At some point. Women have to take responsibility for allowing a man to do them dirty. Beast cheating on Lisa throughout their whole five year relationship and had a baby. When Lisa accepted the fact that he cheated and had a child with someone else. She still stayed with him when she should've left. Beast didn't have respect for her or their relationship. Finally fed up. Lisa left after learning about him cheating with Melody. There's nothing wrong with being protective of your child but Bella parents especially her mother Zoe was too overprotective, too overbearing, and tried to dictate every part of her life although Bella was grown. Moving back to Chicago to be closer to her mother side of the family. Bella was on her s**t though. She was a go getter. I love her and her cousin Dominique relationship. Dominique don't play about Bella and that's why she warned her about Beast but Bella didn't care. Lisa being Dominique best friend definitely lead to some messiness and had Lisa feeling some type of way seeing Beast and Bella together. It definitely affected the friendship between Lisa and Dominique. I have a feeling the dude Michael Lisa is messing with. Purposely got into it and shot at Beast on purpose. It's a helluva coincidence that Lisa is messing with dude. Prince and Dominique seemed to have a decent relationship until somebody from Prince past showed up handing her a baby shower invitation. The way this ended left me shocked. Somebody has kidnapped Beast daughter and Bella found out some disturbing news about herself and her parents

I really wanted to DNF this book, BUT I needed to see it through just to know if Beast made a turn around.
Beast is a manwhore through and through. He’s cheated on his longtime gf so much, he’s even had an outside baby. But this time she’s done. It’s a small world when he meets Bella the cousin of his sister in law, who’s just relocated back to Chicago from Cali. She’s a good girl, a virgin, and she has big dreams.
The ending had me shook.
Things I loved about this book:
The relationship between Bella and her cousins. The way Natalie and Aaron show up for their kids.
Things I absolutely despised about this book:
“Built like Megan Thee Stallion before the liposuction, he was in love with her body, from head to toe, and he hadn’t even seen her naked yet.”
WAS THAT EVEN NECESSARY?! 😒 That lil shade threw me off.
Also, a lot of the back and forth between Bella and Beast could’ve been avoided if Bellas just used her voice and told Cortez NO. Also, she was always too scared to stand on her feet and tell her mother to back off.
All in all, good story…I may read the second book just to see how it plays out.

Whew! Patrice Balark did not come to play with this one. Beast is everything—dangerous, devoted, and downright addictive. And Bella? That girl got heart. The way she loved him, challenged him, and made him better? Top-tier storytelling. Their chemistry had me fanning myself like I was sitting in front of a box fan in July!

This book was more than what expected not to be. Beast was a mess wanting his cake and eating it as well, so happy Lisa's true side came out concerning his daughter because how can you say you love the man but not willing to interact or accept the fact that he's doing the right thing and being a father all around and not just financially like most, but she is delusional I knew she was messing around with that guy that shot at them while at the club there were too many signs suggesting it, but then how you want to fight over a.man you said don't respect you and not willing to commit just funny.
I applaud Bella for still holding unto her purity, and that e what Beasts mother told him thatethe.kind.of female he.needed but he has a.lot of growing up still because he has a.daughter and someone he.claims to be in love with not just having love for them. Now the cliffhanger is just mind 💥💥, can't wait to see what her pushy controlling parents will have to say about her discovery which would explain why her mother was so against she.moving back.

Baby Lisa is good cause once a baby was brought into the picture and it wasn’t by me I would have skedaddle. I like Bella and her clique. Her parents not so much. Pince and beast is funny. Lisa don’t wanna leave cause he got money but let’s see. Domonique and prince got it. 6’9 300 lbs I definitely need a visual of Mr beast himself 😋😋 I love Bella and beast relationship already. Her mom dad and Cortez getting on my nerves oh we adding Lisa too. I hope prince ain’t cheating on domo. Man prince just like his brother domo better leave him cause no ma’am. I’m crying so much cause man the cousins was young but not young enough to realize they aunt wasn’t pregnant. Then beast daughter missing I feel like it’s Lisa and her man then it could be destiny mom omg can’t wait for pt 2. Great read, read it in one sitting

What a cliff hanger!
Let me start by saying, I dont know where that ending came from but bayyybyy...my mouth was hanging open. I guess thats why the mom was acting the way she was, trying to keep Bella so close and out of Chicago! I like Dominique character and im really feeling sorry for her, i thought Prince was better. I hope Lisa ole delusional self and Tiera bad excuse for a parent get whats coming to them. Beast had me side-eyeing him to see if he was gonna fold but he is holding up after that one slip up. I can only remember one name slip up but it in no way took away from the story. Waiting on part two because people thought they saw a beast before but I think a even bigger beast is coming...and his family wont try to stop him.

This book was great. It was a good read that wasn’t drawn out too long. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves romance with a little hood. Domo irked my nerves, being low-key messy and shady at times. Bella parents were so overbearing, I could stand them, they were steadily pushing their daughter away by doing things behind her back she didn't agree with. I just wanted to wring Bella neck she was so green, and she let her parents get away with everything instead of having a backbone and putting her foot down to them. I knew her parents had some skeletons in their closet. Lisa and Mike just started a war they ain't gonna win. Kidnapped? Secrets are revealed in more ways than one. But I need part 2 asap!

makes no sense
This was ok enough for me to decide to read part 2, but let me just say the male character Beast was stupid. No street dude moves the way he does. No discretion at all knowing you have a whole child out there. Like how u moving the way you do with no regards to your fam or daughter?
Aside from that there was nothing really interesting going on, all the good stuff happened in the last chapter of the book. Now we ended on a cliffhanger and I don’t know if part 2 is out yet or not. 🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️ if no I won’t be waiting for it, but if I come across it I will read it.

You already know what it is when Patrice Balark drop that heat. Beast is bae and I love Bella for him. She makes him a better man although he still a Beast. Whoever had the audacity to snatch his daughter gonna find out just how much of Beast he is. I love the bond between Bella and her cousin Domo. Prince done fked up and Domo may not be willing to forgive him this time. Bella's mama got some explaining to do. Now I see why she wants her to move back to Cali and the reason she snatched her from the cameras. Part two gonna be lit and I'm here for it.❤❤

That ending though!
Woah I wasn’t expecting that ending! I’m hoping Bella finds her happy ending because the way her parents, Cortez and Beast have put her through she definitely needs it! I can’t wait to see what happens next with her. I started to like Beast and it looked like he was slowly changing but with this Destiny being him situation I just know he’s really about to turn into a beast. For some reason I feel it can be Lisa, the guy from the park or his child’s mother who Destiny is with! I can’t wait for part 2!

awesome book
This was amazing. Bella’s parents well really her mother had me a in a chokehold the way she was acting. She wanted to control her daughter’s life every step of the way. I’m proud of Bella for finally stepping up and saying something to her mother. I loved the cousin relationship Bella and Dominique has. Beast was crazy too. I loved how Domo didn’t care that Bella found love in someone who was dating her so called best friend. Lisa was a trip she really was jealous of his daughter and I didn’t like that one bit either. I can’t wait for part 2.

She thinks Beast is jealous of her and her new man. Did she not forget he shot him, or did she Beast to get shot at? If Tiara took Destiny she might as kiss her life good bye. What will happen between Dominique and Prince? Girl, because that's not a flex to invite the main girlfriend to the baby shower knowing you're going to be taking care of the baby by herself?

Now Patrice, you know that you messed our heads up with that ending. I knew it was a reason her mom and daddy were so overprotective, but I didn't think that. I am glad Bella and Beast met because that is who she needs in her life. I hope Domo and Prince can get back on good terms because I like their relationships. I hope Tiara got her baby and not Lisa man because I feel sorry for the both of them. But it was a great read, and I'm patiently waiting for part 2.

I love Bella and beast together. They make a cute couple. The way she changed him and has her own bag is great for them. I hope domo and prince get back together, they are great together. Lisa need to continue to move on with her new beau. I hope destiny is found and safe. I came wait to read part 2 of this book. I am anxious to know what happened.

Woahhhhhhhhh, that wasn't an ending I was expecting. I had a feeling Bella momma was hiding something when she didn't want Bella in front of cameras at the fundraiser. Cortez needs to get a life, but I think he's a part of some type of scheme her parents got going on. I pray Tiara is the one who took Destiny and not Lisa or her dude. Woahhhhhhhhh, that wasn't an ending I was expecting. I had a feeling Bella momma was hiding something when she didn't want Bella in front of cameras at the fundraiser. Cortez needs to get a life, but I think he's a part of some type of scheme her parents got going on. I pray Tiara is the one who took Destiny and not Lisa or her dude. Omg
What in the world. Talk about a cliffhanger, not in a million and one years did I see that coming. I had a speculation but the author came said no no not even close. These characters are a hot mess. They give you crazy a dose of love and lots did you just say that. Patrice gives #1 page turner as always, keeping you in suspense until part 2. Good job

The story flowed from the beginning and I’m speechless about this cliffhanger. I loved the relationship between Dominique and Bella. Her parents were overbearing and annoying. I can’t wait to find out all the secrets that need to come to light. Great job as always !!!

Omg this book is so crazy all these secrets that's coming out and the ending oh no that's probably why her parents acting the way they are and who took destiny beast about to tear the city up for his baby things about to get real ugly and Lisa don't know what she just started either I still think she set all of that up but the truth going to come out soon

I loved Bella she was so sweet and kind and the Beast was crazy about her. Bella's parents was so overbearing and controlling it finally makes sense why the mom was so controlling. Beast had a deadbeat baby mother and a crazy ex. I just knew Dominique and Prince was going to make man woman can be really vindictive and cruel 😢.... The ending had me speechless 🙊 hurry up part 2.

Omg see this is the true definition of you never get caught up on people taking care of you. Her own parents. I wasn't expecting this ending but baby this book was truly one of a kind. I loved every aspect of this book. This book characters made plenty of sense also. What a way to write a book where it leaves you wanting more.

Oh my now we know why her parents was hard on keeping her in California and away from the family in Chicago they took someone,s baby and moved across the country. If they both lawyers why take someone else. Now her man child is missing and she got a real family out there looking for her for over twenty years.

That cliffhanger, whew I’m ready for book 2. Dom stood on business behind her cousin Bella. Family was everything with her. Dom definitely was ready to go to war behind her cousin. Zoie was a handful, trying to live Bella life for her when they were full of secrets. Beast about to go into beast mode behind Bella and nothing and nobody will be able to stop him

I enjoyed this storyline of a wild and crazy guy becoming interested in a sweet and extremely focused girl. In spite of all the craziness surrounding Bella and Jayceon, this love blossoms and makes me smile. With war on the horizon, what will happen to this love and will the Beast his revenge and his daughter back. Checking back in to book number 2!
