When Christmas is Cancelled: A M/F Steamy Contemporary Second Chance Romance

Rate this book
When Rosie does a good deed on Christmas Day, she's not expecting to come face to face with her very own ghost of Christmas past.

Rosie Kilbride's festive plans are derailed when her mother calls on Christmas Eve to postpone their family get together due to illness. Left with a surplus of food and no one to eat it with, Rosie contacts Ingrid, a local café owner, to find out if she still needs volunteers for the charity Christmas meal she's organising. Ingrid jumps at the chance, and on Christmas morning Rosie heads out, anticipating a busy but pleasant day doing something nice for others, followed by a meal of leftovers with her fellow volunteers.

Unfortunately, on being introduced to the café's kitchen staff, she discovers the head chef is none other than Luke Adams, the man who broke her heart into a million tiny pieces ten years ago. And she's got to work with him. Despite her inner turmoil, there's no way she'll let Ingrid and the diners down, so she's determined to grin and bear it. It's just a few hours, after all.

When the day is almost done, tiredness and hunger kick in, and emotions start to run high. Can Rosie get away unscathed, or will she be forced to deal with Luke and all the feelings his presence has dredged up?

>em>When Christmas is Cancelled is a standalone M/F steamy contemporary romance with second chance, age gap and BDSM themes.

Was lucky enough to get eyes on this book early.

When Rosie’s Christmas plans are thrown into disarray, with her parents falling ill on the eve of the big day, what is she to do?

Too late to wiggle her way into someone else’s gathering, she volunteers at her local cafe, serving up festive treats for those in need of company and a warm space. What she didn’t expect to see is her very own ‘ghost of christmases past’ running the kitchen.

Whilst the story has elements of very erotic sex, the story is actually really sweet and had me balling my eyes out in one part in particular. Really pulled on the old heart strings.

Highly recommended as a festive read.

Oh I enjoyed this! I must have done, I read it inside of a few hours XD got to love Kindle disguising the length of books. Saying that, it is a little on the shorter side, but honestly, that helps with its perfection. Everything that needs to be said is said, and it doesn't feel too short.

The storyline is adorable, and I actually found myself dying to know more about these characters. How did they meet with such a large age gap! How do her parents love him because by my calculations he would have been 30 to her 20 when they started dating and I can even imagine my parents reaction to that.

Also, his name is Luke. My husband's name is Luke. Bonus points XD

I'm getting off track, this was short, sweet and a deliciously spicy read. It tugged at the heartstrings and hit a spot when it comes to festive reads. :)

It was nice and relaxing story to read.
Second chance, spicy romance. Not very believable but that’s ok. Is the story..
After 10 years break they just jumped into relationship like nothing happened.
She was splitting the hairs but it was her mind not her heart.
Happy at the ending

Rosie Kilbride is aghast, her mother put her off . Told her not come over this Yuletide as she’s not well. Christmas Eve as well, not a lot of notice…oh well . Nothing to be done and left with, surplus food. She contacts Ingrid cafe owner ,to see if she’s still in need of volunteers for dishing out the Christmas meal she’s organising . Well of course she jumps at the chance of some help. That she’s introduced to the staff in the kitchen and she loses her cool. Her ex is the chef , gotta keep cool.Luke Adams smashed her poor heart to smithereens , ten long years ago. But it still cuts deep. Tiredness and hunger kick in and soon she’s flying high oh my right up , there that’s it. That’s her preferred second visit. She couldn’t resist , those eyes all missed filled and she’s soon having fistfuls of heat…Well it’s Christmas morning and here’s her surprise . It’s in his eyes the desire. She’s on fire . This man is Santa in disguise , the beard must chafe a little but excites here aft . More to raise a smile or a laugh. There’s some cute ,heartwarming moments ,all heat and meat aside. All signed up for the pleasure ride.Well written, steam fest palace , smitten book to read

The main female character, Rosie, is left by herself for Christmas due to her planned company cancelling. She decides to celebrate by helping serve meals at a local café with other volunteers for a Christmas charity. Upon her arrival at the café Christmas morning, while being introduced to other staff, she is faced with the man her broke her heart years ago.
This book has a cute storyline, but don't let that fool you! There is definitely spice in these pages, so check for triggers prior to reading. I personally enjoyed this book and it was a quick read for me. Perfect book to read for the holidays, while taking a break from stressors! So, take that well deserved break and open up this book to read a great festive story by Lucy! She did a great job on this story and of course check out the eye candy on the cover 😉.

Hvis du mangler en sød juleromance til din ferie, er den her. Second chance romance - enemies to lovers.

Main Characters:
Rosie Kilbride & Luke Adams

Review:
This was a fast second chance romance but enjoyable. I didn't like that it all came down to miscommunication, but I did like that Rosie didn't just fall back into a relationship with Luke. She did have doubts which was more natural then most novellas.

Tropes:
-Age Gap
-British
-Chef
-Christmas
-Grief
-Novella
-Second Chance Romance

Good story

Good shorter contemporary romance story about a second chance at love. 10 years later Luke moves back, and he reconnects with the love of his life, Rosie, while helping serve dinner on Christmas day. A bit of spice along the way. 😁🔥🔥
