This was an entertaining collection of very short stories of the creepypasta-NoSleep type. Unfortunately, they all sounded very familiar and there were very few surprises or twists.

**thank you to Booksprout and Blair Daniels for the ebook!**

Like any collection, I enjoyed some stories more than others. I'd read many of the first iterations of these stories on NoSleep, and it was great to see them in a published format! "I'm a Realtor, Something is Very Wrong With The House I'm Selling," "Two Years Ago, My Friend Went Missing From a Hotel. I've Been Looking for Her Ever Since," and "My Plane Landed at an Airport That Doesn't Exist" were standouts!

This collection of stories wasn't my favorite, as I just didn't vibe with the writing style as much as I have with other story collections.

Each story within the collection is meticulously crafted, drawing readers into worlds that are both unsettling and eerily familiar. Polizzi's narratives are rich with atmosphere and tension. The Woman in the Walls, is particularly striking, blending psychological horror with elements of gothic fiction to create a chilling and unforgettable reading experience.

I loved the complexity and emotional depth that Polizzi is able to develop in short spans of time. There's a blend of the emotional and eerie that elevates the stories beyond conventional horror. It gives the reader a glimpse into the frailties and fears that define us all.

Conclusion The Woman in the Walls and Other Stories is a masterful collection that cements Jamie Polizzi's place as a formidable voice in modern horror fiction. Each story is a journey into the unsettling, the unknown. Polizzi's storytelling is both terrifying and beautifully introspective, making this collection a must-read for anyone who enjoys horror.

This is the second anthology I’ve picked up recently, and I have to say, I think I’m starting to fall in love with this type of storytelling. As a dedicated horror lover, this collection hit all the right notes—it had just the perfect amount of scares, tension, and eeriness without going overboard. I definitely wasn’t disappointed.

What initially grabbed my attention was the cover—it had this beautifully spooky design that instantly set the tone for what I hoped would be an immersive experience. And wow, from the very first chapter, I was hooked! It felt like the book had me under a spell, as if I was trapped inside its world, unable to stop reading. Pretty spooky, right?

Each story was unique and gripping in its own way, which made it almost impossible to pick a favorite. Every tale brought something fresh and chilling to the table, keeping me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. If you’re a fan of horror anthologies like me, I highly recommend giving this one a try—you won't regret it. And hopefully, you can come back to our world and not get stuck in the book!

"The Woman in the Walls and Other Stories is a chilling collection that will that will captivate horror fans. With 24 short stories packed into just 176 pages, each tale offers a different setting and a unique twist, catering to a variety of tastes. I loved how, despite their brevity, every story felt complete and managed to create an eerie atmosphere. The cover is as spooky as the content, setting the tone perfectly. The level of horror varies, so there’s something for everyone. Perfect for the upcoming spooky season!".

Little Nightmares from the Liminal Spaces

This book is filled with short, digestible stories that leave you wanting more. The title doesn't really capture the feel of the majority of the stories included in this anthology. Most of the tales make you feel as though you're a fly on the wall in some liminal space corner of purgatory. Imagine short stories from Silent Hill if you will.

Stories are well written, some are short, some are longer but they are all imaginative and haunting. About to consume more from this author's imagination.

I really liked this story collection, unique plot concepts outside of the usual "ooh spooky ghost" stuff. I started reading it because I love Blair Daniels' work, but ended up discovering a handful of writers that I can't wait to read their other work. My favorites in the collection were "My coworkers and I...", "I just got a toe...", and "My apartment is stunning...".

These stories weren't at all scary or horror stories. Some were interesting and unique, but none were scary. None of the stories will stay in my memory. They just had me wanting more. They were short stories. Disappointing.

Twisted Stories

From the first story I got yanked in and couldn't stop reading, even when I kept telling myself to save some of these in
creepy reads for later. I just couldn't stop except when I feel asleep reading one of these twisted and weird stories.
This is one of the good collections of creepy reads that you won't regret and you'll be happy to add to your keep pile

Didn't realize this was a book of short stories which was no one's fault but my own. Some of the stories toward the end were interesting but the but the others were not. My biggest problem with this book was the typos, omitted words and added words. It seemed like no one took the time to edit this book.

Curses everywhere. Cursed hikes, houses, malls, basements, ex boyfriends, airplanes, contracts….Got a little repetitive. You knew someone living a normal life was gonna suddenly cursed…then the screaming from somewhere begins..

Familiar type stories with a new spin. I think this was very creative and unique when i can read something and think I figured it out, but then I'm wrong because of the familiarity - I know its good! I will be getting more by the author.
