Seth’s heart is as cold and stony as the mountain he calls home. Can his old flame Aiden thaw it, or will it be the storm of the century?
It’s always five o’clock somewhere.
Aiden Doyle is the life of every party, a small-town wild card with reckless charm. But he was once just a troubled, directionless kid with a dead-end future.
Until Seth.
The older boy was everything to Aiden—a tough, steely-eyed cowboy who took Aiden under his wing. He shielded Aiden from the world and gave him a place to belong. But when a tragic accident shattered their bond, Seth retreated into the unforgiving Oregon mountains, leaving a gaping wound in Aiden’s heart that no amount of partying could heal.
Years later, a mysterious hermit saves Aiden’s life and vanishes without a word. But Aiden knows who he is—the same man who once meant everything to him. Aiden is determined to bring his lone wolf back to civilization, even if it means confronting the dark secrets Seth has buried deep inside his barbed wire heart.
Seth isn’t interested in earning the forgiveness of a town that betrayed him, but Aiden’s return forces them both to confront old wounds. As passion explodes and hidden truths unravel, the bond between them will either be reforged in fire—or broken beyond repair.

Good lawd this one got angsty and there were times I wasn't sure it was ever going to right itself.
Thankfully, though, things all come together in the end and we're given yet another solid entry in this series of Sweetwater set romances.
Seth I fell for hard, even after his stubborn nature and inability to give up trying to control every facet of his life became an obstacle to his own happiness.
Aiden, though, I wanted to shake a lot of the time, but the way he behaves is so much a product of his mother's awfully manipulative actions that I understood it completely.
There's so much history between them that the connection sparks back straight away when they cross paths with a decade of heartache to deal with.
No spoilers but this plot twist, while I didn't see it coming, actually makes so much sense once you discover more.
They work super hard to make their lives as complicated as possible but this isn't a simple case of miscommunication, there's so many more layers behind it.
I'm not sure if this is the last entry in this series but I hope not, I think I'd definitely like to see more of this pair's HEA going on in the background.
When I started reading MM romance books and I discovered the joy of reading ARC's and write a review, for a while that was the most important way for me to discover new books and authors. Now we're here, several years later, and I hardly request ARC's. Because I also discovered that with the joy, came the pressure to write reviews on time, came the pressure to read books I didn't feel a connection with or didn't enjoy. And so I cut down on reading ARC's drastically and only request them when I'm pretty sure I will enjoy them, or when I already planned on reading the book anyway. This was a dubious case. The Down Home series has always been a series I loved very much, I still have joyful memories of the first 2 books and they are a regular re-read. The books that followed were good, but never provided the pleasure I experienced when reading the first 2 books in this series. The book before this one, Throw Down was quite disappointing, but the blurb for this (last?) book in this series sounded too good to pass on, and so I was hopeful to find another book in this series I would enjoy and love as much as the first books. But unfortunately that didn't happen.
I have a huge weakness for second chance romance. I love everything about it. As in the rest of this series, this story is also about second chances. Not just romantically, but also on other levels. It's about forgiveness and finding self worth, about being enough as you are, and past mistakes should stay there: in the past. Which all fits so perfectly into what I want from my romance reads. And still...At first I really felt myself invested, I wanted to see where this story would take me, what Seth's and Aiden's past was really about, how they would get over themselves and find each other again. But then I just couldn't find any connection to Aiden, nor to Seth. And I couldn't feel their connection either. So what is it that happened with this author's writing that it doesn't have the magic that the first 2 books seem to have? The writing is still good, so maybe it's the characters that don't speak to me? I still haven't found the answer to that. But I just couldn't rate this any higher than 3 stars, and I'm really sorry for that too. I had hoped to find the enjoyment from the first books just once again, but maybe it was against better judgement?
I kindly received an ARC from GRR and this is my own, honest opinion
Aiden absolutely broke my heart 😭 the way he's hiding so much pain and dealing with so much...I wanted to be able to give him a hug so badly.
Seth was such a strong character. He protects who he loves, but sometimes he goes too far and the repercussions of some of his decisions.... let's just pretend I wasn't full on snotty crying when Aiden found out what he'd sacrificed for him 😭😭😭
These two had a well earned HEA after over a decade of estrangement. Both took on a martyr role and even though I usually hate that characteristic with a passion, it really worked for their situation and it felt entirely believable.
I don't know how Aiden had the patience to deal with his mother because there's not a chance in hell I'd have maintained any kind of relationship with her if I was in his shoes!
My only reason for not rating this a 5 is that it took me until about the 55% mark to really feel that emotional connection to the characters, but after that point it was everything I love about feeling a character's emotions. It was written in third person POV so to get me that emotional when there's already a degree of separation from the characters insights, then it's definitely a good story.
I'm kinda sad to be leaving Sweetwater, I've gotten attached to these cowboys!
***** I received an ARC of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review
Loved the firsts in this series but the latest ones haven't been as good. Didn't know what to except of this one which is Aidens and Seths book. It's kind of a second chance romance and there's a lot of history and angst due to an event happening ten years ago. After that they haven't seen each other. I seem to have picked books with awful mothers lately cause here comes another one. I'm rating this one 2.5 stars rounding up ⭐⭐⭐
"There's a million reasons and no reason at all," Seth said quietly. "Some things just… are. I was born to love you. It's as simple as that."
I think this book was the best written so far in this series. I never imagined Aiden would get such a good story.
4 - 4.25⭐ and I'm hoping the Sweetwater couples keep on coming. I'm not ready to leave yet. It's probably the last book in the series with my luck, but still.
🟢 Small town cowboy romance 🟡 Best friends to lovers, but with a fat decade long pause 🟣 Both bisexual 🔵 First love 🟠 Age gap - 3-4 years 17/20-21 to 29/32-33 🌶️ Good smut, descriptive scenes, oral, penetrative; t/b
I'm glad the author is sticking to that double POV - the books are now so much better with it. The writing has evolved, the stories are getting better and better.
I think the sole focus on Seth and Aiden's story with history being told worked fantastically and there was just the right amount of smut combined with fun and more serious issues, so overall I have no objections, this story was really good.
Seth and Aiden were coincidental high school friends with Aiden always being a goofy, flirty kid from an unhappy single parent household and Seth the son of a well renowned local rancher. Aiden found his home at the Double Jay ranch, but that was quickly taken away from him.
They had a solid friendship but Seth fell in love with Aiden and with the tragedy that followed the year Aiden moved in with Seth's family, things completely fell apart and they were strangers for more than a decade. In all that time Seth has become a recluse, his ranch was falling apart and after all that time Aiden was still the guy he loved.
Aiden and Seth cross each other's paths again when Aiden falls into a frozen lake and Seth saves his life.
"He barely recognized the wary, closed- off man Seth had become, but he had to believe that beneath his thorny exterior, the same gentle, self- assured man still existed. The one who had encouraged Aiden and stood by him through thick and thin. The man who, even now, cared enough to risk his own life pulling Aiden out of that frozen lake. Friendship with a man like that was worth fighting for."
Aiden tries to build a friendship again but Seth has been lonely and alone for too long, so it takes a while to thaw that man out and when he does, Seth and Aiden just fall into each other, no questions asked. I liked how there were no big talks or events that would lead up to it, they just kissed and picked up where they left off years ago.
Both bisexual and with a lot of hidden desire for each other on both sides they started hooking up but with a very serious note this time - Seth wanted Aiden but Aiden was still too much of a screw up and needed Seth's love and devotion to ground him.
The ending was funny and romantic and again I liked how there were no big talks of engagement, wedding or kids, but only Seth finally bringing Aiden back home to his ranch.
Yes, more smut would've been perfect, but the love story was so good that I wasn't really missing anything in the end. It was quite emotional, sexy and fun and the book pulled me in, I enjoyed reading it.
This was maybe my favorite of the whole series? Or at least on par with the first two books, for sure.
What's been kind of missing from the last three books, wasn't missing in this one. I absolutely loved it.
Aiden and Seth captured my attention from the very beginning and they never lost it. I was hooked from the get go.
Their story and their chemistry was off the charts good. They just clicked from the first moment they were on the page together and I couldn't get enough of them.
The story was so interesting too - we learn more about Aiden than we ever had before in this series. He is more bisexual with more of a preference for women in general, but he's kind of fooled around with guys in the past. And he and Seth used to be friends, best friends, when they were teenagers.
Seth was the older - 17 - cool kid to Aiden's - 14 - sunshine-y, outgoing personality. They clicked from the first time Seth pulled over to offer him a ride.
But things happened in the past, things that led to Seth pulling away and Aiden, who actually had a hard time with his self-esteem thanks to his mother, thought he wasn't wanted or loved by Seth, and so they spent the last 10 or so years avoiding each other, basically.
But when Aiden is trying to save a baby elk calf in a frozen pond and gets pulled under himself, Seth, who had come up to where Aiden was to ice fish, was there to see Aiden fall in and save him. If Seth hadn't decided to go ice fishing that day, Aiden would have died, most definitely.
Things are strained between them, but Aiden isn't backing away this time, and he's determined to get their friendship back, which they both eventually think shouldn't have been lost in the first place.
Also with Aiden, he only has his mother as a blood relative, and she's a real piece of work. You want him to say "fuck you" to his mother and turn away from her and her awfulness for good, but...she's his mother and she's very good at manipulating him and his good heart by making him feel bad that she had to raise him and "sacrifice" for him. But we all know that sometimes it can be very hard to cut a parent out of your life, so I tried to be more understanding even when I wanted to slap his mom countless times. She's awful.
Aiden has a hard time, because of his mother, believing he's lovable, and that's he's worthy of someone's love or deserves their love. But they're adults now, not young adults, barely adults, and Seth knows better now. He's learned from his mistake and once he has Aiden, he's not letting him go, even when Aiden makes it hard AF to hold onto him. But understandably.
I won't give too much away because it was interesting finding it out for myself, so I'll let you guys find it out for yourself too. I will say I wasn't actually suspecting it at first, so it was a surprise to me.
My only reason for .25 stars off, just a small portion of a star, is because...these two had AMAZING chemistry and the sex we did get was off the charts good. But we didn't get as much as I would have liked. I think we only get one full on penetrative sex scene (which was hot AF, of course, but still) and a blow job scene.
They were amazing sex scenes, but for how explosive these two were together, how amazing their chemistry was, not only did I expect more, but these two deserved more. Seriously, we should have gotten at least a few good sex scenes between them, because they were fire together. Loved what we got, we just didn't get enough of that to satisfy me. When I love a couple, I'm greedy for all the sex scenes, so only getting one penetrative sex scenes and one blowjob scene just wasn't enough for me. (I think the author did this in the previous book too now that I think about it.)
Butttt, other than that small niggle, I absolutely adored the rest of this. The romance was amazing, the characters were amazing, the plot was great, and the sex we did get was amazing.
I'm just so happy that we get to end on such a high note for this series - I think it's the end, because there was no mention of another in this series and the author mentioned a new book in a new series coming at the end of this book instead, which leads me to believe this is the end of the road for this series - because the last few hadn't been up to par with what I know this author can give us.
Just, highly recommend, both thumbs up from me for sure, and I can't wait for this author's new series and to read about some more couples falling in love! 😍
I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.
This wasn’t perfect but I enjoyed it all the same. Aiden and Seth had a lot of history and chemistry, their story was pretty good. I would have liked a little more input from Aiden’s friends from previous books, they kind of abandoned him and I wanted to see more interactions with them rather than just “so and so got married” updates. Could have done without so much time spent on the sister’s storyline.
I thought the choices the author made with the 1 x main sex scene here was odd. It didn’t seem to match with the rest of the story or the characters personalities. I thought maybe she wanted something different to the other books. I appreciate not just reading the same sex scenes recycled, but I’m not sure this front seat of truck, no lube, no prep, kind of forced, painful sounding then hands free orgasm worked, particularly for a first time. But hey what do I know? maybe that’s a thing 🤷🏻♀️
I think the characters felt a bit floppy and inconsistent in their personalities, whereas the mum was like a cartoon villain of a manipulative mother, it was pretty unbearable, I would loved some more subtlety here.
Pleasantly surprised to get Aiden’s story considering in the last book he was written as a straight character and said he “doesn’t swing that way”. I’m to open accepting inconsistencies between books but Aiden went from straight to “always been sexually fluid”, so maybe a bi awakening would have felt more believable.
Decided to go with 4 stars because I enjoyed reading this and it flowed easily but I think it could have been great with some more work.
This series started off excellent but with each book some of the shine wore off. This is the last (maybe) installment and it features Aiden, who is the cowboy who is always joking around, and Seth, who we learn was a huge part of Aiden’s life until he cut Aiden off.
I loved getting to know Aiden better and seeing that there was so much more to him than someone who only joked and partied. He is a caring person who thinks he has nothing more to give than what everyone sees on the surface. He falls through the ice trying to rescue a calf up in the mountains and he is rescued by his one time best friend Seth. He hasn’t talked to Seth in almost a decade after a tragedy happened to the animals at Seth’s ranch, an incident where Seth was at fault and it caused the ranch to fall apart and Seth’s father into an early grace. Since then Seth has stayed away from everyone.
Aiden decides enough is enough and Seth was the most important person in his life. He wants Seth back and he sets about doing that.
Seth has many regrets and he takes everyone else’s problems on. He has loved Aiden since he first offered him a ride when Aiden was a teenager. He rescued Aiden after his mom kicked him out and after a night of drinking, one where Seth kissed a very drunk Aiden, a night that ended with the fall of the ranch, Seth takes all responsibility and pushes Aiden, and everyone in town, away.
Seth and Aiden were really great together and once Seth lets Aiden help him at his ranch they both decide to act on their feelings. Aiden described himself in previous books as “not swinging that way” so to learn that he is sexually fluid in this book was a bit of a surprise. He doesn’t fool around with men often but I think the author forgot that she had previously given Aiden an entirely different sexual identity. There is much more to it than that in the real world but I looked at the last book and sure enough Aiden says to Briar that he does not swing that way. It was a small detail but I noticed it. Aiden doesn’t have any issues with being with a man so he never hid it so I wonder if the author knew he would be a getting a book or decided after the last book was written.
I thought the one sex scene was very disappointing. It was almost forced, Seth tells Aiden he can handle it after Aiden says he can’t. Seth keeps on him though and Aiden’s first time having anal sex is in the back of a truck with no lube or prep. This wasn’t the way I expected them to have their first time, especially after the pining and years of history between them. After that scene there are no more truly intimate scenes besides one blow job in the kitchen. I wanted more. We are teased about more but that intimacy was pushed aside for other things. Like Seth overreacting to his grown sister having a boyfriend.
The last part of the book was dramatic and I was almost close to skimming it. It just started to fall apart. I felt like the story was almost there but just out of reach with what I was hoping for. It’s good that this is the last book because by this point it’s lost its shine. If another story is written hopefully it’ll feel fresh and new.
Sometimes I don’t know why I even bother putting books on my currently-reading shelf when I’ll be finishing them in one sitting anyway without posting any updates 🤷♀️
This was awesome btw. Aiden deserves the world.
----------------------------------
Ever since the mud scene in the previous book, I was hoping Aiden would get his own story, and here it is 👀
First book in 2026!! I accidentally skipped book #5 🤷🏻♀️
I liked this one better then #4 but maybe the whole cowboy/ country vibes are slowly loosing their appeal. The whole situation around Aiden (his mother!! The big misunderstanding and sacrifices) seemed a little too constructed.
I will read #4 at some point but need a break from cowboys right now.
"You'll never be too much. You aren't too loud. You aren't too needy. You're allowed to take up space exactly the way you are."
Ok stop this was so cute! And I’m just supposed to accept this is the last book in the series????? Be serious I need 100k more of each couple immediately!!
Aiden and Seth were perfect. Actual soulmates! I think the fact that this book was also dual pov really worked for Aiden and Seth because they’re both so different but sort of experiencing the same thing and it was interesting to see how each of them perceived different moments in their history.
My heart broke for Aiden when the secret came out I did not see that coming at all despite it actually be foreshadowed a few different times throughout the book. I loved Aiden’s entire personality, he’s the kind of guy that will embarrass himself to make others feel better and make them laugh.
I loved how Seth saw through Aiden’s “always happy” front and allowed for Aiden to take a break and feel and just be himself. Seth is such a caretaker, I think the heart to heart he has with Tessa was so important because he had taken protectiveness to a level that was getting to be too much. He needed to learn that he can be there for the people he loves while they make mistakes instead of preventing them from ever making a mistake.
Aiden and Seth making a life together was domestic bliss. Seth remodeling the farm to include Aiden when Aiden’s never felt like anywhere was home??? Please. I cry. I loved how Seth stood up to Aiden’s mother but also respected that Aiden did want a relationship with her so he tried to make it work in a way that Aiden didn’t get steamrolled.
(2.5/5) It pains me a bit to rate this book so low. But there's no way to be more lenient. The story just didn't work for me.
There was so much potential for a great and emotional story. Both Aidan and Seth have made mistakes in the past, and both have dealt and are dealing with a lot of crap. I wish the author had taken more time to give the characters a chance to deal with their pain.
But to be honest, I didn't care much for Seth. He wasn't for me. Aidan, on the other hand, was exactly as he should have been. I just wished that he in particular had had more opportunities to let out all his feelings in order to process them properly.
The way the story unfolded just simply didn't satisfy me. I really can't give it a better rating.
PSJ wrote her typical wild one plus strong quiet steady one. Except this time, the drama made me kinda pissed. See my update notes below. I wish it went differently. I wish Aiden realized he needed to grow up and made something of himself before coming back, stood up to his mother, got his own freaking horse back.
But Seth still fought all his battles, still did everything to bring him back before he could “punish” himself more. Saved him essentially from himself.
Pissed me off. Seemed like ZERO character development.\
Plus there was barely any sex. And the lack of even SOME convo about safe sex before or after jumping into the first full on sex scene was really unreal. ESP. Since it’s clear to everyone Aiden sleeps around.
4 stars Finally Aiden's book, I loved him since he appeared in come of the Triple M ranch scenes and I was waiting for his story. Aiden is the sunshine guy, the one with big smiles, great look and quick banter, the charming man who bewitches everyone and takes nothing seriously. But he's also the man who lives in a trailer park, who's been emotionally abused by his own mother and who feels all alone in the world. Aiden's story is heartbreaking and it's tightly tied to Seth's story. They met when Aiden was just a boy, walking miles to go to his job, while Seth was already a cowboy helping his father with their ranch. Aiden and Seth develops a deep friendship, they have each other's back and David, Seth's father, soon becomes the only father's figure Aiden's ever had. The McCall ranch becomes his home too.
But something happen the night Aiden turned 18: his mom kicks him out of the house and Seth, as usual, comes to his rescue; they got drunk, Seth does a terrible mistakes and, a while later, David is forced to declare bankruptcy. Seth pushes Aiden away and they don't talk to one another for a long time.
Ten years later, Aiden is the same messed up guy and Seth has isolated himself: they reconnect after an incident and start spending time togther again.
Seth and Aiden's story broke my heart: there are so many mistakes, bad decision, miscommunication, obstinance between them and even if the motivations for their estrangement are clear and understandable, it's impossible not to feel sad for the wasted time and the missed opportunities for them to be together. Their reconnection is slow, difficult and emotional and their first time together, even if very rough, is still moving, beautiful and very intimate. Unexpectedly, I liked very much the third time break up, it was necessary to the story and it suited the storyline very well.
What prevented me from giving a higher rate: Aiden loves his mom, nothing wrong here; even if she emotionally and finacially abused him for years (he's forced to live in a trailer because, despite having a good job, he has to pay his mother's constant demands) he still loves her. What I didn't like is that she never stopped doing that, she gets away with that behaviour until the end and Aiden never stands up to her, the toxic and abusive way she uses to manipulate her son is almost excused because "she loves her son in her own way". Her involvement in the story almost pushed me to DNF the book, but I'm very glad I tried to block her out of my mind to keep reading this beautiful love story.
I'm very sad this series ended: in my opinion it was one of the best cowboy series in the MM romance world.
Highly recommended.
I received an ARC of this book from Gay Romance Reviews and this is my honest review.
I love this author's work and writing style but I am so not in the mood for cowboy romance after reading romantic fantasy. The book is nice but I need more these days. I hope to continue this story when I want to know how it ends.
This angsty cowboy tale delivers a gritty and emotional journey between two cowboys who love one another, but have been separated by their past. Seth has become a hardened loner, and is haunted by a tragic event that has shaped his present. His internal struggle is written so well by the author, as he clearly grapples with his demons. Aiden, on the surface, appears happy go lucky, and is very well liked. However, he too suffers from internal demons, even though he keeps them well hidden. As the two reconnect, it's obvious that they both still have feelings for the other. Of course, the path to true love isn't straightforward, but the guys are willing to fight for their HEA. I do enjoy Parker St John's books, his descriptions of the landscape and the characters' struggles totally draws the reader in. The plot is filled with twists and turns, my heart broke for both Aiden and Seth. Parker writes dark and brooding so well, but skillfully guides his characters through his stories, offering moments of hope and redemption. If you're looking for a raw and unflinching story between two heart broken men, who have to fight for a second chance, you'll enjoy this.
To the shock of absolutely nobody, I am head over heels in love with this book. Parker St. John writes in a way that just does it for me. Heavy on the hurt, heavy on the comfort, heavy on real people going through real things and behaving like real people--imperfect, not always logical, and emotional. We were introduced to Aiden a few books ago, and I am so happy that we finally got to hear his story. Most books in this series come with a heavy backstory, but this one has a particularly emotional backstory (warning for animal death, abusive parental relationships, parent death). You don't have to read everything else in the series to read this book, but if you have read them you get to visit with lots of other characters. I am going to come back and write more later, but this was such a beautiful end to the series. I am going to miss this series so, so much! err, who am I kidding, I'll probably keep rereading it once a year :)
Friends from childhood, make the leap… Aiden, tight, lean muscles cowboy, love his horse and has always loved Seth. He has a wild nature, his Mom belittles him constantly. Seth, big, strong older rancher, a bear, loves Aiden, but push d him away for a reason.
Aiden was trying to save he young Elk, but the he ice cracked…. this leads us into our story of emotions, lies, secrets, and we find out who believes the rumors in this small town.
Seth has been snubbed, so he basically stay on his ranch like a hermit, but also has his sis, Tessa. We see our old friends regain that closeness.
There are sections of happiness, and times of struggles, as we begin to understand the situation. We also learn more about the townsfolk and families. We like our two men, see their super hot sexy times.
The ending is intense and revealing, with an epilogue that is our HEA !
This one started out strong. I liked the beginning and being introduced to the characters but as it went on I just didn't feel particularly invested in either character. It didn't help that neither of them had a ton of growth. I also have issue with an entire town turning it's back on a teen when his dad dies, and the fact that the town nor Aiden's mom didn't got any satisfying justice. It creeped me out too that both Aiden and Seth both describe the little sister as "voluptuous" multiple times. There were just random things that stuck out to me, and in addition to the book being long and slow I just didn't vibe. Still in the 3 star range because when it started I did like it, and I like the cameos of all the previous couples. But I'm glad to be done with this series, it didn't exactly work for me.
Read if you like: • small town romance • second chance • friends to lovers
This is a second chance romance featuring cowboys with a very complicated past. I'd say this is a friends to strangers to friends to lovers story. It's very, and I mean VERY angsty and sometimes dramatic.
I really like this series, I love cowboy romances and I absolutely love Parker St. John's writing style. I like both MCs, even though they are sometimes hard to understand, close minded and do not communicate properly. It is obvious they care for each other, it is visible in their every action.
The story is well written, quite fast paced and very enjoyable. Up to around 80% I thought it would be a solid 5 star read but then it turned a little bit too sappy for me. The transition from strangers to friends and lovers was much too fast but Aiden and Seth had past, had known each other for years so it was understandable, but then miscommunication and a very low self esteem almost ruined everything.
All in all, I like the story and definitely liked the way it made me feel like I was right there, in Sweetwater😍
* I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review. *
This story has a dual awakening, second chances, and features the best and worse of small town living. Seth grew up as one of the best cowboys in town and stands to inherit one of the best ranches in the area. He takes Aiden under his wing and the two bond as he teaches Aiden how to work a ranch. The two of them are best friends until a drunken mistake drives Seth's family ranch into bankruptcy and his father suffers a fatal heart attack. Seth becomes a hermit and Aiden is trapped as a party boy in a toxic relationship with his mother until they are forced back together. I loved the build up and mild angst in this story. I am new to this series and I am eager to go back and read more.
I can’t believe the series is over! I binge-read the whole thing and now that it’s done, I feel a little lost, like I’m saying goodbye to something that became part of me. I’m going to miss it so much!
Seth and Aiden are so intense and dramatic, they delivered an epic love story. They’re adorable together, the “you jump, I jump” kind of couple. It’s all or nothing with them, no matter what.
I absolutely loved them! They made me laugh, ache, hope, swoon. I was never bored for even a second, they owned every moment.
This was the perfect finale to a series that completely stole my heart. I loved every single book and they’re going straight to my reread list.
This is your vibe if you like Cowboys Small town vibes Second Chance
I’m such a sucker for Parker’s Down Home world and I absolutely did a happy squee when I saw the update this book was dropping.
Loved being able to dive back into this world. It’s the binge read devour kind like the rest in the series. I really enjoyed how each book while in the same small town world all have a different vibe. This book did not disappoint, I’m only sad the series has ended!
This was such a good emotional read. It takes a bit to really connect to them but there’s so much to learn and see that you get there. And when you to have your tissues ready. I read this one first and was trying to finish the others before going through this one again but ran out of time. I highly recommend the whole series. There is such a realism to them that the characters stay in your heart. I’m so thankful I got a review copy to this book from GRR. I might not have found the series and that would have been a true loss.
4.5, another great addition to the series! I found both Aiden and Seth’s journeys very moving. Lots of great character development and their second-chance romance was lovely. Half point off for a meh moment near the end and a little too much villainous mustache twirling by Aiden’s mother.
A good story, nice m/m romance with cowboys working on a ranch. They have been friends for years but a tragedy tries to break them apart. There are a few breakups, but of course it ends well. Nothing really daring or outstanding, just a good read.
4.5 stars. The entire series is angsty but this one was a bit more character-driven than the others and left me with a surprising amount of heartache. Especially the scenes with Bandit
4,5 stars ⭐️ It’s hard to top the previous book which is still my favorite. But this one definitely came close!! I wish Parker St. John would never stop with this series. 😩🩵
Man, this book brought out the waterworks. Seth and Aiden have really been through it. In a way, they're both their own worst enemy. I especially feel for Aiden with his internal struggle with self worth and how he hides behind a smile and being the life of the party. This is a second chance, ex-best friends, small town, cowboy romance. It's probably best to read the books that came before in the series, but it's not absolutely necessary. It's a great series so you won't regret it!
I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews and this is my honest review.
