Ok, so good and bad, but overall, I liked this novel. The issues I had, I think, were very much me. There were just a couple of things that took me out of the story, but that may be because there are logical parts of my brain I just can't turn off.
First, I will say this story was super sweet. It did a great job of being very inclusive of all pack members and their relationships with each other, not only the FMC. Also, it is very well laid out what you are getting in the beginning. A very sweet story with a few OTT WTF moments due to another woman's (not "other" woman) drama. It hit the right notes with a lot of those.
The things that got me were enough to GET me, IYKWIM. The gun toting omega. I come from a gun toting state(even if I myself am not a fan), and who in the world waves a gun around so freely? The first time she pulled it out, I thought I read it wrong and went back. The first time shots were fired, my eyebrows hit my hairline. Also, after the hospital, who thinks the first thing they want to do after a few days of giving birth, is to head to the coffee/sandwich shop to take their baby that is days old so they can get out amd have a bite? FR, here, people.
And I think Sweets is possibly the worst endearment I've read. There, I said it. The cringe took me out of the story every time I read it.
