She’s willing to die to protect her family’s ranch, but he’ll take on every threat just to keep her safe…

Billie
I've poured my heart and soul into keeping my family's ranch running, but someone's determined to take it all away.
When they nearly kill my grandfather, I'm forced to accept help from an unexpected source—a ruggedly handsome biker who rides in like a dark knight on a Harley.
Toxic is everything I shouldn't want, and exactly what I need.
The way he looks at me sets my soul on fire, but I've been burned before.
Can I trust him with my heart when I'm already trusting him with my life?

Toxic
The moment I lay eyes on Billie, lightning strikes—just like my pops always said it would.
She's standing there with a shotgun aimed at my chest, fierce and beautiful, and I know she's the one.
But someone's trying to steal her ranch out from under her, and they're willing to spill blood to do it.
I'll protect what's mine at any cost but convincing this stubborn woman to let down her walls might be the biggest challenge I've ever faced.

As threats escalate and secrets surface, we discover there's more buried on her ranch than just family history.
In a fight for love, land, and legacy, we'll have to decide if the risk of opening our hearts is worth the chance at being together forever.
Sometimes lightning strikes twice—if you're brave enough to ride the storm.

I want to emphasize that I've truly enjoyed every installment featuring these bikers, but there's something about Butcher and Toxic that really draws you in. Not many have experienced Toxic's softer side; while we've seen glimpses of his true nature throughout the series, the moment he saw Billie, it felt like an electric shock went through him. It's worth noting that he's known as the guy who will hook up with anyone who's interested, no matter where he finds himself.
While Butcher is recognized as the club's resident psychopath, each member has their own dark side. Toxic usually keeps his hidden and under control, only allowing it to surface when those he loves are in danger. Unlike Butcher, who seems to take pleasure in the chaos he can create, Toxic rarely lets his darker nature emerge but for her will let that darker side out

Billie has fully committed herself to running the family ranch, but there’s someone determined to strip it away from her. Last year, they had a complete crew of ranch hands, but one by one, they have lost all their employees. Now, it’s just Billie and her grandpa, and her anxiety grows with each passing day. He’s too old for the demanding ranch work, yet he stubbornly refuses to acknowledge it. When her grandfather is almost killed, Billie reluctantly turns to an unexpected ally for assistance

I have to say, this is my top MC series to date! All the characters are so well-crafted and real, it's nearly impossible not to be drawn to each of them.

It's going to be super hard to part ways with this loving, caring, and outspoken crew of misfits and all the fun they bring, along with their fantastic partners.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: heroine in peril
Angst: 😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥

Another great book in the The Viking's Ramage MC: Tuscon Chapter! Cathleen Cole reliably brings us strong FMCs along with a fantastic storyline and tons of action. Toxic is a slow-burn with a bit of angst, mostly surrounding the fact that the MMC is had been a playboy, and the FMC had been burned in the past. He certainly had to work for her to trust him and he more than put the effort in. Toxic also has great girl gang and found family vibes that will leave you with a smile on your face. Can't wait for the next book - we've been waiting for Lockout and Keely from the beginning and I'm sure it won't disappoint!

First Impressions
This book met my expectations and so much more than that. I honestly didn't expect more than a solid reading experience like many books in this series, but this one just HIT different. I am not sure I can even honestly convey how much more this book had in comparison to anything that I have read from this author. I think what I truly loved about this one is how deeper it hit on an emotional level and the way in which it just had so much more substance on every level. And this author knows how to write a good WESTERN!! And I need more like this. So if she has more westerns (let me know because I am all over that)

First Line
The sun was rising over the horizon line as I finished saddling up my horse, Hank.

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Toxic
The Heroine: Billie

Summary
Billie is running her family's ranch all on her own when their ranchhands have slowly disappeared one by one. Now its just her and her grandfather running it. When her grandfather gets attacked, she knows she can't keep doing it on her own. One of her close friends, Keelie, has an in with the local MC and even though Billie knows nothing of this world, she agrees to any help she can get in the meantime. Toxic and Butcher have been asked to go to her ranch and help protect her. Toxic is on the edge, he is tired of the countless women and drunken nights and is aching for something more. He keeps parts of himself protected even from his MC brothers. When he runs into Billie, he falls hard and quick for her. She is unlike any woman he has been with before, and he is more than alpha enough to take her in hand. But there is a danger to Billie and he will do anything it takes to protect her from the storm ahead.

What I Loved
Toxic was brilliant in every way and from what I have read so far, this is one of their best books. I loved everything that blended together in this story. From the angsty tension, to the loveable characters, to the setting on a ranch, and the romance that just hit emotionally deep. From the beginning, I was hooked into the story. This author team is very easy to read, but this book might have been the most engaging and compelling story. The rich setting of a ranch, the tension between these and the suspense plot that builds within the plot delivered in every way.

I couldn't get enough of Toxic and Billie as a couple. They hit just the spot and perfectly. Anyone that knows my reading preferences, knows how picky I am about sassy heroines. Many authors don't seem to write them super well. However, this heroine was just right. Yes she has a temper at times and she just has a very passionate nature, but she isn't mean or vindictive. But even then, Toxic is no beta male lol He has served in the military and has had to make difficult choices for his brothers in the MC. Billie is a honest hardworking cowgirl. She lives a very simple life of working the ranch and taking in lost animals who need a home. But she has a exterior of toughness and has a painful past when it comes to relationships. Toxic is the man that gives her what she needs. She has to have such a exterior for being tough working the hard life on a ranch, and she is mostly alone doing it. She needs the strength that Toxic offers her. And even though she has her own reservations, she also understands that Toxic could be her salvation. Toxic isn't one to just give up easily and he knows that Billie is the one for him, his old lady. But Billie won't make it easy for him, good thing he is a warrior and willing to fight for what matters most. And seeing the way in which Toxic fights for Billie was so SEXY! I loved that he didn't let Billie just run all over him, he stood his own strength against her and it was done in a way that totally worked so well (Tossing her in the trough lol )

What I Struggled With
Nothing much. I just loved just about everything about this book.

Overall View
Toxic was a brilliant masterpiece of the series that delivered in every way. His story was slowly built, with superb chemistry and a love story you will cheer for from beginning to the end.

Honestly was a bit disappointed in this book. So far every other book has captivated me and kept me interested but this one was a struggle to get through. It had a slow storyline and the FMC’s hang up with her one and only previous boyfriend cheating on her setting the pace for all future relationships was a bit overkill and rather annoying. Really I could in a way relate to all the other club brothers feeling antsy about wanting to “dispatch” people because I was feeling antsy about the book finally getting to the action and drama all the others have had so far. I get the book was a nice setup for Lockout and what looks like Warrant coming up in the future but for a book that was suppose to be about Toxic and his old lady it just missed the mark in my opinion when comparing it to the other brothers in the club.

Whilst an okay read and low stakes, the FMC made one guy cheating on her years ago her whole personality.

Almost every second page we had it stuffed down our throats about the MMC been a manwhore. We get it!
No need to mention it more than once.
Would have liked to know the FMC sexual history with the way the MMC's was been thrown at us.

I’m sobbing. This was perfect. Toxic was the complete opposite of what I thought he was going to be like, but it fit his character so well.

Billie was adorable I love how head strong she was, and the ranch ugh I loved it cowboys and bikers what more could you ask for.

The way toxic was patient for her and way going at her pace was so romantic. Their relationship is so healthy, the way he kept assuring her he wouldn’t leave even when she felt like she couldn’t voice her feelings was true love.

The dept of these books is phenomenal and the character development and love stories are so intriguing and captivating.

I can’t wait for Lockout and Kelly’s story.

-MC Romance

-Touch her and you die 💀

Toxic Toxic, boy have I been waiting for this book forever! He is know for being a playboy when it comes to women and someone who loves a too party hard! We knew that it would take the right woman to tame him? Billie was able to do that by holding a shotgun to his junk!

I’m not going to lie I was expecting more push back from Toxic maybe to see more of his playboy ways! However, it was lovely to see how much he regarded his parents relationship and how much he wanted to have a love like that!

Billie is a strong FMC who single handily runs a ranch whilst also looking after her grandpa! She never let her tough situation bring her down and took things one day at a time! However, I felt like her hangup about her one and only boyfriend making it her whole entire personality was a little overkill! I loved the way she made Toxic work for it though, really making him break those walls down.

I loved seeing Toxic and Billie’s love blossom throughout! Whilst, the chemistry was instant it took a long time for things to fall in place. The way toxic took care of Billie when she was sick made my heart melt!
There was also a funny side to him. I’m sorry the way Toxic also dunked Billie to “cool” her down was just too great 🤣!

Overall, a really enjoyable read with the perfect mixture of humour, action, spice! The way the authors set up the next book for Lockout! I’m dying!! I can’t wait for his book and the conclusion to the series!

Toxic = Perfection
Motorcycle Club
Retired Military
Sexy
Easy Going
Protective of his loved ones

Toxic is known in his club as the easy going brother, who is a ladies man and loves to have a good time. He is Butchers best friend and together they get into some shenanigans. He is retired Military and a Rancher. He grew up in Wyoming on his families ranch and still runs it from AZ. When the clubs friend Keely, calls Lockout and asks if they can help her friend Billie out, Toxic is the man for the job. Billie owns and runs a ranch and she’s been having trouble. Her crew quit and no one will work for her. She finds out that a company wants to buy her ranch and they will do anything to get it, even beat her grandfather nearly to death.

When Toxic and Butcher show up on the ranch unannounced, Billie points a shotgun at Toxic, and he instantly falls in love. One small problem though, his charm isn’t working on Billie. She’s jaded after being hurt and doesn’t trust easily, especially a pretty boy like Toxic. Over the next few weeks, Toxic and Butcher help Billie out and keep her safe from Fission Solutions, the company that wants her ranch. Toxic brings the club up to speed and after some digging, they discover that Billie’s ranch is sitting on Uranium deposits.

Together Toxic, Billie and his club brothers from The Viking Range MC fight to save Billie’s ranch and keep her safe in the process.

ARC review - Thanks Cathleen and Frank.

Toxic, Toxic, Toxic what PERFECTION you were! Honestly, Toxic and Butcher have been some of my favourites since the start, and Toxics book didn't disappoint. I loved we got to see this side of him. More than the joke life of the party, ladies' man. We saw how much he cares and loves and will do anything for them.

Toxic and Billie met each other when they needed each other the most. You can see how strong Billie is and how vulnerable she lets herself become to allow Toxic to take some of her load.

You definitely get the found family through this series, and I love how we get all the characters. I love the banter between the guys and how loving the girls are. You automatically feel back at home with these books. As much as I can not wait for Locks book, I am also already mourning this series. It's a series like all of Cathleen and Frank's series that I wish I could read from the start without ever reading them.

I was blown away by how complex Toxic turned out to be. Cathleen always manages to give the guys such great stories but also give them such humanity and relatability.

Toxic was going to need someone who was just as hardheaded as he is. Billie being a woman who grew up with on a ranch very much appeals to Toxic's upbringing and his family back in Wyoming. Seeing Butcher accept things was great because I was worried about how he was going to react to someone taking Toxicxs attention away.

Watching Billie fight her desire for Boone is one that has happened often with the old ladies of Viking's Rampage MC. Seeing the side Billie brings out of Toxic is a shock for all. There is no one better for Toxic or a better storyline.

I have recommended this series to many and will continue to do so along with rereading them.

This has to be my favorite MC series by far! Each and every member are such rich and authentic characters, it’s hard not to fall for each one. I had no idea how much I needed Toxic as a cowboy but it was everything I could have hoped for! His chemistry with Billie was easy from the first meeting. I’m glad that Billie was a fiesty little thing, exactly what Toxic needs to keep him on his toes! I’m glad to see all of the happiness for this whole family. Can’t wait for Keely and Lockout to figure it out 🤞🏻

Toxic and Billie... this is my favorite book out of the Viking's Rampage MC series. I swear it kept me laughing and on the edge of my seat. The funniest parts were the pitchfork and the pigs and Butcher riding a horse during round up. I will definitely be reading this book again. I just loved it!!!

This was a really enjoyable read. Toxic is the loveable playboy but as he's getting older his usual ways are getting tiring. A request to help a friend of a friend leads to a whirlwind of a time.

I can’t finish it. I’ve tried more times then I can count but I cannot find a redeeming quality about toxic. I’ll give it a 2 even though I normally give DNF’s a 1 because I’ve loved this series but this book missed the mark and didn’t hold my interest whatsoever.

She was annoying but I can understand why she gets frustrated given no one seems to involve her in her own farms decisions. And he has so few redeeming qualities I can’t figure out something I like about him

I absolutely loved this book!

As I’ve read this series, I’ve seen bits and pieces of who Toxic really is. He’s been the fuckboi who will fuck whoever is willing, wherever he’s at. In the middle of the clubhouse? Sure, why not? He’s also very rarely sober. He works hard and plays just as hard.

He’s also incredibly good with kids. The way he and Butcher have helped the corruption of Priest’s girls are always hilarious and touching. He’s super protective of all the kids and has no qualms about teaching them every dirty trick he knows.

In this book, we finally get to see the real Toxic. I’m so very happy that he found his “One”. It happened just like his father said. One look at her and it was like he was struck by lightning. He just knew. He calls her “Lightning” and I’m going to presume this is why.

Billie is from a rancher family, through and through. This is the only thing she’s wanted to do with her life. Her mom took off, as she didn’t want to live away from the city. Her dad died when she was 17. So, it’s only been her and her grandpa for several years now.

For the last 6 months, someone has been targeting her ranch. Convincing all her workers they’d be better off working elsewhere, sending harassing letters, etc. The final straw was when she found her grandpa beaten, when she had been off fixing fences. She calls her best friend,Keely, and tells her what happened. Keely tells her she’s sending help and to trust her.

When Billie gets back from the hospital, first thing she does is point her shotgun at Toxic’s groin. He and Butcher had been sent to help her. She’s been hurt before, so doesn’t trust easily. Toxic has his work cut out for him.

I will say that her owning a ranch, completes a circle, for me, about Toxic’s path. He owns his family ranch and does all the behind the scenes stuff, while a cousin takes care of the day to day details. That he’s got another ranch to work on, and live on, is the complete circle. He can do what he loves and not have to leave his Chapter to do it. It’s the perfect solution.

This review is already so long. I could go on and on about everything I love about this story.

Let me summarize, the character progression of Toxic is amazing. He’s always been the happy-go-lucky party fuckboi. In this, we get to see him as he truly is. Billie is a refreshing character. She’s everything Toxic has ever needed and wanted, but never knew that he did. She needs help, but isn’t helpless.

Overall, this book is easily my most favorite of the series, so far. It gave me everything I needed for Toxic. Lockout has some really big shoes to fill, but I don’t think that’s a problem. I’m eagerly awaiting Lockout and Keely’s story. In the meantime, I’ll probably be reading this series again and again.

Highly recommend this author and this series. Absolutely loved this book, so much.

Oh, Boone Sutton...I just love you. You can ride a motorcycle AND a horse
I never once planned on seeing his girl be a farm girl but man, oh man, these two were perfect.
I 100% loved that Keely sent the Vikings Billie's way when she needed help against threats to her farm and her grandpa. She's the headstrong girl and you can see that how she just plows ahead every day (regardless that all her ranch hands have left) and hunkers down to make sure everything is taken care of. Everyone is taken care of. And her pup I love how Toxic is like 'yup this fits. crazyass dog to go with this crazyass farm girl' She definitely let her guard down and learned to be vulnerable with Toxic.
Toxic! I was very excited to see the side of him outside of the club. We had got glimpses throughout the series about him running the financial side of his family's ranch and I'm so glad that this book mainly took place on Billie's farm. And man...this man didn't disappoint. He knew immediately that Billie was the girl for him and never waivered. He knew he was going to have to earn her trust and took that challenge head on.
Butcher--I still love you 1000% and you're my favorite. Watching him on a farm and being terrified of the animals had me giggling. But he got to let his psycho side come out and play
There's still the big found family that I'm going to miss when Lockout finally gets his head out of his ass with his book. I loved watching all these children come out to the farm and watching the guys turn a complete 180 from deadly motorcycle members to devoted head over heels puppy dogs. And Daryl Sutton I'm so happy that he made a bigger appearance here and his relationship with Billie made my heart smile.

This is the 10th book in this phenomenal series and this is Toxic and Billie's story.
This is a well written action packed story, with family, friendships, emotions, drama, danger, suspense, intrigue, challenges, loyalty, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love which all leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, and captivating addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

ARC Review:

Toxic by Cathleen Cole & Frank Jensen is the tenth book in The Viking's Rampage MC: Tucson Chapter series. I discovered this series and author duo last month and was obsessed. These books are amazing and I was so excited when I got an ARC of the newest book in this series. I had high expectations for Toxic’s story and it those expectations were met! I devoured this book! The characters and the storyline were so well written! I love everything about Cathleen Cole’s writing. This series has to be read in order to fully understand the storylines.

Billie was perfect for Toxic! She was determined, feisty, and warm hearted. I loved her character from the beginning. She never let her tough situation get her down and took things one day at a time. I respected and admired her determination to keep her ranch going. Toxic has been one of my favorite characters since book 1. I loved getting his POV and learning more about his character. I fell more in love with his character in his book. We got to see a whole different side to Toxic that he usually keeps hidden. Billie and Toxic had great chemistry and I loved watching Toxic help Billie overcome her trust issues. These two are one of my favorite couples in the series. I am so looking forward to the next book in the series, Lockout!

When you read a series like this, with many characters, and you're nearing the end, you've had time to get attached to the characters who haven't yet had their own tome, you can imagine what their story will be, and you really hope for the best. And that's exactly the case with Toxic.

And once again I was pleasantly surprised by the story the authors have given us for Toxic. It's everything I imagined it would be and more.
Although we've known Toxic since the beginning of the series, here we learn more about him and discover a new side of him.
And what about Billie! She's perfect for Toxic and he knows it as soon as he sees her. I love the fact that he has to work to make her fall in his arms, which is exactly what this charmer needed.

The humor is always there and let me tell you, I giggled more than once during my reading. The action, the angst is perfectly balanced and everything builds throughout the story. And the tension between Billie and Toxic? Chef's kiss!!!!!

Cathleen Cole and Frank Jensen never disappoint. No matter what we imagine for the characters, they always surpass my expectations. Each book is as good or better than the last.
All that's left now is to discover what these authors have in store for us in Lockout, to bring a fitting end to a series that's been incredible from the start.

Toxic is definitely a favorite of mine from this series!

1000% Toxic & Butcher were my favorite men in this whole series, Hush too! He’s a little older but the man is so soothing, strong, and sexy as ever! Billie though, in the beginning when she was hot and cold towards Toxic, I found myself wanting to slap some sense into the girl more than twice. Lol. Seriously though. Toxic, even when he’s a player, is still such a good guy.. he treats everyone good, so respectful, love him! And his dad, every time he was in this series I just loved him. I would love to see Daryl and Toxic’s mother’s story, in my opinion would be such a good spin off story! I really like that they added Isla, Butchers woman in this story, she’s so funny and unhinged I found myself laughing just about every time she came up. The spice in these stories is always good, probably a 3/5 in the spice department.. in my personal opinion anyway. But everyone gauges that differently. Lockout’s story is next, couple months away, and ugh I can’t wait! I really do love this series and I really am so happy to have read it! 😍🌶️🌶️🌶️
