Robin is in a pickle she’s been harassed by a coworker about being his date so she tells him she already dating someone which is a tiny lie, so now she needs to find a date.
She remeets Uncle Callum at the bar and they hit it off all those years of wanting are finally being opened up. Now they have some fun in a room and leave eachother for the night. But that doesn’t stop Callum he got a taste now he wants forever. It’s alittle hard since Robin does push away alil and dealing with her father. It’s a doozy but they finally take that step. And he shows her he is 10000% down. Which I loved that he was the one who wanted her didn’t matter that his best friend was the dad. You go Cal!!!
Sexy moments and drama when the dad finds out. I’m glad it took dad awhile and didn’t really kill the best friend for loving his daughter.

This was a hot, short story that is tons of dad's best friend goodness. MM MM MMMM. Callum has known Robin since she was young, but he didn't become attracted her until she was of age. Robin, likewise, has been in love with Callum since she was eighteen. When her mother destroys her family, Robin tries to hold everything together and she thinks she has to put her wants, needs and feelings aside for her dad. But Callum wants to show her that she doesn't have to.
Cal was H O T. And the way he took care of Robin was swoonworthy. Also, this book has ASMR kink which I've never read about in books before and it's super intriguing. I don't think it's a kink that would do anything for me IRL but I'm curious to know if it features in any other romance books.

I devoured this novella in one sitting, and i've unlocked a new kink (ASMR kink 😱). Callum and Robin were on fire!! i loved how real and relatable they both were. Their relationship was forbidden (he is older than her and her dad's best friend), but at the same time, it felt so right for them to be together. And dang, uncle Callum's filthy mouth could make any woman melt 🔥. Overall, this was a quick read with a heavy dose of steam, perfect for anyone who loves age gap romances and wants to discover some new kinks.

Robin is 20, and has been hiding her feeling for her dad’s best friend for the past 2 years. Robin's life lately has been a tornado of different situations: her mom abandoned them, her dad gone has gone into his sad boy era, and her co-worker just keeps harrasing her. So, when she has to attend an important work party and he once again harassed her, she says she has a boyfriend that she'll be bringing along. Except, there is no boyfriend. That's hot she finds herself at a bar of sorts looking for a date.
Fortunately or unfortunately (however you want to see it), she bumps into her Uncle Callum - her dad's best friend - who's back in town to cheer up her dad. Though they haven't seen each other in a long time, that doesn't stop Callum from having a taste of what's desired for so long. There was a bit of hesitancy from both parties on how they could work around their already established relationship into this new one they wanted to explore together.
Dad Can't Know also explored the world of ASMR k!nk which I found very intriguing. I had never read a book with this trope before. It is a quick read and it's more loving and sweet than angst and tension but it was still pretty good.

I do wish the story was longer. I loved the relationship between Callum and Robin. The book ends with a HEA, but I wanted it to keep going. I wanted to know more about what happened next.

I knew I would like it because anything written by Eva is incredible, but I didn't expect to like it THAT much! I thought I might die with how spicy it was, for real!!! It was super incredibly insanely hot! And the whole ASMR kink?!?! Mama! I need more recommendations! This is new to me, but this certainly won't be the last book I read with this kind of kink! Enough about the spice (even if it's one of the best parts), I really, *really* like Cal and Robin's dynamic. I can't get enough of this book... I finished it not too long ago, but I just want to read it yet again! (It won't take me really long to do a reread, though...)

I knew I would like it because anything written by Eva is incredible, but I didn't expect to like it THAT much! I thought I might die with how spicy it was, for real!!! It was super incredibly insanely hot! And the whole ASMR kink?!?! Mama! I need more recommendations! This is new to me, but this certainly won't be the last book I read with this kind of kink! Enough about the spice (even if it's one of the best parts), I really, *really* like Cal and Robin's dynamic. I can't get enough of this book... I finished it not too long ago, but I just want to read it yet again! (It won't take me really long to do a reread, though...)

This novella is a quick spicy, age-gap, dads best friend sweet romance that also includes ASMR and a touch of taboo. To be honest it was the first time I had read a book with ASMR kink and I would defiantly read another if they were written like this one. The taboo aspect is more to do with the Callum being the best friend of Robin’s dad since they were young and has seen her growing up, so she calls him Uncle Callum. It is made clear in the story though that they both started having feelings for each other when she was over the age of 18. If you want a quick spicy fun read a with a possible new kink then give this one a go.

Another quick and great read from Eva Marks! Full of forbidden desires, age gap, a new unlocked kink - ASMR k!nk, and great spicy scenes!
Now, there was parts, which were predictable, but it didn’t matter, as the plot was progressing nicely anyway! It would have been probably great to see more on the whole mom leaving and not really caring about her kids. But i guess that’s a different story.
I loved Callum and Robin. It was also great to see that Callum fell for Robin after she turned 18, and his abstinence for 2 years, now that’s a man in love! Their chemistry was great, and that scene at the dinner? Callum, Callum, you naughty, naughty man!

Dad Can't Know was about Robin "Robi" Fontaine, a 20-year-old college student, and Callum Reinhart, a criminal attorney, and her father's BFF.
Both Robin and Callum started developing romantic feelings for each other around her 18th birthday but neither of them acted on it. In fact, to avoid doing so, Callum moved from New York to California just so he didn't cave in to his desires. While he had remained celibate during their time apart, Although Robin had one relationship in the 2 plus years they were apart, it didn't last long and she didn't hook up with anyone else
When Robin's younger sister called to tell her that she couldn't get ahold of either one of their parents, she went to check on them. She found her father in his room in tears. Not knowing what to do, Robin reached out to the only person she could think of...Callum. He calmed her down enough to be able to talk with her father to find out what was wrong. She soon learned that her mother had apparently been cheating on her dad for at least a year (with her former high school sweetheart) and that she had left him for the other man and filed for divorce.
Two months later, one of Robin's male coworkers, who enjoyed harassing all the females, kept putting the moves on her. Even when she told him she was in a long-term relationship (a lie), he wouldn't back off. A female co-worker told her of a club she should go to in order to find a date for an upcoming company event so that the male coworker would back off. She thought it might be a good idea as well. Not long after arriving at the private club, Robin soon ran into Callum...literally. One thing led to another and they were given the key to a private room where they engaged in ASMR. Once it was over, Robin asked him to exit first, then she'd follow. She didn't see him again until her dad invited her and her sister to a weekend lunch. Unknown to either sister, he had also invited Callum.

Yes, I left a ton of information out, mainly because I didn't want to spoil it for the next reader. However, I also gave more information than I thought I would. It was a really enjoyable age-gap story.
The main characters were a bit wishy-washy at times, but they were both well-developed and mature. There was plenty of push-pull between them, but neither walked away when things got hard. While they did show respect for each other and give space when one of them asked for it, there was no breaking up.
The story had a good amount of angst and drama, but it had a smidgeon of humor and heartache as well. The storyline had plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader glued to the pages. However, it also had plenty of unresolved issues. Robin's mother was never heard from. She didn't have any place in the story other than to be mentioned from time to time, but she never showed up back up or contacted her kids after walking away from her marriage to Robin's dad. It would have been nice for her family to get closure in that respect. There was also the issue with the guy at work who enjoyed sexually harassing his female coworkers. Nothing was ever done about him other than Callum telling him off at the party.
Even though it had a few issues, it was very well-written and an enjoyable love story. It definitely earned a five-star rating. I hope the author writes two more stories to go along with it, one written about Robin's sister, and the other written about her father finding happiness.

Hmm, idk where to start from. Usually when I love a couple enough for them to cloud my brain? I know it. Somehow, this just didn't do that for me. It's a steamy romance between the girl and her father's best friend. As interesting the trope sounds, the plot was beautifully simple and handled. The problems faced by the couple were shown beautifully and smoothly, the way Callum would process her emotions, be there for her, go easy on her was quite heart-winning. And vice versa, Robin's constant fear of her das finding out and her reacting to it was all written genuine.
Where did it go 'not my favourite book' for me? Three things.
1. ASMR kink. For someone who feels turned on by this? Sure, you can give it a try but rest assured, it did nothing to me, lmao. Not a fan of ASMR kink sex.
2. The mother. When you touch a topic, it is also another form of art not to visit that topic in a solid manner but still cover it up pretty much in the most solid manner. Sometimes, it does look good to touch a subject and leave the reader waiting for the answer or the scene to witness. Even if the mother did leave the dad for her ex, nothing is shown of her which is disappointing. She is mentioned in the whole book but the least could have happened was had some sort of confrontation with her, or some memory or anything to give shape to the image of the mom we tried to have in mind. There was nothing related to the mother which automatically made it seem a bit empty to me.
The dad, on the other hand, is shown remarkably.
3. The dad finding out the romance and sex between his best friend and daughter. It seemed that the author rushed the ending because she was too tired and wanted to just end this. When a dad finds such a thing out, there is usually more drama, more talkings, more hardships the couple faces before reasoning comes to hand. Here, even after the dad found out as he walked right on them doing the deed, he smacked him, said 2 lines and then, "If you're happy, I am happy." The end. I mean.....what? That instantly just deflated me because the rise of emotions weren't there what I wanted. I wanted the proper emotions and the proper scenes, not this.
Anyways, a good read still

Miss Eva you sure know how to write novella! As y’all know if you have read my reviews before me and novellas have a love hate relationship, purely because I’m greedy 🤣 however what I love about Eva is often she will carry those mains we love so much into another novella and my appetite is satisfied haha.

I devoured this book in one sitting - I’d highly recommend NOT starting this at night time. It was a great read and gave me all those juicy feels I crave in a forbidden love romance

Robin is the eldest daughter of Wes, and around her eighteenth birthday Robins feelings for “uncle” Callum have started to change. Little does she know that the feelings are mutual. Not that they could ever act on it, right? Deciding to put distance between them Callum moves across the country but what would happen if he was called home? Straight back to the temptation he fled from in the first place.
Sigh. Here I am yet again adding another kink to my list. I am starting to collect them like I’m expecting to receive a trophy for it. 😆 I enjoyed this book a lot. The build up was intense and done perfectly. And the explosion when it came to head...well let’s just say it doesn’t disappoint.
I adore how the main characters interact with each other, especially how Callum cares for Robin. The spark between them was easy to see and amazing to watch grow. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves the tropes listed!

Sigh. Here I am yet again adding another kink to my list. I am starting to collect them like I’m expecting to receive a trophy for it. 😆 I enjoyed this book a lot. The build up was intense and done perfectly. And the explosion when it came to head...well let’s just say it doesn’t disappoint.
I adore how the main characters interact with each other, especially how Callum cares for Robin. The spark between them was easy to see and amazing to watch grow. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves the tropes listed!
Thank you to the wonderful author Eva Marks for letting me get an ARC of this newest book. When it comes out in print I will definitely be grabbing it for my bookshelf.

I already knew going into this Novella it was going to be damn good & when I tell you a new kink I never thought about was unlocked! This is an age gap/forbidden romance with some pretty amazing spice! Robin Fontaine has had certain feelings & attraction towards her Uncle Callum since she turned 18. Now Callum isn’t necessarily her uncle in blood, he is her father’s childhood best friend. He moved away when she turned eighteen due to his feelings changing for her & he knew he couldn’t handle being close to her, especially with her father & his best friend Wes. After bumping into each other at a “club”, they have a very intimate time together which includes them not touching each other either, but it was mind blowing. Callum is very serious when it comes to taking care of his Robin, so when he finally lets all his feelings out on the table it’s not a shock that he would go to the ends of the earth to have her. Robin on the other hand has second thoughts because her father is already struggling mentally & emotionally since his wife left him for her high school sweetheart recently, so she doesn’t want to hurt him while he is already down. My jaw hit the floor when Wes walked through that door at the moment. This novella is full of suspenseful & thrilling moments. This definitely does have a happy ending & it will have wondering if you have a new kink unlocked! Who knew you could “explode” by only ASMR.

PLOT: I personally loved how the plot went, both fast and fun and no loop holes present for you to get confused. As the plot kept going up you most certainly will remain captivated throughout!
CLIFFHANGERS: The book didn't have many cliffhangers, but the cliffs definitely made me turn to the next page! Especially towards the ending, hehe.
SPICE: I LOVED IT, I personally, never read a book that does mention the ASMR kink, and it had me shifting in my seat wanting to know more. The spice was also so worth it, like *whistles* damn...(fun fact: every man in every novel, is automatically Henry Cavill. SO it made the experience a whole lot better)
DETAILS: Everything in this book was detailed! The scent of Callum, Robin's voice...LITERALLY, EVERYTHING WAS DETAILED IT HAD ME IN AWE.
EMOTIONS: Most certainly, the author knew what she was doing, some scenes were like twisting a knife in my chest at the forbidden romance. Other scenes made me cry. Some scenes made me squeal. Some scenes made me kick my feet in the air like a kid. I loved it!
This book is definitely going to my REREAD list! Some novels can be read once, but this one can defo be read again! I don't often read novellas, but I really loved this one. I loved everything about it. From the very beginning to the very end! Author Eva did an amazing job with this novel, this was also the first novel I read by her and it didn't disappoint! It was definitely a fast & steamy story that leaves you wanting more. Callum and Robin have always known each other since Callum has been Robin’s Father Wes’s best friend since preschool. He watched her grow up from a little girl to a beautiful & smart woman. When she turned 18, that’s when his feelings change into something more. He sensed a change in her but he didn’t want to act on his feelings and ruin everything, he moved away not knowing that Robin started to fall in love with him.
Years passed & he’s back to be there for his best friend who has been betrayed and left by his wife (Robin’s Mom) who destroyed their family.
Once he sees Robin, those feelings never left and are much stronger. He’s the one who knows her inside and out.
Robin has been trying to be the strong daughter and not break down in front of her father but sometimes it gets too much and that’s when Callum shows her it’s okay to let go and feel. She knows she can truly be herself with him.
To be honest I never seen or heard of ASMR kink and I was really fascinated by it. Callum is a whole different breed of man and he can definitely get it. 🥵
Will these two be able to come out on top and with his best friend’s and her Dad’s approval or will it all goes up in flames? Is there love strong enough to overcome the obstacles?

This novella was exactly what was expected from Eva. It had all the spice that I’ve come to expect along with the taboo aspects / age gap that I adore.
Callum is Robins fathers best friend and she has grown up calling him “uncle.” When she turned 18 she realised that her feelings for him had changed and morphed in to something no longer innocent.
Little did she know, that he was experiencing the same change himself. In order to keep his distance, he moves to the other side of the country, for two years he manages to stay away besides special occasions. All until he receives a phone call from Robin about his best friend having a breakdown because his wife left him for her high school sweetheart.
They run into each other at a club and they end up in a private room together and engage in a hot encounter involving ASMR. From then they continue to fight their feelings until they no longer can and BOOM!
This one was a little lighter on the actual feed than some of her other books, but the book wasn’t lacking since the scenes that are building up the crescendo are well done.
