This was a sweet, sexy seductive read with sweet dessert every women would love to be a part of. Kat is in college living with her best friend who is an escort. When her friend over books her time she ask Kat for help. Kat being the sweet lady you every met agrees to help thus meeting and agreeing to escort Damon for the evening. The time she spends with him will change her life forever.
When Damon meets Kat for the first time his breath is taken away leaving him feeling things he hasn’t felt in a long time. Bring on the desserts with what happens next will keep you turning the pages as you laugh your way through this delightful read. I loved the characters, the plot was wonderful. This was such a fun read.

Katarina Cross has her life on track. She's about to finish college and try to find a job in her field. She agrees to help a friend by escorting a business man to a charity function, and things seem to go in directions she doesn't expect from there. Damon Noble is a successful business man who is not interested in relationships. he pays escorts to attend business functions with him and leaves it at that. When Katarina accompanies him to a fundraiser as a stand-in for another escort, he finds himself wanting something he hasn't wanted in years.
I read this book straight through once I started. The story line is a little predictable and similar to other books in this genre, but there are aspects about these characters that still feel fresh. I loved the way the author tied in a sexy impromptu book club where Katarina and Damon can talk about similar stories and tie it in to their own story. Katarina is pretty hard not to like. She is sweet, open and honest. She is a little inexperienced, but not naive. Damon is a little challenging, and stiff (no pun intended), but is also very sexy and good to Katarina despite his own personal challenges. The sexual chemistry between these two characters is very hot, and watching the tension rise between the two of them was a lot of fun. I loved that they were each willing to experiment with the fantasies of the other. It added an extra level of steam to everything. The supporting characters in this story were also characters that I came to care about. I enjoyed this book and would gladly read more by this author in the future.

I adored this book from beginning to end. I had never read Kelly Collins before and am just ecstatic that I have the next two books in this series to instantly blaze through, as I have not had my fill. I found the story exceptionally well written, clever, witty, addictive, deliciously steamy, and totally delightful. I enjoyed the story line and the light and breezy banter and repartee between the characters, but I was just devastated when things went south and feared I wasn’t going to see my desired HEA. No spoilers, but I am quite satisfied - yet cannot wait to start book 2. I have a new favorite author to fan-girl.

This is one of those books that have so many great things going for it…extremely likable male & female lead characters that are honest, expressive with their feelings and exude maturity, strong supportive characters and best of of…it’s NOT PART OF A SERIES!!! Don’t get me wrong, some of my favorite authors write books that are not only in a series, but actually in long term series… I’m talking some series that have been ongoing for YEARS! And I love them and am obsessively loyal to them… the problem arising from almost 90% of new book releases also being part of a series is that I just don’t have the time or emotional energy to commit to any more long-term series loving relationships. But the stand-alone’s…oh man, they’re like my guilty pleasure quickies in between my other, ummm….”committed” book series relationships.
Ok, so enough about my disturbing analogy of my personal “book love” liaisons. The fact that this book delivers a wonderfully written love story that just melted my heart is icing on the cake of it being a stand-alone. I’d almost forgotten what it feels like to end a book with a sense of closure that was actually satisfying without feeling the ending was rushed or with focus being removed from the main characters in order to spotlight a relationship for side characters to set the foundation for the next book. It was just so refreshing to meet the main characters, Katarina and Damon, and follow the process of their relationship from start to finish. Even better was the maturity in which they conducted themselves. Neither of them pretended to be perfect and not only recognized the flaws in themselves and each other, but they didn’t allow those flaws to drive their actions and more importantly, reactions to challenges they encountered. They both carried themselves with dignity… and that’s something sadly lacking, not only in other books of the romance genre, but just life in general. I carve time out in my world so that I can escape from some of the dark and heart wrenching occurrences of our everyday reality, and it’s books like this one that provide that little bit of much needed fantasy and mental relaxation. Thank you Kelly Collins for creating an awesome love story that was truly an enjoyable little escape for me!

I just finish reading this book, and I love it, love the characters, and love how the book turn out to be, this is such a sweet story, I am gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away.
This is the story about Katarina (A.K.A.)Kat, and Damon, Kat is normal hardworking girl, she is also upfront, no nonsense, determined, headstrong, and is about to finish college, all she want is to find that special some one and fall in love, well that all changes when her best friend Emma double book herself, Emma is an escort Not A (Prostitute) she gives her time for money, when she ask Kat to help her out Kat agree to do it, on the other end Damon is a wealthy, high powered businessman, when hi find out that Emma double book herself and that she was having someone else for him, he understood what he was not expecting was the feelings that he had for Kat, when he got to Emma and he saw Kat he couldn't take his eyes away from her, after they introduction they when to the party, after having a wonderful night together he tried to pay Kat, but she refuse his money, that was the night that Damon knew he wanted to see her again, but Damon don't date and he have baggage that he needs to deal with, after that night Kat couldn't understand the feeling she was having, would they finally give up and start to get to know each other.
I really love and enjoy reading this book, I love the way that Kat and Damon fall in love, love the banter they have, and love it how Damon bring Kat out of her confer soon, just love reading this book. Just Deserts by Kelly Collins a sugar sweet five-star read. This is the first book in the Decedent series. The first book by this author I have read, it won’t be the last, its hot and heavy and not suitable for less mature readers, as it does contain scenes of a sexual nature, but nothing extreme.
“Life is uncertain. Eat desert first” quote from Ernestine Ulmer, this quote sums this book up the book shows that life is uncertain, so you should take every day while you can. Don’t live in the past as if you do, you may lose your future.
This tells the story of Katrina Cross, she is a pure hearted individual, and just wants to finish school and find a job in her field, Kat is quiet and studious, she works hard to achieve her goals, working full time in a coffee shop to pay her school bills, she would do almost anything she can to help people whom she loves. When her best friend and roommate Emma asks her a massive favour, she initially refuses. Emma runs an escort service that has enabled her to pay for her house and school, it’s something that Kat would do personally, but she understands why Emma would. After much begging as Emma has double booked herself and needs Kats help to take one date with a man she has been out with several times, he’s rich and hot and it’s just a charity gala dinner, he just wants a pretty, educated lady on his arm as he doesn’t date. He just pays for company when he needs a date to a function.
When she agrees to go on one date the man who Kat agrees to go on that one date with is Damon Noble, and that one date will change everything for both of them.
This book is great, it sucks you in until you can’t wait to read the next page, and then the next until you have read the last, then makes you sad as you have finished the story.

It was okay. Loads of dessert, I would have liked a little more substantial romance out of the "bedroom" though. Katarina is a great character and deserves her HEA. Damon, I just don't know about him, I am just not convinced that he loves her. All the dessert really didn't bother me but the ending was not convincing and fell flat, the anticipation build-up was there but I'm still not convinced that he is really ready to be with her forever or capable to freely communicate with her about any or everything. His mother was great & her family is comical. Her friend Emma was a great supporting character.

The thing is, Damon seems so distraught when she breaks up with him after he let his ex-girl kiss him in front of everyone in the club then he deserts her at the "let's talk this out" dinner. Days later, she goes to find him after being told by his Mom that he is missing then he leaves again to give her time...huh? A few weeks ago he wanted to explain & couldn't make it without her and as soon as he gets a second chance he disappears until the surprise dinner party confessing his love for her in front of everyone, really??? He can't talk to her one on one for weeks but he suddenly has so much to say to her at the party. The things he said were really nice and heartwarming but he just came across as to withdrawn emotionally the whole book.

What happens when your best friend owns an escort service and needs your help? You become an escort for the night for a wealthy business man who doesn’t date. Kat is the typical college student in her final year. Her days consist of school, work and no time for a social life. So when her friend and roommate, Emma, who owns her own escort service needs a favor. Emma turns to the one person who knows her better than anyone, Kat. What was supposed to be a one night thing and just a date turns into something so unexpected.
Damon is your typical young entrepreneur but that is where it ends. Damon does not do the dating thing and hiring an escort is easier for a man in his position. What he didn’t expect was the pull he felt toward Kat. Joining Damon and Kat threw their ups and downs and them trying to figure out their relationship through a lot of misunderstandings and Damon’s stand on relationships was a great page turner.
With this book it took me some time to get into it but once I did, I started to get into it. Not only do we get Damon and Kat but we also see the startup of Anthony and Emma relationship. This to me was a great start to a great series

I absolutely adored Katarina, although she seems way to perfect to be real, you just can not hate her. Her best friend and roommate holds a job that is not conventional so when she asks Katarina to take her place at an event and make a quick $300 Katarina is hesitant. But the end result was more then she could ever have asked for.
Damon is a a rich man with a pain filled past. So it is only natural that he is hesitant to be in any relationship. But when Katarina rebuffs his advances it makes him want her all the more. To the point he goes out of his way to giver exactly what she wants in a relationship.
This was a great read that makes you not want to put it down. The writing style was a little different but once you get sucked in, you don't even notice the writing style all you focus on is the amazing romance.

I think my heart just melted into a big pile of mushy love…sigh…
What a beautiful and touching story. So in this book we are taken through this journey that is Kat and Damon’s relationship. It’s an exploration of their feelings, their intimacy, their past and their future.

But there is something else that I loved about this book and that was the quiet moments between Damon and Kat where they shared a lot of what they were feeling with each other, I felt the story had a solid balance between the physical and the emotional aspects of their relationship.
And let’s not forget the supporting cast of characters like Emma, Kat’s BFF; Rose, Damon’s Mommy Dearest and Trevor, the boss everyone wishes they had. I really loved Trevor!!! They all add to the story in a way that leaves this book chock full of tender moments, inside jokes and absolute devotion. You will like this story so much, that having “Just Dessert” may just not be enough ;).

I really liked this book. Katarina Cross agrees to help her friend and roommate, Emma who is escort. The only escort who doesn’t offer any extra services if you know what I mean. She just has to accompany a man to a dinner for night. If only she knew that one choice would change everything. Damon has had a bad experience with his last girlfriend so now he just hires someone for his needs. That is until he meets Kat. He wants to try something more with her but his way. He wants is to be like business he hires and pays her for her time that she would spend with him. Kat can’t do that. She wants a real relationship, heart and flowers, love. She is attracted to Damon without a doubt. Be she doesn’t want some contract relationship with him. Damon sees the book Kat is reading while he picking her up and gets a copy himself to read. They start a private book club and meet every Wednesday to talk about it. During these meeting they find a connection. I liked how Kat stood by her decisions and didn’t change her mind just because she was attracted to Damon. Damon has a reason for wanting things the way he does and there is nothing wrong with that. He has a past and he hasn’t gotten over it. He has moved on just not gotten over what happened to him. This is affecting his present now with Kat. Kat understands that he has a past. Everyone does. She is there for him until it hurts her, and then can you really blame her for taking a step back. Damon overcomes a lot in this book and it was great reading about it. The ending is so romantic. There is a bit of everything in this book. I am excited to read the next book in this series.

I started this book last night with the notion of just read at most a chapter before bed. Before I knew it it was 6am! The story of Katarina and Damon is one that I need to have in paperback, not just ebook. I laughed and was on the verge of tears throughout this book. (not unhappy tears) Kelly does an amazing job portraying this story. You can feel the love, heartache, and passion. Every emotion is perfectly wrote out in a way that makes it appear as if you are in the story with them. Damon is one hot commodity that I could not get enough of.
I could not just read one chapter, I had to know what happened next. It was as if I was watching their story unfold right before my eyes and all I could do was root for them both. Damon has a troubled heartbreaking past and Katarina is pure and innocent in her experiences and life. Both hard working people, that want nothing in life but love and a great amount of dessert.
After reading this book I find myself wanting more of their story and wanting to know what happens with this couple next. I really hope Kelly writes another book giving us more of the beautiful Katarina and the breath taking Damon. I feel they have more to say and more passion to be seen. I think I will be taking my dessert first from now on.

This is one of those books for me that just made me smile THE ENTIRE TIME! Sometimes you just need a good, fast, sexy read and this book definitely delivered!
Katarina finds herself doing a favor for her best friend that lands her meeting one of the hottest bachelors in town. Damon is immediately taken with her, thus their sexy romance begins.
I loved how open these two characters were with one another. There were never any secrets and they talked about their desires and pasts. This bonded them early on and made me fall in love with them both. The sex in this book was SMOKIN' HOT and I couldn't get enough of it. I would highly recommend this book for those looking for a steamy page turner! I'm chomping at the bit to get more in this series from Kelly!

I was hooked on this book from the very beginning. Katarina and Damon stole me heart! At first I was worried about how the story started. I thought it would just be another smut filled novel , but that was not the case. While there are several steamy scenes that is not all this book is about. Katarina and Damon's story has it all. It is a great romance but it also has a little tragedy and drama that keeps you interested and turning pages. I felt the connection with the story and the characters. Damon's past broke my heart. The way that the two characters connect and get to know each other is very interesting. I loved their journey I would recommend this book to other readers.

I thought this book was so well written. The interactions between the characters, Damon kat, rose, Trevor, were so real and very entertaining. I felt the ending was a little abrupt. The accident with kat and Damon's self awareness could have played a much deeper role. I did shed a tear at what Kat felt was a betrayal. It was so much more than just understanding what she saw. I never cry at books and this one got me. If you want a wonderful, fun story, this is a great book to read!

Kats got her life sorted. She plans to finish college and then get a job. When her friend asks her to help out as she has double booked Kat ends up meeting the delicious Damon. Damons a successful guy who employs an escort when he needs someone on his arm.

This is the first book in the Decadent Series. Katarina Cross & Damon Noble have a chance meeting that changes both there lives. A compelling written and developed novel with no plot holes. The premise of the novel is captivating. With engaging lead & supporting character's. A sweet & sexy spicy novel that is decadently delicious. Looking forward to reading Book 2 which is Katarina's best friend Emma's story.

A Must read!
This was an amazing read. The connection they have is immediate and the chemistry is out of this world. The loss he's had in his life has sucked him into a pit and doesn't want to let him go, but with love, patience and honesty, he slowly drags himself out of that pit. Definitely a must read!

Loved this!
This was so good. Katrina is independent, strong and well adjusted (weird, I know) and Damon is successful in business but not in his private life. The two of them together is fun, and the things they explore with each other is hot. The friends and family are enjoyable and I can't wait to read the next one.

I loved this book! It had the right amount sweet and spicy! The bedroom scenes are off the charts smoking hot!! The characters are strong, with intriguing personalities, and are easy to fall in love for....DAMON especially! I hope to read more from these characters in the future.

Cute story with an unconventional beginning. Just like the name implies, it was sweet and, at times even decadent. Kelly tells a great story with just enough smut to make it good, but not so much it's overwhelming. I look forward to reading the next book in the series!
