epic moments, but as a whole, I think I might have wanted a little bit more struggle. I think the action and the race to the end was a bit easy. Still good, still a fan, but Nate's story will always be the best IMO!

Piper and Jory?
Jonetta: I thought she had a great sense of humor and he really was a badass. They were great together, especially when she was debating whether to trust him or not.
Jennifer: I thought Piper was great for Jory. She helped bring out his emotions and helped me have a little fun in a dark world.

Who's your daddy?
Jonetta: Didn't see that coming either! Probably my biggest WTH moment in the story. I had to rewind and listen again.
Jennifer: I liked the reveal. After all one Dean brother feel for the bitch's daughter. It was only fighting that this love connection happened.

There's a new crazy in town
Jonetta: Like the Commander and his crew weren't crazy enough? The Protect group may be worse as they're fanatical. Loved it.
Jennifer: Yeah we got a peek at their crazy in the last novel but we got more crazy this time around. I felt like that story line could have gone a little longer.

Most exciting moment?
Jonetta: Gotta be dealing with Jory's kill chip. Down to the wire much!
Jennifer: For me it was the death of a very bad man. FINALLY!

Who Shot Jory?!
Jennifer: OMG! That was a shocker. Well kind of. I did have it have figured it out but only right before it was revealed.
Jonetta: It was a WTH moment for me. I never saw it coming until the reveal.

Left Me Wondering
Jennifer: What about the mother of the year, the Protect group and the rest of the brothers? There's potential for a spin off series.
Jonetta: Talk about leaving a huge door opening! More than potential for a spinoff. She left some nutty people out there in the world. We're not quite done with the Deans, either. I'd read it!

Satisfying end?
Jennifer: Even though there were a few things left unanswered I thought Total Surrender was a nice end to the Sin Bothers series.
Jonetta: It put a nice period on most of the open storylines and that worked for me, too. And, I liked Jory's closure.

About Karen White (narrator)
Jonetta: She made all the characters distinctive. I particularly liked her interpretation of Pippa and Mommie Dearest.
Jennifer: Karen brought her A game again. She knows the right amount of sassy to bring to the heroines and roughness for the Dean boys.

Special thanks to Naomi for being the best book gifter EVER! Love you xoxo

Jory Dean has been missing and thought dead for more than two years. Jory is the youngest of Dean brothers, who along with his brothers escaped their military compound prior to the start of the series. His brothers recently found out that Jory survived a bullet wound to the chest at the end of the last book. Jory has only recently woken from a coma, with his kill chip broken, Jory believes he doesn’t have much time before it accidentally ends up killing him. He is under captivity of the asshole and lunatic that the commander is.

Jory was so much more than I expected, I mean if you have read the other books in the series, you know that he has always been in the hearts of his brothers and their grief of losing him had a huge impact on their life. He was described as amazingly intelligent but sweet and well their little brother. He was the one that made the brothers see light in their dark lives and he made them smile. Here in this book, he is those thing as well being a badass.

“If I could, I’d spend every second of every day keeping you safe and warm. Totally loved without one concern…..Baby. I’ll always love you.”

Piper Oliver is the young hacker, brought in by the commander to help with Jory’s chip. She believes that the commander and his people are the good guys and Jory is a traitor to the country. Piper is attracted to the prisoner from the moment she meets him. Her whole world turns upside down when she founds out that whatever conceptions she had of her life, the commander, the facility and Jory are completely out of sync with the reality. I don’t want to give away too much about her since she was an interesting character, she goes through a lot and comes out stronger and tougher and there are so many spoilers related to her life so….

“I’m in love with all of you, Jory. The computer geek and the soldier.”

Piper and Jory were perfect together, they understood each other’s hacker babble, had great as in off the charts chemistry and they were adorably sweet.

Jory:“ Just promise you won’t forget me.”
Piper: “You matter, Jory Dean. I promise. I’ll never forget you.”

I just have to mention, this book also made me very teary, some scenes were heartbreaking.

The action/suspense bit was also done wonderfully, it had you at the edge of your seat (or bed in my case :P ) and you don’t know how it’s going to end with a happy ending since there’s seems no hope or way out.

Quibbles: Piper started of as naive, which made me go all like ‘Open your eyes dude, look around!’ Anyways she got better obviously, otherwise I wouldn’t enjoyed the book as much as I did.

I loved seeing all the brother back together and their significant others and see the dean brother finally have the family and love they ever wanted yet never voiced or hoped for.

Overall, this was a great end to a wonderful series. Nothing else to add apart from I hope we get more books from this series world, especially for some of the secondary characters introduced in the book since the book seemed to hint that we might get a spin off. Bravo Rebecca Zanetti. As always Happy Reading!

Ehrmahgerd!!! What an adrenaline rush! And so dang sweet!...

I still haven't gotten to Shane's story (I promise, Shane, I will get to you one of these days) but I have to say that this is my most fave of the series. Not necessarily because of Jory alone, but just taking the series as a whole. This is the perfect conclusion to the Dean brothers' story, and the good thing is, even as a conclusion, it still opens up the possibility for more stories. Chance much?;)

Just knowing what the brothers are up against, this definitely has a more nail-biting feel to it. I felt I was totally embedded in the middle of all the actions, nervously anticipating the next scene even though I have an idea what it is. Gah! I can feel my heartbeat rising again just thinking of some of the crucial scenes...

Of course the focus here is Jory. Jory who's been separated from his brothers all this time, just wanting to right everything for everyone. Then there's Piper, the woman meant to help him with his dilemma. I was worried that Piper will make stupid decisions albeit unintentionally just because of who she is. If you're like me who's read and enjoyed the other brothers' stories, I'm sure you'd understand the feeling of protectiveness for these boys knowing their history and what they've gone thru, and because of that, I'm sure you'd like a worthy h for all of them, right? Luckily for me, and Piper, she did right by Jory. I think so anyway. Oh Jory, Jory...

And I'm sorry, but I just can't help but circle back again to these brothers all together. Their moments together have always been a highlight for me in all the books. They're just too adorable for words! I know that might not be the right word given who they are but they just are! I just love their interactions and whatever words that came out of their mouths. Oh you Dean brothers you!

So glad I got the chance to read this. So heart those Dean brothers!... A fitting ending indeed!

A thrilling fight against time. A fight for life, and not just his. It’s a fight for the life and hapynness of his brothers and loved ones.

Jory Dean and his brothers were created and raised since birth to be the ultimate soldiers. They weren’t just robed of their childhood, they were made to believe they were soulless monsters, killing machines. But the fraternal bond they forged, didn’t just make them stronger it made them human.
“We have souls... Everybody. We have souls because I’ve seen them move. Grow. Hurt. Love. I promise you, no matter how they made us, we have souls.”

When they escaped the clutches of “the commander” they knew facing him again was inevitable. Their creator had implanted each one of them with a deadly chip only he controlled. But Jory got caught and shot. Spending two years in a comma. Waking up as a prisoner to find out one bullet caused his chip to malfunction.

Brilliant hacker Piper Oliver has been brought in to figure out a way to connect with Jory’s chip and save his life. She was told that man with the face of a fallen angel is a traitor. That he would try to sway her into helping him. But the commander’s warnings don’t ring true. And even if she is fervent about pleasing her employer, who also happens to be her estranged father, she will settle for no less than the truth.

I fell in love with the Dean brothers and the series’ premise from the first book. These books are action packed, filled with scorching romance and laced with beautiful sibling love. The writing is phenomenal, engaging in every page.
“Their mantra from childhood. Never alone.”

So I was sorely disappointed with this story for two reasons: the heroine and the plot holes. Piper may have been a spunky, intelligent woman unable to hide her big heart. But she was also naïve and gullible. Which irked me from the very beginning.

There was also her inconsistency as a computer geek. Programmers thrive on solving problems. As a software nerd myself, I know we’ll forgo sleep and food (except caffeine) until we find the solution we’ve been tasked to do. So the fact that Piper kept putting off writing a program to save a man’s life, spending hours cleaning in order to go to dinner to get to know her father better and a bit more about the man she was “trying” to save simply did not compute.

From a technical stand point, something that can probably be ignored by most but not a computer programmer, I feel the plot should apply for sainthood. It was holy with all its mishaps. I know, creative license and all that, but I just couldn't help it.
“He was minutes away from breaking the algorithm, and he didn’t need help.”

Jory did not need help, not even Piper's, and his brothers had the code necessary for the chip deactivation, ready for him to work with as soon as he got his hands on it. Add to that, any of the Dean brothers were better qualified to work with him than Piper. Hacker extraordinare or not, she was still “human.” I won’t even mention the solution because I’ve already given too much and spoil you I will not.

Not even the insta-love bothered me like the forced and predictable plot.
“A week with a Dean brother is like a year with anybody else. You know. With the shooting, the espionage, the fighting for their lives.”

I loved Jory though. He was “every movie hero, romance novel antihero, and sexy villain… all tumbled into one seriously hot package.” He was all alpha badass on the outside, but his brilliance and love for Piper and his family shone through in a stunning way.
“You’re a sweet little hacker who likes to flirt with danger. Baby, I am danger... I’ve never met a woman who needed a taming more than you do.”

I adored how he was possessive of Piper and let her choose at the same time. It was fantastic to see how he got to know the love of a woman. I also have to mention the great banter between the two and all the incredibly scorching moments.
“I love your body,” she breathed, running her hands down his chest. “My body loves you.”

Even though you can read this book as a standalone, the author expertly doling out the information needed, I have enjoyed getting to know the characters in the previous books and took great pleasure in getting to have them in this book again as well as get to know the new additions to the expanding Dean clan.

Perhaps you can ignore my pet peeves. The book is wonderfully written and I fell for Jory, the incredible secondary characters and all the touching moments. There were so many of these I had a difficult time choosing my favorites. Some heartbreaking, some heartwarming.
“What does motivate you?”
She paused. He was damn serious. “Why?”
“Because I’ll do whatever it takes. Money? Long life? Tour of the world? You ask for it, and I’ll do it—if you save my brother.” ~ Matt talking to Piper

Happy Release Day!!!!!

There's a DOUBLE GIVEAWAY at my blog today. Enter the rafflecopter and also leave a COMMENT to maybe win a paperback of this book. Link below.

When I read the first book in this series, Forgotten Sins, I was totally pulled into the Sin Brothers' world. At the time, three of the brothers, Shane, Matt, and Nate weren't sure Jory was still alive. They had evidence of his death...but didn't want to accept it.

Their faith is rewarded when Jory is found to be alive in Book 3: Blind Faith. While he is alive, he's also locked up, held by the truly evil Dr. Madison, and the even worse, Commander. There's also the not-so-small issue of the kill chips in each of the brothers' necks. Time is running out before they are activated and deadly blades sever their spines. Yeah...it was nerve wracking!

Piper Oliver is set up right outside Jory's cage. She's working as fast as her brilliant brain can process to try and get his particular chip back online. A bullet had nicked it and it wasn't responding to orders. She's not sure why she's doing this, since he IS a traitor to the USA and he's going to be court-martialed anyway (at least that's what her superiors have told her). But there's something about him, something that just calls to her. She has a POINT TO PROVE and she's not going to let his gorgeous gray eyes sway her, though. Nope, not her. Of course, since he knows to the minute how long he has on this earth, he's not going to let his heart come into play. We all know how that's going to work out for them, don't we? Yes, makes for some fun times.

This is one wild ride of a book. Old secrets are opened to the light and new ones had me gasping and turning the pages as fast as I could read them. Once again, Ms. Zanetti throws twists and turns at us and keeps us hoping for an HEA for everyone and wondering just how that could possibly happen.

This was a very satisfying read. I hate that it's OVER! Thankfully, this author is very prolific and she's already got more words in the pipeline. I'm in line for them! There was also a couple things that could take us in another direction, and I sincerely hope we get to see MORE, there!
