It may be 2024, but when a MacTavish man wants a bride, he steals her.I’m a billionaire. I’m not letting some endangered bird stop me from building my massive computer server plant. When these ridiculous environmental protestors interfere with my building site, I humiliate them before throwing them out.

But when Fee, the feisty head of the group, uses her charms (and my intoxicated state) to kidnap me, I’m entertained enough to allow her to hold me on her Irish grandfather’s farm. When we’re attacked by an enemy intent on ending me, she realizes for the first time that I’m not just a businessman. I’m the head of one of the most powerful Mafias in Europe.

Now, I have to kidnap and marry her, kicking and screaming, to keep her safe. She is utterly captivating.

There’s a goat living in my mansion and a woman who despises everything I stand for… unless we’re in bed. I have to take out my vicious new enemy, deal with my irritating insta-family, and make my new wife fall in love with me.

Nothing to it.

Captivated is book five in the MacTavish Stolen Brides Series, but it can easily be read as a standalone, with no cheating and an HEA.

Ok

Compared to all the other books that Arianna has written this cannot compare.

I have read all her previous books in order back-to-back and this one doesn't feel right...

There was way too much technical talk about eco stuff and protest. I skimmed through a bit of it because when Fee or Alec would talk about the 'save the world' stuff there was too much technical words and it went on for too long.

I feel like all of that Eco talk needed to be minimised and plain speaking. Arianna has done a good job at giving each of the MacTavish brides their own personality but also their own vocation or aim in life. While I do get that Fee was an Eco-Warrior it felt to pushed.

I did enjoy when they teamed up to destroy Leevil but even then when they were describing what they were doing some terminology wasn't so plain.

I would've liked a bigger end result with Alec & the MacTavish's.

Alec gets what he wants no matter who he has to go through, when his new project gets hindered by eco protesters, he finds himself kidnapped by their leader Fee, but Fee soon discovers there's more to aalec than just being a billionaire, he's mafia with enemies and now she's to be his wife to keep her safe. Well written great addition to the series eroes, engaging, steamy, drama, obsessive, mafia romance.

Another great book in a great series. I loved it❤️❤️❤️. This book was a bit different though. It felt more like a romantic comedy and took a fun twist. The characters seemed to enjoy themselves so much🤭🤭. Alec and Fee are quite the duo. Alec isn't bad at all, maybe a bit "naughty" blowing stuff up but not dark. Fee is an activist who, like all activists, does crazy things 😱. I loved her Grandpa(so cool) and Da (so innocent) and of course Noreen 🐐 🤣🤣🤣. Add to this mix Alastair and the whole MacTavish clan💪💪💪🤭🤭🤭 and you get a great story that would make a great movie... Love you, Arianna. I'll be waiting for your next book❤️❤️❤️❤️

Prepare to be Captivated!

We first met Alec Davies in “Auctioned” where he was the best friend of Alastair Taylor. With good reason, Alec has hated the MacTavish clan for a very long time, particularly Cormac Senior. But as fate would have it, Alastair married young Sorcha MacTavish, and Alec discovered an unwelcome truth about his parentage.

As “Captivated” begins, a bitter Alec has been on a downward drinking spiral, and he’s cut himself off from his loved mother and Alastair. Enter Fee Cassidy, an over the top environmentalist, who along with her group of activists, is trying to prevent billionaire Alec and his shady business partner from building a computer server facility. Why? The land for this construction happens to be the home of the declining Wet Willow Tits! They are small brown birds, by the way. Alec wants the protestors removed immediately, and the fact that this site is also the burial ground of Sicilian mafia men he had killed, may have something to do with it!

Alec and Fee are immediately attracted to one another when they first make eye contact at the protest. However, Fee, who always has an axe to grind with someone, decides to kidnap Alec…made easy because she slipped him a roofie. Fee “accidentally” meets Alec later at a dive bar where she flirts with him and he thinks he is going to get lucky! Once she brings his unconscious form to her grandfather’s farm, Fee is not sure what to do with him. Here at the farm we meet Fee’s eccentric, but lovable father and grandfather… not to mention Noreen. However, once Fee discovers that Alec is really a big European Mafia head, the real danger and fun begins! Alec’s people, and much to his chagrin, Alastair and the MacTavish men come to the rescue.

Oh Fee. She has a tendency to be laser focused on what she believes the world should be like, and always stays true to herself and her convictions. But, she’s also quick to misjudge others, including Alec. However, the more time they spend together she is able to see different side to him. Even though Alec and Fee are polar opposites in every way, they develop a deep connection with one another. When they talk, they listen to each other, and work together to defeat their enemies.

My favorite parts of the book are all the scenes with the entire MacTavish clan. They won’t give up on Alec and offer their entire support..and fire power! So be prepared for the wildest wedding ever when Alec and Fee tie the knot! FYI: Poor Father Barclay reluctantly returns to officiate yet another marriage ceremony.

I highly recommend reading the entire MacTavish Stolen Brides Series, and anything Arianna Fraser writes.

A good ending

This is the 5th book in the series and it’s very good. This is Alec’s story, he is the half brother to the McTavish brothers. He is having a hard time accepting them and forgiving his best friend for marrying the sister. He drinking and not taking care of himself. Along comes the h who is an environmentalist who kidnaps him. They have an immediate attraction to each other. He finds out about a plot to kill him so he reaches out to his other family for help. There is a big gunfight at the wedding and they realize their love for each other. Noreen the goat is hilarious. Great plot and epilogue.

enjoyable and fun!

I thought this was a fabulous book! It took me a minute to go ‘why is there a 5th MacTavish book?’ Then I remembered (no spoilers though!) The whole stolen bride motif definitely gets turned on its head in this one, and felt more like a comedy of sorts at times. Very enjoyable and a good fun spicy read!

Cat’s Stats
MMC/FMC- Alec and Fee
Genre- Mafia Romance
Length- novel
Heat- “…and the Author applied the C word, saying ‘Let them be Like unto Bunnies.’ So it is Written and so Shall it be, Amen.”
Series? Y. I believe it is the last one in this series, which makes me sad, but I will be able to reread so I’m happy. So it’s both Boo-Hoo and Woo-Hoo.
Safety? Y. No cheating, no SA.
Triggers- graphic violence, alcohol abuse, roofies, defilement of kitchens, language in two languages, explicit erotic content, an excess of wedding dresses. And Lady Elspeth, who is both a force of nature and the wedding planner from hell. I thank God that she isn’t my mother-in-law, although marrying one of those delicious MacTavishes would be worth it.
Tropes- Abduction, Fake Wedding, Eco-Warrior, Making Things Go Boom, Dysfunctional Family FTW, Badsass Heroine, Enemies to Lovers, A Good Day for the Goat, Hate Sex High, Simply Mad About the Mob, Arm Porn and Arms Porn, Earth Day, Badass Grandpa.
Mewsings
What I liked- I want to shout at the top of my lungs and tell everyone that they have got to read this book. I know that every time I read one of Arianna’s books I say it’s my favorite (even if it’s a reread) but this one is my absolute favorite. Again.
I laughed aloud. I swooned. And I added Alec to my Hizem of book boyfriends and would totally throw hands at anyone who tried to come between us (bring it, Fee. Bookworms are badsasses too).
The characters were delightful, with Granddad a perfect addition to the annals of MacTavii badsasses (I shall forevermore think of them as the MacTavii, thanks Arianna). It was also lovely to see Martin’s oblivious sweetness and the cameos by assorted MacTavii. I enjoyed Fee and Alec and gleefully watched their antics whilst getting revenge. This was a fun book that included just the right amount of sexytime and humor. I loved it. And I am looking forward to the extended epilogue more than to that cake with the free-trade chocolate.
What I didn’t like- I am still confused as to whether Noreen the goat should be made into Chivo Guisado or worshipped as a minor deity.

“Captivated” is the fifth book in the “The MacTavish Stolen Brides Series.” Alec is a businessman/environmentalist by day, but is also one of the most powerful Mafia boss’s in Great Britain/Europe. He is going through a rough time emotionally at this time. Finding out that the MacTavish family are his half brothers and then his best friend married their sister. He is trying to console himself in bottle after bottle of Macallan Scotch Whisky 🥃 plus add women to the equation - he is spiraling out of control. This path is destined to get him in trouble eventually.

Handsome guy (aka Alec) meets beautiful girl (aka Fee), beautiful girl drugs handsome guy. Handsome guy wakes up in moisture ridden cellar chained to a bed. The ironic think is that Alec is not overly concerned and appears to find the who situation humorous.

“Scooping the sandwich up, he took an enormous bite, swallowing so quickly I thought he would choke. It was gone in moments, and he smiled up at me. “Delicious. I can’t remember the time a girl cooked for me on a first date, let alone took me home to meet her family.”

Unfortunately for Fee, she has no idea who she has kidnapped. This story is slightly different from the others in the series but still thoroughly enjoyable! You will enjoy a few laughs - especially at the antics of Nora the goat. I love this line: “GODDAMNIT NOREEN! I WILL TURN YOU INTO STEW IF YOU DO NOT STOP NOW!” In this book, instead of the bride being kidnapped, it is the groom. This scenario provides some great laughs by itself along the way.

As per Arianna’s previous books in the series, she has excelled again - I would describe this genre as “Dark Mafia Romantic Comedy.” A thoroughly enjoyable read from one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Mind you, you may actually fall off your chair laughing at times as well! You will fall in love with Alec and Fee, hoping that everything with work out for them and if they have a future together. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed😊

One of the things I love about all of Ariannas books is the fact that there's more than likely a good dose of humor. The author has the unique skill of mixing a little humor into a serious life threatening situation creating the perfect reading cocktail.
This book is about Alec, Fee and a goat named Noreen.

When a MacTavish wants a bride, he steals her. True.... but what happens when said MacTavish is the one being kidnapped? As is the case with Alec. Taken (as in kidnapped) by an environmentalist protesting against him building a company on land that is the habitat for an endangered bird. Fee is rather proud of herself for having kidnapped billionaire "businessman" Alec, little does she know exactly who said businessman is. She's about to find out when Alecs enemies find his location on Fees grandfathers farm. Realization deals Fee a hard blow and she finally realizes her mistake when Alecs men come to the rescue and a gunfight ensues. Perhaps this was a bad idea? You think?

Now burdened with Fee, her grumpy Irish grandfather and a goat, Alec makes the decision to drag the lot to his mansion, goat included in order to keep them safe. While Noreen sets off to destroy the mansion Alec comes to terms with the fact that the only way to keep Fee safe is to marry her. Now he just needs to get his fiance to agree.

Action packed, fast paced and sometimes funny, this book was such a fun read. Even though Arianna specializes in Mafia Romance, her stories are all so different. There is nothing repetitive in her books and they all have an easy flow. Each book has a different setting, a unique scenario and its own unique key elements which makes reading her books such a pleasurable experience.
Captivated is the perfect conclusion to the MacTavish series.
Highly recommended.

A fun and sexy romp! By MeemsAngel82

This was another classic addition to the crazy world she's created! I love her writing! She has such down to earth charm in each of her characters! Oh my goodness, the antics they get into and the danger they are in and surrounded by-and yet they all do it with such wit and grace and energy! They all might grumble a bit, but they do what they do with style and humor and just down right enjoy ticking people off! Our dangerous man here was from the Ares Academy! I just love the nod and the connection to that college series!! She is a feisty match to this man and can certainly hold her own.

She is tired of the rich stomping all over people and without conscious thought as to how their actions affect the poorer souls, human, animal and land alike. But he is so much more than any regular businessman...

Oh goodness! Ha! I was downright laughing my butt off! The ease of her besting him was fantastic and the entire kidnapping situation and location and her family was FANTASTIC!! Oh my word, I still have tears! They are attracted and might be on the opposing sides for some things...but their steamy attraction is right on! I loved their connection though all of this! And the absolute charm of her family and their farm and animals and their personalities. They were all such a delight! And having to face facts on who he really was? Beautiful! I adore the way they all come together and despite dangerous situations, find time to be humorous and secure loved ones. This was a darling addition to an already crazy but lovable bunch of people! And goats traveling? Haha, still laughing... I received my copy for free but always volunteer my reviews. Charm and wit and passion, a dangerous but lovable bunch of people!

I love dark romance stories where the FMC finds her inner strength through her relationship challenges with the MMC. But there's definitely something to be said for a heroine who is already a complete bada**. Fee and Mafia King Alec tangle when she's protesting the building site at one of his legitimate businesses.

This plotline isn't as grim as some of Arianna's dark mafia romances, but there are allusions to human trafficking that will get you right in the feels. But there is plenty of wonderfully filthy smut and I laughed every time these two tangled. Crime, explosions, smut, love, family and a goat named Noreen. This is definitely a five-star read! Welcome to Arianna's co-writer on this book, Ann Harrington. I've never read any of Ann's stories before, but I'll be looking for them now!

I tried to like this book. It had great banter, a strong female lead, Mafia, spice etc. but I really couldn't get past the part that Alec of all people in the series, allowed himself to get drugged and kidnapped. Not even the environmentalists protecting the home of the endangered Wet Willow Tit bird which also happens to be Alec's personal burial ground can make me forget. Alec's book was one I had been waiting for. He's hatred of the MacTavish family, finding out his true lineage, and the MacTavish family made one wonder how it would turn out. The fact that he totally forgot he was a tough, intelligent man and let himself get roofied ruined it. I give the author props for trying a new tact, but this goes completely against his character. How I enjoyed this story. We are taken along in the life of Alec and Fee. She is a fervent eco-fighter and does everything she can to stop Alec's project. But then she does not know Alec because he is used to always getting what he wants and does not let Fee stop him. , but he never thought that she would kidnap him. As she gets to know him she discovers that he is more than meets the eye. And because she has kidnapped him she has brought disaster upon herself because he is the mafia and has many enemies. Can he keep her safe and protect her from his enemies? Great story with enough drama, romance, steam, tension and enough steam and heat.

I loved this book. Fee and Alec are wonderful together, a hilarious combination. Fee is an environmental saboteur par excellence, with nothing but scorn for the despoilers of the earth. Alec, who we last saw dumbfounded to learn that his biological father is the hated MacTavish who killed the man he believed was his father, is both a legitimate businessman/despoiler of the earth and a mafioso, and after learning his biological father‘s identity, he crawled into a bottle, and hasn’t yet come out at the beginning of the book. So naturally, Fee kidnaps him, because after all, what else is there to do with a drunken despoiler? From there, the story gets funnier and funnier. There is Fee’s grandfather, an aging eco-warrior, her hapless and innocent father, Noreen, the goat spawn of Satan, the endangered willow tit (I kid you not, that’s the name of a bird) and all the MacTavishes and their brides, not to mention the Lady Elspeth. You owe it to yourself to read this book. (Oh, and it also has sexy times, battles, and explosions, and the odd view point from minor characters to add to the fun.).

Book five, the final book of The MacTavish Stolen Brides Series, begins with absolutely hilarious, side splitting, dialogue about the endangered species of small brown and white birds named Willow Tits.

Alec Davies, head of a dangerous mafia organization is partnered to build a new computer facility on land that is heavily contested by Fee Cassidy as being threatening to the environment and refuge to the birds.

When Fee kidnaps drunken Alec he plays along with her until danger comes for him and endangers her and her family. As Alec is a MacTavish in all but name, in the usual family tradition, he marries Fee to protect her. This is a lovely book, fun to read, with the usual crime, danger, thrills and spills and romance. I’m sorry this series has concluded, it was so entertaining.

A story that’s superbly written with great characters and a page turner with a steamy spicy romance as well as a happily ever after ending. Full of drama, suspense, and action that makes this story outstanding.
An environmentalist and a billionaire/mafia boss is brought together in an likely way but as the two got closer they fell in love.
During this story the two as well as both their families as well as some friends try to take down a ruthless businessman as well as a rival mafia family. Everything comes to an end during a wedding between the two.

The last book in this series (although there's a second generation I'll be looking into) and it's really good, but quite different. This time the MFC isn't from a crime syndicate herself, but Fee has an admirable skill-set of her own. It's an outsider's view of these billionaire crime families that is refreshing and humorous.

This is a series of great enemies-to-lovers stories. Clever, feisty women, swoon-worthy men, all kinds of intrigue, and plenty of steamy sex make these novels page-turners.

Alec finds himself roofied and kidnapped by one of the environmental protestors and his life takes a turn. Fee had no idea that the man she kidnapped is the head of one of the European Mafia's. Their encounter had me laughing and cheering them on through the antics and banter not to mention the goat that livened up the mansion. This story was lol fun to read and I enjoyed the colorful characters as well.

CAPTIVATED, Book 5 of THE MACTAVISH STOLEN BRIDES series by Arianna Fraser

Troupe: enemies to lovers, an annoyed billionaire who finds himself kidnapped by a sassy activist, hot attraction, grumpy grandfather, ornery goat, meddling family, gunfight, happy-triggered brothers, dry humor, HEA—Arianna Fraser has done an outstanding job with the last brother of the MacTavish clan in CAPTIVATED. I highly recommend reading all five books of the MacTavish clan.

Cameron is not married to Mala
Such a same that the dinamics with the McTavishs is not written …or in detail
Fee is boring and i dont get the vibe that she is inlove with Ale
Alec is hatefull for no reason…it is a bit too much
The spicy scene underwitten

I love the other books…the stories are funny and with a vibe …this on doesnt have such a thing…

And we’ve swung back around to being very fun. Alec’s story initially was a bit a confusing. The scene changes sometimes were too abrupt and a few times had to back to see if I’d accidentally skipped a page - I hadn’t. The side characters, the diabolical menace that is Fee was well matched to Alec. I liked the idea of using vast wealth and influence to punish corperate wrong doers.

Boring

I've never read a Mafia book and watch the mafia leader gets roofied and kidnapped by a girl. Where were his men and the guards. I wouldn't waste my time on this book the cover picture says it all looks like he graduated
