I have to make a choice between two crucial parts of my identity. Which do I embrace, and which do I ignore?
When I crash into Tabitha at a market, I know my boyfriend Dex and me have to have her in our lives. But Tabitha is a one-man woman, and Dex wants to close off our open relationship, so it’s an uphill battle convincing them to have a triad. And when I try to share my lovers with my Jamaican British family, they reject us. I’m done trying to negotiate all these parts of myself—my family, my sexuality, my culture, and my profession. Something’s gotta give.
I need to stand by my convictions, however much they go against the grain.
I’m smitten with two men I met in the same week—one an untouchable god who made me drop down and worship at his feet, the other an irresistible rogue with a direct line to my heat. The only problem? They’re together, and I don’t do threesomes. But as fate keeps throwing me in their path, I begin to wonder if I need to make some changes. Maybe if I put aside my fear of disappointing people and stop trying to accommodate myself to others, something wonderful will happen.
This is the way things go with us. You either worship at my altar or run now.
As an impregnable fortress, I never doubt myself. I carefully guard my only remaining family—my grandfather and my boyfriend Shawn—I resist the charms of women, and in all sexual encounters I remain on top. Then Shawn and I invite Tabitha in for one life-altering night, and I start questioning my definition of family, my sexuality, and my view of love. If I make myself vulnerable, accessible, touchable, will I lose what I hold dear, or will I find something even more precious?
This spicy dark romance with BDSM elements captures three points of view and explores the power of found family to effect radical transformations. It is number five in the Senses Series.
Formerly an academic, I took up writing romance recently and quite by accident. In early 2022 the right elements conjoined—my love of villains, my taste for high comedy, and my pull towards strong women. Now I can’t stop cooking up plots and drawing new characters. Though I write mostly dark romance, I invariably weave plenty of reality into the fantasy. My preference for lone wolves, quirky characters, and intense plot results in what my reader and author friends call romance with teeth. I live in Berkeley, California with my dachshund-Chihuahua, Pooh-bah. When I’m not writing, I love traveling, cooking, playing piano, and cycling in the nearby hills.

“The Touch of Wickedness” is the fifth installment in the “The Senses Series.” This spicy dark romance with BDSM elements captures three points of view and explores the power of found family to affect radical transformations. Dexter and Shawn are both committed to each other in a gay BDSM long term relationship for many years. Enter Tabitha - they have both met her individually and together. They are also both attracted to her but on different levels. Shawn is attracted to Tabitha and wants her in, Dex is a little bit more reserved about it, but they decide to trial being a “throuple” in both publicly and privately.
Fifteen minutes later I’m waiting at the bar perusing the new drinks menu when two strong arms circle my waist from behind. I twist to meet Shawn’s pillowy, firm lips and wrap my fingers around the nape of his neck, pulling him closer. Our tongues tangle and caress one another in a sultry, familiar kiss. The spearmint gum he chews when working overlays his natural taste of wine. His uniquely-Shawn scent of sunbaked brick makes me lightheaded, and the contented purrs he emits as my tongue strokes him stir my ….
Prepare for a story full of twists, turns around every corner, forbidden love, loyalty and betrayal, power and control and sizzling heat. This is a story you won't be able to put down - you will be totally hooked! The story is very fast paced and full of twists and turns! You have danger, betrayal, love, tears, death, power, action and passion. The heat between Dexter, Shawn and Tabitha is off the page. There is never a dull moment! This book is everything you expect from an erotic BDSM romance - you will be hooked!
You cannot fall in love Dexter, Shawn and Tabitha. Will this unique relationship work? If not, how will they all feel? You will have your fingers crossed 🤞 especially with so many twists and turns! A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊
“Six weeks ago if you’d suggested I couldn’t live without a woman, I’d have laughed in your face. This last week has proven my nymph is as necessary to me as oxygen.”
What happens if you add a third person to an already solid relationship? Well, in this case, fireworks!
Dex and Shawn are already a solid and happy couple, and then Tabitha comes along and falls for both men. I loved the dynamics between Dex, Shawn and Tabitha. I seem to enjoy these fictional relationships that are somewhat controversial. Kathleen Haley certainly doesn’t write any boring couples, there is always something extra about them.
I really enjoyed the story too, because it’s not just romance and the struggles of forming a trouple, there’s so much more. There is trafficking, mostly children (being a mom myself, I felt this one hard), and the struggles of being accepted in a society that’s not always welcoming towards people that are slightly different from what they feel is the norm. I’m not going to call straight people and male/female couples the norm, because I firmly believe that we all create our own norm. I think humanity can learn to be a bit more tolerant in general, and this story sure broadcasts this very well. 💜
Great job on this one Kathleen, I’m ready for your next book! 😘
I’ve quickly become a fan of books by Kathleen ever since I picked up the first one and this was no different. I loved so many things about this one from the poly relationship, past characters from previous books, the openness, the history of other places, being so in depth about everything. I was so hooked from the beginning and couldn’t set it down. I can’t wait to see what’s next here
The Touch of Wickedness is my new favorite book by Kathleen Haley! The throuple relationship built between Dex, Shawn, and Tabitha was just too sweet but also extremely titillating. Getting to see inside all of their heads through the multi-POV added so much intrigue to the story as you could see how, despite his dominant persona, Dex 100% had a soft side.
The political aspect of the story and just the overall interactions between Dex, Shawn, and Tabs with their families and friends created such a well-rounded and interesting story that sucked me in! I always get sucked into Kathleen's books, but this one in particular was absolutely riveting!
If you like your romance books with added depth check out The Touch of Wickedness and honestly any of Kathleen's books.
ARC Review - The Touch of Wickedness by Kathleen Haley.
Two hot as sin MMC’s and one tantalising FMC, this book pulled me in from the first page. If you’re up for a spicy read that you cannot put down, you need to read this book ❤️🔥
After 4 years together Dex and Shawn have the perfect dom/sub relationship. Their sexual chemistry and compatibility is off the charts and their plans for marriage are imminent. One night Dex meets Tabitha at a BDSM club, coincidently the very next day Shawn meets her too. They both have an instant connection with Tabitha and begin to question what this means. As a gay man, Dex questions his sexuality, while Shawn struggles with his self doubt and whether he is trying to push his bi identify onto Dex. Tabitha struggles with worries of being the third wheel. Can they handle a relationship with three people? What will everyone else think? Art works, law suits, illegal activities and family drama ensures.
First off this is my favorite in the series so far. I freaking love Shawn and his manic energy. Dex is that powerful Dom who gets what he wants.
Dex and Shawn have been together for 4 years and while Shawn is bi, Dex is not. Him and Shawn have brought women in before but he doesn't usually do them. So when he finds himself doing a cockhold scene in the club he never expected to actual enjoy the feel of this stranger. This dynamic was awesome to watch unfold.
Shawn always enjoys a woman in the mix but he loves Dex and nothing will change that. When he runs into a stunning woman at the farmers market he would love to have some time with he decides not to bring her up to Dex.
Well when suddenly this woman, Tabitha, ends up as Dex's fake girlfriend everything changes. Will Tabitha be a blessing or a curse? She certainly will change things up.
This book is filled with so many deep topics. These included cultural issues, AI stealing artists work, trafficking, and homophobia.
This book is such a surprise and I was so invested in all of the characters and what they had going on. There were a lot of surprising twists.
I expected more of the spice since the other books had so much. I love MM and it was glossed over more especially after adding Tabitha but I still enjoyed it all. Since this book had so many different moving pieces there wasn't as much room for all the sexy times.
This book has the most moving parts and the most character growth. I'm excited to see what else happens in this series.
Kathleen Haley never fails to amaze me, but The Touch of Wickedness? This one felt different—more intense, more raw, more real. Every piece of the story was so carefully woven together, and by the time I reached the end, it was like everything just clicked into place perfectly. I loved how each storyline added depth to the characters, making their journey feel layered, emotional, and impossible to look away from.
Dex, Shawn, and Tabitha’s dynamic was everything. It wasn’t just about the romance—it was about trust, about pushing past fears, about figuring out where they belong in each other’s lives. Dex, with his unshakable control and possessiveness, had such a fascinating contrast with Shawn, who was all warmth and understanding. And Tabitha? She brought something neither of them realized they needed. The way their relationship unfolded was intoxicating—tender yet fiery, filled with moments that had my heart racing, breaking, and melting all at once.
The plot itself kept me completely hooked. There were twists I never saw coming, moments that had me gasping out loud, and scenes so well written that I had to stop and just breathe for a second. Kathleen didn’t just write a romance—she crafted a world filled with high stakes, deep emotions, and characters that felt achingly real.
Sucked me into this right from the start of the book. I was so captivated with Dex and Shawn from the beginning of this book; and when Tabitha entered the picture and was presented with being with both of these beautiful men what a perfect trio !!!

This is the 5th book in this series. I went into this book blind, not reading the blurb, which I usually do. And the prologue between Shawn and Dex was so fucking hot 🥵 God damn!!! And then you add in Tabitha!! It’s not just the spicy scenes that got me but also the journey between these three makes a very good story. I absolutely recommend reading this book.
Oh man, this book has it all. Kathleen Haley has done it again. Let's introduce our main characters: ❤️Dex- hot asf, brooding, serious, take charge DOM. ❤️Shawn- creative, fun, full of life but struggles with his emotions ❤️Tabitha- beautiful, caring, fiercely protective but lacks assertiveness for her own gain.
The Touch of Wickedness follows this triade through triple POV's Dex and Shawn are in a BDSM committed relationship that occasionally take a third for fun. Dex is gay, Shawn is Bi. Que our Tabitha....They each meet her separately and as fate would have it she is brought into the boys life. Dex can't make sense of his feelings for her but they are there and they are very real. Shawn is hooked from the start and Tabitha is keen on both men for very different reasons, she wants to risk it and live more but is scared to be a "third." As all this is developing our MMC's are juggling family pressures/ family dramas, career progression, legal battles oh and taking down a whole child trafficking ring in Malaysia.
The story is gripping and suspenseful throughout, I never see that last twist until it's right there because I am so engrossed in all the dynamics at play.
And the spice is delish!! OMG guys be prepared for the smut level in this one, your girl here was flushed I'm not Gunna lie. Freaking brilliant 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

As always with a BDSM Dom/Sub vibe check your triggers. Dex is a DOM in every sense and he has zero f*cks to give when it comes to "his"
Kathleen has truly surpassed herself with this book! The amount of gasps, open-mouthed, dropped-jaw, silent screaming reactions I had while reading this - countless. I have been a fan of Kathleen's for a little while now, but this book really blew me away and Dexter is my newest dom book boyfriend.
The Touch of Wickedness gives us Dexter/Dex, Shawn, and Tabitha's why-choose story. Dex is an absolute dom in every aspect of his life. Shawn is a super sweet angel of a man who wears his heart on his sleeve. They met when Dex literally lassoed Shawn one night at a club.
Enter Tabitha, meeting each of them accidentally and separately. A fake dating partner is needed for Dex's family, and Shawn agrees to fake date Tabitha for her family. Yet Dex throws a wrench into that plan & derails it.
Some of the scenes as the three of them test being a throuple in public & in private had me shrieking and covering my mouth in surprise and it was so amazing! There is more to the plot which continues throughout but I do not wish to spoil the fun. But I will quote Dex, "I require absolute devotion and selfless service. I'm a jealous god full of selfish fire. I will consume you and expect you to thank me for every second of your destruction." You gotta read this book!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The Touch of Wickedness is Book 5 of The Senses Series and is a delicious MMF dark romance with a captivating throuple you can’t help but love. We met Dexter & Shawn in Book 1, The Smell of Fear, as Dexter and Shawn are best friends with Gwynn. Dexter and Shawn made appearances in the other books, and I was intrigued by Shawn’s larger-than-life personality and Dex’s fiercely protective nature when it came to his friends. Both men are downright gorgeous, and we found out that they added an additional partner to their dynamic, but didn’t get the deets as to how that came to be…and now we have them!!

Shawn & Dexter are an established couple, who instantly connected when they met in a k!nk club years ago. Shawn is bisexual, and has shared women with Dex, but it’s only ever been in the short-term. When Shawn literally crashes into Tabitha at a farmer’s market, he is determined to have her be a part of his and Dex’s life…but Tabitha only desires to date one man and Dex doesn’t want to open up their relationship. Shawn, ever the mediator and peacekeeper, has a sixth sense about what his partner(s) need and is prepared for the uphill battle ahead.
Tabitha tends to be a one-man type of woman, but ends up meeting Dexter–an untouchable god who made her drop down and worship at his feet, and then Shawn–an irresistible rogue. The problem? They’re a couple & she doesn’t do threesomes…or so she thinks 🤭
Dexter has crafted thick walls surrounding himself so that he isn’t swayed from his trajectory in life and can guard himself and his family–his grandfather and his boyfriend Shawn. Dexter hasn’t been swayed by women and in all of his sexual encounters, he is in control and on top. That is, until he meets the most alluring woman one night at his member’s only k!nk club, and he starts to question his sexuality. This woman, whose name he didn’t get, is captivating his every thought and making Dex realize he may have to reconsider his views on sexuality, love, and found family.
Fate keeps throwing Dex, Shawn, and Tabitha together, so it might be time for everyone to evaluate their life choices & make some changes. Will they find a way to make their relationship work? Will their families and society accept their relationship, or will they feel the need to stifle their love to fit the mold the world is most comfortable with?
I really enjoyed the dynamic between Dexter, Shawn, and Tabitha. Dexter, with his hard exterior and penchant for control, struggled to be vulnerable at times, but found safety in expressing his love with Shawn, and then Tabitha. Shawn was always able to see the bigger picture, was the glue that held everyone together and was able to bring much-needed levity to bleak situations. Tabitha was the perfect complement to both Shawn and Dexter with her calming demeanor and openness in trying to be assertive in what she wants for a change. These three pushed each other’s boundaries and exposed one another’s insecurities in order to forge a deep connection that could withstand whatever was thrown their way.
If you enjoy dark romance with a plot filled with twists & turns, then add this to your TBR!
Dex, Shawn, and Tabitha are my new favourites from Kathleen's The Senses Series. I have never read something featuring a triad at the core, but I really enjoyed it. I adored their characterisations and thought they complemented each other wonderfully, and the way they navigated their unconventional relationship hooked me in.
After a chance meeting, Dex ropes Tabitha into helping him out with family drama. At the start, Dex views Tabitha as a transaction, despite the explosive feelings he tries to ignore - a fake girlfriend in exchange for legal representation. Shawn has other ideas, however, and is determined to have his way... The story explores the development of their triad and raises the question of whether something fake can turn real, or if insecurities will get the better of them.
I also loved the various storylines and supporting characters - especially seeing old favourites drop in like Astrid and co! I found the issues surrounding Tabitha, with the AI legal battle, very relevant and added another interesting layer to the story. Overall, I was intrigued from start to finish, and found the plot rich in detail, humour and suspense. The writing was vivid and made it a fast and easy read.
I loved how the storylines all came together at the end and were tied up perfectly. The ending was brilliant. I was also shocked at the various revelations and the plot kept me on my toes with unsuspecting twists and turns. I definitely wasn't expecting the outcome, so it felt cleverly written, especially as I like to try and guess what happens.
I think this is Kathleen's most tantalising work yet, however the scenes were fitting and added to the story and character development rather than being there for the sake of it. It felt like each scene was meaningful and necessary, providing deeper insight into each of the triad. Despite how raunchy the story was at times, it was also a tender story of finding acceptance, love, and yourself. I read it in just a few sittings! Just to make sure to check the content warnings, as it does feature child trafficking as a large plot point.
Perfect for lovers of: Dark romance BDSM Found family Chance meetings Family betrayal Revenge Fake dating Blackmail Action and suspense
Multicultural romance with a twist? Yes, please! "The Touch of Wickedness" dives deep into the lives of Dexter, a Malaysian lawyer, and Shawn, a Jamaican artist, as they navigate the complexities of love, identity, and intrigue. And oh, what a tangled web Kathleen Hayley weaves!
Dexter's battling personal and professional storms, from a trafficking case involving a baby named Aidan to his own family drama about his sexuality. His solution? A fake girlfriend contract with Tabitha that turns into a whole lot more when Shawn enters the picture. Now, that's a plot twist I didn't see coming!
I'll be honest, the soulmate confusion threw me at first—Dexter's gay but his soulmate's a woman? Then Shawn? But as the layers peeled back, the story's rich diversity and emotional depth pulled me in. The exploration of cultural pressures and the legal and ethical maze around baby trafficking in Asia added a gripping layer of realism that's hard to shake.
There were moments I thought the plot might unravel with all its twists—Tabitha's kidnapping, the throuple dynamics, and a family betrayal that felt like a soap opera peak—but Hayley manages to tie up the loose ends in a dramatic, satisfying conclusion. The adrenaline-pumping horseback chase? Pure gold. And the BDSM interrogation? It's as wicked as the title promises.
While it's a wild ride and occasionally overwhelming with its twists, "The Touch of Wickedness" is a bold exploration of love's complexity in a multicultural setting. Perfect for those who like their romance novels packed with suspense, drama, and a touch of the unexpected.
If you thought Kathleen was done, think again! The paradox of navigating deep rooted biases versus the personal desire for satisfaction, fulfillment and happiness is the backbone of this novel. The conflicts of traditional relationships versus the dynamics of a relationship defined solely by the participants, as well as the morality aspect of human trafficking clashing against the desire of fulfillment of establishing a family, places the reader in a position of examining what their own personal choice would be and how the situations should be navigated.
The characters are well developed and charming in their own unique ways. Their struggle to remain true to themselves while navigating their family relationships is a conundrum many readers have faced and can empathize with. Emotionally and mentally stimulating, the readers navigate the personal path of either regret with the outcome, relief and joy that they were accepted or did not have to face a situation which would result in a conflict or deep consideration as to what they may eventually have to face.
Kathleen's writing brings to the forefront current and emotionally charged issues which plague societies globally; issues which present no easy solution and have been present for decades. This is an excellent novel which does not disappoint!
The touch of wickedness is a wild ride with packed work drama, suspense twist some unexpected but always a prefect add for the story. It’s a story of love, power, betrayal and un breakable bonds. It explores the complexity of love between three very different individuals who come together to complete each other and loving each other fully. The ending was the icing on the cake.
Dex is a tall dark and handsome lawyer who oozes sex appeal and confidence and dominance not taking no for an answer.
Shawn is a confident and creative artist/sculptor. While he may be submissive to Dex he still has his own dominate side under his sweet sexy exterior.
When he bumps Tabitha a fiery one man kinda women all bets are off. Shawn knows what he wants, and will did what he had to do to get her into there life as a third.
He was the softer side of the men, well Dex was stern and harder. Tabitha completed them and brought out the best in all of them.
Will Dex give him what he wants? Can Dex give into his desires of his own? Will Tabitha be able to love two men at once? Will there family be able to accept their sexuality as well as their relationship?
I love how Kathleen writes her characters there are so many different sides to them and forever changing and developing. As well as how she portray the life style in her writing
I don't usually read books with MM, but being that Kathleen wrote it, I gave it a shot. I would read anything she writes! And it served!!! I loved the whole dynamic between Shawn, Dex, and Tabitha. The three of them are hot and steamy, but they balance each other and compliment each other so well in this story! I loved being able to get into each character's head. They are very well written. The BDSM elements was played into the story in a way where it wasn't thrown in our faces. It was very subtly done and tasteful. The three of them finding ways to tell their family about the dynamic of their relationship brought such a realistic down to earth element to the story, as I know a lot of people of this orientation struggles with the same issues. I also really enjoyed the trafficking aspect of the story. It kept me hooked wanting to know more... And my jaw is still on the floor about who was behind the whole thing. I didn't see that coming. I do feel like Tabitha's kidnapping was swept under the rug and down played a little... but other than that, this story was amazing. I absolutely recommend this entire series!!!!
This book, the fifth in a remarkable series, stands out as a captivating read on its own. The dynamic personalities of Shawn, Dex, and Tabitha fuse together in a way that defies expectation, creating an intriguing blend that is both entertaining and relatable. Kathleen masterfully crafts characters that feel incredibly real, allowing readers to not only visualize but almost sense their presence—her vivid descriptions bring them to life just as effectively as in book six. (I am not reading in order, but I always suggest you do!)
Exploring themes of nontraditional relationships and the journey of self-discovery amidst societal expectations, this plot is nothing short of exhilarating. It's packed with spice that enhances the suspense and enriches the well-structured storyline, rather than detracting from it. The unique tropes introduced were a delightful surprise, adding a fresh twist to the narrative. If you share a love for dark romance, I wholeheartedly recommend diving into this book. If a fast paced reader like myself, you’re going to devour it quickly! You won’t be disappointed!
And now I’m a little obsessed with Dex. Honestly this is the first time I’ve read anything like this. It’s a MMF throuple, or rather a triad romance you could say. Three very different individuals coming together and loving each other. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. About Dex, Shawn and Tabitha’s dynamic, I would put it down and end up mulling their story over in my mind while washing the dishes. The spice level is top notch! Had me blushing at a few points. Beyond that the plot was fascinating and unexpectedly had me gasping out a no at one point. Shawn had me smiling and chuckling throughout, a stark contrast to Dex’s brooding intensity. Tabitha just slotted right in the middle. The perfect missing piece to the puzzle. A very enjoyable read!
💜 Found Family 💜 Multiple POV 💜 Dark Romance 💜 Why Choose? 💜 Fake Relationship
This story is about a throuple involving Dex, Shawn and Tabitha. Dex and Shawn have been in a relationship for a few years and things are going great. Though Shawn is bi and when he meets Tabitha he immediately likes her and wonders what it would be like to invite her into his established relationship. Dex has always considered himself gay but when he meets Tabitha he definitely has a strong attraction to her. Then he begins to question himself. There's a lot of plot topics happening in the story, like family acceptance, fear of being judged at work, and discovering one's own sexuality. Tabitha has always been a one man woman but when presented with the opportunity to be in an MMF relationship she decides to try it. This is a very good story with a good storyline and some spice thrown in. I enjoyed it very much. It's very well written. I only gave four stars because I would have liked to see more spicy scenes. But that's only my personal preference. It's a great book and I definitely recommend it.
Kathleen has created something fantastic again and she never disappoints. The story between Dex, Shawn, and Tabitha's relationship from the beginning to the end will give you chills. While each relationship started differently, the love and respect each give the other will make you swoon. Having to deal with all the family drama between them all made my head spin. Navigating being a throuple has it's ups and downs, but in my opinion this throuple is just perfect.
The twist and turns really do keep you on your toes and I would definitely recommend this book. If you want any spoilers you will not get them here, you will just have to read the book. There is plenty of spice with some BDSM thrown in, or the other way around...depends on how you like it. While this is the 5th book in the series, so if you haven't read the first four that is ok but please do back and read them...you will don't regret it. Kathleen Haley is by far one of my favorite authors and I will forever follow her!!!
Kathleen Haley once again wrote another amazing dark romance! This is book 5 in the Sense Series and amazingly, it’s as compelling and enthralling as the last. The trio of Dex, Shawn, and Tabitha are ascribing and had me invested from the multiple meet-cutes early on!
I loved the depth of Dex and Shawn’s dynamic from the very start. Their history is clear and the roles they each play in their relationship are easy to see and understand. Adding Tabitha into the mix adds another layer of complexity that brings some insecurities to light but also allows for a lot of character growth.
As usual with Kathleen Haley’s books, The The Touch of Wickedness came with a side of intrigue and mystery. Without spoiling anything- this subplot ties in beautifully with the romantic arc and gives even more depth to these characters.
I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own.
I just finished The Touch of Wickedness by Kathleen Haley and these are my thoughts.
The Touch of Wickedness is a multi-racial why choose MMF dark romance (on the lighter side). It is based in London and written from the perspective of our 3 main characters. It is book 5 of The Senses series but is written as a distinct standalone, you do not have to have read the previous books first for the story or the world the book is set in to make sense.
The story follows our main characters as they each navigate through an important personal task, finding each other and working out how to ensure a relationship between the three of them would work. Each of our characters comes from a different cultural background highlighting some of the struggles LGBTQI+ people can experience when opening up about one’s sexuality to family all around the world.
Throw in some spice, some adventure, a strong BDSM relationship dynamic with strong character development and The Touch of Wickedness was an enjoyable.5 star read with a 3.5 chilli pepper spice rating.
I absolutely loved reading how Dex, Tabitha and Shawn built their story around the unconventional way of living. They made it work for them and Kathleen Haley brought it out in such a way that it worked perfectly.
In the beginning Dom Dex douche, was overpowering and really dark, brooding character, but he seems to open up in a was that made him more appealing. Spontaneous sassy Shawn, always had a way of making a person feel at ease and sensual, I loved how a different side of him came out in his character. Timid Tabitha seemed to have very lo self esteem, but having her hot as hell, dominant men around brought of the best in her.
I absolutely loved it. If suspense, dark energy and murder with plenty of BDSM to keep it all wrapped up it what you like, this is a must read.
This book starts with a bang and spice... Dex is a definite egotistical dictator who has no problems blackmailing someone to get what he wants. His presence and dominance literally jump off the page. Well, we're ten, but oh, I really didn't like him. His partner Shawn is a sweetie, an artist who feels for Dex the first night they meet. But family secrets and intrigue lead Dex to find Tabitha manipulating the situation to gain what he needs...
What I really enjoyed about this book was the political intrigue and the layers of secrets that surround Dex and his family. The descriptive style brings the story to life, showcasing how the three main characters come together in truly unexpected ways. It’s a delightful reminder that anything is possible!
If you like polyamorus relationships, Dominant egotistical males and an excellent intriguing story line this is for you.
Powerful and provocative!!! There's steamy and there's HOT!!. Dex and Shawn. Happy and in love. Their gay Bdsm relationship is explosive and complete or so they think till they meet Tabitha. Is there room for a third? Will it destroy the love they share, or make it even stronger? Then there's a battle to win full of suspense and intrigue involving and saving the life of a child as well as many more. Can they save him in time or is it too late? So much love to share, with abounding mysteries unsolved and many twists and turns. Don't miss this exciting new book in The Senses Series from the very talented Kathleen Haley
