My name is Nicolette Bell, and I spend more time with microscopes than men. I’ve got the doctorate degrees, the lab coat, and the resume that all scream “boss babe scientist.”
But what I don’t have is a love life. I’ve only dated other scientists in the past, and let’s just say my Bunsen burner is not being properly lit.
I hate my current job at a large cosmetics company in New York, so when I make the move to Houston, Texas, to work at Hale Cosmetics, I make a solemn vow to Absolutely no more science nerds in my bed.

Despite my best efforts, I find my resolve wavering, and after a steamy night ends with me bent over a lab table, all I can say is…

Jade, hi, hi, how are you? Umm, so like, can I just come hang out and watch the magic when you're writing books like this? I'll sit quietly in a corner, I'll bring the snacks too. Because, so like, were you cracking open science text books while researching for this book with makeup strewn about your desk - trying on lipsticks and eyeshadows.... for some reason "Silence of the Lambs" and the whole "put the lotion in the basket" just played out in my head just now... somehow that still feels appropriate. But I digress.
So I'm personally still coming off of the high of your pineapple book which was INSANELY AMAZING!!! I still didn't want to leave that world, so I reluctantly came to this world, but that reluctance didn't last long. Nicolette... I love her. And Helix? Dang, girl! Dang. ... Back to your research that I mentioned above, so like when you "researched" for Helix, so like what did you do? What did you research? And can I help you with said research? I promise to behave.
Nic and Helix together though? Omg they are so funny, smart and charming! Their chemistry is so cute and sexy! But the overall story is just so yummy! And this book had all of my favorite Jade Dollston things: INCREDIBLE writing, witty story-parts, amazing characters and chemistry that's off the charts, while the story itself is... girl, it flows so flipping good! I flew through your pages. Like always. But you do this thing where you create characters we love while you also create characters that we hate. Can I tell you the level of "dislike" that I had for 3 characters in this book? Like, deep, deep down h8te. I was feral. Yet you do it in such a way that you humanize those characters. Don't get me wrong, we still despise them and I will literally be yelling at the book - but you still write them in a way that we can't but see them as people still. I admire that in your writing.
I still h8te those characters though and I was ready to revolt.
That said, how you brought it all together... ohhh how sweet it was.
NOW!!! This next book? Phe's book? Giiiiirl! Please tell me I can pack my bags and come to Texas to sit quietly and help you? I know that that book will literally be off the charts and you don't understand the level of feral that I am for that book and for that MMC. I loved this book so much! I love that the FMC is incredibly smart and beautiful. The MMC is hot and nerdy. The FMCs family was horrible and I wanted to go through the pages and hug her. The book kept me hooked from the beginning to end. I was so happy and think the characters are great together!

This book, has me wondering what in the word goes on in the mind if Ms Jade Dollston, I mean come the frack on. Yes I am obsessed with her books , especially the men she writes who are crazy alpha to simps to the core and everything in between. And Helix Hale is not different. Him and Nicolette Bell are chemisty made in STEM heaven. I will say this nerdy guys are the quiet alpha simps who move heaven and earth for the one they love, in this case Dr. Nicolette Bell.
New universe , new characters, new people for us to claim, for us to fall in love and for us to despise. Yes i have them all set for this series. Nic whom we met in the previous series just shines through here, yes it is her book, but wow she is an amazing person whom im in awe with.
This book gives us a look into an industry that you would not expect to read and it was sooo good.
The found family aka the Hale family are a hoot . I have fallen in love with all of them. There is just the right amount of drama , trauma and sexy time, ahem well more than right IYKYK. There were people in this book that made me lose my cool like I have gone mad. The crazy brought in this I loved it.
All in all this book is one which i will scream from the top of my lungs that this is an amazing read and it is gonna be a crazy roller coaster of a series.
I will love Helix Hale but my heart is with Remington Hale. As T, mentioned this has to be signed sealed and declared that he is mine and mine alone.

Oh. my. gosh. hot nerd alert. these two have a whitty banter and chemistry that is off the charts and the spice level in this book is perfection. Jade weaves this story with a lot of lighthearted moments, emotional bits, fantastic humor, and scorching heat it makes it almost impossible to put down. I cannot wait to read Phoenix's story!

I really wanted to like this book. I stopped at 61% and couldn't go any further. The chemistry between these characters didn't feel real. It was a Verrry slow burn. I usually love her books. I own 10 books by her and absolutely love them. This particular one just wasn't for me. Just my opinion only.

I think I’m in love. This book Hale Yes is the first in a new series by Jade Dollston and it did not disappoint.
Let me start off by saying this ticked A LOT of boxes. Dr. Helix Hale, alpha male behind the scenes but quiet and unassuming on the surface. Dr Nicolette Bell, a woman in a STEM career. Who is established in her own right. Both characters are in their 30s which I loved. The respect, the angst, ALL the chemistry and even the twist made this for a perfect read.
The way these two try to avoid the pull between them and the explosion when they finally come together had me giggling like a school girl and I loved it. Jade, you threw me for a pretty big loop there, but it didn’t take long for Helix to figure it out and I love that for this couple.
If you aren’t reading Jade Dollston books, what are you even doing? If you need a place to start, you won’t regret picking up this one!

If I could give Hale Yes by Jade Dollston six stars, I would…and guess what? I am! This book is an absolute knockout, one of my favorite romcoms of the year, and a Hale Yes from cover to cover.
This story had me cackling, swooning, and clutching my kindle like it held the secrets of the universe. Nicolette and Helix are pure chemistry…pun 1000% intended…and their fake dating shenanigans had me hooked from the first “no science nerds allowed” to the very last Hale Yes.
I’m a sucker for a good STEM romance, and Dollston absolutely nailed it. She masterfully blends smart, nerdy banter with electric tension and hilarious, laugh out loud moments (seriously, I had to pause to collect myself more than once). But it’s not just fluff, this book goes deeper, exploring identity, ambition, vulnerability, and the beauty of finding someone who sees all of you.
Jade Dollston’s writing style is everything I adore in a romantic comedy. It’s witty, sharp, and so full of heart. She has this magical way of making you laugh until your face hurts and then sneakily delivering an emotional gut punch that stays with you. It’s talent, plain and simple. And I am officially a fan for life….. oh wait, I have been since the first time I read one of her books years ago!!! LOL!!!!
Hale Yes isn’t just a book, it’s a full body serotonin boost. If you love smart heroines, hot nerdy heroes in glasses…. And suspenders!!!! - (HELIX, HELLO) - and fake dating done to perfection, 🏃🏼♀️ don’t walk, to start this book.

Nicolette and Helix are so great together. They try to fight the pull to each other, but when Helix steps in to play her fake boyfriend, all bets are off. I love how protective he was and how they built a real friendship before the romantic relationship started.
This was such a funny, heartwarming, at times emotional, spicy, and entertaining book.
Nicolette and Helix did not have an easy journey, but I loved seeing it all work out.
I love that Helix stood up for Nicolette with her family. She definitely deserved so much more from people who were supposed to love her. I also loved Helix's relationship with his brothers. It definitely seems all of them went through something, especially after the prologue, and I can't wait for their stories.
I definitely recommend this book.

This was everything I wanted it to be. The characters were amazing from the very beginning and the further into the story I got, the more I loved them. I liked that Nicolette and Helix were both in their 30s and both successful and accomplished in their work because it made the playing field level and the fact that they both respected each other helped them to build a solid foundation. The tension between these two was thick enough to cut and I loved how they couldn’t stay away from each other. I also really loved the way the dynamic between them was different in their spicy times than in their professional lives. By the way, the spice in this was ridiculously hot; Dr. Hale is a very skilled man. Some stuff goes down near the end and I was like noooo but it all works out in the end. Helix was crazy romantic and sweet. Chapter 42 was especially satisfying. I really loved all these side characters in this and I think this is gonna be an exceptionally good series.

With Jade there’s one thing I know for sure and two things I know for certain.
1. I’m gonna get emotionally invested in every single character.
2. I’m not gonna know whether I wanna laugh or cry or both.
3. I know without a doubt I’m gonna love every single moment.
This book gave me everything I could possibly want and more. Helix and Nicolette are hilarious. These two will keep you on your toes. The spice was top tier and the HEA was so so good! Hale yes was a little slice of heaven and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This was such a fun story! I loved how witty the banter was between Nicolette and Helix!
There were moments that was was laughing out loud, and other where I was audibly gasping at how awful Nicolette’s sister and mother were. Nicolette’s whole childhood and back story was so sad.
I loved that Helix wasn’t the typical grumpy scientist that couldn’t be bothered with other aspects of life. He was fun loving and ready to experience life. He was truly a golden retriever!
The twist this book took at the end was so unexpected! I can’t wait to see what happens!

Absolute best book I’ve read lately!! I’ve never been disappointed by this author…maybe heartbroken for a bit but it’s so worth the ride! She can take a non conventional romance storyline and make you wonder why everyone isn’t writing it.
Who says science nerds can’t be witty, charming and sexy as all get out?! Nicolette is such an amazingly strong, deeply emotionally scarred woman that will have you cheering for her when she finally finds her strength. She’s not your typical science nerd with her witty personality and craving for deep connections. Helix on the other hand lives for his lab and his family. There’s a story there but you won’t know it until way down the line and yeah I didn’t see it coming. However a beautiful, sassy Dr. Bell is just what he needs to turn his world upside down. He is such a sweet, gentle charmer when he puts his mind to it and maybe even before he realizes he’s doing it.
I could go on and on but hopefully I’ve made you curious enough to read this beautiful story.

Read as an ARC but totally loved this story. I will warn you it breaks you for a minute and puts you right back together. Nicolette(love that name) is a genius with too many familial issues to let her be taken down. She is a strong woman who continues thriving in life and working in cosmetics when she is hired by Hale Cosmetics. Helix Hale is her boss and quickly becomes the man of her dreams. They begin as friends, fall for one another and become each others Forever. Jade does a great job at developing their characters, their love story as well as the side characters. The story left me anxiously awaiting the next chapters- highly recommend, has some laugh out loud moments, tears and swooning with their love story. Absolute great story!!!!!

Oh my goodness. I absolutely loved this book. I've never read a romance about scientists before and I absolutely loved it. Jade has the best sense of humor and I absolutely loved all of her characters. Helix was the perfect match for Nicolette from that first email he sent her, I knew there was going to be an amazing connection. I highly highly recommend reading this book. You'll be in a laughing fit the whole time.

I didn't expect to go from laughing to devestated in a matter of chapters but that's exactly what happened. I loved Helix and Nicolette as well as all the character crossover. I have never found a scientist or suspenders so hot before reading this book but Helix Hale changed my mind on that! (IYKYK) Looking forward to the rest of the series with so much vagueness and the ending bombshell!

I never realised I was such a geek! I love love Helix and Nicolette was a blast too. I loved everything about this story and throughly enjoyed every minute.
It was funny, sad and super steamy.
I also love that you get to see past character but you don’t have to have read the other series to love them too.
I’m super excited for Phoenix’s book as there is sooo much we don’t know and being Helix’s twin hopefully we will get a bit more of him too.
I am happily travelling on the highway to Hale and not taking the exit ramp.

Gahhhhh my girl Jade Dollston did it again!!! My family knows when her books get into my hands, I will ignore everything else (including sleep 🤣) to finish pouring through every amazing word. Hale Yes had me cackling, kicking my feet, swooning, and left me 💦💦💦 This book is a MUST READ!!!! Absolutely incredible!!! Now I’ll just sit over here and pout until I get my greedy hands on Phoenix’s story 🤣🤣🤣

Just finished Hale Yes by the talented Jade Dollston. It is book 1 of the Highway to Hale series. Omg I loved it although I’m pretty sure I’ve loved all her books so far lol. This follows 2 brilliant scientists Nicolette and Helix. Nicolette grew up in the shadows, she was never able to have any form of attention from her parents without her older sister stealing it. But with her being a genius Nicolette graduated from high school at a young age and went to an Ivy League university to get her doctorate in biochemistry. After she gets a new job opportunity at Hale cosmetics it’s where she meets her boss Helix Hale. I love how these characters have an organic relationship. Yes it was a fast paced relationship but it made sense. I love how Helix shows Nicolette what it’s like to have attention that she didn’t have growing up in a way of someone actually listening and caring what she has to say and listening to her ideas, both in their personal and professional lives. Totally love these characters and love how they are tied in with other characters in her previous books.

I loved everything about this!
I was laughing out loud. and there were times I was crying. I gotta say we all need the LBI to investigate any shady characters in our lives lol.
Helix and Nicolette are chefs kiss equal part sweet and sexy and nerdy. I loved all of the Hale family and its always so fun to see characters from previous reads visit. I absolutely can't wait for Phoenix's book.
I say this every Jade Dollston read but this might be my new favorite couple and fave book bf.

Jade how do you keep doing this, how do you keep coming with with these characters and these stories. OMG Nicolette and Helix, the banter, the nerdiness, the chemistry, everything. He is so adorable and so alpha when no one is looking. She is amazing and brilliant and finally empowered. I couldn’t put this down. Now bring on Phoenix because we need more Hale stories. Enjoy

Lots of spice in this book! Helix and Nicolette have an instant attraction and fight it at first but once they give in? Wow! They are fire together! Helix is a dream man - smart, sexy, dirty talking alpha. Nicolette is a brilliant scientist. She works for him so it feels a bit forbidden. This is a very slow burn book. There is an undercurrent of ‘what happened in the past’ that keeps you wondering almost until the end. I did find it a little bit predictable keeping it from being a 5 star review. Still very enjoyable and I can’t wait for the rest of the series. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Another hilarious yet super spicy book of Jade Dollston. She is an amazing writer and this book was just as fantastic as her previous books! I loved everything about it! At some points I was laughing so hard!
Helix and Nic were the biggest nerds and so good together like they were made for each other. I really love to read about brilliant women in scientific jobs. I felt so bad for Nic, she really has a shitty family. Luckily Helix has a fantastic one! Their HEA was so good!
I highly recommend you to read this book and I can’t wait for the book of the next Hale brother!

I loved this book so much! As usual Jade pulled me in from the start . The characters are well developed and you fall for them from the beginning. The spice was super spicy and I loved it. Do not sleep on this STEM rom-com and add it to your collection.

This one was just okay for me. I didn’t fully feel the chemistry between the characters the way I’d hoped, which made it harder to get fully pulled into the romance. That said, it’s absolutely no reflection on the Jades talent—her writing is beautiful, and she always knows how to craft an engaging story.
Even if this one wasn’t my personal favorite, I truly admire Jades work and i am looking forward to continuing the series to see where she takes it next.
