The only thing I don't bargain for is the stranger lurking in the shadows, watching as our scene plays out.
As lines blur between pleasure and danger, sanctity and sin, fantasy and reality collide. But when it's time for the night to end, will I be able to walk away, or will my darkest fantasies consume me?
Content Note "Scream Baby Scream" is an 18+ MFM erotic romance novella that explores the thin line between ecstasy and fear. This book contains sexual scenes, kink/fetish content, drug use, and strong language. Reader discretion is strongly advised. A full content note can be found in the front matter of the book.
Sonia Palermo writes spicy contemporary, paranormal, and erotic romance. When she’s not immersed in writing, she enjoys cosying up on the sofa with a cup of tea and indulging in a good horror or romance movie. A true beach lover, Sonia finds inspiration along the beautiful south coast of England, where she lives.
If you're looking for a steamy halloween novella, this is a good one to read.
I love the game that Tatum is starting with someone online, Wes. They talked about everything, and she's giving herself up to him, her own fantasy. Little did she know the game Wes had set up. Is alittle twisted 🥵.
I won't give away much about their game, but there is a 3rd person in the mix. The spice is delicious the dirty talk one of them has is purrrfect!!! The 2 MMC know how to have a good time with their girl.
I felt the group was a little off near the end.. but that's me. I do wish the ending happened differently, but this could lead to a longer book? Who knows. But it was enjoyable.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, drama, sexy times, no virgins

This book is short, spicy, dark, and fun. I absolutely devoured this! This is a dark, Halloween themed MFM novella.

Scream baby scream was a great novella. Wes and Trick are two masked men who are unhinged and always get what they want. I loved how short and spicy it was. I hope we get another book featuring them because I would love to read more!

This is a short novella and sometimes I don’t enjoy these types of books because of how quick and forced they can be if not written well. Not with this one though! I truly enjoyed this read and though I wish it were longer, it was so well written and the detail was phenomenally done that I didn’t even care.
It’s an erotic horror? romance? Well- I’m not great with categories, but I felt the fright that Tatum felt and the passion between her and the men, “Trick and Wes,” was undeniable. The spicy scenes were *chefs kiss* and I loved that the epilogue was in Wes’ POV because it gave a change of pace and a bit more pizazz to the story!
This is a first for me of Sonia’s writing, but I can’t wait to see what else she comes out with in the future!
Scream Baby Scream by Sonia Palermo will now be one of my favorite spicy Halloween Novellas during spooky season. I loved the communication, the trust, and the understanding between the MMCs, Ash and Wes, and the FMC, Tatum. I greatly appreciated that they set boundaries, respected them, and followed safe words. Sometimes with novellas that gets lost in translation, but this did an amazing job of it. Short, spicy, and sweet! I highly recommend.

"For all the good girls who dream of getting railed by Ghostface. Wh settle for one when you can have two?"
And railed she got. This book is smutty goodness, less plot. I am glad everything was explained a little bit in the end though. This novella is short, dark and spicy. A quick read perfect for spooky season (or if you're like me: perfect for whenever 😜).
I was expecting this to have more of a slasher theme to it given the cover and description. Apart from it starting at a Halloween party it isn't really a seasonal read. I was expecting a chase and it to have darker themes, it ended up just being smut. I did enjoy the dynamic between the 2 MMCs and how they interact
5/5-★ The scream I screamt. This book fuels some serious fires deep inside. Ash and Wes are otherworldly. We always love a good why choose trope over here in my corner. 🤌🏼 This was fast paced, sinfully delicious, and down right captivating.
🔪Why choose 🔪Dark Romance 🔪MFM 🔪MINE 🔪Trick? Or Treat? 🔪Masked Men 🔪One Mute
Yes baby yes. Filled with spice and intrigue. Wes and Trick make a great team and you don’t want the short story to end. The character building is light for sure, but this isn’t the kind of story with a developing romance where background info is needed either. If you are looking for a sexy, dirty good time, don’t hesitate to start reading this!

When your fantasy becomes a reality, do you run away or throw caution to the wind? Tatum didn’t run away, in fact she orchestrated the whole thing, except she got more than she bargained on. Let’s just say I think she savoured everything that transpired.
It’s a smutty read with masked men, need I say more 😈
“Then again, I’d still fuck this pretty mouth if you were dead. Imagine if you took your last breath on my cock. You’ve got me so hard thinking about how I could end your life with you choking down my dick,” ^ Page 27.
^^ Not a fan of necrophilia...
This was an absolute shit show. It's approx 68 pages but the book just sucked.
I could tell I wasn't going to enjoy this when they were quoting Twilight not even 2 pages in 🤦🏻♀️ they later reference Spiderman. “Tatum? Where the hell have you been, loca?” “God ain’t here, baby. Just your friendly neighbourhood serial killer.”
Plot summary below for my fully honest opinion 🫶🏻
Tatum shows up to her friend's party to have sex with a masked man she met on a kinky website that she's never met before. She doesn't even run from them or get very far, they fuck and they're just like "oh your fear is turning me on" bro she's not scared she wants your dick - HUGE DIFFERENCE. Then the other guy shows up and she's like "oh yeah he can join us just no cameras".
Then they drug her?? She wakes up only to pass out again and she finds a needle next the bed. SHE DOESN'T QUESTION WHAT THEY USE ON HER?? They fuck again (obviously). Then it's the next morning and Trick is like "oh yeah I'm Ash not Wes, Wes was Trick he's terrified of talking to girls irl go find him" low and behold she finds him and they fuck. AFTER HE'S ON HIS KNEES MESSAGING HER WHILE HE'S IN FRONT OF HER??
The epilogue is in Wes' POV and the two men drug her months after their temporary agreement ended and make her come in the bathroom (literally).
Could not pay me enough to convince me to read this ever again. I was hoping for a quick little novella so I've read today. Not whatever this was.
I absolutely loved this book, and it is a perfect short read for the spooky season. As someone who loves 80s/90’s slasher films, I had a feeling I’d love this book just as much, and I was not disappointed.
I want to make clear. this book should not be read by anyone under the age of 18. It is for adults only.
This book is dark, suspenseful and full of spice. It’s the perfect blend of slasher/horror and romance in one short novella.
The author did an amazing job on this book and I highly recommend reading it for spooky season or if you just love men in masks.
The book does contain a fair number of, content warnings, so please check that out before reading. But overall, I highly recommend this book and I loved it.
The only reason I didn’t rate this book 5⭐️ was because it was too short, I would have loved for it to be a little longer. Other than that it was a fantastic read.
Overview of book:
28yr old Tatum, named after an iconic 90s slasher film character, loves all things scary, and has spent the past few months messaging back and forward with a guy named Wes. They flirt and share their darkest desires with each other. Tatum attends a Halloween party and finds herself being stalked by 2 guys in a ghostly mask, receiving messages from them before they make a move on her upstairs. This book is a horror romance and if you love slashers or a certain movie with a ghostly killer, this is 100% for you. I highly recommend this wonderful short read.
Scream Baby Scream contains triggering situations such as alcohol use, drugging, knife play, choking/breath play, self-harm (cutting, off-page), marking (cutting, on-page), graphic sexual scenes, sadomasochism, and strong language.
Scream Baby Scream is a dark, MFM Halloween Romance novella, and also explores themes such as strangers- to-lovers, free use, masked men, stretching/DVP, choking/breath play, secret identity, mute MMC, dirty talking MMC, alt FMC, tattoos and piercings, voyeurism, knife play, multiple O's, praise, filming, marking (cutting, on-page), blood play, drugging, autassassinophilia (arousal by risk of being killed), sadomasochism, dubious consent, and consensual non-consent.
This book should not be used as a reference or guide for safe BDSM practices.
I rated this book 5* I absolutely loved the chemistry between the main characters, it made the plot of a simple Halloween hookup so much more vivid to imagine. Trick and Wes... oh my.. who doesn't want a masked tattooed man doing absolutely anything and everything they want to you? Knowing that when you say 'red' they've got to stop... a woman can dream...
I'd highly recommend this book to those not put off by the triggers as this book is just pure smut with a splash of Halloween.
Not my usual sort of read, but as I really enjoy getting out of my comfort zone every now and then thought I'd give this a go. Oh, and did this push my comfort zone! It's the sort of well paced story that suctions itself to your page turning finger so you can't put it down. It's nasty and violent and scary and shocking. It's filthy and depraved and hot and beautiful. At points you refuse to believe what your reading, at others you want the story to go on forever. This story is a breathtaking nightmare, an exhausting joy, a disquieting couple of hours. And that ending!!!! Pretty powerful writing for a novella!
I can honestly say I have been book wrecked!
This is a high four. Can't give it five because I thought the knife play went a bit too far, but that's just my opinion.

“I want to play a game.” “He wants this. But I want this, too. I chose this.”
Short & spicy Halloween novella with masked MMCs.
Even though the book was quite short, there was a lot happening. The pacing was fast, but didn’t feel rushed.
The book is told from the FMC Tatum’s point of view, except for the epilogue, which was in Wes’s POV. The single POV storytelling worked well for the story, but I also liked how the POV switched for the epilogue, allowing the reader to see a bit of the other side of the story.
The spice was spicing, and I would love to read more about these characters.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.
