Camryn Parker is from a rural area of Southeast Missouri, stuck between two small Cooter and Steele. She's about to start her senior year of high school with the recently integrated schools between the two rival towns, and she's determined to have her best year ever as captain of the cheerleading squad and dating the quarterback of the football team. Camryn seems to have it made until things take a turn. A fellow student, and member of Cam's social circle, suddenly disappears without a trace. Cam and her friends join in the search, when strange things begin to plague them. A mysterious diary appears, hidden in a wall of the school, and it shows the life of a girl being tortured and stalked. Whose diary is this? Camryn digs deeper, and her world is flipped upside down as she discovers a string of murders. When someone else that's close to Cam also goes missing, she knows time is running out. Is the diary the key to finding out who is behind these mysterious murders and missing girls? Is there anyone she can trust? Things like this don't happen in small towns. After all, there's no such thing as a secret in a small town. Right?

This book was so good!!! It was so suspenseful and I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen. Thank you to Gina for using my dad’s name as the fire chief. He loved being the Fire Chief at Steele for all those years and that was a true honor!! Great book!!!

This book is about my partner’s hometown, Cooter. It’s a mystery/thriller focusing around teenagers going missing. This book had me asking all types of questions about the area, and the author kept a lot of things true to home.

I was Gina’s second grade teacher and she had a talent for writing even then. I thought it was so well written (like that of a seasoned writer). I loved the incorporation of people and places in our small town. When I read mysteries I am always trying to figure out who is the villain. I didn’t figure it out so I am rereading it to see what I missed. The only other book I have read again immediately after I finished was WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING. It sure threw me off as did this gem. If you haven’t read Small TOWN SECRETS, I highly recommend you get a copy and allow yourself time to read. Once you start you won’t want to put it down. I am looking forward to other books Gina will write. Great job Gina keep on using this amazing imagination you have been blessed with.
