The Morelli Sisters #2

Say It Isn’t So

Rate this book
Let me tell you the story of how I got stuck in a love triangle with the one man my father forbade from ever seeing me.

It all started two years ago when I was introduced to Rina Blum and Knox Rhodes. At the time, Rina and Knox were dating, but then she broke up with him to pursue her dreams.

Knox and I could’ve had something then, but fast forward to present day and I learned my father had more than a little something to do with keeping us apart. And I never would’ve been the wiser had Knox and I not run into each other at the airport as we both headed to London for fashion week.

Oh, and add in Rina, who also happened to be at London Fashion Week because things weren’t complicated enough.

Basically, it was a tangled web that I wished I wasn’t caught up in, but the longer I let things go on for, the worse it got. I didn’t think I would find myself falling for Knox, but alas I was, and I wasn’t ready to let him walk away. Again. So I, Bianca Morelli, did what any rational person in my situation would have done—defied my father and ended up in a love triangle.

I know what you’re thinking, say it isn’t so, but it is, and this is my story.

Say It Isn’t So by Dani Ryan delivers a complex, tangled romance to say the least.

𝘛𝘸𝘰 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘨𝘰, 𝘉𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘒𝘯𝘰𝘹 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘙𝘪𝘯𝘢. 𝘍𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘥𝘢𝘺, 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘒𝘯𝘰𝘹, 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘦, 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬. I found this story unique and I haven’t read anything similar to it. One of the main tropes of this novel is a love triangle, but don’t let this intimidate you because it was well made and it actually seemed realistic. Further, the characters are well-developed and their actions and words match up perfectly with their personalities. Bianca is feisty and she’s a real fashion princess, and Knox is such a sweetheart; a true golden retriever MMC. 🫶🏼 Another thing I enjoyed was that the reader is set up to be seriously frustrated with Rina to just get on with her life and with Knox (sweet, sweet Knox) for not being able to choose. The feelings were there, so to speak. I also adored Bianca’s relationship with her family. The dynamic between the Morelli sisters is everything and I can’t wait to read about the other sisters as well.

“𝐵𝓊𝓉 𝒟𝒶𝒹𝒹𝓎 𝐼 𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒 𝒽𝒾𝓂!”

One might think that a love triangle was the only thing standing in the way of true love in this romance, but no, of course it also includes some forbidden love since the main characters come from two separate worlds. The choice of creating multiple central conflicts in the novel, as well as alternating POV:s are further reasons as to why this novel is so unique. Usually, we would just get the POV:s from the main characters in a romance, but I enjoyed this as it adds to the story and the characters’ depth.

“𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘨𝘶𝘺, 𝘒𝘯𝘰𝘹, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐’𝘮 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘥𝘰 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘥 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘶𝘴𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘴, 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘶𝘴. 𝘐’𝘮 𝘴𝘰 𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘵”

I had high hopes for this book, but it ultimately fell flat for me. The book felt unnecessarily long, and the plot dragged in several places. I wasn’t a fan of the love triangle, and the ending left me confused…Did we really need to end with Rina? I thought we were done with her. That said, the setup for the next books was well done, so I’m holding out hope that the rest of the series will be better.

Where to even begin?! This book was full of fun, heartwarming moments while mixed with angst and some heartbreak as well.

We've met Bianca in Don't Tell Me Twice, the story before this one and from that moment I was ready to get her story. She's sassy and outgoing and makes me want to be a fashion baddie living in New York. Knox moves to New York with his fashion aspiring girlfriend to escape a crappy childhood in small town Minnesota. Rina, his girlfriend, gets the chance of a lifetime by meeting Bianca which turns into the Morelli family helping Knox and Rina get their big breaks in the big city. But tragedy strikes when one, Rina gets what she's dreamed of and ditches Knox! Then two, Bianca's dad steps in and forbids Knox to see is daughter or he will ruin his career and fires him. But we know it can't stop there and years later fate is on their side and brings Knox and Bianca back together, and unfortunately, Rina too.

Knox and Bianca have stolen my heart and I loved how perfect they fit. He was the ultimate golden retriever and just wanted her to be happy. The love triangle here was done so well and I was raging at Rina to get on with her life! It's always a great read for me when I am fully feeling the emotions towards the characters. Which I was also feeling towards Angelo for trying to tell his adult child who she could and couldn't be with! The fun banter between the sisters in this story had me giggling so much and I love their closeness. This book is written in multiple POVs and I Dani did it so well that I think it made the story that much better. It was easy to follow along and never felt confusing and I really love when an author does that. This was also her intro into the spicy world and she did it so tastefully and it really gave a fun element to the story, especially the fun innuendos.

I can't wait to see where the rest of the Morelli sisters take us!

Thank you Dani for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review!

Say It Isn’t So is the second book in Dani Ryan’s The Morelli Sisters series. I adored the first book in the series, Don’t Tell Me Twice, so I was so excited to read this book. This book focuses Bianca, the feisty Morelli sister who had no plans to settle down with one man. The story is full of humor, friendship, family, forbidden love, a love triangle, and romance.

After two years apart, Bianca runs into her old coworker Knox at London Fashion Week. As they reconnect, the sparks that simmered under the surface years ago come to life again. Bianca and Knox feel drawn to one another but pressure from her father and his ex-girlfriend keep Bianca and Knox firmly in the friendzone. Unfortunately, Bianca and Knox can’t stay away from each other and the friendship lines start to blur.

I loved how Dani balanced Bianca and Knox’s attraction to one another with their solid friendship. The story is slow burn as Bianca and Knox are so careful to place their relationship/friendship before their physical attraction. It was so sweet. It was probably one of my favorite parts of the story.

Knox was such a gentleman and tried so hard to always do the right thing. I did get annoyed with him with one of his decisions, but it ended up making the ending even sweeter. He was so swoony.

Bianca was fabulous. I adored her relationship with her sisters. It was so fun to see Bianca change and grow throughout the story. Her character arc was so good, especially how she handles her father.

I don’t usually like love triangles, but I actually enjoyed this one because it didn’t feel wishy washy. It was really well done and really showed the character of both Bianca and Knox. Knox is a cinnamon roll in a hot body. He was seriously so swoony (yes, I am saying this again, because it so true.)

Thank you to the author for the gifted copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

TW: This book contains sexual content and profanity. Closed door modifications are found in the content notes.

Say It Isn't So is book 2 in the Morelli Sisters series; it can read fine as a standalone. It is a forbidden love triangle type (not a full on one, you'll see once you read it) romance set in the fashion industry world. I thought it was very engaging and interesting to learn about everything that goes on and get to travel around Europe for fashion week. The author did a great job at setting the scenes and describing the events. The different POV’s of each different character at the right times gave an added layer to the thoughts of everyone and how they were portraying the events. It never felt too much, it was smooth and flowed nicely.

The characters were very well developed, they were complex and had multiple layers to uncover which I truly appreciated. I did get frustrated by how much Knox was too nice at times and wouldn't put his foot down with Rina. The fact that Bianca was so mature though truly made up for it. I really loved her character. She was the star of this book for me. I liked how their relationship progressed even through the slow burn where I just wanted them to BE TOGETHER!!! It added so much tension and angst between them which I enjoyed.

Overall, it's a fun, sweet, slow burn romance that kept me engaged throughout with some colorful characters and a great setting.

Say It Isn’t So
A Novel Written By Dani Ryan
Fiction - Romance
Published December 31, 2024

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the second book in the series. Each story focuses on one of the four Morelli Sisters. The Morelli sisters are Italian Americans from a close knit family. Each sister works for the fashion magazine, Bellissima, founded by their parents.

Say It Isn’t So is Bianca’s love story with Knox Rhodes. Bianca and Knox were strangers who became friends and then lovers. Knox has an ex-girlfriend who left him suddenly to fulfill her dream to be a fashion designer. After finding success, Rina wants Knox back. Bianca’s father, Angelo, throws another wrench into this relationship by forbidding her from getting involved with Knox. Bianca now finds herself in a forbidden, complicated love triangle.

It takes a while for Bianca and Knox to find their happiness. The sexual energy and tension between the two jumps off the pages. This story takes place in the world of fashion. I liked the way the author broke the fourth wall, and the characters spoke to readers.

“We’re going to figure this out, right? It’s complicated, but aren’t the best things in life a challenge?”

Say It Isn't So is the second book in a series called The Morelli Sisters and focuses on the youngest sister Bianca aka Bibi and Knox Rhodes.

The story is really good and includes bantern, love triangle, character development and a background story that makes you feel for the MCs.

Bibi and Knox was easy to like and I enjoyed reading their story a lot because it gave me a will they won't they vibe. The book had me also rooting for Bibi when it came to the love triangle because I wasn't a fan of the ex-girlfriend and how she changed.

Something else I liked with this book except for the story, MCs and tropes is that it had four pov sometimes. The main pov's are from Bibi and Knox but we also get to read a little bit from Angelo (Bibi's father) and Rina (Knox's ex-girlfriend) povs.

This book is perfect for readers that likes following tropes:

💗 One Bed
💗 Forbidden Romance
💗 But Daddy I Love Him
💗 Love Triangle
💗 She's Mine
💗 Slow Burn
💗 Close Proximity

I highly recommend this book especially if you have read the first one that is called Don't Tell Me Twice despite the fact that this is a stand-alone series since each book is based on a different sister.

Thank you so much for letting me read this amazing book and I can't wait to get to know more about the next sister, Allie, and how her story gonna turn out especially after the ending of this book.

Well this is the love triangle I didn’t know I needed so much. This was so much different then everything I’ve read in awhile! The story line immediately roped me in.

Two people in love escaping a tragic past and small town to move to the big city, but it definitely doesn’t work out at all like they planned.

I loved the amount of POVs we got in this story! It was so nice to get a little from each character and this had so many layers.

Knox is seriously THE BEST you can not prove me wrong and he deserves the world. This was a slow burn but it was totally worth it! And even with the love triangle there was no miscommunication here which I loved!

This is the second book in the Morelli Sisters series. We briefly met Bianca in book 1, Don’t Tell Me Twice, and I was so excited to get more of her story. She is a fun, feisty fashionista with a ton of sass and I absolutely loved her! Knox is an irresistible golden retriever that wants to make Bianca happy.

This was such a fun love story. I loved the banter and closeness of the Morelli sisters and the love triangle was done perfectly! This was also Dani Ryan’s first spicy novel but it didn’t show. It was so tasteful and added so much to the story.

If you like a romantic comedy with a forbidden romance, love triangle and a good slow burn, you need to read this book! It is available now on Kindle Unlimited!! 🩵🩵🩵

Say It Isn't So by Dani Ryan delivers a heartfelt, layered romance that skillfully balances family dynamics, personal growth, and second chances. In this sequel to Don't Tell Me Twice, we finally get Bianca Morelli's story-a vibrant, sassy New Yorker with big dreams and a complicated love life.

The story follows Knox Rhodes, a sweet yet determined "golden retriever" type who moves to New York with his ambitious girlfriend, Rina, to escape his difficult upbringing. When Rina chooses her career over their relationship, Knox crosses paths with Bianca, sparking a connection that's quickly thwarted by Bianca's overbearing father. Years later, fate reunites them, reigniting their chemistry-and reopening old wounds, especially with Rina's unexpected return.

Ryan masterfully employs multiple POVs, giving depth to Knox, Bianca, Rina, and even Bianca's father, Angelo. This choice adds complexity to the narrative and enhances the emotional stakes. Bianca and Knox's dynamic shines, from their playful banter to their tender, slow-burn romance. The love triangle, though a tricky trope, is handled thoughtfully, creating tension without overshadowing the story's heart.

The Morelli sisters' close bond adds a delightful layer of humor and warmth, while the overarching themes of self-discovery and following your heart resonate deeply.
The novel also weaves in tasteful spice, elevating the emotional connection without overpowering the plot.

At over 500 pages, this is an epic romance worth the investment. With witty dialogue, relatable characters, and a story that spans years of heartbreak and healing, Say It Isn't So is a captivating read. Fans of slow-burn romance, complex family relationships, and a touch of drama will not want to miss this. I can't wait to see what's next for the Morelli sisters!

Before I begin, I would like to thank Dani Ryan for allowing me to read her upcoming book, Say It Isn’t So, which is the second book of her The Morelli Sisters series and will be available on Amazon on December 31st, 2024.

Two years ago, Bianca Morelli met Rina Blum and Knox Rhodes. At the time, Rina and Knox were dating until Rina broke up with him to pursue her dreams in the fashion industry. Bianca and Knox became friends and then later lost connection. Unbeknownst to her, Bianca’s dad caused the separation, ending any possibility of their situationship to become something more. It’s not until Bianca meets Knox again present-day during London’s fashion week that she finds out, and her feelings for him grow stronger. Add the reappearance of Rina, and Bianca finds herself in the middle of a forbidden love triangle. Can Bianca have the courage to fight for a romantic relationship with Knox despite her father’s disapproval? Better yet, can Knox decide who has his heart, and will he listen to what it wants?

This book was wonderful. You have Bianca, a passionate, hardworking, sassy, beautiful and kind young woman that works in advertising at her family’s company and adores her loved ones. You have Knox, a determined, sweet, funny, considerate, and handsome young man that grew up poor in the same town as Rina and wants to have a better life in the city. I loved the interactions between the Morelli sisters, including the parts where Frankie and Dom (two important men in their lives) weighed their opinions on stuff. I usually don’t like love triangles (2010s young adult romance trends scarred me badly) but the author wrote this one with compassion beautifully. The multiple POVs helped me understand the perspectives of each of the characters that were represented and made the people more complex and relatable. I cheered on Bianca and Knox healing from their pasts to define what they themselves wanted throughout the story. Overall, if you like funny banter, great family dynamics, fashion, complex characters, and engaging forbidden-love / love-triangle romance with a bit of spice (a few open-door scenes), then I would highly recommend this book. I've been so excited for this next Morelli sister's story and wasn't disappointed! I love Bianca and everything about her. She's strong, she's confident, but she's still real, with insecurities and weaknesses. Knox I absolutely loved too, his whole personality and everything he stood for was excellent and they really made a great couple, but he didn't half drive me mad when he couldn't make his mind up haha! Being on Dani Ryan's street team I got to discuss and see other people's thoughts on love triangles beforehand and lots of people were saying they don't like it when it's the guy can't decide because he comes off slimy or like a player. I think it wouldn't matter the gender, it all just depends on the reason they can't decide. But I'd like to clarify that actually his reasons did make a lot of sense. Both women knew what was going on the whole time so there was nothing slimy in that sense and nothing happened with either of them while there was any uncertainty on who he'd choose, so not even a whiff of cheating. It was just a bit infuriating when he couldn't decide, and I did briefly feel like he led Rina on when he knew he wanted Bianca but felt bad for Rina, but that didn't last long at all. I was actually shocked really early on when we got some Rina POV, and I know this is a love triangle story so she played an important role, but at first I really liked her and obviously knowing this was Bianca's story it was obvious who he'd choose so I don't want to be sympathising with Rina. However that wasn't an issue in the end and I thought the added POV was really excellent, and the Angelo (Bianca's father) POV later on too. I do love it in general when we get extra POVs rather than having to guess what people are thinking at crucial moments.
I seriously loved the setting of the European fashion weeks and it was so cool that I could picture the Milan places now that we live there. I REALLY need to know where it was that Bianca wanted to take Knox for lunch though because I wanted to go! (Unless it was some really expensive fancy place, you never know with the Morellis haha.) But the changing scenery and scenarios was so much fun. I can't believe we're still not getting Maria's story next but I'm super excited for Allie's book nonetheless, she has the potential to be my favourite sister!

The Authors Dani & Ryan have written a compelling and lyrically mind-blowing romance, this was an ideal amalgamation of romantic temptation and comforting kindness! Her story glides perfectly, an arrangement of words that bring her absolutely compelling characters to life! The only drawback reading this book was reaching the last page far too soon even though it is enough thick! You know I love a book—and the authors —when I can't help but take my pen and annotate every perfectly constructed phrase, and that's exactly what I did with the magnificent Say It Isn't So!
.
I devoured it with unrelenting devotion absolutely riveted by Dani & Ryan's originality! Dani & Ryan's  humorous and spicy scenes are a total treat, filling each page with a spark of cleverness. Each sentence is a love writing to love itself, with a warmth that draws you in and won't let go! Dani & Ryan's Say It Isn't So is an interesting and unforgettable story that swept me to a world of humor, charm, and swoon-worthy romance. It's a masterpiece of heart and fire that left me completely idyllic!
.
Through Say It Isn't So, Dani & Ryan presents an entertaining story about forbidden love, fashion week, and the burning passion of a love triangle. From the beginning of the chapter, Bianca Morelli's voice draws you into her complicated world, where family loyalty competes with Knox Rhodes' seductive pull. The plot design is fantastic, crafting together moments of angst, romance, and humor to keep you completely engaged. Bianca's charm, along with her shamelessly feisty character, brings the pages to life, and Knox's golden retriever energy makes the fascinating pair to Bianca's personality
.
Say It Isn't So is a powerful, unputdownable read that carefully manages elegance with chaos. Dani & Ryan's step into spice works flawlessly, delivering heat without overshadowing the story's emotional core! With its interesting characters, intriguing twists, and electric tension, this story presents the pleasure of forbidden love and the fortitude required to resist expectations! If you're looking for a mind-blowing romantic comedy with all the drama, arrogance, and swoon your heart can handle, this is the book for you!!!

🩵Say It Isn’t So
👗Dani Ryan
🩵coming December 31st!

This is the second book in the Morelli Sisters series (DTMT, book one, is in my top reads of all time!) which centers around Bianca Morelli, who we’ve already met (and loved!) in the previous installment!

✨ I KNEW Bianca was going to be such a fun main character as she brings all the sass and fashionista energy you can imagine! I have a passion for fashion myself and love sewing 🪡 (when I was younger, I dreamed of becoming a fashion designer one day haha) so I find myself relating to Bianca’s character so much!

🩵We also have leading (and irresistible may I add) man, Knox Rhodes! Bianca meets Knox along with Rina Blum, his then girlfriend at the time who was an aspiring fashion designer herself. Rina eventually chose her career over Knox, leaving him in the blink of an eye.

✨You may think that would be perfect timing for Knox and Bianca to test out their chemistry right? Well, think again! Bianca’s father had much different ideas in my mind when it came to the almost lovebirds which led to keeping them apart.

🩵Fast forward two years later, our beloved and BiBi and Knox reunite at the airport headed for London to attend Fashion Week! After reconnecting with each other and enjoying their time together, they get an even bigger surprise to find out none other than Rina Blum is also in attendance for fashion week. Oh and this time, she’s ready to win back the heart of the guy she dumped out of nowhere!

✨With Knox choosing between who he used to be in his past and who he wanted to be in his future, between two headstrong confident women who were both set on getting their way, this love triangle (no cheating!) read was done so exceptionally well bringing life to these three characters and an incredible depth to the story. Bianca and Knox was an absolute joy to read about and I was absolutely obsessed with this book!!! I also LOVED getting to see all the Morelli sisters included again as I love reading about this close knit sisterly bond!

🩵 thank you so much, Dani, for trusting me with your work and letting me ARC read this one! I absolutely loved it!!!

This book has a lot to unpack, and I am going to try to keep it spoil free as much as I can. This is book 2 of Morelli sisters and the author took it up to a whole new level. I had a roller coaster of emotions with this one. It is a spicy, sassy, love triangle, one bed, secret romance, and agonizing book. It will keep your emotions in check and bring them all to light, especially anger and ugly tears if you’re anything like me.
It states out with Bianca, a confident sassy fashion designer who is the favorite of the family (which was hard to wrap my head around seeing as I am not). Knox and his girlfriend start working for her families company and become closer after Knox girlfriend Rina ends up leaving. Bianca’s dad doesn’t approve of this relationship so they have to keep it secret till a big “But Daddy I Love Him” moment happens. Not gonna tell you how the story ends, cause I want you to go through those emotions on your own.
I do want to point out a major what I think is a trigger. Gaslighting parents. One thing that happens a lot in this book is parents belittling their children even when they are adults. As someone who has gone through this, it is hard to see it happen to characters in books. However it made the book more relatable and I would never take back the tears and emotions I had with this one. I think the author did an incredible job mixing hard topics in this one and I rarely see it in books anymore. Usually the plot goes, girl meets boy, they fall in love, don’t have problems that are too complicated, miscommunication, fall out of love, then back into it by the end of the book with a big gesture. If you’re looking for that in this book, then this isn’t for you. It tackles real life situations and problems that many people haven’t faced. Watching these two come past the trauma and pain that they both experienced was honesty the highlight of this book. Because of it, they came out stronger and a much better power couple.
Thank you Dani for allowing me to be apart of the ARC team for this book and I hope some of you give it a chance. It truly is a masterpiece.

Say It Isn’t So is the 2nd book in The Morelli sisters series and although I marked it at a 3 star, it definitely ended up being more of a 3.5 star read for me.

The story follows Bianca Morelli and Knox Rhodes who reconnect after bumping into each other on their way to London fashion week and find themselves caught up in a love triangle with Rina, Knox’s ex girlfriend.

I know this was supposed to be a slow burn romance, but I did feel like it took quite a long time for Bianca and Knox’s relationship to progress to something more for me. I also wasn’t a massive fan of the love triangle aspect in this one, it was done ok but I think it was made pretty clear from the start that Knox was no longer interested in Rina and this didn’t seem to change, so I didn’t really think it needed to continue as a triangle.

That being said, I did like this book and wanted to read it to the end. The characters were well written, I loved Bianca, she was full of fun, a bit feisty, with plenty of sass and determination. Knox was your typical golden retriever character, that cared a lot and wanted the best for Bianca by making sure she was happy, even if he knew he wouldn’t be. Although I did wish he would have just told Rina to get lost from the start, as you can probably tell I disliked her character a lot!

I liked that this story was written with multiple POV’s, I felt it gave the story a bit more depth as you were able to see things from each character’s perspective and it made them all a bit more relatable.

The dynamics shown between the Morelli sisters and their families throughout this book was done brilliantly, the interactions we got with all of them were great, with a lot of banter. I loved hearing their opinions and finding out a bit more about them and I am definitely intrigued enough to want to read the up coming books for each of them, especially Maria and Dom!

Well, Dani Ryan has done it again! Say It Isn’t So is book # 2 in The Morelli Sisters series and it is just pure perfection! A heartfelt, love triangle romance with family dynamics, personal growth, and also some second chances. Oh, and let’s not forget the spice.. Dani Ryan really knows how to turn up the heat! In SIIS, we follow Bianca and Knox’s story. Bianca is this sassy, confident, New York fashionista who is hardworking and adores her family. Then we have Knox… his golden retriever charm and personality is the perfect match for Bianca’s fiery personality. Knox has the determination to rise from his struggling past and he does it so well. Theresa chemistry between these two is undeniable. When Rina, Knox’s ex-girlfriend reappears, it complicates things, creating a tangled web of all sorts of emotions for everyone. Being Italian, I can totally relate to the family dynamics of the Morelli’s. The tension between Bianca and her father adds complexity to her relationship with Knox, but her relationship with her three other sisters is hilarious and so heartwarming you can feel all the love while reading.

Funny, emotional, and absolutely captivating, Say It Isn’t So is a love triangle romance you do not want to pass up on!

WOW Dani Ryan took me on a ride this time!! I loved her writing in this book and I loved almost all of the characters except for one and that was Rina!! Now she did save herself in the end but she had me wanting to hit her a few times. LOL

Knox Rhodes is wanting a change in his life. He is living with his parents and they are poor and he will never amount to anything if he sticks around this small town in Minnesota. His girlfriend Rina wants better things in life as well and wants to be in fashion so they decide to move to New York. Knox gets a job working in a meat market which Rina was not happy about. One thing leads to another and they both end up working at Bianca's parents magazine. When Rina gets a better offer she up and leave Knox for a better opportunity.

Bianca and Knox become good friends after Rina up and leaves but her father forbids it and Knox leaves. A few years down the road fate has other plans and these two run into each other on their way to Londons Fashion Week. Let the fun begin!!

These two characters will have some ups and downs throughout this book. There will be a love triangle between Knox, Bianca and Rina as she will end up showing up out of the blue. But as the story unravels you will fall in love! I had such a great time reading this book. I absolutely love the Morelli sisters. You always feel at home when you read these book with these girls. They have such a beautiful bond.

This book will have you laughing, wanting to throw your book, swooning, smiling, getting giddy and having your heart melt! I would HIGHLY recommend this book and this series.

Thank you Dani Ryan for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.

talk about a love triangle! rina, bianca, and knox - they truly take you through a whirlwind of emotions.

starting with rina - girl you need to learn how to cut your loss. after landing an amazing opportunity to further her career, she decides to break up with her amazing, supportive boyfriend Knox and move across the world to follow her fashion dreams.

knox finds a way to pick up his pieces and move forward, although listing after bianca was always in the back of his mind. whether it be fate or not, when the opportunity presents itself for bianca and knox to explore their feelings, of course bianca’s protective dad tries to put a stop to it.

now you’ve got bianca fighting her dad to approve and be supportive of her relationship with knox, rina fighting bianca to win knox back, and knox stuck in the middle of two strong minded women, both of whom could be potential options for him.

but this version of rina is just yuck! she’s so selfish, overly conceited, and just giving stuck up. and if knox can’t see that, something has to be wrong with him! she was definitely my least favorite character, and her persistence was just giving desperation, not love.

this was such a good romance! so full of love, lust, and family drama that will really keep you invested in finding out what happens!

Thank you dani ryan and hambright for this awesome arc!

Say It Ain’t So by Dani Ryan completely changed my perspective on love triangles. I’ll admit it upfront: love triangles are usually not my thing. Too often, they feel overdone, frustrating, and filled with unnecessary drama. But this book is a masterclass in how to do a love triangle right as it carefully blended heartfelt emotion, authentic characters, and just the right amount of romantic tension.

Bianca Morelli is everything you want in a heroine- strong, sassy, and deeply relatable. Her journey from self-doubt to self-assurance is beautifully written and her chemistry with Knox Rhodes is undeniable. Knox exudes golden-retriever charm and a determination to rise above his past which makes him the perfect complement to Bianca’s fiery personality. The reappearance of Rina, Knox's ex, complicates things in all the best ways, creating a tangled web of emotions that felt believable and never forced.

What made this love triangle work for me was the depth of each character. Dani Ryan doesn’t just scratch the surface; she dives deep, giving us multiple POVs that reveal everyone’s motivations, struggles, and vulnerabilities. I found myself empathizing with all the characters, even Rina, who could have easily been written off as a one-dimensional antagonist.

The family dynamics in this book are another highlight. Bianca’s interactions with her sisters are hilarious and heartwarming, and the tension with her father adds layers of complexity to her relationship with Knox. I laughed, I cried, and I cheered for Bianca and Knox as they fought for their love despite all the obstacles.

Oh, and the spice? Let’s just say Dani Ryan knows how to turn up the heat in a way that feels natural and adds to the story rather than overshadowing it.

If you’re like me and typically steer clear of love triangles, trust me when I say this one is worth the read. It’s a story about healing, fighting for what you want, and finding love in the most unexpected places. Funny, emotional, and utterly captivating, Say It Ain’t So has set a new standard for love triangle romance novels. I couldn’t put it down, and I already can’t wait to read what Dani Ryan writes next!

ARC review

Say It Isn't So is an engaging forbidden love triangle romance set in the vibrant world of the fashion industry. The story centers around Knox, a caring and endearing guy from Minnesota, and Bianca, a sassy, bold, and kind-hearted woman. Knox moves to New York with his now ex-girlfriend Rina, a determined and career-driven woman who ends their relationship to chase her ambitions.

The plot thickens as Knox and Bianca develop undeniable sexual chemistry, though Knox’s father forbids him from pursuing her. Just as their bond begins to flourish, Rina returns, intent on winning Knox back, creating a compelling love triangle filled with tension and drama.

One of the highlights of the story is how maturely Bianca handles the many complicated situations she finds herself in. Her composure and thoughtful approach make her an incredibly compelling character. I was thoroughly impressed by how well the characters were written and developed. Knox's niceness was frustrating at times, but the way Dani and Ryan handled the storyline was exceptional.

I particularly loved the use of all three perspectives, which added depth to the characters and their motivations. The bond among the sisters brought a heartwarming touch to the narrative, and the insights into the fashion industry made the story even more captivating.

Overall, Say It Isn't So is a beautifully crafted tale of love, ambition, and resilience. It’s a must-read for fans of romance with a touch of glamour!

What a story! 🥹

This book introduced me to the Morelli sisters, and what a delight it was! Although this installment can be read as a standalone, it definitely makes you want to dive into the entire universe of this family.

Before even talking about the main characters, I have to highlight the beautiful bond between the Morelli sisters. It’s heartfelt, genuine, and full of love. And their mother… such an angel! 🥹

The story follows Knox and Bianca (aka Bibi) in their romantic adventure. I fell in love with Bianca right from the start, although her first encounter with Rina left me a bit puzzled. Honestly, who does that for a stranger? But once I got past that moment, I truly enjoyed her character development. As a daddy’s girl myself, I could relate to her constant pressure to make her father proud, which added a personal touch to my reading experience.

Knox, on the other hand, didn’t fully win me over. I found him a bit lacking in depth, unsure of what he wanted, and maybe too nice at times. However, the fact that he was perfect for Bianca earned him some points. Their relationship worked, and that made me appreciate him more.

As for the multiple points of view, I struggled with them at first (there are four!), but I quickly realized how crucial they were. The two additional perspectives brought valuable insights into some of the actions, and in the end, I found this narrative choice very clever.

In summary, it’s a wonderful read that I highly recommend, especially for fans of family-centered romances and stories where human relationships take center stage.

Say It Isn’t So - Dani Ryan

The Morelli Sisters Book 2

Thank you @daniryanbooks and @hambright_pr for this gifted ARC Ebook copy.

My Review:
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Pages: 526
Genre: Romance
Tropes:

❤️‍🔥 Forbidden Romance
🚪 Open Door
🔺 Love Triangle
🖤 Close Proximity
🛏️ One Bed
🎀 "But Daddy, I Love Him"
🤞🏻 Strong Sisterly Bond

Knox is the most swoon worthy MMC I’ve read about in a long time! I don’t blame women for fighting for him. I was definitely on Bianca’s side though. She loved him for who he was and didn’t expect him to change to fit her world.

Rina wasn’t necessarily a bad person. She had her life goal planned out and wasn’t letting anything or anyone come between her and her goals.

Add in an Italian father who insist there will not be a relationship between Knox and Bianca and you’ve got over the top drama and angst on top of Rina’s interference.

You definitely need to read this book to find out how it turns out for everyone. Knox is definitely worth fighting for! Go preorder this book and fall in love with Knox. He will win over your heart too!

To be published December 31st.

"Let me tell you the story of how I got stuck in a love triangle with the one man my father forbade from ever seeing me."

Two years ago, Bianca met Knox Rhodes and Rina Blum—who were dating at the time. When Rina broke up with Knox to chase her dreams, a door opened for Bianca and Knox and they built a friendship until Bianca's father forced Knox out of the picture. Fast forward to the present where Bianca and Knox reconnect during London Fashion week, and Rina is thrown back into the mix.

I wanted to like this book, but it just wasn’t for me. While Bianca's character had her redeeming moments, I struggled to connect with the rest of the cast. Many of the characters, particularly Knox and Rina, came across as immature, petty, and selfish making them hard to root for. The writing style didn’t help, as it often felt repetitive and choppy, pulling me out of the story.

The forbidden love element—especially Bianca’s father’s deep-seated grudge against Knox—felt disconnected and lacked the depth I was hoping for. The premise had potential, and there were some genuinely cute scenes sprinkled throughout, but the overwhelming drama overshadowed these moments.

That said, if you enjoy fashion-centric settings, drama, and love triangles with a dose of pettiness, Say It Isn’t So might be right up your alley. For me, though, it was more frustrating than fun, and I found it difficult to fully immerse myself in Bianca’s story.

Well, let’s just say Dani Ryan knocked it out of the park with this one!

This book focuses on Bianca and Knox and their love story. Once again I’m blown away as we get a glimpse into another Morelli. The characters were described vividly. Bianca is a young, strong, independent, and very sexy women. Although not in her eyes, so she is lacking a bit of self-confidence.

With a strong Italian family, Bianca is one of four sister, and a daddy’s girl. Bianca was well written and is an amazing FMC. The banter and sex appeal between Bianca and Knox is off the charts. 🔥

Knox is everything an MMC should be - hot, sexy as he**, possessive, and confident. He may not come from the same background as Bianca, which is a tight knit Italian family with a family owed magazine empire Bellissima, though he is well on his way to a successful future of his own.

There is another female in the mix, Rina, and she has a history with Knox, which creates an interesting love triangle. Dani beautifully did the love triangle. This love triangle and forbidden romance takes you on a rollercoaster ride which in the end leaves you happy, but wanting more, more of the Morellis.

I can’t wait to read the rest of the Morelli series and see just how swoon-worthy the last of the sisters’ stories play out.

Thank you Dani Ryan for another amazing book. 🥰

The book is addicting. It actually held my interest from start to finish without any distractions. I even didn’t want to swipe reels in between. The writing is good, and it is the first time I am reading by the author. The Morelli sisters are strong pillars, who we all want in our life’s. The connection between them is just wow.

Let me tell you that I hate love triangles, but this one is really a great one, with clarity that didn’t mess up my head. It was a good love triangle but actually not a love triangle (you will get my drift once you read the book). It fits the bill, but I personally will not keep it in that section since I could see from where all this was coming.

Knox is such a sweetheart and devoted person. I loved his character, vibe, and heart. Bianca is the star and such a sweet-hearted girl. I can read about her all day long. Rina is a miss for me. I got her perspective, but I don’t agree with her thought process at all. The ending epilogue sparked my interest in her story.

The best thing I felt was that it had the POVs of all the people that are needed at any given point of interaction. There was just no repetition while switching POVs, it was a great and smooth flow of the story and plot. I would definitely want to see where Bianca’s career goes and how everything fares up. As of now, I am with the story.

All the tension, all the drama, and all the heart, you can handle, in an absolutely dynamite read! It gives you a love triangle with an ex who can’t get the hint, so much fashion and glitz and glamour, a huge overbearing and over the top Italian family, a scary Italian dad who’s forbidden the relationship and goes all out to prove he means it, and Knox and Bianca smack in the middle of it all, in a read that’s a dash of romcom, lots of electric chemistry, and two people with that special something that can’t be denied, brings out each other’s best, and just turns you into a puddle of in love goo. A simply fabulous and completely amazing read!
Sweet and funny with loads of swoon, I ate this up! {While pacing my living room and biting my nails, the tension is that good and you are dying through half this read waiting for a train wreck or the best love story ever.) There is a love triangle and it plays it’s part but the heart of the story is finding that perfect person for you, family pushback and support, how much you’re willing to lose for that love, and all the craziness that comes with going after what you want while navigating all the interference, and honestly it’s so perfect. Just a great read with a couple that feels so genuine and easy and made specifically for each other.

Well things could certainly be worse in her universe.Bianca Morelli though went there and blow to her father , he can do one . She’s not losing the one. So a triangle she will enter ,front and centre. Knox Rhodes was purposely kept at bay by her father who turned him away. Apparently he was instrumental in Rina getting her big break and dropping Knox first chance she got but then the second revelation . Mr Morelli dissuades Mr Rhodes from gunning for his daughter ,forbids the chance for him to seek even a dance….Knox let her know her father’s embargo with his precious cargo when they met catching a plane...It’s plain to see she’s going to get her day define her father her own sweet way. Seething she is and has had enough… Little did she know though…A triangle she did enter because Rina Blum keeps wanting Knox to succumb and go back into her arms instead of Bianca’s charms ,but she keeps her man and anchors him to herself. She’s top shelf and in the fashion industry dripping with self wealth a tangled web but there it is. Bianca has her own self worth and she remains his. There’s so many layers but this is the gist . Say It Isn’t So is worth a look ,it’s a decent with good storyline.Good writing ,inviting enough with all the layers of the players and their stuff ,their shit and how they deal with it.

𝔹𝕐 𝔻𝔸ℕ𝕀 ℝ𝕐𝔸ℕ

Say It Isn’t So, is a love story with a love triangle. I’ve never read one before, so Dani Ryan’s book was my first. But her story was well written & as well as her characters. I love multiple POVs in any story. I love the family bond, interaction & banter between Bianca & her sisters! Their bond is like no other… You’ll get a good laugh while reading this as well! I loved how fashion was played in this story. I like how Dani shows representation of the characters that came from nothing & want to make a better life for themselves.

Bianca is a fun FMC, she’s strong, she brings such amazing energy, passion for fashion & some sass! Her energy is addicting! Knox is an irresistible, sweet MMC. Who wouldn’t want Knox? Rina doesn’t know what she lost! Bianca & Knox are perfect for each other & I was rooting for them both! I know it took awhile for them to figure it out & get there but they deserve each other! Bianca’s father isn’t an easy man. This is a true love story with a love triangle. Rina not knowing what she had when she had it, shows! But Knox & Bianca are a way better fit! If you’re a fan of love triangles, slow burn romance, family bonds, banter, spice & some drama… this read is for you!

Hoo boy, how do I even begin?

Bianca is her daddy’s favorite. She’s also not completely comfortable with herself, and seeks affirmation from other people..

Rina and Knox left small-town Minnesota for New York, both of them trying to get their big breaks. Rina later decides it’s better for her to cut the dead weight that is Knox and really go for her dream of being a fashion designer. Why she can’t do that while being with Knox, I have no clue. But when she sees Knox again at her first fashion show in London, and sees Bianca with him…well, I guess it’s a matter of she didn’t know what she had when she had it, and now she thinks she’s gonna get it back.

Let me be clear, I don’t love stories with love triangles, but I love Dani Ryan, and I knew she wouldn’t do her audience wrong with this book. There are bold choices made in the writing, such as giving POV chapters not only to Knox and Bianca, but to Rina and Angelo (Bianca’s father) as well. I honestly can’t think of another romance novel that I’ve read that has done something like this, because it’s rare in any genre. Usually writers stick to convention, writing single or dual points of view in a novel. Dani definitely breaks with said convention, and also with the fact that this book is over five hundred pages long.

Does that make you balk? It shouldn’t. It’s worth the time invested, because this is an epic love story that spans several years, and involves a lot of triumphs and tribulations.

There were aspects of Bianca that I really identified with; when Bianca starts getting to know Knox again, and wants to be friends (she really wants more, but it’s too early for that), her father, who has already gotten rid of Knox once, basically forbids her from seeing Knox. Yeah, you read that right. Her father forbids his ADULT DAUGHTER from seeing Knox. I went through something similar when I met and was dating my husband, but the animosity was coming from my mother. She even told me I was making a mistake and would be divorced within a year. Dave and I just celebrated our twenty-seventh anniversary a couple of months ago.

Therefore, I completely understand how it feels to find out your parent doesn’t trust you to make good decisions for yourself, especially when you’re AN ADULT. It hurts, and it’s so, so demoralizing. It made me really angry to watch Bianca go through that, too. And isn’t that what a story is supposed to do? Make you feel things? Well, we are definitely sorted on that front. I felt A LOT of things, both happy and not, throughout this book.

Knox and Bianca are perfect together, even though it takes them both a while to figure that out. Rina suddenly reappearing doesn’t help matters, and boy, I had some words in my head for Knox when didn’t outright reject his ex. Sure, he’s a nice guy and doesn’t want to hurt anyone, but come ON, dude, get a clue. Never get back with an ex just because it's familiar and easy.

To sum it all up, what you get out of life depends on your priorities. For me, there is one thing that will always come before anything else, and that is my husband. Your career won’t keep you warm at night, take care of you when you’re sick, hold your hand when you’re walking in the park. It won't tell you it loves you, won't support you emotionally or mentally, won't pick you up when you fall down. Rina hasn’t figured that out yet. Spoiler alert: Knox is not as dumb.

This is the longest book review I’ve ever written, and I’ve only scratched the surface of the plot points and emotions in this story. I’ll leave you with this: it’s worth the read. It’s worth the time you will put into it. You might want to have a box of tissues nearby in case of crying. Just read it.
