New husbands. And now new fathers. This is the first installment in a new series for private investigators Tyler and Ian Jamison. Our heroes are adjusting to life as a married couple and are now parents of newborn twins. While the guys are enjoying paternity leave, their administrative assistant, Kimi, comes to them with a personal emergency. While Tyler investigates the whereabouts of her missing roommate, Ian plays stay-at-home dad with their two-week old twins. Oh, it felt so good reuniting with Tyler and Ian again.
Now married, and running a successful PI firm, I couldn't help but smile while reading about their adjustments as fathers navigating the challenges of newborn twins.
Rippling through this tranquil and blissful new life, Ian’s insecurities meander back to the surface, mildly testing their relationship, which Tyler helps soothe.
Things take an unexpected turn with the arrival of the mysterious handwritten note, at their home and sanctuary, evoking Ian’s memories involving his mother. Oh my!
What does this mean for Ian and Tyler?
With a new mystery to solve, this note could bring buried emotions and memories to the forefront, threatening their marriage and family's peace and stability.
How wonderful Ian and Tyler are married, running a successful PIs firm, now parents to 2 beautiful twins, but Ian’s insecurities are coming to the surface, worried about how can he tell Tyler he wants to be a stay at home dad. His past fears are always there. But after Tyler helps Kimi during their paternity leave Ian realized with the help of Ingrid he must tell Tyler. But in true Tyler fashion soothes him. but a mysterious note arrives, is his mothers history coming back to haunt him, what does it mean, we must wait till the next episode
I started this not realizing that it was an off shoot from a previous series. However, I didn't have any trouble following. This was short but really lacked in a story. Ian and Tyler's babies are 2 weeks old and they are both on maternity leave when Kimi'sfriend goes missing and Tyler agrees to take the case. The case itself is a bit of a damp squib. I will read further books in the series though.
I enjoyed this book!!! Loved getting to hear more from Tyler and Ian and their married life with their twins!!! Loved the romance between Tyler and Ian!!! It was a short book and I wish there was more in the book but that means I am ready for the next book in this series to come out so that I can read it.
I am so glad Tyler and Ian have those beautiful babies. Im glad Tyler finally figured out that it’s ok to let the world know he is gay, I can only imagine the guts it takes to do that. But Ian really deserves it so I’m glad they were finally able to hold hands in public.
Tyler and Ian. Home with their babies and on paternity leave, but that doesn’t stop the cases or danger. Their team is eccentric and I love how they are a family not just staff. Ingrid is present throughout the story and we see how they are doing. Ian also shares a big concern and desire for their future, a random mass danger event occurs, and a new threat emerges.
I am SOOOOO happy to see the continuation of Tyler and Ian's story!
And boy was the wait worth it. Not the full-sized novels like in the series, but a sweet story with a cliff-hanger ending. It's spicy enough to please, sweet enough to make your teeth hurt, and such a wonderful addition to the series!
I really like Ian and Tyler's new life with their twins. Tyler investigates a missing roommate and Ian gets a blast from the past which presumably will be dealt with in the next book. Really enjoyable.
You get hooked and can’t wait for more. April leaves you wanting more each book is amazing. Love Tyler and Ian and excited to see where their lives lead them in the future
New dads and new problems. Adorable babies, quickies, handling parenting and cases. Finding out what works best for them as a new family dynamic. Can’t wait for next episode!!
This is a continuation of Tyler and Ian’s story. I love the way each of them so their love of each and their twins. How Ian needs Tyler’s strength and dominance and Tyler needs Ian openness about being gay and being a wonderful daddy.
This is a very short novella but a good one. Love this pair. Nice to see them and their babies again. Need to catch up on Beth though and her kids. Can’t wait for next episode.
I’ve enjoyed the Tyler and Ian saga, but I think this is where it ends for me. There was no real storyline and it didn’t keep me engaged. Ian still hasn’t matured in his relationship to have open communication with Tyler and that was frustrating. Seeing them be parents, especially Ian, was nice.
Sappy with little derive story line. Could not even finish it was so sappy. Unless your 12, do not bother - and a 12 year old should be reading the sexual content.
A cute quick read of Tyler and Ian tackling Parenthood. Can't wait for.the next episode. Is you haven't read their first three books, I suggest you read them
