What's worse than having a serious lady-boner for your professor? Wait… we’ve done this already.
Life is full of twists and turns. Not to mention falls. Epic falls. Like ones that result in a medical coma.
For six months, I was oblivious to the fact that my plunge left me in such a dire state, living out my wildest–and sexiest–dreams, all while lying in a hospital bed.
Now, I’m awake. And this time, I am grabbing life by the balls.
Everyone better watch out because my eyes are wide open… and I’m not scared of anything anymore.
Gulp is the full-length sequel to Slurp, but is NOT part of the DNF Bookstore Shared World. It is written in my normal cadence and not with the intention of being purposefully cringy like the prequel. It is an FFM romance intended for readers 18yrs+ with a hefty list of content warnings. This amazing spicy romance and the second book to Edith’s journey, you’ll want to read in order to get the full effort these two books are trying to achieve. The author is the Queen of spicy, amazing smutty romance I would say, she completely sucked me in with this book and the last.
This book was amazing, it was spicy, and very surprising at the end. This is the continue journey of Edith, her bully Sam, the professor Rhett and another you’ll find out about. The story line is good and will keep you captivating with all the twist and turns and the spice, you’ll be wanting more even at the end. The author can really suck you into her story and have you wanting another and another. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
After having read the first book, Slurp, this was the perfect twist to that one. We have Edith waking up from her coma, not remembering what happened, and so many twists that you don't see coming. I love this author's brain and how twisted it can be. With her, you never know what to expect from one chapter to the next. If you loved Slurp, you're going to love Gulp, especially if you wanted that HEA.
Gulp is a contemporary romance written by Georgia Rayne.
💜 coma 💜 second chances 💜 past bully 💜 professors 💜 🌶🌶🌶 spice
Edith feels weird. She enjoys listening to different sounds to relax, but this one sound is not relaxing. Just a constant drip sound. What is going on? Huh….well nothing much, just seems she’s been in a coma for three months. Why doesn’t she have any memory of that? What happened? What will happen next?
This was a fun novella. It does follow Slurp and should be read in that order. I liked how there was a second chance arc that was tied into the storyline. I enjoyed reading all of the character’s perspectives as well in the book. Each person brought a different personality and perspective on what was happening. It was a fun short story ending to this fun tale.
A great story, big surprises around every corner. The FMC and her love interests were relatable, funny, and you just had to cheer for them to find their way together.
One accident could have cost the FMC everything, but she has a second chance at everything. What will she do with it?
Was it worth the wait for this sequel?? It sure was. If you read Slurp, and said where's that HEA??? Here it is...
This book is for everyone who read Slurp and said I want more story and less steam. It is a heartwarming story of Edith’s recovery and reclaiming control of her life. It has humor, poignant moments and a dash of spice at the end. It is a quick read but worth it!
This was another quick short read by Georgia Rayne. I love a good bully redemption story and this book did not disappoint. This book starts where Slurp ended and hits the ground running. Fast paced and the girl gets the HEA at the end :).
The Queen of Awkward Smutty Comedy Reigns Supreme—Again.
Oh, Georgia Rayne. You chaotic genius. Just when I thought nothing could top the gloriously unhinged fever dream that was Slurp, along comes Gulp—and I inhaled it in one sitting, laughing like an absolute maniac the entire way through.
Edith is back, baby—conscious, clueless, and as wildly inappropriate as ever. Fresh out of her coma, she wastes no time swooning over her professors and her questionably devoted nurse-slash-stalker (yes, still a thing), all while navigating the world with a level of oblivious enthusiasm that should be illegal and yet is… weirdly endearing?
There’s a certain magic to Rayne’s writing—a blend of smut, slapstick, and sass that shouldn’t work, but somehow does. She doesn’t just write awkward scenes; she sculpts them, polishes them, then sets them loose to wreak delicious havoc. You’ll cringe, you’ll blush, and you’ll howl with laughter. Again.
If Slurp was the literary equivalent of a shot of tequila you instantly regret but somehow still love, Gulp is the second round you absolutely didn’t need but enthusiastically demanded anyway. And I regret nothing.
Georgia, you absolute weirdo. You've turned awkward smut into an art form—and I am here for every gloriously uncomfortable second of it.
I am so happy the author decided to write this book and give Edith her HEA. This one took a little turn that i wasn't expecting but definitely enjoyed.
The characters had good chemistry. They were all very easy to like. Some of them had a lot of growth and changed for the better.
This was a really quick entertaining read. The characters were completely different from one another but just clicked perfectly with Edith. After the way the last book ended I was praying for this book and it was even better than I thought it would be.
Would have liked a little bit of Janine though. I love how Sam and Rhett bring out a different side to Edith but I would have liked to see her sub side with Janine more.
"Who would have thought that a coma would be the answer to my love life dilemma?" Love this line! Want to read more awesome lines? Read Gulp! I laughed from beginning to end and it was a laughing good time. Edith certainly grabs what she wants and doesn’t let go! We even get a line of a twitchy eye that was written so deadpanned that I had to laugh out loud. Read further in the story and Steve gets an eyeful of ……. Um someone forgot to shut the front door! The story may not be as cringy as its predecessor and it was wonderfully written with some surprises as well as certain words that could be taken as sort of outrageous yet outrageously fun!
This novella is a short, engaging, and delightful read.
Edith has spent the last three months in a coma, and upon awakening, she has resolved to live her life to the fullest. This includes pursuing the relationship she truly desires.
Despite this being a nove, the story is surprisingly detailed, with a steady buildup to the more intense moments. It features a compelling underlying narrative about a young woman determined to go after what she wants and needs, along with the supportive characters who help her on her journey.
After reading slurp last year, I was left with so many questions! And Gulp? Well, it answered many of those questions. And gave me the closure I needed from the cliffy from the first one.
This ticked all the boxes. It was very very quick to suck me into the world.
There was spice and plot! All packed into a very quick, but very amazing, read! I absolutely loved it! College professor? CHECK! School bully? CHECK! Special end surprise? CHECK!
This novella is a continuation of the story we were given in Slurp, but I'll be honest, I enjoyed this one a whole lot more. Watching the characters interact with each other in life, rather than just sexy times. We got to learn a little bit about who they are as people and while it's still spicy, that's not the main focus.
It was a fun short read, not as spicy as I thought it was going to be. I enjoyed the build-up with the mfc and Sam. Well written as usual, and characters had quite a bit of depth given it's a novella . Wish it had been slightly longer, but that's cos I always want more!
This was another amazing book by an author who knows how to keep you engaged and never knowing what to expect! It was a quick read full of angst, laughs, redemption, and the great spice she is known for. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I think you will enjoy it too!!
The book was very interesting. Edith wakes up from a coma she was in for months. Her professor and bully are both interested in her. after she gets released from the hospital and recovery center, she gets everything she wants.

Absolutely adore Edith and how when she woke up from her coma, she took the bull by the horns so to speak. I absolutely love this author and will always read her books. She makes it fun and enjoyable.
This is a really fun and smutty read with some great heartwarming moments. It was a gret continuation of the series. Edith and her group have a captivating story.
Edith comes out of a coma caused by a fall. Her parents ugh. Professor swoon, her bully has turned over a new leaf and then add in momma domme.. a fun unique read
This was another quick short read by Georgia Rayne. I like how after waking up from a coma Edith gets the whole story of what happens and is able to move on and get everything she had hoped for.
