Pittsburgh has been driven underground, and the city has been devastated, so when Anthony arrives with his friends and allies in tow on the angel express, they are all set to save it building by building however in order to do this they have to be prepared to meet new deadly enemies as well as some old ones who turn up once again. Anthony sets up the first guild and starts fighting to gain stats to make it the most formidable guild ever. Pustibule, the demon from Anthony's nightmares soon returns to the scene in search for him, the evil doctor is up to his old tricks but Anthony is prepared to face him and hopefully wipe him out for good this time around. Of course all this happens with the blessed help from Sara the angel, who is also a goddess, his patron and his girlfriend and the help of his friends the couple Jeff and Kayla, Jamie and Ashley and the new addditon to the group, the very strange siblings Bethany and Michael aka Mercury who are meant to be a strong duo whose input is needed in the upcoming battles and book 5 of the 100th run. Can Anthony and Co save as many people and cities as he wants before the final foe attacks?

I had forgotten how much I loved this edge-of-your-seat action-driven litRPG! Finding book 4 was available I snatched it up! And wow Flossindune didn't let me down! I loved it as Anthony picks up the baton and raced onto Pittsburgh, The Pitt! And with a solid plan he sets out to free the city's from the necrotic wasteland that it fell into! Literally fell as every building every household became an underground dungeon. Each and every dungeon needed to be freed from the necromantic calamity one at a time. And of course it pays dividends when you have the Angel Esaraphelscion (Sara) as your Patron God helping you in every way she's allowed! Yes, the game has rules... and even the Gods hafta follow 'em!
Soooooooo climb aboard the A-Train, follow the rules, and run with the book in hand!

A brilliant take on a difficult prompt

As a long time fantasy reader and aspiring writer I'm impressed when a writer takes a popular trope and manages to keep it interesting through all the predictable twists and turns. In this case, I'm specifically referring to the fact that foreknowledge tends to get boring quickly. Usually a character that knows the future tends to get what they want with only minor setbacks, even when events change to land outside of their experience. In this case, I'm not only fully engaged, but I'm loving the character development and world building that has accompanied a series of twists and turns in the plot. I'm still not bored and I'm excited for book 5!

Another solid entry. I enjoyed the plot of this book. Some cool advancements occurred. I wish we could have got some more resolution with Greg but I feel like that moment will come. We are left with a cliffhanger but it mainly led to what will happen in the next book. The plot of this book was largely completed.

Playing Pittsburgh

Well, I never thought Pittsburgh could be so exciting. A lot of interesting things this time around. Upgrade the train, gather more crew, start a guild. Plenty of interesting happenings. Good reading.

I really enjoyed this, but I find Anthony just a smidge too obnoxious.

Interesting

Great addition to the saga. Great achievements and great losses. It humanizes our regressor hero Anthony Franklin a lot, and he grows in maturity.
