5 stars - Loved it! Must gush about it for the next 4 days straight to anyone near me.
🌶🌶🌶🌶 4 chili peppers: Romance with 3 or more explicit sex scenes that use all the naughty words for body parts that would get your mouth washed out with soap if you said them in front of your parents as a kid.
PROS:
- magical realism
- continuing of a series
- established family
- organic writing, especially when shifting to spice
- short-lived angst with believable resolutions
- Epilogue!
- Sprinkle of tie-in for next series
- Each character has their own "flavor" and nuances
CONS:
- not too many, I was set against a newcomer and was not a fan for half the book, but Thorne wormed his way into my heart just like Faolan did.
- No recipes
BASIC TAKEAWAY:
Emberly Wyndham has done it again. I was immediately swept right back into the cozy cottage of Brookside with its hodgepodge of inhabitants. Plus, a baby on the way is always a sure fire thing to get me on your good side! When she introduced Thorne, I was okay… until attractions started. I even noted "no ma'am!" to tell Aurora she had quite enough going on. Neither she nor the author listened to me. Thankfully, because my angst was assuaged and the story wove Thorne right into the heart of this world. It also introduced a character that I would love to get a story on regarding Lilith. Each character retained their identities and were fantastically written, making you see them as individual personalities complete with quirks and habits. I am humbly surprised how much punch each of her books pack when it comes to the emotional breadth contained within them. I find her characters very accessible and easy to understand. Plus there is an epilogue! Which is one of my favorite things, as this book is one of those that stuck with me and I thought of it when not reading. If you need a whimsical earth witch that is the sparkle of several eyes, this cozy read is for you. Great wrap up of this series and I will definitely be looking for the Coven Crest Academy series that is on the horizon.
Did you think about the book when not reading it?
Yes
How severe was the angst?
When it happened, I was chanting "no no no no" and squinting the whole time.
What stuck out about it?
They were masterfully resolved with no bitter taste left behind.
Re-readability
Would read again.
Would you continue if part of a series?
Yes
How do the characters change throughout the book?
Rowan: this was his book for growth as his baby was on the way and he had instructions from Niamh that he had not yet heeded. He had to learn to work through the past and fears from trauma so that he could fully live.
Faolan: his hot-headed temper got him into trouble with Aurora. He learned by the end of the book how to respond to things in a manner that she would encourage. Which mended some fences with his brother.

pg 12: "All right, wolf, get a move on," Rowan grumbles.
"I will end you, tiny knight," Faolan growls in return.
Alden, ever the neutralizer, grabs hold of the both of them, one in each hand, and shoves them toward the door.
pg 28: [Faolan] Guess my asshole brother is joining us for tea.
pg. 61: [Aurora] Childish? Yes. Do I care? No.
pg 98: [Alden] Given how much he sleeps, you'd like that he was a cat and not a wolf. My lips curve up. I should save that one and use it on him later. He'd hate it.
pg 156 [Thorne] "I believe you'll do a wonderful job," he says softly.
"And I believe he's flirting with you," Harrison says in response.
pg 189: And Alden interjects, "Does Aurora know?" "Of course she knows," I scoff as I lean back, wincing again at the woulds etched into my skin. "Aurora knows everything."
pg273: "Thank you," he says, crawling into my lap and pressing his head against my chin. "You're my favorite human."
pg. 275: "Aw," Rowan says, shooting a sharp look at Faolan. "I liked that jam."
pg 286: What a lovely life we've carved out for ourselves here, tucked away into the woods, surrounded by nature and sunlight and more love than could ever be contained in one heart.
Who would I recommend this book to?
I think anyone that enjoys a warm cup of coffee and tea with a pastry, and secrets found in the woods, with a mischievous smile and wonder for the world would enjoy it. Or any cozy fantasy fans. That enjoy some spice sprinkled in.

I think I enjoyed The Witch’s Spell the best of all four books because it had so much going on. Thorne was a great addition to Aurora’s collection of men. I just love the coziness of this whole series. I would’ve liked a bit more spice, perhaps one final group scene, before the series ended, but I do love the way it ended.
I received a copy of The Witch’s Spell from BookSirens and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This book felt like being wrapped in a knit blanket, sipping something warm by the fire—with four sinfully gorgeous men nearby and a little magic dancing in the air. The Witch’s Spell didn’t just give me winter romance, it immersed me in it—heart, soul, and all my cinnamon-scented daydreams.
Aurora Silvermoon has become such a comfort character for me over the course of this series. She’s strong in the gentlest ways, glowing with maternal magic and quiet resilience. I loved seeing her bask in the love of her three men, each so distinct and devoted… and just when I thought this cottage couldn’t get any cozier, Thorne blows in with the snowstorm like a brooding mystery wrapped in frost and secrets. ❄️
And oh, Thorne. There’s something about a man who feels like he doesn’t belong, and yet can’t help but be drawn in by the warmth of found family. Watching him thaw—not just physically, but emotionally—under the gentle glow of Aurora and her men’s love was everything. His dynamic with Aurora was tender and deliciously slow-burning. Every touch felt earned. Every glance felt stolen. And the question at the center of it all—“Is there room for me in this overflowing love?”—just wrecked me. Because haven’t we all asked that, in one form or another?
The cottage vibes, the little Yule traditions, the soft moments of laughter and longing layered between spicy, heart-pounding scenes—it all just worked. This book had me smiling one second and misty-eyed the next. The fog that traps them? It might’ve kept them physically stuck, but what grew in that stillness was something so special. The idea that love doesn’t divide, it multiplies—that there’s always room for one more in the right heart? Yes, please.
This series continues to be my cozy, witchy escape. The kind of place you want to get snowed into and never leave. Studio Ghibli whimsy, Stardew Valley sweetness, and spice that warms you in all the right places—it’s all here. If you’re looking for a soft, steamy, snow-covered escape filled with love, magic, and found family… The Witch’s Spell is pure winter enchantment.
I had been looking forward to this book ever since I read book 3 (The Witch's Shifter) and I can say that it has been a fantastic series ender. Not only does Aurora meet the fourth love of her life, but other events in the story take place that make it decidedly more engaging. There's an unusual calamity they have to deal with; difficult personal issues involving family are faced by both Rowan and Faolan; and then of course there is the simultaneous excitement and anxiety felt with Aurora's impending delivery of her first child. All of these make the story highly engrossing, and I couldn't wait to see it to the end and find out how their growing family would eventually achieve their happy ever after. When it did get to the end, I was both supremely satisfied with the story's heartwarming conclusion, while at the same time disappointed that the series finally ended. I could only wish for future bonus short stories involving Aurora's children with the four men of her life. Oh how fantastic that would be if that happened!

I was not ready for this series to end and now it has, i feel lost without the joy and adventure of it. I've loved getting to read about Aurora and the men she's come to love as her own, though they've grown in numbers each book. Each of them have grown so much in each story and i love the progress they made, as well as the family they've now created with one another.
I definitely felt glad that both Rowan and Faolan got the closure they needed with their own families and the answers they deserved, since it seemed to help them both greatly with moving on to the next chapter of their lives. Alden did an amazing job with the baby crib and keeping everyone together, even if at times it was hard. Thorne even new to the mix soon found his place in the little family. The kids they all have sound just so adorable and most certainly have the best parents ever, they re gonna be soiled so much.
It would be nice to read more of their story one day, but then again i think this series could continue on forever and i still wouldn't have enough of it.

The Witch's Spell is the 4th book in the Season of the Witch series. It picks up not too long after the previous book and we find our favorite witch seven months along. Aurora's thoughts of having a quiet winter with her men quickly gets thrown out the window when various parties arrive on their doorstop. Add in a magical blizzard and things quickly turn into a race again time to solve the mystery of the fog.
As with the previous books in the series, it gives off a quick and easy read with a cozy vibe. It was well written and kept things interesting throughout the story. There was quite a bit going on in this story to keep the plot moving. Aurora and her guys work together with a mysterious stranger to solve the mystery of the fog as well as Aurora's growing feelings for him. I cannot wait to see how things progress with the growing family and hopefully a bigger house!

I’m feeling a little bittersweet writing this review, because it means that the series is over! I’m so sad to be finished with this world and these characters.
This was absolutely phenomenal, an amazing, sweet and well thought out ending to an adorable and cozy spicy fantasy series.
The dynamic in these books has really surprised me, I was worried at first to read a cozy book featuring so many partners but this author has not only made it work, but has rounded each and every character to have their own special place and uses in this world and in the relationship.
Amazing. I will reread this again and again in the future, and am super excited to hear that this author has other series as well that I can enjoy!
Thank you so much to booksirens and the author for the opportunity to read this beautiful series!
I'm so sad that this series is finished but I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us next!
I really liked how Aurora's character dealt with all of the drama this book sent her way. Rather than rely on her many manly heros to solve problems for her, she stood up for herself and the ones she loved while also not being afraid to ask for help or comfort when she needed it.
I thought Thorne was a fun addition to the group. We had some great scenes with all of the fellows communicating and further developing the realtionships they had with each other which made the story much more believable.
I was very glad that we got an epiglogue. It was so sweet and made me so happy for all of the characters. I will definitely be visiting Aurora and her family again when I need something seasonal and cozy!
This felt like the perfect ending to the series, although I'm sad to see it end. The Witch's Spell was as warm and cozy as the previous books, and I loved reading it. This book brings us Aurora's fourth love, as well as her helping to begin healing old wounds for her loved ones. The Yuletide timing fits perfectly, and teh epilogue is beautiful. This is a book and a series to read when you just want to feel happy for awhile. I highly recommend this book and the whole Season of the Witch series for fans of cozy witch reverse harem/ why choose romances. It's sweet and spicy, and I know I'll be rereading this series a few times.

I absolutely adored this series. It is just such a perfect, cottagecore read.
I'm just sad that Faolan never grew on me. He just didn't fit and everything about him, including their relationship felt forced.
The addition of Thorne on the other hand, was perfect. I loved him from the start and found him a perfect fit. Alden might have some competition for my favourite.
I recommend this if you love: 🌿 why choose 🌿 shifters, elves, witches and knights 🌿 seasonal reading 🌿 found family
Thank you Booksprout for the ARC.

Spicy, male female, why choose (no swords cross), 1st person multiple point of view, paranormal romance. I received a copy of this book and am leaving a review of my own accord. I adore this series, but I didn't feel the connection between Aurora and Thorne. LOVED Thorne, but I felt attractive men need to stop showing up because they can't build on to the cottage indefinitely. lol. Some of the relationships with secondary characters wrapped up too quickly for me, but otherwise the story and writing was cozy and engaging. The main characters all give me warm fuzzies, and the epilogue made me very happy. ❤️
Such a fun read although It was a bit disconcerting to have the story told and spoken in modern English, I think it added to the whimsy of the whole series. It’s good the series stopped at 4 books there’s no telling how many men Aurora would the have collected and all the daughters. With 4 men you would think at least one of them would have given the family a son. This world was so detailed I felt like I could get in my car and drive there to visit

I’m so sad this series is over. All of the characters won my heart over. As is her history, Aurora captured the heart of another and final man. It was so fun to go along with them on their journey to fixing the fairy portal, meet some new friends, celebrate Yule and see all of their happy endings. I hope these books come out in paper back because I will be adding them to my library. The magic, love, mystery in all of these books is magical
I was so very fortunate to receive and advanced reader copy and am happy to leave my honest review
This is the 4th book in the Season of the Witch series by Emberly Wyndham. This book introduces the final person in the family of Aurora Silvermoon. The Yule celebration is close at hand but a mysterious fog surrounds the village and no one can go out or come in. The family tries everything to get the fog to leave but it stays until they try something that can be exceedingly dangerous. All ends well and they all get their HEA. I highly recommend this book to all paranormal romance readers.

Overall: a man with a cane walks in during a blizzard and ends up falling in love with the green-haired witch. Oh and there’s a slight issue with a fog that has entrapped the whole town…
Pros: the fog and the magic they had to do to break it was cool.
Cons: the girl does not need four lovers. And the family drama with the wolf shifter and also with her own family was extra… I’m happy she’s happy but honestly, it’s a lot of men for one girl. Again, this series could have worked just as well with four sisters and four guys showing up and falling in love with them.

I loved the rest of the series, and I loved this. The world is somewhere I feel like I just don't want to leave.
I'm sad this is the final book in the series. It's hard to wrap up a series sometimes, and I feel this came to a satisfying end. It's a great book and series.
Thanks to Emberly Wyndham

Winter hits, Aurora and the guys are settling in. Appearing in the middle of a massive storm is a stranger, who ends up being the new guy. Great storyline about family, love, the future. This series is so good and I was very sad to see it end with this book. However, this ending was one of the best ones I've ever read. Now looking for more books by this author!.

Cute ending to a great series! Thank you to BookSirens for the ARC. All of my opinions below are my honest feedback.
The Plot: We wrap up the series with one more newcomer, Thorne, who stumbles upon our cabin after a dense magical fog traps everyone in the village. But we also have more unanticipated guests: Faolan's brother and his wife. Tensions are high and cabin space is low as Aurora tries to figure out a way to get rid of the fog.
My Thoughts: I thought this was a great wrap up to the series and I'm excited for the spin-off. I have no idea how Aurora can handle 4 broody guys in her house while managing all the food, growing a human, conflicts, and now the entire village depending on her to clear the mystery fog. I'm exhausted just thinking about it. I'm glad that we got some more detail behind Faolan and his brother. The only thing I'd change is the amount of attention to our characters. We've followed a pattern where each new person basically had each new book centered around them, but I felt that we lost some of the connections we had with Alden.
Other than that, this short series was such a fun journey to go on!
A welcome return, yet a sad farewell, to Aurora's cottage and her now complete family.
With her fourth mates arrival, there is fairy magic afoot, a mysterious fog to disperse, a very full cottage and more to learn about family, feelings and the past, along with the future.
There's an abundance of love, peace, tea, warmth and quiet strength.
This series is like a warm blanket, cocooning you in its coziness.
Aurora has finally completed her harem of men in this last book of the series. When Thorne appeared from the fog to wait out the weather, Aurora offered him a safe place to stay. This story was emotionally heightened as well as intriguing. I absolutely loved that there was an epilogue to wrap it all up. This was a great read.

Aurora’s journey wrapped up exactly the way I hoped it would—soft, steamy, full of magic, and somehow still tender enough to make my chest ache. Thorne was the perfect final piece, all frost and yearning, and watching him melt into her already full heart was the slow-burn ache I didn’t know I needed. This series is like curling up inside a cinnamon-scented dream, and if I could crawl into their cottage and never leave, I would in a heartbeat.
The Witch's Spell Book 4 of Season of the Witch series by Emberly Wyndham has been a ride by now it's ending and ties up all the loose ends and finds Aurora's fourth mate. It's a lovely series about love and acceptance, I really enjoyed it and am sorry it's over. I look forward to seeing what else this author dreams up.

This was such a lovely ending to Aurora's tale, she finally gets to meet the fairy folk, she adds to her harem and she does some powerful and meaningful magic. Not to mention the family's that are healed along the way. All in all a lovely read. And I loved the epilogue with the look at their future happiness.
A continuation of these great characters, with the new addition of Thorne. A lovely dynamic with these characters all blending well together. It has been an enjoyable read and despite waiting for each book, I can admit I loved them all. :D I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Just as everything seems to be finally settling down, a traveler appears in the night. The traveler arrives during a blizzard, Aurora insists he stay with them until the storm ceases. When the storms ends, a whole new problem begins.
Wonderful characters and amazing world building.

This was definitely my favourite book of the series. The relationships didn’t feel too fast and the characters were explained well. The ending was so cute! I truly enjoyed reading Aurora’s journey.
I have read all previous instalments of 'Season of the Witch' and enjoyed each one. They are lovely, wholesome, easy reads with a pinch of spice. I think it's right that this is the final one and it ended so beautifully with so much love and respect for all the characters.
This girl! With each book, Aurora finds another man to pull into her little family. This forth, and last, installment is probably the best yet. I'm sad that it's over. Also, beautiful covers on this series too.
The way the author created Aurora with such detail so we could almost feel her good nature and joy. Loved all of the magic. Such a wonderful family and of course a HEA!
