Winning means killing. Sickos around the world are playing a deadly game, and the body count is climbing.

In the second book of the thrilling Chasing Chinatown trilogy, FBI agent Abby Kane hunts the man behind the sadistic challenges the only way she knows how: by playing the game and moving up the bloody leaderboard herself.

Abby arrives in Bangkok, Thailand, where she discovers a killer is already roaming the Big Mango looking for his next grand kill to win the game. As Abby is pulled further into the world of deadly play, the dynamics of the game suddenly change. Out of her jurisdiction and unsure of who she can trust, Abby is faced with two choices: walk away or die.

So exciting! Probably quite unrealistic, but it doesn’t matter, because it is just so entertaining. And the exotic setting doesn’t hurt either. Thailand, ladyboys, hot and steamy weather and a killer game (literally) make this a fast read. Abby Kane is a little dynamo and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

The final book in the Chasing Chinatown trilogy. However, if you have read the Chasing Chinatown Trilogy you really need to read the first Abby Kane book. I will say this is truly the start of the Sei series. This was a fun adventure to read and there are clues to the ending of this trilogy inside a series.

How did this book find me? I've been reading the Abby Kane series for a bit now.

Nasib baik la saya sedang baca 6-series-in-1 compilation of the story, limited FOC availability via Kobo. Else I would be very very annoyed with the cliffhanger ending. LOL.

Lumpini Park Chasing Chinatown Trilogy, #2: Abby Kane FBI Thriller; I believe you will enjoy this second in the series very much! It has all the ingredients that show the Authors expertise with this character and the Asian City of Bangkok!
The author has put together a series that is so detailed in the Asian culture and places. This epic transcends us to Bangkok, Thailand. The description of the places in the City are vivid and they come alive in telling us of the Game of Killing strangers!
In Russian Hill we learn of Teams going around the world killing as a game to those that play! In Bangkok the tables are some what turned! The rogued “Creeper” needs to be stopped. Once again Abby and Kyle team-up to stop him along with detective Artie from Thai PD. Artie is very resourceful and useful.
With the riddles solved the local “game master” can’t control the “CREEPER” and his killing outside of the rule of the “GAME!” He needs Abby and Kyle to eliminate him. A master of disguises “CREEPER” is also sent to eliminate both Abby and Kyle in his next riddle. Without the wig and limp, he goes unnoticed and makes that fatal error and is eliminated.
The “GAME Master” has yet been revealed takes the news of Abby and Kyle as you would expect, not well!
It is fasted paced and well written in the TY Hutchinson style that has become a favorite of mine! Again, the depiction of the City of BANGKOK is very vivid, and you know that you are right there in the middle of all the action! You can feel the humidity, see the street vendors, smell the carts are of full of food that you can almost taste. The driving of the taxis is scary and well noted! You really have a solid feel of the City and the way of life in the sections talked about!
Sei is introduced as an assassin and we will find her in the next segment which is a nice added bonus!
Enjoyed this and look to the next of this series “Coit Tower!”

Beware: there are Monitor Lizards in Lumpini Park! Thank you to Nebula of Books and Ty Hutchinson @tyhutchinson for this free ecopy.
“Lumpini Park” (Abby Kane #4) (also #2 in the Chasing Chinatown trilogy) by Tyson Hutchinson⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Genre: Thriller. Location: Bangkok, Thailand. Time: Present.

THE SERIES: Abby Kane (Chinese/Irish ethnicity) spent her early detective career in Hong Kong, China. After husband Peng Yee’s mysterious death (6 months after they wed), Abby moves her stepchildren Ryan (8) and Lucy (5) and mother-in-law Po Po to San Francisco, California. More time for hands-on parenting. What she gets instead is a job with the FBI solving their most baffling cases.

THIS BOOK:
Abby’s thigh is almost healed after Team Carlson (serial killer husband and wife from book 3) were caught, but the case isn’t over. The bloody “Chasing Chinatown” global game’s next clues are in Bangkok, Thailand. Abby and San Francisco Detective Kyle Kang continue to work together to hunt the mastermind behind the sadistic challenges by playing the bloody game as Team Carlson. Arriving in Bangkok, they meet Royal Thai Police Detective Artie, and learn Team Creeper has already left a bloody ‘Human Som Tum’ (green papaya salad) at a local shrine. As they become entangled in the deadly game, the rules shift again and again.

Author Hutchinson has written a serial killer thriller with a unique lead character. He narrates it from Abby’s point of view-she’s seen a lot of horrific cases in her short career. Hutchinson keeps the tension high with a twisty plot. Fast-paced and action-filled like Patterson and Baldacci. And yes, male-written female characters like theirs. The action-filled plot will keep your interest and immerse you in the seedier side of Bangkok. I can’t wait to read the next one, and it’s 5 stars from me🌵📚💁🏼‍♀️🎀

What a read! Definitely one that gets you gripped and wanting to continue to read to see what happens. This is book 2 in Chasing Chinatown which follows Abby Kane and Kyle Kang as they travel to Bangkok, Thailand as part of the killer game where they have taken on the part of The Carlson's who sadly met their end in the last book when they were caught.
Towards the end, we discover that Abby and Kyle, along with Thailand national Artie, come up with a plan to get back on all of the people behind Chasing Chinatown in Thailand, including people that Abby had to fly in from the US specifically. Abby and Kyle sat inside a van as their eyes while the rest of the teams lurked around outside - only they were too late, someone else has beaten them to it and has slain every person at the site, by decapitation and the leader being cut open. However, Abby discovers a woman tied up by her arms and only wearing under garments which she demands she be released and given her clothes back. Only this woman was not an innocent civilian and may actually be part of this horrific team. The next day Abby receives a phone call telling her that her and the whole team are to return home as Artie has been found dead... but who done it?
The books ends such a huge cliffhanger, I can't wait to read the next book to see how that is dealt with!

It’s on my e-reader. I got 1-6 free from bookbub. I had read a couple before. I wasn’t impressed on the Chasing Chinatown series that you need to read multiple books to get a resolution. This one finished Bangkok but it is apparent it is still not finished. I found it readable but not exciting. Abby obsesses about her ability as a parent far too much and if she were truly concerned, would not put herself in danger as much as she does. The most unrealistic thing is someone jumping on another’s back and wrapping handcuffs around their throat…..geez just fall backwards on top of them! Once they thunked their head on the ground they should be dazed enough that you can escape. I suppose it was supposed to be shock factor. I will finish the series just because I have the books. But ordinarily when there is a story line that goes on into multiple books I drop the series. I figure the author should have written one book instead of making reader buy multiple books to satisfy their curiosity. It’s one factor for turning me off of an author.

Another stirring chapter in the Chasing Chinatown series!

Agent Abby Kane and Detective Kyle Kang become embroiled in the chase for the Mastermind of the Chasing Chinatown game in Bangkok, Thailand. Teaming up with "Officer Artie" they not only shut down the game but learn some interesting information about the people who developed it. Unfortunately As the learns a terrible lesson and pays for it with his life. Once home it seemed like things are back to normal when Abby receives a message from the game!

Really love the Abby Kane series. Most can be read as stand alone books but this is the second of a trilogy, can’t wait to read the third one. This author keeps me gripped all the way through, never wanting to put the book down. Too often I get told off for saying I’ll just finish this chapter and three chapters later still hooked. Abby is a likeable character with real life flaws which makes the storyline so much more believable. I have read other series by this author and he never fails to deliver.

A verrrry generous 2.5 stars... Very similar to the previous book in that... how do I say this in a non-spoilery way... They get lucky, a lot! And for a supposedly very experienced agent, they make some very poor assumptions. And again, there's very little character development.

The one noticeable difference in this one is that Abby's inner voice seems to have a lot less "mom guilt" which is both refreshing (coz it really was annoying me in the previous books) and odd considering the events of this book.

I've been really enjoying this book series. I bought a bundle of 6 books on Kindle and I'm reading them one after the other. The writing style isn't the best, but the mysteries are intriguing. Right now, I'm reading Chasing Chinatown Part 2, where Abby and her partner have to travel to defeat a game developer who has created a game where people can sign up with "teams" to kill others for money. They have to take pictures of the crime and upload them to the game, and the most creative team wins an absurd amount. The story is not the best, but it's really engaging and well-executed.

The Chase Is On!

Agent Kane and detective Kang find themselves in Bangkok to finish what they started in book one of the “Chasing Chinatown” trilogy. Full on action from page one is this fast paged mystery about teams of serial killers playing a game of death for unsuspecting inhabitants of Chinatowns across the globe. Can’t believe I have already moved on to book 3 of the trilogy to find out how everything ends.Don’t pass up this edge-of-your-seat trilogy.

Totally unprepared for the book to be part one of ??? how many ??? So now, yes, I’m reading the next book in the series and hoping it provides the conclusion. I originally was going to give it four stars as an FBI thriller investigation, but dropped it to three because I really dislike books without a conclusion unless you know in advance that it is book one of two or three….

Abby and Kyle Are Still in the Game!

I thoroughly enjoyed the 2nd book in this trilogy. The action and suspense levels were just right. Of course, I still wish the author would curb the juvenile sexual content, but otherwise, an enjoyable read, and I'm excited to begin the last book!

Disappointed

I find that I am disappointed with this instalment of Abby James exploits. This is beginning to feel like a very long book, split into 3, especially with the way that this one has finished,..!! I will read the rest of series and hoping it doesn't get ridiculous !?
