Collecting Cities presents mainly items from Patrick Geddes' second Cities and Town Planning Exhibition, assembled with the help of the Architects' War Committee after the original exhibition was lost in the Indian Ocean when the ship carrying it was sunk by the German raider, SMS Emden, in 1914. Volker Welter has made a thematic selection from material held in the Geddes collection held by the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.
