A new restaurant has just opened in the town of Gardener's Grove, offering all kinds of fun games and tasty food. The most popular item on the menu is a drink called the Slug Slushy. It's a big hit with everyone!
Everyone except for Cameron. He's terrified of slugs!
His brother, Owen, is always teasing him about it, but Cameron isn't going to let his fear win. He's going to see what this place is all about.
After all, there's no way the Slug Slushy actually has slugs in it... is there?
Stay up late with FRIGHT LIGHTS: light reading for dark nights!
Pretty quick read for adults but absolutely enjoyable for middle-school aged children. You know exactly what kind of writing you’re in for - young adult horror.
I read this first to see if it would be a good book to recommend to Friends and Family for their kids. While I didn't really read a lot of books like this as a kid (it was more my brother's thing), it still felt very nostalgic. Every suspenseful chapter ending, I could almost see the fade to black followed by a commercial break.
I'll definitely pick up a few copies for the younger folk in my life, and I'm honestly looking forward to reading whatever the author might come out with next.
