The End is Near Will Megan Barnett go falling back into the arms of dreamy earth angel Guy Matson upon his return? Or is she, in fact, falling in love with the demon Orthon? Or will her out-of-control abilities send her falling into Satan’s open arms? In the final, heart-stopping chapter of the Falling Angels Saga, Megan Barnett is on a quest to rid her life of Satan forever, but Satan has other plans, including a lavish wedding. He’s willing to destroy her family and everyone she loves to have his way. To add to the drama, rogue demons have risen from hell with plans of their own. Will Megan finally have her happily-ever-after, or is she doomed to an eternity in HELL? As Amanda Ashby, author of "Zombie Queen of Newbury High," writes, “E. I can't believe that this book is even better than the last few, I didn't think it could get better.
I can't say a whole lot in this review because I can't see a way to say too much without giving away anything. I will try.
I really have gotten to like Megan alot in this book, even more. I Loved Amanda, shes a cool cat, that is more than she seems. And wow, Harrison is Hot, lol.
I just love Guy more than ever in this one. I missed how much he was missing in the previous book, and was glad to get plenty of him in this one.
UPDATE: I previously wrote I hated the ending, but I had an early ARC copy, and there were changes I was not aware of and the author has supplied me with the new ending to read and the ending is AMAZING now. So anyone who read the part about not liking the ending, please disregard. This series ended in the best way, one I didn't see coming.
Still over all I loved this series. It had me hooked from the first book. Boyfriend from Hell, which is on sale for $.99 cents, Here
I give it 5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended to the paranormal lovers like me out there.
I received this book from the author for my honest review.
I was honored to receive a copy of this book in advance for my review. I did not receive anything other than gratitude from the Author for posting my honest review to help others get a glimpse of what to expect if they choose to read it for themselves.
E. Van Lowe definitely has done it again. Just like I put in my reviews about books 2 and 3, this one doesn't slow down like most book series. They usually get drawn out and at times boring. But this one is nothing short of awesome! I love this series and this final installment did nothing but continue the excitement, anxiety, humor and more, right up until the very last word on the last page! (It's a bonus that the cover looks absolutely awesome and depicts what is going on in the story!) I have to admit that when I heard this book was going to be released on March 13, 2014, I was thinking I would need to reread the last book, Heaven Sent, in order to remember what was going on in the series. (Heaven Sent was released in December of 2012.) Well, you will be as pleasantly surprised as I was to learn that the Author goes over some key points from the other books throughout this one to help us remember what happened. And it isn't with overwhelming flashbacks either! (BONUS!) We pick right back up where we left off in Heaven Sent and it is no less entertaining then the last books in the series. E. Van Lowe has an amazing ability to use great visual tools in his story telling. He not only gets us to picture what the characters look like, but what they are feeling as well. They are easy to like and even just as easy to relate to. He describes places and things with great ease and it too is not over done with obnoxious details. The humor he uses throughout this book, heck the whole series, is also great! Here's a little of what is going on in this book:
Megan is a Junior in High School who is trying to juggle normal every day life. Like going to school, finishing up her Jr. year, keeping up with the popularity group and have faith that Guy is the perfect one for her and that he'll come back. Plus, Meagan must prove to Orthon, a demon, she is not in love with him. Or is it to prove to herself? And finally, avoid becoming Satan's Bride and all that he is throwing her way to win her hand in marriage! Well, obviously there are a couple of things going on that aren't your normal every day life experiences. But, it seems to be the way of Megan's. She has the help of a few people and a demon, to keep her safe and out of Satan's clutches. But, when Satan enlists demons to help him, things start to go nuts. And what about the Satanists? Did Megan really scare them out of her life? Lets not forget that Erin is back in the picture and Megan has to be a buffer between her BFF from long past and her new BFF, Maudrina. On top of this crazy mess, like there really needs to be anything else, Megan is having a hard time controlling her Satan given powers!
This book is a page turner until the very end! You get to enjoy some hairy and even fun adventures. There are really good laugh out loud moments, a love...triangle. A good versus bad fight and so, so much more!! The only thing that keeps me from giving this a "5" star review is that there are a few grammatical errors that kind of confuses me while reading. (Not enough to take away from the story itself.) But there are a few areas that have misplaced quotation marks and therefore, I had to reread a few areas. There is also one part in the book, around mid-to-3/4 through, where there was a little too much thinking going on and it kind of slowed me down on the anxiety train ride. Other than those two things, this book is a perfect ending to the series. I do hate to see these characters go away. But in the same breath, this series is actually good enough to read again later. (And yet, could there be a possible spin-off on this series? Hmmm...guess you'll have to read it and see what you think!)
So, with all that said, I definitely recommend this book/series. I would suggest you read the 3 books that come before this one. They are, in order: Boyfriend From Hell, Earth Angel and Heaven Sent. You won't be sorry!!
Megan may have saved Erin from the Satanists, but Satan and his servants are far from done with Megan. As I said before, Satan will stop at nothing to make Megan his bride. He will make life hell for Megan, her family, and her friends until she gives in to him. But Megan is not the giving up type. With the help of her friends (and Guy!), Megan is determined to finally defeat Satan once and for all.
Guess who's back! And for real this time! GUY! *flails* So excite, you guys! :D I cannot tell you how much I missed him! I love that angel so hard! I forgot how amazing and charming and swooningly arrogant he is. To me, it was obvious that there was something off about "Guy" in the last book... Now this is the Guy I remember and love!
Speaking of the other "Guy," I hate the demon! I also dislike the fact that Megan entertained the idea of actually loving him. I din't know... I mean, I understand that she could've possibly developed feelings for him while he was pretending to be Guy. But honestly, as I mentioned, I I could tell there was something wrong with "Guy," so when we found out that he was actually a shape-shifting demon, I wasn't all the surprised. Another thing, I am really not a big fan of love triangles, but that wasn't too prominent in this series, thankfully. Anyway, my point is this: I am SO glad Guy is back! :D He is so funny and protective and so very lovable!
In the last book I was right to worry about some of Satan's powers residing within Megan... she reached the tipping point and now her evil powers are bringing her closer to Satan. Crazy stuff, I tell ya...
I really loved the story and the whole series in general! It was very well written and the story was full of action, suspense, humor, and of course, romance! There was a part towards the end that was very heart-wrenching and I even got teary-eyed :'( But I absolutely LOVED the ending! I thought it was just a perfect ending to this series! I am really going to miss the cast of characters and this series! Highly recommended series if you are looking for a little paranormal romance ;)
Satan is still doing everything he can to force Megan to be his bride in hell. Megan has powers, Satan's powers, within her and as she uses them, her bond to him grows. He's able to bring forth what has been dubbed "Evil Megan" without her even knowing what's happening and boy does Evil M cause a lot of trouble.
There's a new owner of the castle in town, now named Dagenhart castle. It is through this new Satanist leader and his cult that Megan is being "persuaded" to submit to Satan's wants. The cult has managed to turn the entire town against Megan. Mr. Dagenhart is even causing problems with Megan's mom, Suze, and her mom's boyfriend, Tony.
With a plan in mind, a crazy one indeed, Megan trots off to Dagenhart castle to make the proverbial deal with the devil. She will marry Satan in exchange for him leaving her family and friends alone. She no longer needs the Book of Calls to take him down; she just needs to be face-to-face with him.
Will Megan finally send Satan back to hell - without her?
We've made it to the end of The Falling Angels Saga by E. Van Lowe. Its been such an awesome ride and I'm saddened that it's over. I've grown to love both Megan and Guy, as well as Maudrina, Aunt Jaz, Harrison, Orthon, and, of course, Amanda, the hell cat. It hasn't been an easy road for Megan, her earth Angel, Guy, or her friends but they all stick together like friends should. Not everything happens as planned, unfortunately, and things must be sacrificed. Falling is a very exciting final novel in this series.
E. Van Lowe does a fantastic job creating the twists, turns, tense moments in Falling. As in the previous 3 novels, there are gripping emotions that pull you into Megan's world, forcing the reader to identify with each character and their feelings. Even though I'm an adult, I didn't find it hard to connect with the teenage cast of characters and rather enjoyed the antics, drama, and romance that is written on the pages of this novel.
It doesn't matter what age you are ~ everyone should have no problem picking up this series and devouring it as I did.
Review Copy Compliments of author/publisher for an honest review.
I was lucky enough to receive and ARC of this novel, and I tore through it like someone was going to steal it back out of my hot little hands.
As always, Van Lowe's story telling is seamless. We pick up after Megan has had an episode of "Bad Megan" showing up at school in her place, and she learns her alter ego has landed her in a serious pot of hot water. As Megan fights to keep herself from becoming Satan's bride, the twists and turns of the Devil's handiwork make the trials and tribulations of teenage life that much harder to overcome. With the help of those closest to her, Megan uses her smarts and her strengths to find an answer to the seemingly impossible fate before her, and learns a very valuable lesson about honesty and friendship along the way.
All of the saga's characters return, including Aunt Jazz (who is forever my favorite), Harrison (who is always played by Matthew McConaughey in my head) and the frustratingly angelic Rocky (who I will never like), even Matt shows up when we least expect him.
In a sea of dark and gritty YA, E. Van Lowe's Falling Angels Saga gives readers a hopeful tale of love, friendship, and family. One of the things that makes me love this series so much is knowing that when my daughters get older, as they are eager to read about love triangles and the dark parts of this world, I can hand them this series and be confident that they are reading about a strong role model who learns and grows and loves – not just a boy – but her family, her friends, and most importantly, herself.
I love this series! This final book really brought it all together nicely. Though I am sad to see it done. I read through this book pretty fast, absorbing all that was going on, and I sit here now still taking it in. The predictability factor was low, which was good. I had an idea sometimes what would happen but then it never quite came out as I expected. I'm still swooning over Guy, but Orthon and Harrison give him a run for his money too. They show traits that I really loved, and wasn't expecting from either of them. Megan irked me at times. She's smart, but you know when you watch a horror movie, and the girl goes toward the bad sound.... she had that going on and I was screaming at the book like a madwoman. That's exceptional writing happening. To invoke that emotion and have me yelling outright at a character in the book, genius! After reading the books I have though, I expect nothing less from E. I really enjoyed this series as a whole, and think anyone looking for something different, fun and showcasing good vs evil, than give it a go. For those not so sure, give it a go anyway.

The fourth book in the series and it doesn't disappoint. I am sad to see the series and characters go, but I have to say that the whirlwind of a ride that this one goes on is a great one and is worth every teary eyed, smile and frustrating moment. It is an awesome ending and was pretty tricky, cheers to E.
