She fell from the stars. He’s the predator who claimed her.
CYPHER Earth is a memory of fire and ash. When my abduction ship spirals out of orbit and crashes onto the prehistoric surface of Ixoria, I expect to die in the wreckage. Instead, I’m pulled from the flames by something that shouldn’t exist.
He’s massive, gray-skinned, and dangerous. He has the fangs of a hunter and the eyes of a king. I don’t speak his language, and I don’t know his world, but every time he touches me, my body betrays my fear with a heat I can't control. He calls me his mate—and on this planet, that's a bond you don't break.
AXIOM My people are fading. For generations, a curse has left our nurseries silent and our warriors without hope. As Chief, I was prepared to lead my tribe into extinction—until the sky broke open.
Cypher is unlike any female I have ever seen. Fragile, pale, and smelling of summer rain, she is the miracle my dusa has screamed for. My instincts demand I protect her from the lethal jungles of Ixoria. My heart demands I claim her.
But the jungle is full of nightmares, and my people are desperate. To keep her, I must fight monsters, defy ancient laws, and prove to this star-girl that she isn’t just a survivor—she is mine.
One crash. Two worlds. A bond that could save a race... or destroy it.
It seems as If dying alien races and a human savior are becoming the trending alien romance these days. Cypher is a human female abducted from Earth that crash lands on an alien planet. Axiom is a clan chief whose tribe is dying, little food and only two females left. He recognizes that Cypher is his mate but there is a little language problem and a planet full of prehistoric predators to survive. I enjoyed the book and the romance as well as the world building. I hope there is another book coming because what the heck happened to Russe?
I liked the storyline. I love it when there is a language barrier and a primitive world. And how characters have to work through that complication. I enjoyed the book, but did end up wanting more to the story. There are some things left kinda unknown (not a cliffhanger), so I hope there is a second one that continues those!.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
my biggest criticism was that I think the multiple narrative didn't help the story at all. for me, it actually took me out of it. The "alien" spoke very "human woman." I couldn't buy them yelling "dick!" or "asshole!" very much and didn't give alien.
Nothing stands out as far as tropes but I liked that here. Sometimes I just want a human who's crash landed on an alien planet and has to overcome surviving, language barriers and space dinosaurs.
As for alien romances, it was good and I would recommend reading it if you like alien romances. I would say it was endearing and I plan to read the rest of the series
Reading this you wonder if the female is gonna survive the first few pages. All through out the story it is one close to death event after another. This story has very detailed descriptions throughout. I like the character she did not completely freak out when she found herself situations. But she did seem a little naive but she grew a lot in this story. The story does stop. But I am guessing each book continues the main story. I like the male character- he has been made the leader but he is still not sure if he should be. You see as the moves forward he very much is a leader. This plant has so many huge predators that it is a wonder anyone has survived. An interesting read.
