Having met Bob on several occasions and considering him a friend, I still have no earthly idea where he gets these sick, demented and hilarious stories from. 9d6 is a continuation of the long Caverns & Creatures campaign that sees a group of, to use Bob's own words "A**Holes" finding out what it means to be on the "other side" of the DM Screen. If you're a fan I don't know why you're reading this review, just buy the book already. If you're using this review do decide if you want to jump in STOP (sorry BOB) Don't buy this book. Go buy Caverns & Creatures book 1 and start at the beginning. You're not the type of person to start your Star Wars Saga with Rogue one Right, or jump into Star Trek in the middle of the 3rd season of DS9, or watch Lord of the Rings in the middle of movie 3 are you? If you are, they heck, give Bob your money so you don't waste it on something else first.

Read the whole series, you'll get to this book soon enough and be much happier for it.

This was hilarious, chaotic, and exactly what I wanted from another Caverns & Creatures short story collection. The jokes hit, the pacing was tight, and somehow amidst all the absurdity, there’s still a weird amount of heart.

Also—Jonathan Sleep absolutely kills it as the audiobook narrator. His timing, his character voices, the sheer energy he brings… it takes everything up a notch. Highly recommend listening if you can.

Entertaining box set listening 🎧🎶

I listened to each individually. Each story is different with interesting characters a lot of action, misdirection, and violence leading to each conclusion.

I would recommend this series and author to readers of fantasy world 🌐 of interesting individuals who are having fun. 🤓😯 2025 🙃😮

I'm sad that I'm finally caught up with the series and all the short stories (that are available via audio). I absolutely adore Julian and Ravenous, and Tim. Cooper and Dave's dynamic just doesn't get old either. It's so immature but I'm sorry, it's funny as fuck. As much as I love the main series, these side quests with just the core characters are really great. Keep them coming!!

Literally the funniest in the D6 series so far. The audiobook I'd especially good.
