What Just Happened?!? 😮
That cliffhanger was BRUTAL! This book was great, but I am genuinely so conflicted right now. The world of dom-sub is intense and when you start getting deeper into the nitty gritty of each kink, my hands went over my eyes! 🫣 But there’s just something about the way Harley writes that makes this story so damn addictive! The tension and fear I felt on Emery’s behalf never let up. The whole time I was teetering between being super uncomfortable, intrigue and downright scared! What a ride, fantastic sequel to book one Harley!

I’m so beyond annoyed and confused and pissed off right now. I don’t even know if I can write a review.
How can a writer just destroy a book in its final chapter? My mind is blown. I guess it’s obvious but the reason this isn’t getting five stars and only getting a reluctant four stars is because of the final chapter. A chapter might I add that is so out of character and makes absolutely zero sense to the story as a whole has left me completely dumbfounded, and to be honest pissed off.
Nothing and I mean nothing makes sense about the last chapter.
For the past two books, the men outside of scenes have been nothing but sweet and loving and caring and thoughtful and loving daddies. In book 2, they have come to care about the FMC and want her in their lives. They constantly make comments that she is theirs and that nothing could take her away from them and that nothing could change their mind about her to them. They tell her that she could trust them and trust the words that they say to her.
At the end of this book, they let her sign a six month contract, letting her know how committed and dedicated they are to her. She gets very personal and caring gifts from them. And again they constantly reassure her how much they are into her and how much they want her and that nothing and I reiterate nothing could change their feelings about her or make them stay away from her at this point
Xavier even go so far as to carve the word mine into her butt cheek. They are completely 100% into her and let you know as a reader that nothing would change that.
Fast-forward to the end of the final chapter. Where they within one second turn into complete coldhearted douche bags, hurt her and rip away her trust that they gave to her and leave her without a second thought. Tell me how that makes any motherfucking sense to how they acted the entire first two books?!? I’ll tell you it makes no sense whatsoever like at all. It is completely out of character from the guys and the story. And an insane overreaction on their end, especially because these are some grown ass men. Who supposedly are completely crazy about her and promised to never let her go no matter what.
So they find out that she is a student at the university they supposedly are professors at. Which is also somewhat confusing to me, and I don’t remember it completely accurate but I think in book one they told us readers that they have their own businesses. So that doesn’t sound like them being professors it sounded more like them being businessman . But anyways, that doesn’t matter, they are so pissed off at her that she didn’t tell them that she was a student at that university and then right away because she is a student there they tell her basically to fuck off. They want nothing to do with her and turn their backs on her and walk away.
Which again is such an over-the-top reaction, like I get it they’re not allowed to fraternize with a student. But to react the way that they did is just ridiculous and again out of character. They constantly promised her they wouldn’t hurt her yet the first opportunity they get they do. I mean, they totally could’ve went somewhere eventually and talk this out as normal adults and figured out where to go from here. Again the reaction was shit and ruined it completely for me.
Another thing that I don’t understand is, these are extremely intelligent, grown men professors, if you will, but none of them put together that an 18-year-old on a sugar daddy website living close to a university could have possibly been a student at said university? None of that even crossed their minds when all of them are professors? Bitch, please that doesn’t make any fucking sense.
And Xavier is some computer, genius hacker kind of guy. He was already looking into all of her information. But he didn’t get any information that she was enrolled in college, which is such a simple thing to find?!? Yeah, another thing that makes absolutely no fucking sense.
And they’re already out in public with her. They all went to the mall with her and we’re touching her and being affectionate with her out in public. I mean, anybody could’ve been there also other students of the university that know them. They went to his own restaurant and we’re doing very publicly sexual things with her. Again, anybody could’ve seen them so it’s not like they were hiding her at all. In the six months contract, they even said they would be going out on dates with her, etc., etc.. So while out on those dates and out in the open, anyone could see them, other professors or other students. Yes I know that they weren’t aware of her being a student when they said all this or did all this, but still if they were so afraid that a scenario could happen like that did they shouldn’t have been so out in the open with an eight-year-old and could’ve asked her beforehand if she went to the school if it’s such a big no-no for them.
I honestly hate that the author ended it like that she completely ruined it for me. And that makes me so sad because her first book was a huge five star book for me. Even though I don’t share any of the kinks that are written in this book I could still really enjoy it . But the way they acted and reacted ruined them to me. It’s already hard to feel warm feelings towards them because they are pretty not so nice in their scenes. All we have to hold onto is how nice they are during aftercare. Especially Xavier because he basically just stands in a corner and doesn’t say anything, another weird thing that the author did. But they were kind to her and sweet and loving outside of scenes and that made me warm up to them a bit. But the way they acted and reacted to her when they found out that she was a student completely destroyed any type of warm feelings I had towards them.
And it ruined any feeling of authentic feelings from their end towards her for me.
I honestly don’t even feel like emery should give them a second chance at all. I feel like she should take her money and tell them to all fuck off. And I don’t feel like the author should make me feel that way, especially because she has another book coming . It doesn’t make me want to read it at all cause I don’t. I want them to fuck off now.
And Emery going after them now just makes her look fucking pathetic if I’m being honest. And nobody likes a pathetic FMC.
I’m also not looking forward to her possibly becoming a member of that sex club with them. I don’t want other people to be added into their sex if she again becomes a sub for them.
I don’t know man, in one fell swoop one of my favorite current series just got destroyed and I’m just left so sad right now. There’s no really coming back from this in my opinion and that makes me not really excited for the next book.

Okay, talking about waiting for the other shoe to drop. I did not expect that bomb to drop and blow everything up.

Is this book 93% spice and 7% percent plot? Hell yes, but I like my books that way when there done right. Plus the little plot that was included was perfect for this book.
I’m hoping in book 3 we get more insight into Emery’s + the guys past now that the weekend is over. Okay, well I’ll just be chewing down my finger nails until the next book releases…

Alright. I took my time getting to this review. because I need to do it justice.

This is hands down one of my favorite books I've ever read. Harley has done such an AMAZING job with the plot in this book that I absolutely devoured it. Which is saying something because 85% of this little treasure is pure SMUT. And the best kind of smut. She has done such an amazing job with this story, you feel like you're living in the book. And trust me... you want to be. I mean I pulled an all nighter to get to the last chapter. And I only stopped at the last chapter because I was under clear instructions to record myself reading the last chapter. I will give nothing away but believe me when I say it ends on a cliff hanger that will make you more desperate than an FMC being put through edging for the next book.
If you enjoyed the first book in the sugar life series (Sugar baby) then you will LOVE Good girl.
it's not very often I like the second book in the series more than the first... but in this case... GOOD GOD YESSSSS
You will need to have read Sugar baby before diving into this one.

I mean, when you’re reading a book that is basically complete smut just for smuts sake, 300+ pages is a bit much 🥱🥱🥱

After finishing and loving Sugar Baby, I knew I was 100% going to continue this series. I am so thankful to have been chosen as an ARC reader for Good Girl.
When I tell you this book will have you blushing and heating up....it's an understatement🥵
Good Girl follows up Emery's fiery night with the Daddies as she is given the opportunity to explore each daddy's kink of choice, with added bonus of twenty thousand dollars if she can make it through the weekend. Not only do we see Emery open up to these experiences, but we also see her history unravel. Showing us her vulnerabilities and watching as Derek, Hudson, Xavier and Darcy break down her barriers and show her something she's never had before...people who care.
I was honestly so impressed at the amount of detailed information that was given about each kink. You can tell that Harley did her research to make sure absolutely everything was accurate.
I'm already on the edge of my seat just waiting for Brat Baby to come out!

This was pretty close to a three for me. I want Xavier bad. I love my obsessive insane men. And I dig his kinks a lot ahaha. Anyways the reason this didn’t hit a 3 for me was still the lack of relationship between all the characters. I understand the circumstances of that but I also just need more. Also there was a lot of smut and some unique scenes which was cool but honestly the scenes were too short. I felt like the first one was better with how in depth they went. And I want more of Emmy’s past. I want to get her more. I honestly hate how it ended. Fuck them for how they were treating her the hell. I was also bummed how little I got of Xavier. I liked Derek in the first book but didn’t like him as much in this. Xavier has been my fav in both and then maybe I’ll give it to Darcy here for second place because of his attentiveness. Anyways this was a good fun time but still needs a lot of work. Anyways I’m obviously reading the next. If they make it so she chases them tho I’ll riot and vomit everywhere. Some of the smut here I will think about. If Xavier’s scene was longer and Derek’s was more in depth I think they’d make my best smut list

Holy cow, where do I even begin?! 🐄💥
Topping the absolute masterpiece that was Sugar Baby seemed like an impossible task, but book two said, "Hold my drink," and completely wrecked me. 🍷🔥 It’s 321 pages of absolute chef’s kiss perfection. 👩🍳💋
This book is so steamy, I’m honestly surprised my Kindle didn’t melt. 🔥📱 Each scene with those 4 dirty daddies had me clutching my pearls (and my sanity). New kinks? Oh, absolutely unlocked. 🗝️😏
And HUDSON? Don’t even get me started. That man is a whole problem. IYKYK. 🖤🙌
Then, just when I thought I could catch my breath, BOOM—that ending. HARLEY, ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?! 😱 I was not okay. Did i just Subdrop? Fall into Subspace? Try full emotional freefall. 🚨

Harley did it again 👏🏻
Sugar Baby was one of my favorite reads in 2024, so you can imagine my excitement when I got the opportunity to ARC read Good Girl!! I’m not sure any other book I read this year will come close to comparing to the masterpiece that is ‘Good Girl’. I adored the friendship Emmy shared with Oakley - the ultimate “we listen and we don’t judge” kind of friend. We all need one of those - especially Emmy. Each Daddy was so lovable in their own way - you couldn’t force me to pick a favorite! I’ll be re-reading this series to find some sort of enjoyment until the third book is released - I’ll try my best to be patient 🥺

This felt like true dom/sub relationship. From the thought they put into caring for her every need, to the give and take of their relationship, the trust, and the aftercare had me swooning for these men.

4.5⭐️ again, this was a fewer dream and I stayed up until 3:30pm to finish this book even though I had to get up at 7 🤦🏼♀️ but it was worth it!
just like the first book this is still (at least) 50% spice, but somehow it still works and there’s still a plotline. I love how the guys take care of her, since she has basically been alone her whole life and never had someone (let alone 4 hot guys) to take care of her 🥹
I didn’t really like a few of the guys’ k¡nks (spanking and knife/blood), but I stilled inhaled the book like oxygen after running a marathon😂😍
I was not ready for the cliffhanger so I got really sad when I realized the 3rd book doesn’t come out until december😭

Apart from all the spice, Harley's writing just sucks you in, and the complex layers with which she writes her characters has you hooked. I couldn't get enough.
Now I'm sat patiently waiting for Brat Baby. This book is going to have one of my all time favourite tropes and I cannot wait!!

Good Girl is the second book to Sugar Baby and if you devoured Sugar Baby like I did you gonna love Good Girl.
Where we only got a small taste of the daddies kinks in Sugar baby we get full on scenes in Good Girl 🥰🥰

Is this book like crack? Yes. Do I expect a lot out of books like this? Never.I disregard a lot with reads like this and ignore things that otherwise would be a deal breaker. We're here for a good time not a long time. BUT...
That ending made all the other things that would have otherwise bothered me a hard stop. I was kind of guessing that Darcy was a professor and the drama I was forseeing was gonna be 🤌. But ALL FOUR OF THEM? Nope. You're telling me that they are:
A. Making enough to bankroll this relationship on academic salaries? Nope.
B. They're gonna be SO BLINDSIDED and furious that an 18yo who is needing cash is a student at the local university? It didn't occur to them?
C. In which case them having a profile in the same area of the college with age ranges of college students IS THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY. The probability of them finding someone who met their requirements and isn't a student is next to nothing.
But mostly
D. The ethical problem they have that is strong enough to treat her like that after everything they'd said and done isn't believable if they don't also have an ethical issue with introducing an 18yo to this sort of relationship who is SO strapped for cash, ESPECIALLY after finding out she is fresh out of the foster system. Yes, power imbalance is an element of a BDSM relationship, but this is not that. That is the point that was hanging me up - how they were taken aback by her being an orphan but then breeze right on by. 👁️👄👁️
Which, if that's how we're going to roll, OK cool. But then to have that reaction to the breach of ethics of the university doesn't track. They are all most likely mandatory reporters and given her age, her previous sexual experience, and her state dependant status, there is an obvious assault and abuse history there.
All of that being said:was I pissed to discover the third one isn't out yet? Yes! 🤣 Like I said full of trashy, fluffy crack. But to end on such a cliffhanger AND for it to be a huge contradiction is a real bummer.

I feel like I need to give this book two reviews, one for the majority and a second for THAT ENDING.
Okay so chapters 1-42 AMAZING. So fucking hot. So much tension. Loved every bit, even the kinks I would never be into in real life. Looking at you Xaviar 👀 loved how the Daddies fell for Emmy and how she learnt to trust in them. Loved the spice that was top tier smut throughout. Loved the spoiling and aftercare. Honestly regretting my young adult life choices. If only I had realised then the choices available and how depraved I am.
Now onto chapter 43 *sigh* I say this coming from the best possible place. What the actual fuck? I knew a cliffhanger was coming as I had seen this in the advertising on book 3 but I thought it would be something to do with Trey. What actually happened made zero sense to me. How would the daddies not have screened for potential students? Why did they turn so quickly? How could they be so cruel and blame poor baby orphan Emmy for everything?? So not cool
Will I read the next book?
Obviously.
But will I throw a brat tantrum if the Daddies don’t make it up to my girl? Absofuckinglutely!

That cliffhanger?! Ugh, that was such a dick move of them, all I know is they better grovel. All four of them. I’m not sure if it was intentional or I just genuinely missed that they were professors? I thought they were business professionals/part sex club owners. They knew that she was 18, and isn’t Xavier good with computers, surely, this would have been discovered— I know they didn’t discuss much outside of their contractual relationship, but that and how they reacted, because she’s now a student at the college they work at, was abit of a let down for me.
I did feel a bit lost at times during some of the scenes they did. It was intense, and paired with whether it was a scene or if Emery was actually present. At one point, I think they used a sex doll, but I wasn’t entirely sure if it was Emery or not, especially since she was technically their plaything for the weekend.
Nonetheless, I had a good time, and I enjoyed it. I’m curious about what direction this will go in, now that this has taken on the forbidden romance/student/professor— professors, in this case.

One word - WOW! I read Sugar Baby a few months ago as my intro into this ‘darker’ romance world and fell in love and I didn’t know it could, but Good Girl exceeded all my expectations of a sequel to this story! 🖤
I loved that we had more story and background information relating to the characters in this book, learning about them all more as individuals and together gave a whole other side of feeling connected. The tension and the spice was of course top notch - taking care and time to detail each scene and give the feeling as though the reader was there 👀
The ending took me for a SHOCKING twist I did not expect and I’m even more excited for book three and to see where their story goes!! This is a piece of art and Harley has done an amazing job! 🖤

I thought this was better than book one, but then the ending brought it down for me. The way the men reacted was so out of character from what we've seen. The limited information we have for book 3 has me worried because why should Emery fight to get them back when they were cruel to her? Those men should be G R O V E L I N G and praying she gives them the time of day.
We'll see how it plays out in book 3. Maybe I'll be surprised, but for now I'm skeptical.
