Claire thought she was an ordinary girl but that soon changed when she discovered she is nothing but ordinary, till the day she gets kidnapped and the world that she knows is gone, she is a vampire hybrid how could she have not known!

know used in power play between two powerful men one her own father Anthony who is anything but the doting father, who will make it out alive will good strive through or will evil run amok,

the story line was told through her characters each chapter held something or someone different and new, the way the story was told to some may be genius but to me it was very confusing and hard to follow with so many characters,

out of all the characters i felt more for Mikhail having the job watching over Claire was not an easy especially with all that he knows and all that he cannot say you could tell the longing he had for her,

one of my favourite parts of the book was Claire description of Jason '' he had the body of a Greek God that practically lives in the gym, licking my lips i scrutinize the dark shirt that's hugging his chest in all the right places, such a great description which makes you visualise just what she is thinking,

I have to own up and say i particularly did not like Claire i found at the beginning of the book she was so shy then within a matter of a few pages she wanted to kick arse!! i really disliked Claire indecisiveness especially with all the men in her life who is she truly in love with? i just didnt get it, the story line did nothing to grip me or want to read the next in the series,

if you are a fan of paranormal romances and you do not mind a slow reader then maybe this is the book for you, Reluctant Storm is for the more mature of readers,

What would you do if you found out that you were part of a vampire family? Claire goes about each day trying to not bring notice to herself. Then she is kidnapped and finds out about her true past. She is used in their pawn of games. Mikail has spent his whole life trying to protect Claire. What side of that games does he work for?

This book is told from multiple points of view but P.A. Warren does a great job of developing all of the characters. And just when you think you have something figured out BAM she throws a twist in the story. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and keeps you turning the page to find out what happens. It was great to see Claire grow from a shy girl to one who is going to conquer the vampire world.

If you are looking for a great paranormal book that keeps you wanting more then pick up this book.

I have been waiting to read this book since its release, I'm so glad I waited after reading some extremely boring and monotone books, reluctant storm has restored my wavering love of reading. It's fast paced, witty and just enough erotic to make you blush a little :) Claire really is alone in the world, he father she never knew, her mother never waited her,she resented Claire, so out in the world on her own, head down, keep to herself, nearly invisible, she has no idea how important she really is. Not only is she not invisible but she is being watched by protecting eyes and evil hateful eyes. It takes a kidnapping for Claire to learn the truth and change her entire life, she transforms from a mouse to a force to be reckoned with. She loses herself in her life and embraces what it means. A definite read, well done to P.A Warren, I'm looking forward to the next instalment

This book was fast moving and full of suspense. There is never a dull moment, and you will be sitting in the edge of your seat the whole time! I loved getting to see everything from multiple points of view, especially Claire's. The one thing I loved most, is everything is so unpredictable. It feels like most books these days are so predictable you could guess the ending half way through. Not Reluctant Storm.

It was so refreshing to read a NA paranormal. It gives you all of the adventure and well thought out plots that you get from YA paranormal, without having to wait four books for people to actually express how they feel about one another. I would recommend Reluctant Storm to anyone that loves either YA or Adult Paranormal stories. It's the perfect mix, with a happy ending that will leave you waiting for the next installment.

Love, love, love this book!!!! P.A. Warren has done it again! This time she has created a world with feuding vampires with a mix of hybrids and vampire witches with some family rivalry thrown in. I really enjoyed this book. I really loved the characters, the good guys and the bad guys. The villains were cruel and evil and the good guys were sweet and heroic. There were even a few that were good guy turn bad guy and bad guy turn good guy.
This was the type of book that sucked me in from page one and gave me out loud emotions. I didn't want to put this book down, yet I wanted to take my time so it would last longer. There is only one bad thing about Reluctant Storm and that's having to wait for the next book. I definitely recommend this book!

I won a copy of this book for an honest review. This will never effect how I like or rate a book.

I managed to finish this at after 1AM, in ways it's a good thing. Of course I got to bed after so hopefully I remember everything I was going to talk about. The best news is though I got it done!
This is the first 'New Adult' book I've read. I've seen other books in this new genre and whether they have fantasy/paranormal elements or are contemporary they all sound like romance to me. I can't say as a whole since I've only read about a few but these are for the ones I've seen. As far as this one goes it definitely should of just been called romance. It's almost like romance got a new brand name to sound more hip but that's what it is as far as I can see at the moment and really I'm not too shocked.
No, if I'm to be honest with myself I went into this book with low expectations and even with that frame of mind this book really didn't do it for me. I thought maybe it would just be a cheesy romance that if I just got myself in the right frame of mind I could maybe have a fun time with, give it three stars and get it over with. Well I did get it over with but a fun time was mostly lacking. There was some unintentional laughs that I don't think the book intended to give me but then maybe it did with just how ridiculous it got at points.
The best part of this book was that it was such a quick read. It felt like it wanted to play the who can you trust game but instead it played the bad relationship game. Now that I've said that lets try to break down this love square.
We have Jason who managed to get in the first kiss out of the three. Oh Jason, you really were the most worthless of the bunch and the characters treated him as such. He was really not with it most of the time and the others had no trouble telling him by calling him stupid at a pretty constant rate. Compared to the other two I never seen him as competition. Maybe in the beginning when things were still in love triangle mode but after there was never any chance for him.
Going on to Riley, the more lucky older brother. Or should I say the Stockholm relationship. Who else knew this relationship had been rigged? Especially after Mikail made that phone call to Claire's grandmother after he found out Riley and Claire had bonded. Yeah, I wasn't fooled in what had happened, and especially with the way Claire was acting. Still Riley may have had flaws and the relationship may have been a fraud of a disaster but I'll give Riley this, he really was the most developed character. It was easy to care about him and feel glad at this new change in him.
On to Mikail, Mr. destined to be with Claire. He was the best out of the three as far as romance went yet I'm not so quick to let him off the hook. He had that dominance issue that all of them had that felt pretty unhealthy. Pretty much saying none of the relationships seemed like healthy ones but if I had to choose which one I thought would be best for Claire I'd choose Mikail; and really other than that one thing he did seem like a pretty great guy and was the most likable character in this whole book in my opinion.
In a way though I feel bad for them all. They were all just as obviously pawns as Claire was.
So those were the relationships. Lets get to this craziness of a plot. All these guys eventually trying to protect Claire while two vampire leaders want her dead. Out of the two major antagonists I'll easily side with Antony, he may not have lasted as long as Griffin but he was a lot less laughable. Griffin was overall the maniacal laughter and mustache twirling type. He was the bad guy and that's really all there was to him. Antony had more reason for his bad deeds. In the end though I guess it doesn't matter since they both did horrible jobs at trying to kill her.
Antony was trying to do it for Anya, who is probably the next useless character. It was easy to forget she was even there and really for what she did do she didn't add much. She did set some things in motion but one could of easily been done some other way and the other only would of been worth something if the person had actually stayed dead.
Those poor Dumont brothers. One was better use dead but then resurrected to be evil before he got killed again. The other died got resurrected and got all of his character development taken away just so he could most likely be the big bad guy for the next book who will probably be leading the killing machine vampires. Their lot in life certainly was unfair but hey now Mikail is the last man standing for Claire. It had to be done I suppose.
Oh Claire I bet you thought I forgot to talk about you. You and your clumsy self. Letting men constantly dominate her. She's not completely useless though, she does do a few things in the book just not a whole lot of them. Though I do have to say she's a horrible book keeper. Even after she was freed she didn't give much thought to the book that was no longer in her possession which was suppose to be so important. I like though how she thinks that being bound to someone means that you would be completely up to having sex with some other guy in a room not far away.
Since I'm coming to the end of this I will say the writing here wasn't that great. She. Liked. To. Do. This. A. Lot. Yeah, I really don't know why but I guess it helped give a laugh. There were also quite a few typos but I'm a bit more lenient on that.
It wasn't a horrible book it just really wasn't for me. I would recommend it to fans of romance who are likely more used to some of these things than I am. I've read some romance but it's not my genre of choice. This was just me saying to heck with it and trying a 'New Adult' book. I'm not sure if I've completely given up on this new genre but I'm not going to go out looking for more anytime soon.

This was a fast paced action packed thrilling paranormal book! Claire is a college girl that finds herself the argent of warring vampire factions. She doesn't know her father is the vampire king until she becomes a pawn. She believes she is a human when in fact she is a hybrid, part vampire , human and powerful witch! Her own father wants her dead . She meets and is supposed to be protected by three different guys, all with there own agendas. Jason the vampire son of the man that wants power and control of the vampire nation. Riley his estranged brother that stayed and worked for their father was supposed to brutalize Claire yet felt compelled to save her, making himself a target by going against his father. Riley bonds with Claire. Then there is Mikial , he believes Claire is his mate, he will do anything to see her safe and Queen.
What a book! The action was great, the story great, the characters were exciting , surprising and some straight up baddies! There were plot twists and turns you never saw coming, very refreshing in a book! There was magic and betrayal so many good things to keep me reading. Truly enjoyed this book, looking forward to reading more!
