My spring break in Cancun was supposed to be fun… full of sunshine, cocktails, and bad karaoke. But then the unthinkable happened. One minute I was going to the ice machine, and the next? Darkness.
I woke up in a nightmare. Kidnapped and at the brutal mercy of strangers.
And that’s when he showed up.
Damiano Cappitani.
Dangerous as hell, intense, and way too attractive for his own good, Damiano took care of business with ruthless efficiency.
The kicker? He’s the son of the man who bought me.
Yeah, let that sink in.
How had I gone from a carefree vacation with my best friends to running for my life with the son of the devil?
Damiano should have been the villain in my story, but somewhere along the way, the lines became blurred. Now I wasn’t sure if he was my savior, my captor, or… the man I loved.
My name is Evie Bouvier, and this is how I found Love Without Control.
It’s over. Done. Finito. I can hardly believe it. Wow. How did we get here? The Bouvier Family Saga has come to an end, and I’m left sitting here, processing a whirlwind of emotions. Evie, oh Evie… you finally got your happy ending, and my heart swells with a bittersweet joy for you. Your journey full of turmoil, pain, heartbreak, and yet, so much beauty has left an indelible mark on my soul.
I’ve read all of Jade's books, but I can say, without a doubt, that this one has been the hardest to read with the most tears. There’s something about this story that pulls at the deepest parts of me, and I can’t help but get lost in it. I think I’ve cried more in these pages than in any other book I’ve ever read. The depth of emotion is overwhelming in the best possible way.
I still can’t quite wrap my head around the fact that it’s over. The Bouvier Family Saga this incredible, tumultuous, gut wrenching saga, is complete. It's been a long road, almost two decades of heartache, joy, growth, and transformation. The way Jade weaves the ups and downs, the highs and lows of life, is unlike anything else. You’re never prepared for what she throws at you, and the emotional rollercoaster is relentless.
The beginning of this book… wow. It hits you like a freight train, catching you completely off guard. And there, right there beside Evie, is Damiano. Strong, steadfast, and unwavering, he’s the perfect counterpart to her chaos, to her spirit. He keeps her grounded, keeps her in check, but does so with so much love, care, and understanding. Together, they embark on this journey , a journey that spans nearly 17 years, a journey that challenges them, that tests their limits, that scars them, but ultimately leads them to this beautiful moment of resolution.
The pain, the trauma, the joy, the laughter, the PTSD it’s all so raw and real. It’s a story that tugs at your heartstrings, that makes you feel every emotion with such intensity. Jade has a way of making you live through each experience with her characters. You feel their pain as your own, their joy is your joy. It’s a deep, all-consuming connection, and I can’t believe it’s come to an end. My heart is shattered in the most beautiful way.
Through every twist and turn, through every moment of heartbreak and every breath of triumph, I can’t help but fall deeper and deeper in love with D and E. They’re not just characters, they’re a part of me now. Their love, their struggles, their growth it’s something I’ll carry with me for a long time. D and E forever. That’s all I can say. They’ve marked my heart, and no matter how many times I close this book, I know I’ll always carry a piece of them with me.
What a fabulous, endearing, soul stirring story. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful conclusion to such a tumultuous, life altering journey. Thank you, Jade, for sharing this with us. It was worth every single tear.
Okay, so first things first (because I am me and …), I’m not even a little bit in love with this cover, but this blurb is #onclick worthy. Well done. I’m not saying it’s a bad cover, per say, but it just doesn’t do it for me. It’s just an opinion, don’t anyone come at me. Now, the story … well, that’s a whole other ballpark!
LISTEN, if you’re reading this because you follow me or whatever but have never read Jade Dollston, fix that in your life and do it pronto! The first time I experienced a Jade story was just last summer, so no judgement here, but you are really missing out if she isn’t on your radar.
This story. This family. It’s impressive. It’s dramatic. It’s impactful. And Evie’s story … well, that’s a beacon of hope, a lighthouse light on a fogy night, an inspiration, and a heart so big it might just be too big for anyone’s chest.
I’ve been captivated and enthralled by this family since I first laid *ears* (lol) on them back in July of 2024 and they have never really left my heart since then. For me, the stories picked up in emotional #feels as the stories unfolded, each with their own brand of gut-punch but also a whole lot of heart & hope. SO MUCH HOPE. This is a series that I will revisit time and time again because no matter how many times I read/listen to it, I will never tire of the love.
Love Without Control took me for a ride. It was a ride I did not see coming, and that made it that much more special to me. I love a story that surprises me, not with dramatics or awe, but with the love it pours out. I don’t want to tell you any details of Evie’s journey because every moment is special. So special that I didn’t know how special they were until I read them. This story deals with some life circumstances that do not always end in a HEA for some or rather for many and the respect that was taken in the story for these circumstances brings tears to my eyes even now as I type this review. Life is made up of choices. Everything that happens stems from choices. Sometimes, the cards you are dealt don’t give you a chance for a choice, but a choice made by others, and that’s the dark part of life no one wants to find themselves in, but many do, and that’s just … I don’t have any words for that. Evie found herself inside one of those circumstances, but there was a light for her … (read the book to find out more #sorrynotsorry)
I am both sad and really happy this series has come full circle. I’m sad because I love this family deeply. I felt this family. I felt their stories. My heart broke for them and sang a hallelujah for them. I’d like to be in their family. I’d like to see their children thrive. But alas, I must settle for them coming full circle in life and being together to grow their family and love each other. sigh
This book was just everything we needed! The best ending to this series! This is book 4 of the Bouvier family Saga and the story of Evie Bouvier who was kidnapped and trafficked on a college spring break trip with her friends to be sold on the black market to mafia don Luca Cappitani. Damiano Cappitani Luca's son it tasked to travel to pick up Evie but he's determined to save her instead. With plans to bring her back to her family, things take a horrible turn when Damiano finds out Luca plans their death after learning who Evie is. They fake their death and go into hiding, disguising themselves and with new identities as Dane and Eden.
Over time Eden grew to love Dane the same man she was supposed to hate but saved her. Their relationship became stronger through the years and after 17 years she is finally able to reunite with her family. This reunion was the most heartwarming and perfect ending to the series.
This was such an emotional rollercoaster. I laughed, I cried, I gasped. I couldn't put this book down! This is a dark story with dark topics, please check trigger warnings.
Thank you so much Jade Dollston for an e-ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I am so glad I found you on Tiktok with Book 1 and I've been hooked ever since!
Jade Dollston is a great writer, her creativity and wit is one of my favorite parts of her books.
This was an admittedly tougher read for me, and rightfully so given the subject matter. That was entirely the point. Sensitive topics were handled with care and the MMC was a kind and generous man who fit the description of man down bad and also a fierce protector. This story had a lot of tension and challenging topics so mind the trigger warnings here.
The spice was spiiiicy. I’m looking forward to the next stories Jade decides to tell 💕
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book, and i was not disappointed. Ever since book 1 of the Bouvier Family series, I have always wanted to know Evie story and what happened to her, and Jade did not disappoint. I loved the story between Evie and Damiano and how, from the beginning of their meeting, Damiano was always there to protect Evie and keep her safe.
This book is everything! The perfect ending to the Bouvier series
I had so many emotions when I was reading Evie and Danes story. I cried, sobbed my heart out but laughed out loud aswell.. it was perfect!
A lot of answers for questions from previous books but most of all how great it was to read how Evie survived her ordeal. She is so strong, resilient and full of hope and love.
Dane, well... he's just the perfect package. Hot, dark but oh so sweet on the inside.
Truly a must read and I will be reading this series over and over cause it is that good!
My heart broke but Jade put it back together, piece by piece!
Now, don't just go, run and get this amazing book, you will absolutely love it! A definite MUST read!
Jade Dollston you are an absolute writing goddess! Everyone always hates to see one of their favorite series’s end but you gave us such a torturously beautiful story to go out with.
I knew I was going to love Evie Bouvier the moment she ordered Dr. Pepper and she didn’t disappoint. She spent half her life making some of the hardest choices anyone could ever make to protect her loved ones after surviving a horrible ordeal. From the beginning she was a sassy, take no crap girl and she evolved into an amazing woman with an equally amazing life even though the deck was stacked against her.
Although Evie was my favorite, Dane was a wonderful man despite his upbringing. From the moment he saw a beautiful girl in danger, he turned his life upside down to save and protect her. Life in hiding could’ve been so much worse for the two of them but the genuine feelings they developed turned into an unbreakable bond. He’d do anything to protect and give her everything she ever wanted just to see her smile.
This story deals with on page human trafficking and the effects it has on everyone close to it. Emotions run high while reading this so be prepared for everything from laughs to tears. The Bouviers really make you feel!
The end has come, the Saga of the Bouvier family is complete and they are whole. The joy, the laughter, the banter, this whole series is phenomenal but this last book ties all questions, suspicions, and speculation down!
Evie and Damiano, what can I say?? Sweet Evie, coming face to face with her savior who is her rock, her calm in a storm of chaos uprooting her entire life!
This book is the epitome of hurt, healing, and a family bond like no other! I’m so sad to see this series end but knowing the Bouvier’s are now whole, complete, and healing leaves a mark on my soul!
This was my 1st Jade Dollston book and I am not disappointed. A little disappointed that I didn't discover her for book 1...but very happy.
This book did not follow the usual kidnap, love, dangerous killer stories, and I dig it. Every guess I made about what was gonna happen next or who was gonna to do what, was wrong. I gotta say, when it comes to reading a book, I love being wrong, well done!
Absolute perfection. I loved this book. It was so much more than I expected. The characters and their story are exceptional and their growth is great. I am so very sad this series is over.
A perfect ending to the Bouvier series. Since book 1 I was in denial and refused to believe that Evie was gone. I held out hope because in my mind it simply couldn't be. This family has had some ups and down throughout their lives and although we had happy endings for Auburn, Monty and Cruz and was not completely satisfied until this book.
Jade did such a good job with such a sensitive and triggering topic. Human Trafficking is not something to turn a blind eye too simply because it happens more often than not. Evie never in a million years thought this would be her reality.
My heart broke for her. Although she was rescued in the nick of time by Damiano who was tasked by his mafia father to retrieve her; Evie's life as she knew it was over because although she had a semblance of safety with Damiano; they weren't truly safe until his father was dealt with. Evie literally went from being an almost human trafficked victim to semi prisoner because she had to go underground for the foreseeable future leaving her family in torment and pain not knowing where she was or if she was even alive.
Heartache, Loss of Family and Friends, PTSD, Going Underground and off the Grid was a lot for the 19-year-old fashion heiress to endure but through it all she never loses her tenacity, witty sarcasm, sassiness and humor. Evie was such a brave and strong individual you couldn't help but root for her till the end.
Damiano was the son of a mafia tyrant who despised his father with a passion. The day he saw a video of the young woman his father had purchased; he knew his life was on a detour towards another direction. After one look at Evie, he knew his time in the mafia was over and that alone places a big bullseye on their backs. Damiano was ruthless, strong, obsessive, protective and supportive when it came to Evie. He knew she thought of him as the son of the enemy and even hated him, but he refused to give up on her. Talk about a healing love. Damiano loved Evie through her pain and helped her to heal without complaint or reservation. He truly loved everything about Evie, smart mouth and all.
Evie and Damiano had a long road ahead of them. Booth having to adopt new live and identities in an effort to survive; until survival wasn't the only motivating factor. Evie grew to love Damiano and Damiano was in it to win it and allowed Evie to take whatever time she needed to realize what he already knew in his heart.
The reunion nearly broke me. Evie comes from a loving a supportive family and the emotions that the Monty, Auburn, Paul and others felt literally leapt off the page. You could feel each and every hug, fallen tear and mending of hearts after so many years of pain and anguish.
This was a phenomenal series. Jade never disappoints. Her books are Funny, Spicy and always pull at the heartstrings. I am so glad I had the opportunity to take this journey with the Bouvier Family because this last book was definitely worth all of the pain, tears and uncertainty experienced while reading each book in the series.
This is book four in the Bouvier Family Saga series. It provides readers with the answers we have been waiting for about Evie Bouvier’s disappearance. As readers discover in the first three books of this series, Evie’s disappearance has haunted her family for years, each member desperately missing her presence in their life. From the day of her disappearance until her reunion almost two decades later, Evie, who became Eden for her safety, never stops yearning for her family. She could never have imagined that it would take nearly two decades for her to reunite with her family and devoted friends, or that she would fall in love with Damiano/Dane who rescued her from her kidnappers.
I adore Evie/Eden. She is, above all, a survivor. She fought her captors, stood up for herself, prepared herself for battle and sacrificed her need and desire to be with her family in order to protect them from a monster, a monster who happens to be the father of her rescuer. As Eden, she has learned to keep moving forward, to find joy in little things, and to open her heart to the man who keeps showing her that her safety and happiness are his priorities. Always vigilant and careful, Eden and Dane manage to build a life as a couple, a life that is as happy as it can be for a life led in hiding and away from her family who still wonder, wait and grieve Evie’s absence.
Damiano/Dane is a great book boyfriend. He may have been raised to be a killer, but baking, (a skill learned from his beloved mother), and loving Evie/Eden are his passions. As Dane, he uses his baking skills to help him to build an almost normal life with Evie. Eluding his evil father, a man who won’t hesitate to kill his own son, is important, but his number one priority is keeping Evie/ Eden safe. He was smitten when he first saw a video of her, but her courage, sass and feistiness have earned Dane’s devotion. While they have made a good life for themselves over the years, he vows to get her back to her family as soon as it is safe to do so, even knowing that it could mean the end of their relationship.
Their story is emotional and sometimes gritty and fraught with danger. The slow evolution of their relationship, the glimpses into the lives of her family without her, the new relationships Eden and Dane forge with their neighbours, and the long awaited Bouvier family reunion are all riveting. The conclusion to their story is all I hoped it would be and more. This is a book that cannot be forgotten and is impossible to put down once you begin to read it.
I would give this book many more than five stars if I could. It has my highest, heartfelt recommendation.
Outstandingly well written book by Jade Dolston. An all consuming book series that has your heart literally pounding for release . The last in series , here we are with Evie as she gets captured , and the reader is enraptured by all the emotions on display and the raw energy of those hidden ,kept at bay. Damiano is sent by his father to pick up Evie who has been enslaved to be sold. But on seeing this siren he decides to be bold ,saving her instead of doing his father’s bidding. They are now on the run and finding out that the old man on finding out who she is has put a price on her head as well as his and wants them ridding . Taking on a new identity and themselves off the radar is where they now are. In limbo ,no place to go. She is now Eden ,he is Dane. Facing a future so insane. There’s a rollercoaster of emotions with this absolutely hard hitting and amazing story. She doesn’t want to succumb to this man ,her enemy’s son ,but if not for him she wouldn’t have a chance of being on the run . She would most likely be taken out with a gun . He vows to make her safe and get her back in the clutch of her family’s keeping. Meanwhile there’s a lot of tears and sacrifice and years go by never sleeping. Never knowing when danger is near ,just living each and every day in fear . But after almost two decades pass ,the end of the torment is almost here at last . Can they get a break , hold freedom in their grasp or gasp and go again with the endless inane belief that they are never getting relief. A breath until their last one always to be on the run…This ?…. There are no words I can utter that covers my mind,my emotional state after reading this book. It’s powerful and it has you in its hook this series does . Every last drop of emotion and devotion to see the series out . Without a doubt this is one mighty series you can scream and shout how stunning it is. And wow you can remember those raw scenes ,feel the emotions and cry and sigh but you don’t know why. The characters are here in my heart and mind . Jade Dolston this series blew my mind . I don’t mind saying in fact it’s the epitome of brilliance . Hot ,dark ,sweet spicy repeat but most of all leaves it complete. It’s slaying and I ain’t playing. So freaking many tears of happiness, joy and terrifying fear, lies right here in the Bouvier series. Leaves all others on their knees for the whole storyline which was divine . The storytelling is amazing, immersive and all consuming.
Jade, why do you make me love your characters so much I end up crying when the series end? I was hesitant with this book because I knew once I've finished I will have to say bye to the Bouvier family. But I was equally excited as we heard about Evie from book 1. This was a long book but it was required and so worth the time. Evie is the only girl in the Bouvier family and her disappearance really broke her family. She had been missing for 17 years. Evei was an absolute super woman. Despite being kidnapped she showed so much strength. Loved her sassy mouth and her quirky facts. She really was awesome. Damiano aka Dane was the perfect book boyfriend. Son of an evil Mafia Don Luca has left him broken. He is so sweet, caring, patience and had a super hot mouth. When Evie was being sold to his father, Dane decided he will save her even if it means death for him. I fell for him then. He was willing to give up his life to save her. Instead they both had to hide to survive Luca and save her family too. It was heartbreaking for Evie to give up her family and see them from afar. It was an emotional ride and Jade covered all the aspects so well. I loved seeing how Dane helped Evie through her trauma and built her up. The way their relationship progressed slowly. It was a slow burn but so necessary given the circumstance. Their chemistry and the spice was *chefs kiss*. Be prepared to get all hot under the collar. I will leave the rest for you to discover. I loved the family reunion and may have cried too. It was just beautiful and the warmth could be felt through Jades words. Also Jade thank you soooo much. This book will forever hold a special place in my heart, I cried over that too hahaha. It may be the end but at least I can start the whole series again when I miss them. Can't wait for your next book, sounds exciting already. Eeekkk.
'Sweetheart, if you lower your hand another inch, you’re going to find out exactly how much I like being in bed with you.'
“I’ve heard a woman’s c¥m is an excellent beard conditioner.”
“Did you get a master’s degree in dirty talking?” “A doctorate,” I corrected dryly."
“If my wife has needs, I will take care of them. Any time. Any place.”
“You’re so beautiful and strong, Wildcat. You may have cracks, but you’re not broken.”
"In the light and in the darkness… I choose you."
“Damiano,” I whispered. “I love both sides of you.”
“Love Without Control” is the fourth and final book in “The Bouvier Family Saga.” Jade has certainly left the best for last and what a story to end it with. Auburn and Monty’s sister Evie disappeared sixteen years ago whilst in Mexico on holiday with her friends. One moment she is here and the next, she is gone, without a trace. She is taken by a human trafficking ring to be sold and is bought by Luca Cappitani, the underboss of one of the most powerful crime families in New York City as his new toy.
“The caramel-haired beauty also had a number taped to her chest, which was exposed by the light-purple swimsuit she was wearing. She was gorgeous, but the most striking thing about her was the resolute glare in her bright blue eyes.”
“But she was more than a girl. She may be young, but she was a woman. A feisty woman that had fascinated me with a set of blue eyes and rebellious middle fingers.”
He sends his son, Damiano, to collect his prize. Before even driving off Damiano decided that there was no way he was handing that fierce angel over to be abused by the man he despised. No way in hell. Everything comes to a head when his father finds out who she really is the daughter of Paul Bouvier. He gets a message as they are about to get on the helicopter back to New York, [unknown]: DO NOT GET ON THAT HELICOPTER!
With both their lives in danger, they are now on the run, indefinitely. If his father finds them, they are both dead. Evie, aka Eden and Damiano, aka Dane, are forced to rely on each other to stay alive. The two of them settle down in a beautiful cottage by the ocean and start a life, whilst in hiding, together. They form an unbreakable bond, enemies become friends, friends become lovers, lovers become happily ever after. Evie misses her family and wonders if she will ever see them again ….
You will fall in love with Damiano and Evie, hoping that everything will work out for them. I guarantee, as with the previous books in the series, you will love it! There are numerous twists and turns - from page to page, chapter to chapter, you will not be able to put it down! The story is intriguing, capturing you from the start - I could not put it down. At times I was “figuratively” on the edge of my seat at times! Overall, I would highly recommend this book - you will not be disappointed 😊
I have needed a day, 24 hours, to find the words to say goodbye to this series, and this book blew my mind, my heart, my soul. Evie has been with us since the beginning, and I cannot even describe how amazing this feels that she too now has her HEA. And what a man Damiano (Dane) is.
I have read every single one of Jade's books, and there has been tears sprinkled along the way, but this one tore my heart out, and for the last 3rd of the book (and she is thick!), I sobbed. The emotions I felt whilst reading Jades words, I even had to pause and send a voice note to Jade at one point, I just could not process how amazing it was.
This book had my heart in a chokehold from the first few lines, and I don't think it ever was let go. Thank god for blood pressure medication and already being slightly prepared that this was going to be an emotional read of the highest level.
Damiano (Dane) from the first moment he saw Evie, on a video, and those blue eyes pierced is very soul he knew what he needed to do. He was there every step of the way, literally thru good times and bad. And, as the reader, you are there, and can feel those moments. Thru the other books prior (so even though this is a interconnected standalone, you honestly need to read them all in order) we are shown how each of Evie's brothers have dealt with the 'loss' of her, and even though 17 years goes by, they never forgot about her. The reason for why there was no contact after all that time, *cue more tears, was what any of us would do, the whole Bouvier Family are imbedded in my very being. Jade, honest to god, how are you so friggen amazing!?! I guess it is hard to review such an amazing book, an amazing series, and not spoil anything, so I won't, you just need to READ IT. Evie and Dane are everything, and how Dane was throughout, and with Evie as she recovered, discovered and healed, I cannot even begin to describe. I love him, I claim him, he is mine mine MINE. This book was emotional, powerful, cleansed my soul, but they will never be closed in either my mind or my heart.
Bittersweet . Heart-Breaking . Beautiful When a series you have loved comes to an end it's always bittersweet. But.... This final book.... From the very first chapter until the very last word, Love Without Control had me absolutely hooked. Finally we get some answers... What happened to Evie Bouvier?
Evie Bouvier was heartbreakingly kidnapped and trafficked while on a spring break trip with her friends. When she is about to be sold... Enter.. Damiano Cappitani, the son of the man about to buy her. From the moment he saw her photo, Damiano was determined to save her. Unfortunately, things don't go quite to plan and the only way to save themselves and those they love is to go in to hiding. This is where the hate to friends to lovers journey of Dane and Eden begins... The journey which spans over years..... To be honest, while I initially thought Evie should have hated him more in the beginning, I also understood why she didn't... Damiano (aka Dane) was everything!! The way this man... gave up his life, cared for her, protected her, supported and encouraged her and ultimately loved her was heartwarming perfection! He had me swooning hard!
Evie may have been young in the beginning but damn she was strong and resilient. If there is one thing I love in heroine, it is one that has a backbone. Evie definitely had one! Loved her. My heart broke for her that she couldn't reach out to her family for soooooo long but the life she built and the relationship she formed with Damiano (aka Dane) was so beautiful. I mean a mafia man out there protecting turtles... yes please!!!
And... The reunion between Evie (aka Eden) and her family! Stop it!! Who is cutting onions? These scenes were so special. I smiled and cried all at the same time.
This book definitely put my emotions through it..... I gasped, I laughed, I felt angry, I got frustrated, I got a little hot, I cried and I smiled. Absolutely Loved this Book & Series! I can't wait to see what Jade Dollston brings us next!
More people need to talk about this series! Each book intertwines the stories of the Bouvier siblings but each book is so different. And now Jade Dollston has given us the last installment, finally closing the door on the mystery that was Evie Bouvier's disappearance. This is the darkest themed book out of all of them but it's one that is filled with heart, resilience, & captivating characters that you can't help but root for their HEA.
Evie Bouvier disappeared on her spring break trip when she was 19 years old... 16 years later she returns to her family. This is her story and it's one that is intertwined with the mafia & the son of the man who bought her. That son, Damiano, became Evie's savior & true love. They both took drastic actions to escape his father but the situation presented them with tough choices that left them in hiding for years. This is an emotional rollercoaster that will give you all the feels.
**Please check TW if you are sensitive to dark themes**
Evie's story is a tough one to swallow & the way Jade carefully describes her PTSD is done very thoughtfully & I appreciated the delicate details. I really loved the progress of her relationship with Damiano. They were thrown together under incredible circumstances but Damiano's care & patience with Evie really struck a chord with me. I loved their romance & the timeline felt natural. This story takes place over 16 years which shows their relationship blossoming from two people stuck together, to friends to lovers.
Damiano fell hard & fast for Evie but knew he had to be careful with her. He became everything she needed. And if you like spice, there is plenty here for you to gobble up (we love a dirty talking MMC and Damiano wears that title with pride).
This emotional story comes full circle where we get to see the entire Bouvier family reunite. I really loved this series and so sad it's over but the ending is so satisfying!
🖤 Dark Mafia Romance ⛔️ K!dn@pping (Check TW) 💍 Fake Marriage 🏡 Forced Proximity ☠️ Touch her and ... 🩶 Morally Grey MMC ✌🏻 Dual POV
If loving this book is wrong, I don't want to be right. This book was everything I could have asked for and more. I have loved every book, but this was definitely the best of the series. I had to just sit and absorb it all after that last page because this book left me feeling so many things.
Evie went through so much after being kidnapped that it really breaks your heart, especially with the amount of time that goes by over the course of the story. But Damiano (Dane) steps up in such a huge way and becomes everything she could possibly need or want. Evie changes Dane too and he begins to embrace the man he is becoming as he is falling for the woman who shows him what his life can be like away from the darkness of his youth. The new world they build for themselves is filled with more than they could have ever anticipated. New friends, careers, and love that bring them happiness neither thought they would ever have.
Their relationship is beautiful and I was there for it all. The passion and heat these two share could be felt coming off the pages. I almost felt like I should go to confession and say some Hail Mary's because I enjoyed every bit of it. No regrets whatsoever.
I wish this could have gone on forever, but as any great book will, it came to an end. Albeit faster than I would have liked. I need to try and stop reading so fast, but it's hard when you cannot put the book down, which is always the case with anything Jade Dollston writes . I do not think I can stress enough how great this book and this series is and how much you need to get going and read it! This was a free advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

Kinda like being on the craziest ride at the amusement park !!! you know that feeling jg you get in your stomach from being excited and nervous at the same time - the anticipation of whats to come next ? Well This entire series has done just that in spades ♠️. With each book and each couples story , I’ve fallen more and more in love with this wonderful world Jade has created , the relationships, the families and everything in between , well no words can possibly express how hooked I’ve become . Now Love Without control is finally here ; the conclusion to an absolutely amazing series , and I cannot remember the last time I felt so happy and so sad all at the same time . Bittersweet, emotional, heartbreaking and so extremely beautiful. That’s what Evie and Damiano’s epic love story was and is . The degree to which it touched my heart , the way in which I was literally on the edge of my seat the whole way through, how I felt like my heart was beating right out of my chest , the connection I felt to both characters. These really are only things you can experience by simply picking up this phenomenal story and reading it for yourself.
Okay, deep breath. This is the final book in the series, and my heart is full and wrecked all at once. Love Without Control is the kind of story that makes you pause, soak in every moment, and then desperately wish you could experience it all over again for the first time.
We’ve followed powerful men and the women strong enough to stand toe-to-toe with them through this series, but this one? This one hit different. Watching Domiano—a man who thrives on control, precision, and putting his family’s legacy first—completely unravel when Evie enters his world? It’s tender. It’s fiery. It’s layered.
Evie is that girl. She’s vibrant, a little reckless, and fiercely independent. She’s also the perfect storm to Domiano’s carefully constructed calm. What starts as an unexpected spring break twist turns into something deeper, more dangerous, and more honest than either of them planned.
And Domiano? The man is calculating and seeing as who his father is, he may be used to getting his way—but Evie doesn’t fall in line. She challenges him. She sees past the sharp edges and pulls out the man beneath the armor. And slowly, you watch him choose her—again and again. Who am I kidding he chose her the minute he saw her. There is a lot of time that spans in this book, so hold on tight.
As the final installment, this book wraps up the Bouvier Saga in a way that feels both complete and emotional. It’s bittersweet—because saying goodbye always is—but it’s also deeply satisfying. It’s not just the end of a love story. It’s the final chapter in a generational legacy of love, growth, control, and finally—letting go.
While we’ve all anxiously waited to find out what happened to Evie…3 WHOLE BOOKS we’ve waited. And finally here is her story…and its every parent’s worst nightmare.
As a single woman who travels alone sometimes, I see these carefree women and wish I could be just like them, not a care in the world and just as trusting to strangers. However, like Evie, it was instilled pretty early to be very aware of your surroundings. So when I read Evie’s story and how in a split second, her letting her guard down….it almost cost her everything. She was very fortunate that her transportation was to freedom with Damaino and not to his sick and twisted father who bought her.
We get some great flashbacks into her growing up with Auburn and Monty; giving is a further glimpse into the Bouvier family and how close they are. But to see her transform and blossom, while under an assumed identity, is truly remarkable. Yes Evie is smart, beautiful and funny but the trauma she experienced is enough to crush even the toughest of people. And to see Damaino (aka Dane) be so patient and caring with her, doing a complete 180 out of the only life he’s ever known just to protect her … you don’t always see those with the darkest of souls come out to the light and stay there.
Trust me when I say you will laugh, cry and probably need more than a few moments alone *wink wink* because these two have off the chart chemistry. Don’t worry Jade always gives her readers the HEA they’re needing….and this is a HEA that could rival any Disney movie.
Mafia Romance Kidnapping Fake marriage Forced Proximity HEA The spice is spicin 🌶🌶🌶🌶🙄🌶 Always read the trigger warnings
He was her enemy. He was her savior. He was her fake husband.
“Did you know that female peacocks are called peahens?” I asked so only Dane could hear. He chuckled and kissed the tip of my nose. “I love your brain.” I rested my hands on his cheek. "I love your face"
So many special moments Dane and Eden have in this compelling story of two people who have to fight to try to stay alive and keep under the radar of Damiano's Dad. Lucas Cappitani
17 years of moving, changing, gaining friends, and losing friends. This story pulled me in all different ways with the feels and the laugh-out-loud moments.
With a wiggle of his eyebrows, he said, “Well, I love your—” Pressing a finger to his lips, I giggled. “Save it for the honeymoon, Dracula.”
I thought Cruz's story was so good. This story with Evie and Damiano. WOW!! JUST WOW! It blew me away and the mouth on the man. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. Jade can write some spicy scenes. 😈
In the meantime, I was in pure bliss with this storyline with these two characters they are so believable. I felt like I was there being drawn in with each word that flowed across its pages. I just devoured it. I highly recommend this book and all the ones before it.
"In the light and in the darkness… I choose you."
This story moved me.
Can't wait to read
Juliette's story She rolled her eyes. “Like I would be anywhere else when my bestie from the nestie gets married.”
Evie's story is finally here, and it was so much worse than any of us could have imagined. Jade really dug deep with this one. I went from heartbroken to laughing to swooning to being teary eyed.
Evie is one strong resilient woman. She went on vacation with her friends, having the time of her life to being trafficked. Even though she was scared, she fought, giving those men a hard time every second she could. This feistiness is what caught Damiano's eye. He went there to "collect" her for his father but instead he fought for her and saved her. That night solidified something for them that neither of them saw coming. Forced proximity has a way a blurring the line between love and hate real quick.
What should have crumbled any other 18-year-old girl going through all this pain and suffering ended up making Evie very strong and determined. She built a wall around her to protect her and the people she cares about. She dealt with things the best she could and found a way to survive. Even though I wanted to hate Damiano sooooo much, I understood him. He was dealt the bad hand in the father's department, but that didn't turn him cold. Instead of a wolf in sheep's clothing he's just a giant teddy bear. A teddy bear I would love to cuddle with, with his alpha-hole protectiveness vibes!
This was the perfect way to end this series. I'm sad to see it end but also happy that this series got the ending it deserved. This story has some heavy topics so PLEASE read the warnings before reading.
📚📚📚 This one was seriously AMAZING! Jade truly knows how to make me feel all the feels with her writing! I would go from holding my breath to giggling to gasping and just so much more! Evie and Dane stole my heart. There story was just speechless from beginning to end. Evie is such a favorite FMC of mine after reading because the strength that woman carries to ordering my favorite soda and being so sassy. Dane though it a top tier book boyfriend! He instantly is protective of Evie and will do everything to keep her out of danger. Without giving too much away you just need to read it for yourself to experience this book in the best way. Overall totally recommend!

Thank you so much for sending me a copy for an honest review in my own words. #giftedcopy
✨if you had a hidden identity, what would your fake name?
Thanks so much for the ARC opportunity for the author. As always, this is an honest, voluntary review.
The last book of the Bouvier Family series and what a final this was! What an absolute whirlwind of emotions from pain to healing and comfort. I fell for this story, these characters fast and hard and I definitely think this series will be a reread for me. Evie... Oh, I wanted to know what happened to her so bad and Jade didn't disappoint. Evie's story of being taken by human traffickers during a trip with her friends was everything. I'd like to state Evie is a badass. But I adored even more when she broke and when she agreed to get help. I felt that in my bones because it's so damn difficult to do that. And there comes Damiano Cappitani and the way he healed this girl. Oh, damn, that man. I'm so ready to marry his overprotective, perfect baking ass. He's likely one of the best mafia man I read, the way he slips back into that from baker is just so damn real. The love, the life Evie and Damiano has, had me in a choke hold. It was a beautifully built story with so much heartache and so much love for each other that I could only go from gasp to sigh. (and then of course, there was the smut because holy damn, that was something else!)
If you haven't yet read this series, what are you waiting for?
Love Without Control by Jade Dollston ✨ARC Book Review✨
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5
This book throws you straight into the chaos. Evie Bouvier’s spring break in Cancun was supposed to be fun, but one wrong turn leaves her kidnapped and at the mercy of strangers. Just when things seem hopeless, she’s rescued by Damiano Cappitani—the dangerous, intense, and way-too-attractive son of the man who bought her. Not exactly a dream scenario.
What makes this book so good is the tension—both in the plot and between Evie and Damiano. He’s the last person she should trust, but with danger closing in, he’s also the only one who can keep her safe. Their dynamic is everything—full of push and pull, uncertainty, and undeniable chemistry. Evie is strong and refuses to be a victim, and Damiano is the kind of morally gray hero that keeps you hooked.
The story is fast-paced, full of high-stakes action, emotional twists, and moments that make your heart race. If you love romance with danger, strong heroines, and intense, complicated relationships, this one is a must-read. I couldn’t put it down, and now I need more!
If you haven’t started the series yet, Love Without Numbers, Love Without Influence, and Love Without Demands make the experience even better, but Love Without Control stands on its own as an addictive, action-packed romance.
Evie and Damiano are the epitome of what choosing each other every day is. But their story is about as unconventional and twisted as you can find.
A spring break gone terribly wrong. The son of a mafia boss trying to break free. When Damiano is tasked with a job from his father with one look he knows his life is about to change forever. What he never expected is the turn it would take.
Evie would’ve fought until the end. Living her worst nightmare one minute only to be told she’s safe but her life will never be the same.
She hates the man that both simultaneously saved her and kidnapped her but finds herself bound to him to stay alive.
From day one all he wants to do is keep her safe and as the days pass she realizes the lengths he’ll go to make her feel safe and cared for and “free”.
It may not be the way traditional fairy tales are written, but their story is a fair tale in its own way. One of finding happiness amongst the storm…and sometimes even true love.
This book has it all! Angst, drama, banter, spice🥵, and most of all…love. Congratulations Jade…it’s perfect ❤️
This book has some heavy and sensitive topics, trigger warnings are provided.
I feel like I’m in euphoria as I’m writing this review. This book had me in such a chokehold! I will say, you have to read the first three books in the Bouvier Family Saga series as you get a bit of a backstory to Evie and her disappearance. The most incredible part about Evie and Dane’s story are all the little things that Jade adds into it. I am utterly amazed at all of the little details that wove throughout this entire book. I don’t want to give away any spoilers but there are so many intricate details throughout the entire book that leave your heart in a puddle at your feet…LITERALLY. I did not expect to love the MMC as much as I did, especially with already knowing Evie was kidnapped and missing for 15+ years. You INSTANTLY fall in love with this man.
Yes…you still get amazing, filthy mouthed spice. However, there is SO much more to unpack with Love Without Control, it’s mindblowing. My eyes were literally misty throughout most of this book. The emotions throughout each chapter and the things Dane does to ensure Evie feels safe is so well thought out. The impact these little things have on you as you read through consumes your entire soul.
