Three ThunderClan cats, Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Dovepaw, are prophesied to hold the power of the stars in their paws. Now they must work together to unravel the meaning behind the ancient words of the prophecy.

As Jayfeather tackles his new responsibilities as the Clan's sole medicine cat and Lionblaze trains his apprentice in the ways of the warrior cats, Dovepaw hones her own unique ability and tries to use it for the good of ThunderClan. But the dark shadows that have preyed on the Clan for many moons still lurk just beyond the forest. Soon a mysterious visitor will walk in one cat's dreams, whispering promises of greatness, with results that will change the future of ThunderClan in ways that no cat could have foreseen.

This was a very good book! I was always at the edge of my seat! I was dissapointed that Tigerstar is training Ivypaw. I had a feeling something like that would happen! I am glad he isn't training Dovepaw. Jayfeather is doubting his ability as a medicine cat I think. Leafpool was a great medicine cat and I don't think she is doing a very good job at being a warrior. Or at least I think she is definitely better at being a medicine cat. Is it just me, or do other people wish that LionBlaze and Jayfeather should forgive Leafpool and Squirrelflight? Or at least talk to them? I also think that Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw should get back together. They were an awesome couple! I sorta wished that more things would of happened in between the big things that happened. Sometimes I just wanted to skip ahead to get to a more exciting part. But, all in all, it was a very good book and I think the next one will be too! Erin Hunter is very good at description and she paints an amazing picture! So I was very satisfied with this book.

Wow, that was really exciting. There was so much doubt and so many secrets, and I really think that that had to do with the author's message. Dovepaw and Ivypaw, who used to tell each other everything, have lost so much trust! They each have an important secret to keep, and their secrets are really tearing them apart from each other.

I love my sister, and it's hard for me to keep even a small secret from her. I can't imagine what it would be like to have to hide everything from her. When it comes down to it, I really think I'd rather tell her everything. Having a close sibling is like having a best friend. They're always there for fun and support. But best friends also fight. Siblings can't always get along, and they don't.

Family is complicated, and Dovepaw and Ivypaw aren't the only example of that in this book. Jayfeather and Lionblaze feel so much hatred towards Leafpool and Squirrelflight, their mother and aunt. Jayfeather is disgusted with the idea of a medicine cat going against the rules and having babies. because of that he hates his mother, and tries to avoid her as much as possible. But in the time that he does spend with her, I can tell that not only does she love and miss him, but he loves her to.

Sometimes loving someone makes them easier to hate. I'm sure that I'm not the first one to realize that, but it's absolutely true. When you really have strong feelings for someone, it's easier for those feelings to turn negative than to just disappear.

Jayfeather also finds out that Yellowfang had a son who she killed. Killing your own child seems crazy and inexcusable, but I can kind of understand it. Being Brokenstar's mother, Yellowfang obviously cared for him. Even though she loved him at first, he was a mistake. She wasn't supposed to have children. So when he turned evil, it was easy for her to misinterpret that love as hate. It was easier to kill him than to live with him, so that's what she did.

Although it worked out for Yellowfang, I'm not saying that you should kill your family members, even if they do bug you. What I'm really trying to say, and what I think the author was trying to say, is that family may be complicated, but hurting eachother doesn't help anything. The more you push your family away, the harder it will be to deal with them. There are no rules when it comes to love, but it's even harder when it's with your family. There's no escape, so you ultimately just have to learn to deal with them.

Even when your family feels impossible, the best way to deal with them is just to express what you're feeling. As shown by Dovepaw and Ivypaw, even when you feel really far from them, they'll always be there for you when you need them. Secrets don't help anything, and they really only make family more complicated.

Spanning ten top!

this was a rollercoaster ride of a book. Between all three cats trying to use their powers and the tree falling on the Thunderclan hollow and the battle at the end, plus the Dark Forest cats secretly influencing and training the Clan cats like Tigerheart and Ivypaw, it was intense. I especially lked how the medicine cats treated Briarlight's injury and the way the DF cats were craftily influencing the young cats, because this shows a good development of the villains and that they aren't just one note killers. I want to know, however, why the Dark Forest cats can actually harm the Clan cats from dreams? I hope that's explained it reminds me of psychosomatic experiences.

Ta walka i ta śmierć Rdzawego Futra...
No zobaczymy co dalej!
3/5✨

Dovepaw's sister, Ivypaw is jealous about her "special sister". Desperate to prove herself she started her "secret training" from firestar's old hated enemy- Tigherstar. His dark plans are starting to unfold... The three must gather their powers and stop Tigerstar!

I personally think that the 4th series is the most interesting and the most thrilling because there is many changes.

Oof, that cliffhanger.

I'm curious to see how a disabled character is going to be treated further in the series, but I'm not getting my hopes up too much.

Even if Ivypaw/Ivypool is jealous with Dovepaw/Dovewing I can't not realize she works much harder than her. And because she is training with HAWKFROST in the Dark Forest makes me like her even more.

I used to feel that each book in the Warriors series had one main part per book, as in one major thing happened and that was it. In Omen of the Stars, though, there is action throughout-- this makes them better than each of the previous series' books, in my opinion.

Fading Echoes has excitement throughout all of its 300 plus pages. I loved this book because there wasn't just one major event, like there is in Power of Three and The New Prophecy. Fading Echoes is unique because it has so much character development with a majority of its large cast. The revelation about Ivypaw was my favorite part of this book, along with the climax at the end.

Warriors has a great writing style, and there is a good balance between the cats of ThunderClan and their stories compared to the rest of the cast. I loved Fading Echoes and I can't wait to read Night Whispers and the rest of this series.

I'm actually loving this arc so far! Ivypaw and Dovepaw are interesting to follow as main characters, since they're both headed down such different paths but are so sure in what they're doing. I also love that them being Cloudtail and Brightheart's daughter's children makes the original era cats so involved with them.
I didn't know that Longtail would die and am sad to see him go. I really liked his character development over the series, but this is about the time for some more of the original era cats to die.
Having a character lie about a dream from Starclan is also an interesting twist! The clan's belief in Starclan has always been presented as a strength so it's nice to see the ways that can be manipulated into a weakness being explored.
The battle at the end of this was also great, and I was genuinely surprised by Firestar losing a life, as I hadn't expected that to happen during what was meant to be a small border fight.
Overall, this made me really hopeful for the way this arc is going to go, as it reminded me of the original series in terms of focusing on the clans themselves and having that be enough for a perfect book.

A great entry in the series. Ivypaw being trained by the Dark Forest might be a plotline that has been used multiple times, but hers is different in the fact that she is actually manipulated into causing a terrible battle with terrible consequences. I like how Dovepaw is trying to navigate the changes relationships with the other cats from the quest (and how it brings her closer to Tigerheart). The complicated relationship between the sisters is the driving heart of the story, which is perhaps reminiscent of Squirrelflight and Leafpool, except this is a much more negative relationship. Also, Briarlight’s plotline is an interesting one. I like how it makes Jayfeather talk to his mother, which he has been avoiding. Still love Dovepaw’s powers!

ThunderClan apprentice: “Oh yeah I just made up these very specific and ruthless fighting moves all on my own!! I’ve definitely never trained with dead villains!!”

The rest of ThunderClan: “…okay… anyway, everything is fine, back to normal!”

🤦🏼‍♀️ Can we PLEASE have a Clan meeting about how the ghosts of Tigerstar and Hawkfrost are not to be trusted whatsoever?? I liked how this book was setting up for future drama, though.

Rating: Really Enjoyed It

This one was largely not as memorable. It took me a few days to write my review and I had already forgotten what happened. I feel like Dovepaw and Ivypaw were acting rather foolish for the majority of this one. But I did appreciate the incorporation of Briarlight's injury into this. I appreciate how these books handle differences in their cats rather through injury or differences that are present at birth.

It took me FOREVER to read this book because I was dumb enough to decide I wanted to also read two other books at the same time, but now I’ve finally finished it and an one step closer to completing my Warriors re-read. While I don’t remember a whole lot of the beginning (cause I put it down for so long), I did enjoy the ending and found it to be powerful and very much of a cliffhanger!
