The Mystwood Retreat is going to open. There's a cat that talks and a cuckoo clock that also talks. Malcolm is a chef critic who is coming to judge food and he's a rather nasty piece of work himself.
It's a food contest going on and he's there as a judge who manages to tee off people rather well. There's also a witch that might be a problem, a death (as usual in these books). There are so many grudges and suspects, though, that it's hard to find the murderer.
It's a rather different and pretty well done story.

Luna is finally getting Mystic Retreats staffed and who would have guessed it would be be such an adventure!!!
I really enjoyed all the new faces, I that it was woke how well we got to know everyone individually.
The mystery was heartbreaking as well as intriguing.
I Love how the author has set us down right in the middle as well as letting us watch her set up each aspect of setting up Mystic Retreat.
It's like meeting new friends in the comfort of one of your favorite places.
Luna and Echo quickly become a part of the community as well as getting the Retreat up and running for everyone.
The magic system is so fun and the character dynamics extremely entertaining!!!

Great read
If you’re looking for a sweet, fun mystery with ghosts and witches this is the one to read. Lots of action and suspense. The characters are fun. This is a light read, just my cup of tea.
