On one hand, this isn't exactly what I wanted. I was hoping for deeper stories with these characters since it's in text. But on the other hand, it's just more 100 girlfriends, it's well done, it's just several "lost" arcs from the comic. Well worth a read for fans. I enjoyed it.

Hyakkano/100 Kanojo is a series that--embarassing as it is to admit--I'm obsessed over. I hesitate in saying it's one of my favorite manga out there, but its a manga I tune in weekly for because of how hilarious it is while never abandoning the sincere and unapologetic portrayal of poly love and relationships.

So when Seven Seas provides the fans a translation of the goofy light novel spin off, of course I'd hop on. And its as unserious and fun as I expected a Hyakkano/100 Kanojo novel to be. It's got aliens, isekai, mecha, tsundere-ing; everything you could want out of this manga.

If you're already a fan of the manga, then you're bound to derive a bunch of pleasure and enjoyment from this lighthearted addition to the Hyakkano canon. If not, then you'll be left confused at 85% of the plot here. Not because what happens here is complex, but because of the unreal wacky events.

Like other reviewers have said, the writing is better suited to anime or manga formats. I loved the plots and the illustrations, though. Very weird and cute as always.

Dieses Buch hätte eigentlich ein problemloser Banger sein sollen. Ich liebe den Manga und ein Buch voller Slice of Life Szenen wäre so geil gewesen. Nur bekommen wir das nicht. Ja, im originalen Manga gibt es auch mal übertriebene Geschichten, aber sie sind die Ausnahme, hier der Standard. Und das wird sehr schnell langweilig.
