Kellie was 14 when she began her diary as the zombie plague broke out, leaving her on her own with no idea where her parents and sister were. As the story has progressed, we now find her a young woman of 16 years who has seen and experienced far too many horrors for anyone to imagine. In this edition of the diary, Kellie shows she is willing to do anything, suffer anything in order to protect her sister.
The horribly dark and disturbing events that Kellie goes through at the hands of Victor made this book very difficult and uncomfortable to read. Human trafficking, drug use, and sex slavery are just some of the topics that come up in this story. In a world devastated by a zombie apocalypse, the darker side of human nature seems to rule, and the innocent suffer the most.
Kellie is such an amazing and well developed character. Her strength of will to keep fighting against seemingly impossible odds is inspiring. I'm holding out hope that she will be amongst the survivors at the end.

Well, that was harrowing to say the least. Seriously, all sexual/physical abusers, especially of children and young girls, should have their dicks cut off!! Don't send them to jail, just CHOP! 🔪 Or maybe in this case just feed their 🍆 to the zombies. 🧟♂️ 🤔 🤣

The final part of Kellie's Diary is dark, depressing and morbidly addicting - so much so that it actually comes with a content advisory in the beginning.
Kellie's Diary Part 5 is told from Kellie's memory, having to relive the experiences she went through, as opposed to writing them shortly after they happen. Kellie and Lydia end up becoming abducted by this community of men who later are revealed to be slavers. While Kellie becomes prized by the leader of the group, Victor, Lydia is kept safe within the leader's quarters in exchange for Kellie's complete compliance. There are numerous instances where Kellie reveals that Victor sexually and physically abuses her, as well as exposes her to drugs and alcohol in order to make her more agreeable. Kellie's willingness to follow his orders is strengthened by Victor's constant threats to hurt, possibly kill, her sister because Lydia is shown to have been bitten by a zombie.
As time passes, and as Kellie's experiences grow more morbid advancing to the point where she is "borrowed" by another man, as well as shared among Victor's friends, the community realizes that Lydia - despite being bitten - isn't showing any signs of sickness or turning. Lydia becomes Victor's new object of affection because she is believed to be "the holy grail" due to a possible immunity to zombie bites. This shift in affection causes Lydia to be taken away (where and why remain unknown), and Kellie to be thrown into The Pit - an underground chamber that housed multiple girls who were addicted to drugs, and used as sex slaves. While she befriends one of the other girls, Michelle aka Mick, it doesn't last too long before Mick commits suicide and the community camp grounds were broken into and many of the girls were rescued by .... *gasp* Sarah and Jonathan and their gang. YES!! A small bit of sunlight in the darkness of all this - they actually both managed to survive the zombie attack at the train.
This is a worthwhile zombie novel, but be forewarned this particular part is incredibly dark - if you didn't already understand that from the summary. The author opted to use the novel in order to bring awareness to a very serious issue that currently exists in the world - human trafficking and sex slavery. This decision is what contributes to greatly to the melancholy of the plot but provides a good critical thinking opportunity for the reader.
The author ends the novel with Kellie still determined to find her sister, so there still may be more installments to come in the future.

More and more excitement!
This instalment of the series was a bit more serious in it's content. But I feel it was time for more of the horrors that a young teen would face during such a trying time. Realistically, it most likely is described how it would have been like for the young ladies. Keep plugging along Kellie!

This installment of the series has been very hard for me to digest. It's not longer fun, it's horrific.

This was another great installment of the series. kellie is getting older nad now with 15 she has to deal with really bad things and people. This book explores the darker side of the zombie apocalypse and how people, in this case men, take advantage from the situation and use the helpless, in this case Kellie and other young women, to do as they like.
Reading this did not give you a comfortable feeling but it felt very realistic and was well portrayed. As usual we have Kellie telling the story to her diary Barbie and I really liked how reluctant she was to tell everything she had experienced and how she was still dealing with everything.
Although I highly recommend the series I think you should be aware of mature and troublesome content in this volume.

I really enjoyed this series...especially reading this saddening, yet horrifying experience from a young girl's view. I was deeply saddened by Kellie's ordeal in this installment...and by the fact that this same thing (minus the zombie parts) happen to young women and girls around the world in real life. It is very interesting to note how well this type of situation was depicted from her view. It really draws the reader closer to Kellie emotionally, connecting with her struggles as well as her desires. I also think that Bagman is finally proving to be what I suspected all along! I can't wait to read more from Kellie!

Titillating/Exciting/Scary
This is one of the best books I have ever read. Experiencing the events through Kellie's diary made me feel like I was there with her. I felt the anguish, fear and the lack of hope as she fought through the difficulties that Victor put her through. I was so enthralled that I couldn't put this book down. I am not one to read zombie apocalypse books, but I'm glad that I chose this book. I'm excited to read the next in the series and can't wait until it comes out. I highly recommend for you to read it.

Love it
I love the series but am getting pretty much ticked by these authors saying I can't lend the book out. I pay for the product, I have ownership of my copy I PAID for, if I choose to lend MY copy there should be no problem. Next time I see this I will no longer be purchasing the books by those authors and that goes for this series also.

Dark times
This story was very dark and brutal.But very much like it could/would be if this situation could ever occur.It was gut wrenching reading kellies tough times and horrible atrocities she's suffered.But again it fits the story and hopefully things will get better.

Wow! Holy crap! This story was from a perspective that I have never read before. I mean, I know about these crimes in our current world, but I've never actually read any personal accounts from survivors. This issue of Kellie's Diary was the best so far.
