Bone and Phaedra 🥰

Phaedra was 17. Got caught in a bank robbery with her boyfriend Bobby and his friends Randall and Aaron . She was the driver but didn’t know what happened. The police went after them and got arrested. The DA offered her a deal. She testified against them and she only gets 10 years, 8 if she well behaves. And did. They had 20 years. Randall told her she will be dead.

After 8 years, she was out. Went back to her parent house. She decided to go study culinary school. After 2 years and 4 others years, she was graduating. Her parents and her decided to move to Connecticut, Randall was free after 14 years. She was looking for a chef jobs but with her past, no one wanted her. She saw Bones advertised add and she was hired. Will she bring drama to his doorstep and will he help her out?

To be honest, when i saw this book, i just binged the whole series to be able to follow the narrative. And I was so impressed!!! I loved Bone overprotective instincts just woke up as soon as he met Phaedra! And he fell bad so bad for her!!! Was well written, the plot was strong and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!!! It’s a fast reading, full of surprises and Phaedra is not a force to recon with!!! I really enjoyed this story!!! 5 ⭐️

A new start in a new state

Phaedra has had a rough start to adulthood, and now she needs to put some distance between her future and a reminder from her past who is still gunning for her. She ends up in Connecticut with a culinary degree just as Bones' Dancing Hog restaurant is hiring for a head chef.

Bones is trying to keep things professional, but his favorite cupcake-baking employee is hard to resist. Phaedra finds not only a job, but an entire community ready to welcome her with open arms, especially her very attractive boss. I appreciated that their burgeoning romance was treated very realistically, none of the tropey 'we can't because we work together' stuff, just open honesty with their co-workers and professional attitudes at work. Perfect.

I am seriously in love with the entire Merciless Few club and I loved how they became everything to Phaedra that she's been needing. I thought the romance was authentic and full of emotional honesty and passionate commitment to each other. I loved the way they had her back when trouble finally found her, and I was very happy with the delightful HEA.

Overcoming an incident which took away eight years of her life, Phaedra made the decision to turn her life around by going to college and becoming a chef. When she learns that one of the men who had threatened her eight years earlier was getting out of prison early, she moves to Connecticut. Getting a job was difficult but when she applied to Bones' (Liam’s) restaurant, the Dancing Hog, he hires her immediately. Bones’ attraction for Phaedra is solid but he is willing to take things slow. When danger threatens Phaedra, Bones and his MC brothers come to her rescue. This is a great book, and I enjoyed the bonus chapter.

Loved Bones and Phaedra’s story!
Angel just has a way of writing amazing characters with different personalities and backgrounds than you see in other books. They have every day problems that have to work through. I love that Bones was protective and concerned about her right from the beginning but tried to keep it professional for a bit. I love that he was there when he was needed and took care of her. Probably one of my favorite of Angel’s books!
