Bunny Townsend is an athlete, gifted student, and trauma survivor. She is not, however, a woman looking for love. Unfortunately, love seems to be looking for her... persistently. Soon after meeting Demetrius Ivanov, she finds herself falling facefirst into a world of debauchery she never knew existed.
Unfortunately for Demetrius, her heart is not something to be swayed by opulence or a lavish lifestyle. Instead, he must find a way to win her over without relying on the tricks that have worked for him time and time again.
Can Demetrius reach the object of his affection? Or will Bunny run from him the same way she's fled feeling her emotions her entire adult life?
Juniper Hartmann has done it again with an amazing book😍 putting into words the work that Junie does with her books feels impossible. I was lucky enough to read her debut Run Rabbit Run as an ARC and was blown away. Now having read The Hare in His Snare (the prequel to RRR) made the story line so much better!
Getting to see the beginning of Bunny and Demetrius was perfection. From how they met to their backgrounds to their journey together and everything that led into Run Rabbit Run kept me reading and holding onto every detail from start to finish.
It’s hard to say much about the story without spoiling anything. My honest thoughts: •THIHS is amazing and although it is a prequel should be read AFTER Run Rabbit Run. •The healthy BDSM representation is something I have only seen done this well by Junie. •the mental health and stigmas that come along with diagnoses such as Anxiety, OCD, and PTSD are shown throughout the story but also treated and explained beautifully which only made me fall in love with Demetrius and Bunny even more •if you can, everyone should read The Hare In His Snare (after you read Run Rabbit Run of course)
The Hare In His Snare contains: Healthy BDSM rep Kinks Erotica Banter Sass Daddy Dom dynamics
This is book 2! Make sure to read Run, Rabbit, Run before starting this book.
In this story we are following Bunny and Demetrius. She just wants to get her degree so she can finally have a better life for herself. Demetrius just wants to claim her as his.
Bunny is such a strong thought out characters. The way she learns more about herself as she finds herself with Demetrius in a relationship that is heavy on the dome/sun lifestyle. Bunny has a life that was not easy to get through so it is nice to see how the dynamic between the two really plays out to give her and honest safe space from a reality that didn't seem to want her.
Spoilers coming - skip until to see "please note" if you don't want spoilers.
Demetrius is everything a sub wants in a Dom with setting rules, making sure others brought in follow the rules, taking care of her first and foremost. With a moment of her realizing she has trauma from something in her past when Demetrius wraps his hand around her neck, Demetrius handled this moment in such a true, caring, Dom way that fully allowed Bunny to process what, why, and how to move forward. This is a kink that is largely misunderstood. I appreciated seeing it described in a way that brings a better light on how the entire situation works while still giving a story that had me wrapped in it from the very beginning.
That ending had me stressed to no end.
Please note this book has domestic emotional abuse, heavy kink play, Dom/sub lifestyle, multi-partner scenes, bondage, drug abuse, heavy drug use, panic attacks due to trauma, and sexually exploited moments. Keep these in mind when adding this to your TBR.

Okay, WOW! I don’t even know how to start this review because there was so much! Plots were connected, backstories were explained and new characters were introduced!
If you haven’t read Run, Rabbit, Run yet, PLEASE do before reading this. The Hare in His Snare is the prequel and trust me when I say you will want to read them in the intended order!
I was so happy to learn more about Bunny and her backstory, I feel we knew the surface of what made Bunny feel the way she did in RRR, but hearing why absolutely broke my heart. There were times I was arguing with her about not letting Demetrius buy her things and spoil her and calling her safe word for those moments, and there were times when I was reminded why she was feeling so hesitant toward being spoiled and having that fully security.
I relate to this in my own life I also struggle to allow the people that love me, take care of me. So I found myself empathizing with Bunny most of the book.
We also really learned about Demetrius and his upbringing in this prequel. It really told why he ticks the way he does and why he carries an older essence with him. His parents raised him as such and he was also struggling with his own mental health.
I found it so beautiful that these two found each other in a place where Bunny needed to learn to let herself give up control and Demetrius needed to regain control. I was so happy to see it come full circle with RRR and I couldn’t have asked for a more fulfilling prequel!
As always, PLEASE be sure to read the triggers before starting the book and take care of yourself 🫶🏼
“You’re not very good at following directions, are you, Bunny?” “Eyes on me, baby girl.” “You know how beautiful you are when you’re on your knees for me.” “Good girl using your safeword.”
4,5 ⭐️
I was lucky enough to ARC-read Run Rabbit Run a while ago and loved it. Reading this prequel brought so much more to the story.
I loved learning more about Bunny as a character and also seeing the beginning of her and Demetrius’s relationship and how their relationship developed to the point where it was at the beginning of Run Rabbit Run.
I liked the well-presented anxiety, PTSD and OCD representation in this book. In my opinion, the author writes the healthy BDSM dynamic and BDSM as a healing / coping mechanism really well.
Even though THIHS is a prequel to RRR, I highly recommend reading this after RRR. Reading THIHS first will spoil the ending of RRR.
Please check the trigger warnings before reading!
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.
This was absolutely needed following “Run Rabbit Run.” It was so satisfying to see the relationship that was established for that novella. Characters were obviously more well-rounded this time around and I have a greater appreciation for them. Their chemistry was *chefs kiss*. I love a good balance of smut and romance, though this still obviously leaned heavier on the smut with tropes and topics disclosed prior. I’m very satisfied!
Was a good read with lots of emotions running through it, it picks up from the first one and has many elements that were enjoyable such as hearing more backstory, finding out things, mental health talk, new people we met and so forth. I just really enjoyed how we dived more into everyone and why they were the way they are
Junie, I am so honored to be able to have read this masterpiece. You knocked it out of the park yet again! 🦊
Before I start this review, I need everyone reading this to start with Run, Rabbit, Run, because, although this is the prequel it will spoil the epic twist at the end of RRR🐇
If you don’t mind it being spoiled then read on at your own discretion.
First and foremost, Demetrius and Bunny start because of his fascination with her, that starts way earlier than she even knows. He decides to take a class she has just to keep an eye on her. Bunny, because of her past, never thinks this relationship will go past a physical one. Demetrius is bound and determined to teach her trust in the most intimate way.
Second, the BDSM relationship representation is top notch. Not only does Hartmann show the sexual gratification of that type of relationship, but also the other side that we don’t normally get to see. The path towards that trust to completely surrender yourself to another person. And the use of a safe word in action. Immediately, Demetrius stops whatever is happening to Bunny when she says it.
Third, more on the safe word. Bunny uses her safe word multiple times, but there were times she used it in a way I never thought of. When Demetrius is overwhelming her with gifts or comments about her future, Bunny will say her safe word and he drops it. This is such an amazing thing to focus on because we don’t always see that part represented in media.
Lastly, there were a few times I was brought to tears. Being able to feel Bunny’s emotions during certain scenes really got to me. After reading THIHS, I have done some reflecting and realized a lot of things about myself with the help of Bunny and Demetrius’ relationship and how it all played out. The insight in this book is shown through a gorgeous story of lust, love and trust. I am so grateful that Juniper Hartmann has such beautiful words to enhance the BDSM community with such a positive novel. I can’t wait to see what is next 🖤
The Hare in His Snare is book two in the Bunny Tales Series. Technically, you could read this book without reading the first book, Run, Rabbit, Run, but it is not recommended. Even though this is a prequel and our insight into Bunny’s backstory, the experience is meant to be read and order. This book was so well done. It was engaging and had me hanging on to the story to the very end. This is a book of trauma and processing that trauma in different ways. It’s tremendously spicy, but the thing that I love is how well that spice is done.
BDSM is often written in a way that glosses over the more important parts. We love the spicy, good times, but often the aftercare is not mentioned. In this book, it was written so well. The safe word was used and used at anytime that the FMC didn’t feel comfortable. And the minute it was used, the MMC stopped and immediately took care of Bunny. I also appreciate any time an author shows how play with a partner can actually be something therapeutic. I know that many don’t understand how someone with trauma could have an interest in the lifestyle, so it is great to see an author really take the time to show this.
Bunny and Demetrius are such well written characters. They are such relateable characters. They are not perfect and they both have been through a lot in their lives. Demetrius is obsessed and protective of Bunny. He gave her the support that she needed to open up and there is nothing better than someone who not only understands but lives a life where consent is key. Bunny is so traumatized and broken but because of her time and relationship with Demetrius she grows and her strength blooms.
Juniper does such an amazing job in her writing. This book is a little longer but it will pull you in. It is one of the best portrayals of a healthy dom/sub relationship that I have seen written in the books that I have read. This book together with Run, Rabbit, Run create such an amazing world and a story with characters that are so well done. It is definitely worth reading these books.
This book was so sweet and the perfect follow-up to "Run Rabbit Run". The events of the second book chronologically take place before the first, but I encourage everyone to read RRR first. The author's publishing order of the two books is so powerful, and I absolutely love the characters.
This book is substantially longer than the first, but the pacing had me wishing I could have read it in one sitting. The characters were well-written and had so much depth, and I enjoyed reading the backstory for Bunny and Demetrius.
Bunny has gone through so much and is pushing to get her degree and make something of herself when she meets Demetrius. Their relationship moves so fluidly, and the push and pull between the characters drug me in. I appreciated the mental health rep, especially in mentioning the complexities and stigmas of OCD as well as PTSD. The author does an amazing job touching on hard subjects but also focuses on the healing that can occur individually and with the help of a partner. Bunny is such a relatable character, one that I want to root for, and also one that made me internally consider my coping mechanisms. She learns the strength and power she can hold as a submissive, which helps her heal and face her past.
Demetrius is such a wonderfully written character with his struggles. We see him introduce Bunny into the BDSM lifestyle and how much he cares for her. He definitely falls first and is always making sure Bunny is taken care of and consents to every aspect of their relationship. The healthy depiction of what a Dom/Sub relationship can look like is so cool to see, and I couldn't get enough of the spice.
If you like high-spice dark romance, trauma/mental health rep, BDSM rep, and enjoy a good he falls first story, then you won't be disappointed with this story. As always, I encourage everyone to check trigger warnings to make sure this is a good choice for your mental health.
Putting words to this book will be difficult in 2 ways. 1. It is the prequel to Run Rabbit Run and I don’t want to ruin anything 👀 (seriously go read it) 2. Junies writing is just *chefs kiss* and any explanation I try to give will be kindergarten level by comparison.

Messages to Junie
🐇This might be jumbled, emotional, and all over the place so bear with me.
🐇Your writing is. Insane. I feel like I’m reading a best selling novel based off of a BDSM/kink expert. From beginning to end, I have been eating their relationship uuup! It wasn’t until the 2nd half where I started to realize my own triggers and past were a lot like Bunny’s. 🥺 To have a (person) to protect, care, and be so vigilant to your needs is just 🥺🥺
🐇The fact that I was able to become so engrossed in their lives says everything. If I can’t separate the writing from reality, I know the book is a winner.
🐇ugh. I loved it. I loved everything. Fvcking everything. Not just the spice. I haven’t felt this emotionally invested in a “dark romance/smut” book in a very very long time. You should be extremely proud 🫶🏻
🐇Ngl I was worried about the 450 pages because RRR was short, but you did this such a justice!
🐇Omgshhh you absolutely encapsulated the characters! I fell in love with each one for their own attributes! 🥺🥰 Some writers make me feel like I’m constantly breaking in a car while reading, yours just flowed, the pages kept running, and each time I looked at the page numbers 100 had gone by so quickly. I want everyone in the world to find your books and read them 😭 I don’t even know how to write a review to do it justice so I might use all this mess to help me since it’s so raw and new. 🫶🏻 Thank you again for allowing me to be apart of this journey and to experience your world 🥺
"The expression he wore had a wildness to it, some lupine quality she had noticed distantly before. Now it was at the forefront and Demetrius wore a wolfish grin. He wanted to devour her."
Plot: 4📍 Spice: 4❤️🔥 Overall: 4⭐
Okay! Wow! You might want to have BOB ready cuz that was k!nk, BD$M, and holy moly all rolled up into one! This falls more squarely into Erøticå than it does Romance and boy did it deliver!!!
That being said, this book also touches (lightly but well) on some very real, deep issues. Familial trauma, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, etc. Perhaps not as thoroughly as can be explored in a novel, but enough that it is sensitive to the subject and provides some quality insight and resolution for the characters. Besides, for this book, the PLOT isn’t the point. The smeggsy good times are and BOY that does it deliver there!
Bunny and Demetrius have explosive chemistry from the get to and true to the title, Bunny is quickly caught in Demetrius trap to keep her as his. And what a delicious trap it is! The ending also seamlessly rolls into Ms. Hartman's previous short story, "Run, Rabbit, Run” and I recommend reading them in publishing orde: “Run, Rabbit, Run” “The Hare in His Snare.”
I have one major (personal) issue with this story - multiple instances of on-page recreational drü-g use. And you're never going to convince me that a few "party favors," some Bolivian Marching Powder, Forrest Gump* is harmless. Especially where something as vital as "Consent" is concerned. For that, I have to take a full star off. I've seen too often the negative effects of "just on the weekends."
Still, if that's not something you're against, then definitely grab this spicy, spicy little love story!
The Hare in His Snare took me full circle and I'm in LOVE.
Make sure to check the TW on this and take care of yourself. ⚠️ There is healthy BDSM, drug use, erotica, kinks, etc.
I HIGHLY recommend picking up Run, Rabbit, Run and reading it first before this because this is a prequel and reading it in the intended order will give you the full effect of this story!
Being able to get a peek behind the curtain into Bunny's past and understand her trauma was quite captivating. She has a hard time letting herself be loved and serious commitment is terrifying for her on a few different levels. I loved watching her experience pure love and work through her own hold backs to let love in. 💛 My girl truly went through it and I found myself going back and forth being frustrated with her and understand her fears.
The King of Consent, Mr. Demetrius Ivanov. This man will forever hold the torch of pure adoration for me. I was so excited to get some understanding on his character and how he became the attentive and compassionate lover he is. It was so interesting to see where his need for control stems from. I loved seeing him in this new light. His family dynamic made everything click for me. The positive influence from his parents is incredible.
It was so easy to connect with these characters and their backstory. To see both Bunny and Demetrius work through their own problems and needs! Junie, you do such an incredible job of weaving fiction with reality and The Hare in His Snare is such a beautiful piece of work!
Thank you for the opportunity to read your works, I'm forever grateful to you! 🫶🏼 great job! ✨
Holy shittttt 🥵🥹❤️ This was the perfect book for Bunny and Demetrius! Or, as I always say, Daddy Demetrius 😏 Thank you so much, Junie, for the ARC opportunity 🥹❤️ You have no idea how much I appreciate it!
Barbara Townsend, aka Bunny 😍 I loved how we dived into her past and history. I totally get why Demtrius is as obsessed and protective over her as he is. We find out how the book Run Rabbit, Run, came to be 🥵😌😏 Beautiful, intelligent, feisty, shy, mean 😂, vulnerable only with her man, a sub, a brat, bold, brave, and unconditionally in love with Demetrius. I loved how her caring, gentle, and loving side came out with him. She and I both are crazily in love!
Daddy 🥵😩 This man! Demetrius Ivanov! This man is mine forever. I can't live without him. Tall, handsome, mysterious, controlling, obsessed, protective, possessive, a billionaire, Russian, caring, a dom, a master, loves to spoil Bunny, and crazily in love with her. This man has been in love with her for ages before she even gave him a chance. I almost cried when he told her that 🥹 I was extremely, extremely happy for him. He showed me why you should always marry the older billionare gentleman and Russian 🥵 We also got a look into his life and why he is the way he is. I loved that!
This book was everything I needed and expected for Bunny and Demetrius. Their back story was much needed, and I appreciate it so much! The writing, characters, storyline, and care with which the smut was written is out of this world. This book is not only for entertainment, but to give us a glimpse into how to safely practice bdsm! If I ever was looking for a Dom, it's going to be Demetrius, and only him 🥹❤️
Holy hell, guys. What a wild ride. I actually don't know how much IG/zon/GR will let me say without trouble, so let's focus on the relationship (but please know: omg, sexy sexy sexy, healthy dynamic, safeword respected, consent is key). Here we go: Demetruis loves Bunny so fiercely and obsessively, it's insane (in the best way). I honestly didn't think I'd fall for him as fast as I did, but dang. I freaking adore him. How was he so funny while also being a total dick while also being so sweet? He’s so protective of her and it just hits me in the gut every time. Bunny finally was found by someone who could force her to see she was worthy of being loved and cared for. I said what I said. Once she felt safe enough to open up to Demetrius, once she realized he was the one strong enough to pick her back up when all the pieces fell, she was able to ask for what she needed to heal. I love that through the entire book, Junie uses her characters to share the message of how important constent is, and that it can be given or revoked at any time. No matter the situation, no matter how far into an act or scene, it's okay to change your mind if you feel unsafe or unwilling.
Can I give you some out of context quotes that made me cry? Cool.
"Waking up next to you is the closest thing to a religious experience I'll ever have." "That's not my home..." "No, but I am." "I'm ready to bleed for you."
All I have to say is...Wow! Juniper did an amazing job on this one. I wasn't one of the chosen to read her first book as an ARC but I bought it immediately upon release and once I saw this one go up for signup, 1JUMPED. So yes, this is an ARC Review. If you haven't read Run, Rabbit, Run please give that one a chance BEFORE diving into this one. Stick to it I promise it does not disappoint ! RRR starts off really heavy so of course check your triggers, BUT it all makes sense at the end.
Junie does a great job in this story outlining different practices in BDSM lifestyle staying true to her promise to represent BDSM in a healthy positive light as well as some very positive mental health rep. Bunny and Demetrius are the cutest couple! And while they both obviously have things to work through I hope we will get to see more of them... Because 1 feel like this story was left open still considering what we learned about Bunny and how little we still know about Demetrius. There was no overall conflict between tham and Bunny would just say it will have to be a discussion for later when anything did come up...
Overall? I loved it and will came back for a third serving when served. Check your triggers before reading because you need to take care of your Mental Health too !
I want to start this review by giving a huge thank you to Junie. Joining your street team has been such a fun experience and I’ve loved every second of it. The little community you’ve made on our discord server has made me feel so welcomed and appreciated.
The Hare in His Snare is a prequel to Hartmann’s Run, Rabbit, Run and will have you begging for more!
I knew I loved Bunny and Demetrius but oh my god, i love them even more. The Hare in His Snare follows Bunny as she meets Demetrius and processes the trauma she’s experienced from her parents. As a psych major, i found myself so excited to see so much mental health rep in a story like this. It was clear from Run, Rabbit, Run that Bunny has undergone a lot of traumatic experiences in her life, however, i never expected to see them processed in this way. It just shows that everyone heals differently and i love how representative Bunny and Demetrius both were in the story.
These characters, this world, I want more! I adore them and their struggles and everything that makes them, them. I want more of Bunny and Demetrius, I want to know the ins and outs of both of them. I adore this story and this world, I can’t wait to see what Hartmann puts out next!
I absolutely adored getting a more in depth look at Bunny & Demetrius’ relationship and how they got started! I loved the every bit of this book. The way Demetrius protected Bunny and helped her through her trauma, pushing her out of her comfort zone and listening to / respecting her boundaries. Demetrius really is the consent KING!
Bunny’s trauma really shows through on the page and the way Demetrius is fiercely protective of her makes my heart burst. I could never get enough of these two ♥️
I also LOVED how Bunny used her safe word and Demetrius stopped EVERYTHING to make sure she was taken care of and loved and just all around ok. He is my new favorite book boyfriend 🙂↕️♥️
Junie, you have once again blown it out of the water! I cannot WAIT to see what you come up with next 🥰
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Ease of reading: 📚📚📚📚📚
I don't even know where to begin or how to start this review.. to put in simple terms, I'm obsessed. Demetrius and Bunny have such a powerful dynamic to their relationship and to be able to see where it all began was just an absolute treat. The compassion that Demetrius extends to Bunny while at the same time being able to free her from her self destructive thoughts is addicting. The fact that a safe word is discussed and actually used in a healthy way makes this different from most books. I completely understand why we got 'The Hare in His Snare' after we got 'Run, Rabbit, Run', and I really hope that we get to see a little more of Demetrius and Bunny in the future, even if it's just another novella. Thank you Juniper Hartmann for writing a book I didn't know I so desperately needed. Also side note, the simplicity of this covers are gorgeous.
Wow, Juniper is a mastermind when it comes to the therapeutic benefits of BDSM in her books.
She blends mental health and how BDSM is built around trust and can, in certain instances, help cope with trauma (alongside essential therapy)
This book captures all that while containing some intense and highly erotica scenes.
Despite the fact that I know how it ends, since this is a prequel to her first book, Run, Rabbit, Run, I still had a dark rage directed a character in the beginning.
Despite this being a prequel, I highly recommend reading Run, Rabbit, Run first. It's worth it even for those of us who prefer timeline chronological order.
*****Please read the TW/CW thoroughly. This book contains highly intense themes that should not be taken lightly.
Favorite Quote:“Here’s to you, here’s to me, may we never disagree. But if we do? Well, fuck you! Here’s to me,”
I absolutely loved Run Rabbit Run so I jumped at the opportunity to read this prequel. I desperately wanted to know more about Bunny & Demetrius' story and this wasn't what I was expecting. And I don't mean that in a bad way.
Experiencing the journey of Bunny & Demetrius, two halves of a broken soul becoming one was absolutely amazing! As usual Junie keeps her readers engaged from start to end. The high highs and the low lows of their extreme codependent relationship was both heartbreaking and mind blowing. And of course as always Junie sure knows how to bring the heat 🔥🔥
When ARC sign ups went up, I knew I had to try and get this book after reading and loving Run, Rabbit Run.
Bunny and Demetrius are everything. Seeing how the two got together and the development of their dynamic has made the events of RRR even better.
His ruthless persual of Bunny because he knew exactly what he wanted and Bunny's flat out refusal because she didn't know how to be loved. Perfection. I loved how they worked through Bunny's mental health and that Demetrius had already done the work for his own.
The play scenes were so so good. I'll definitely be picking up these books again and will look out for more releases from this author!
Junie is an amazing writer and author. She has done it again. I didn't think I could love a couple more with Bunny and Demetrius. This second book had me fanning myself and in awe at the dynamic with these two. It was also shocking for me how hard Demetrius had to work to get Bunny's attention. This definitely shows their sub and dom relationship and how it started. Bunny's background definitely shed some perspective and why she had so many issues but finding Demetrius was absolutely thee best thing for her and they compliment each other so well along with normal issues everyone can have. Junie is definitely one of my fav authors so far and I can't wait for more from her! ❤️🔥
🌶️🌶️ 🌶️🌶️ Whew that was a ride🥵🔥 In this prequel to “run rabbit run” you get a look into the trauma Bunny experienced to form her into the person she is. I love getting a look into how Bunny and Demetrius relationship bloomed and formed into the “unconventional” relationship they have. By the time the book came to its conclusion I absolutely fell in love with them both. The spicy scenes in this book were sooooooo good! Definitely check the trigger warnings to make sure it’s a good fit for you and I’d definitely suggest reading “run rabbit run” first. As someone whos dealt with OCD as early as I can remember, I loved the representation in this book.
The backstory I didn’t just want, I NEEDED. The author absolutely made these characters come to life for me. The feelings I had for the characters by the end of the first book became so rooted into my heart with this book. Demetrius worked his way up to being one of my favourite book boyfriends ever as he won over Bunny and helped to soften her edges. Their dynamic makes SO much sense.
There were profoundly beautiful scenes and some that had me absolutely on the edge of my seat.
This author is an auto-read for me now.
Check your trigger warnings. A must read if you read the first book.
HIGH Recommended🔥❤️ This story gives a more detailed explanation of Bunny and Demetrius’ relationship and it’s just as good as RRR. It can be read before or after RRR and still be good but for a better effect read RRR before THIHS and you’ll feel the same way I did😩 the love this man has for her and the storyline was so amazing! I loved the development and the whole story was amazing not a single dull moment and the spice?!?😩🔥 it was very hot🤧❤️ I will most definitely be buying a physical copy so I can savor these beauties again and again 🔥🔥🔥
This was a slow burn type of story. Not slow burn in spice, but actual story. It was a lot of backstory of Bunny and Demetrius and them coming together as a couple of sorts.
Mental health was a big part of the story line. I think stories on this topic are some of the most interesting since it puts into perspective how they’re explained, in ways others might understand, but in a fictionalized context.
I’m grateful for the opportunity I had to read this story, as it’s the prequel to “Run, Rabbit, Run”.
After reading Run, Rabbit, Run, this book is perfection!! It would stand so well on its own, but RRR would definitely not be as good if you read these out of order. I absolutely love seeing how Bunny's walls come down as she gets to know Demetrius. Seeing their connection and trust in each other grow is one of the best things. As usual, I love a sassy girl, so I love Bunny's bratty tendencies. This is an excellent addition to Junie's books!
"Fix that face before I fix that attitude, Bunny."
Thank you, Junie, for letting me be a part of the team of ARC readers you've got!
The Hare in His Snare is the prequel to Juniper's earlier release, Run Rabbit Run (review can be found on my pages). This is a great telling of how Bunny and Demetrius came to be and the circumstances that led them to growing such a ...erm... unique relationship. 👌
Spicy, captivating, and easy to read with me having finished it 2 days!
You must read book one first or else you will spoil it for yourself... also, read the trigger warnings! There are a few, and they are very much specified for a reason.
Omfg this book and this author!!! This is a prequel to Run, Rabbit, Run and really answered all of my questions about the how and why I had in the first book. Juniper writes books that draw you in, gives your mind a little f**k and leaves you always wanting more. This is the story of how Bunny met Demetrius and how the relationship bloomed. These characters live in my head and I'm ok with that. Please read trigger warnings before diving in as this does have loads and loads of spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️, BDSM and erotica
